And then Dr Shonia: Sorted out my immediate issue and after a full exam brought me up to speed with the plan going forward. All for a reasonable price. Negative experience: I cancelled an appointment due to Covid, I was told they would contact me. They didn’t because I was an NHS patient. They then said I had to leave because I hadn’t booked Ann appointment. Work on my teeth was very poor as well as the attitude I received.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Cambridge Smile Studio for 23 years since my move to Cambridge. I have over this period found their service, consistency and capability to be of a very high order. However my recent experience in May of this year has compelled me to write this review. A tooth totally disintegrated late one night. I was seen the following morning on an emergency appointment and the broken crown which I had retained was re-attached. A truly amazing performance! It is reassuring that in this increasingly depersonalised Internet age, Smile Studio retains its very personal and contactable reception and very capable and efficient dental service. Many thanks.

Fantastic experience: We are very happy with the dental hygienist Danesh who treats both me and my teenage daughter. He is so gentle with the cleaning and so kind in explaining all and helping with improving our oral hygiene routines. He also pays special attention when speaking to children and young teens to explain the matter but not to make them feel self conscious about their appearance. I highly recommend his services.

Fantastic experience: This dental practice had sorted my tooth problems in a very efficient way, they are able to offer me an appointment within a few days. Dr Puja is very professional and friendly, she understands my situation and keeps all treatment transparent. The root canal treatment process is pain free despite it's working with the nerves. 5 star is the maximum, but it's not sufficient to indicate how good you are. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: This was my second appointment with my Hygienist Danish, who ensures going for an appointment is, calm, and virtually pain-free. I dreaded these appointments in the past because they were very uncomfortable and painful. The procedure has now improved without having an injection in your mouth to numb the areas, Danish used a numbing gel around the gums, and minutes later my gums were ready for the treatment Throughout the procedure, Danish asked if l was ok and would stop intermittently to ensure l was comfortable and feeling ok. Throughout the process, l didn't feel any pain at all. Thank you Danish, l will see you in 4 months ;o)

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. I’ve just had an emergency appointment, after a large filling fell out. The admin staff were very helpful and efficient and were able to book me in very quickly. My regular dentist was unavailable but I received excellent treatment from another dentist who was able to access my x-rays and make a temporary repair. I was then given a follow-up appointment to see my own dentist next week.

Fantastic experience: I visited this dental practice today with my 5 year old son for the first time. We had back to back appointments with Dr Puja Chudasama and she was absolutely brilliant. My sons last dentist appointment at our previous practice was a complete disaster, (he has autism and can find certain situations overwhelming), but Dr Puja Chudasama put him at ease instantly with her kind, friendly and bubbly nature. She’s a real credit to the practice and we will be returning regularly for our check ups. Thank you ❤️

Negative experience: I really do not know where to start with this review. To say that I am dissatisfied with this practice is an understatement. If it were possible to give zero stars I would. I came to Cambridge in 1991 and registered myself, my husband and two children with the practice that year. It was then owned by Dr Vincent ( I think that was his name). We had excellent service treatment at the practice for many years and would never have contemplated going anywhere else. Fast forward to this year and it is a completely different story. Firstly it is nigh on impossible to get through to the practice by phone and the call back service is equally bad. I had no idea that patients were being 'knocked off' the NHS list if more than six months had elapsed . The practice hadn't notified us of this. It was quite by chance that I phoned to make an appointment. When I eventually made contact I was told that this was the case but I was just in time. I made an appointment for a check up. I was allocated a new dentist (Dr Hey) and duly turned up for the appointment . I have had anxiety problems surrounding dentistry and for whatever reason cannot go to the hygienist. I had made previous appointments but had always had to cancel them. I asked Dr Hey if I could have the work done on the NHS and by the dentist and not the hygienist. She was very dismissive and I felt like a naughty school child as she said it would only be considered if I did a better job of cleaning my teeth. I have always done this to the best of my ability and was upset from that point on as she was very abrupt and totally lacking in empathy. My anxiety levels rose and I couldn't wait to get out of the room. I felt like a second class citizen as an NHS patient and quite frankly felt bullied. I left the practice in tears and took a long time to calm down. I wrote a letter to Dr. Quareshi (I think he is the owner) but had no reply from him. I then tried phoning the practice several time with no success. Eventually I left a message on the answerphone asking the Practice Manager or Dr. Quareshi to phone me. This did not happen. I have since registered with another practice who have been lovely and sensitive to my anxiety needs. I can't even get through to the Smile Studio to cancel the appointment that was made. I never leave reviews as a rule but in this instance I would like to share my experience of this practice with people who have mental health/anxiety issues. If you have anxiety and need empathy avoid this practice. Awful.

Fantastic experience: After the first visit to Cambridge Smile dental practice my impressions are so positive. Online communication was prompt and clear. The dental practice place is conveniently located, clean and welcoming with nice, helpful reception staff. Dentist and nurse were very caring making me feel well looked after. I had a simple check up only, so can not give broader feedback in this regard. But most of all, I'm overly happy to finally be assigned to the dentist as NHS patient, what I tried to do for last several years with no result!

Fantastic experience: Danesh is a very considerate, careful and thorough Hygienist . I am pleased he is now taking care of me.

Negative experience: Obviously it depends on the dentist. But for two others (not including myself) I know, the fillings came out only after a few days and the tooth started breaking. Every tooth they touch begins to have more problems than before. While working on one tooth, they accidentally broke another. The worst part is that they don’t even take responsibility for fixing the problems they caused. I wouldn’t trust them with anything important.

Negative experience: I am writing to you on behalf the patient who is a long term suffer of multiple sclerosis hence lacks the hand dexterity to write an review herself. The patient was recently refused dental treatment by her routine dentist. The reason given was that she had not attended in nearly two years. The dental surgery has been made aware of the patient multiple sclerosis and adult at risk status on several occasions. Unfortunately for the near two year period the patients symptoms have been more pronounced making mobility difficult and painful thus preventing her attending routine dental appointments. With the symptoms currently improved but with no idea how long this will last the patient attempted to make an appointment but was refused. The patient and other medical professionals reminded the practice and Director of the multiple dental surgery company Dr Shah of her illness and adult at risk status both verbally and in writing. Unfortunately Dr Shah whilst fully informed chose to breach the care act of 2014 and refuse treatment. This is of course devastating to the patient but also terrifying to see medical professionals ignore safeguarding legislation so openly.

Fantastic experience: Danish and Dr. He are wonderful. Both of them are professional and well look after the patients. Thank you for their hard work.

Negative experience: **Tragically** My dear mother passed away only to have this vile Dentistry practice, send a bailiff company round to my elderly father to collect money that was not owed in the slightest. I'm still waiting for the refund of this money that they fully admit I do not owe, However , the area manager who is a disgrace to deal with is still unable to refund me money that was taken unduly. That is called theft. I'm afraid it is also called Clinical Negligence When you screw up taking someone's tooth out. I would go nowhere near these people , especially when the very aggressive area manager, who doesn't speak english well, makes it clear that she is there to make money!! My mouth was ruined by these people. As A direct consequence of their malpractice I have spent a fortune abroad getting my teeth rectified. Is it really worth it??!!

Fantastic experience: I've had cause to utilise the services of dentist Hongyi He, her nurse Lacie, hygienist Amal Amish and the reception team over the last couple of days. They have all been very personable and highly efficient in the services they provided as well as having time for the patient which in my experience has been the norm at this practice for the 15 years that I have been a patient here. Heartily recommend them without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: Smile Studio gives excellent service. Phones are usually answered promptly by friendly and efficient receptionists, who also run a calm waiting room. All the dentists I have met here have been excellent - approachable, friendly and very clear about the procedures and treatment, so I understood what's happening and why. And the hygienist is first-rate. He is kind, pleasant, careful, explains his work, then carries it out considerately.
