Century Dental Clinic is a private dental practice in the heart of Welwyn Garden City. Our location within the Sainsbury’s supermarket allows us to provide our patients with free parking, extended opening hours on a Wednesday and Saturday's by appointment only.
We welcome children, nervous patients, patients looking for a full smile makeover and those that are simply looking to maintain their dental health. We always welcome new patients and our friendly team are ready to answer any questions or queries you may have.

Fantastic experience: Update (2025): I recently saw Dr. Davina, who was incredibly attentive and professional. Davina took the time to answer all my questions in detail and clearly explained the condition of my teeth, what to watch out for and the options moving forward. I am happy with all the useful information and the high level of service I received. Original review (2023): I was looking for a new dentist and was really concerned to make the wrong choice due to having negative experience in the past. My friend recommended me this practice, as she had been their patient for many years and always happy with the service. So far I’ve had 2 appointments with Dr Anna (new patient check up + scale and polish and the second one to get the tooth filling). Both appointments greatly exceeded my expectations. Dr Anna is very friendly, polite, professional and answered all my questions in detail. Great job with the filling as well, looks very natural and no pain or discomfort after the treatment whatsoever. Very happy with the experience and already booked my next appointment to get a filling in another tooth. The receptionists are also very friendly and professional. Best experience at the dentist I have ever had.

Negative experience: I found the experience this visit to be very poor. One of my crowns fell out and I requested a temporary covering. The dentist gave me a very poor temporary covering which was no better than leaving the tooth as it was. I wanted a temporary filling which would look and act like a tooth filling. But the result I got was so poor, practically nothing. This result still cost me £126 . Unacceptable, therefore I have registered with a different practice. And I will not return to Century, Welwyn Garden City.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sand was very proffesional (as far as I can be a judge of that) and he didn't just solve the problem I had with a crown but he also explained me what caused the issue. The surgey is located at the upper level of WGC Sainsbury's and I found that to be an advantage because of the included parking. The supporting staff at reception were kind and efficient. I certainly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Been using the dentist for years now. Use the dental plan which is cost effective. Work only gets done when required. Staff are lovely and friendly. Clean and tidy premises. Free parking. Flexible appointments. Would recommend to others. Had emergency treatment last week, again can't recommend the practice enough.

Positive experience: I would have given 5 star but in view of the fact that I had to ask for the and remind them of my usual checkups before they arranged for thexample two meetings. If I am subscribing regularly you should be doing this without any clarifications, etc.

Fantastic experience: After years on NHS dental care, lack of money for private treatment due to young family, mortgage payments, trying to keep a car on the road etc. I ended up with gum problems. Some of which is down to inherited genes, now 61yrs old and fighting to keep my back teeth. I now find myself with extra money. 6yrs ago I started a dental plan, I couldn't believe the difference compared to NHS service. I go to the hygienist every 3 months and currently having treatment for my gum problems. I cannot thank the dentists and hygienists enough for their professionalism, skill and care. I know it can be expensive at times, but it's money well spent. I just wish I had started this plan many years ago Thanks again kind regards Warren
