Positive experience: My first time receiving treatment here (filling, xrays, clean and polish).....I'm a very nervous patient but there was no need to be. Dentist was very gentle and I felt no pain! Only reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 was an admin error when I came to pay. Highly recommend them though.

Fantastic experience: It took ages to finally book my Nan into a dental practice as a NHS patient, and thankfully Harlestone Road dental practice took her on. Dr Ridhika Kakad was wonderful! She was kind and patient and thoroughly explained the recommended dental plan to sort my Nans problems out. I’ve not seen my Nan so happy in years, she is finally on a structured plan to help her get back to eating the foods she loves and living an enjoyable life I’ve been a private patient at this dental practice for over a year now and have had no problems, everyone who works here has always been so helpful and supportive. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone in Northampton who is looking for guidance and recommendations on the best plans on your affordability ☺️

Negative experience: Very bad,I made an appointment by phone for a tooth extraction, I paid a deposit of £85, when I got there I paid another £125 for the consultation and another £43 for the x-ray so they could reschedule me for another day, with different money, because that's the procedure, but I went to another clinic and they pulled my tooth out in 15 minutes

Fantastic experience: I had broken a tooth which was very uncomfortable, the receptionist was very helpful and said I could come the next week as a NHS patient or the next day privately. I chose to come the following day. The dentist Parmdip Jutla was very kind and explained that she could refer me to Northampton General hospital for free treatment in about 2 weeks time. Also Parmdip took an X-ray and said I had an abcess, because there was little tooth to get a hold of she wasn't sure if there may be some root left. She explained that if some root didn't come away it would work itself out eventually. I had decided to leave Harlestone Road surgery because they became private, but they couldn't have been more helpful. Also they now have a NHS dentist and so I am back on their books with a check up due in August.

Negative experience: I left this practice 1.5 or maybe 2 years ago now probably but wanted to share my experience. I was told that I needed a filling. I've been lucky with my teeth and have never had braces or fillings so far. He showed me where I needed a filling on the x-ray and I couldn't see it... He had to change the exposure of the x-ray so much for me to slightly see something. That immediately made me suspicious. Then they tried to suggest I need it doing asap as it will only get worse. I booked it further ahead than they suggested to give me time to think about it... It turned out that in this time they decided they were going completely private and not taking any NHS appointments. This made me more suspicious so I went to another dentist (private and paid for) but I wanted another option. Turns out I've had 2 check ups with them and she says I have a slight dent in my tooth but I don't need a filling. So even though I still have to pay I'd much rather pay for an honest dentist! It really felt like they were trying to suggest I needed more work at the time they were going private to make people pay more. Did not like their approach. Here I am 1.5/2yrs later having gone to another dentist after two appointments and am paying privately and still don't need any work done and my tooth has not got any worse. So glad I got another opinion!

Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist Hannah Chandler is an excellent professional, very careful not to cause any pain, providing a gentle, high-standard service with good advice for maintaining a good dental hygiene routine. She is not critical about the condition of your mouth, which makes us feel comfortable. Hannah Chandler you the best

Negative experience: This practice on multiple occasions has cancelled all our pre booked NHS appointments for Private ones instead. It’s a bit of a coincidence that on every occasion the dentist is ‘very poorly’ When I called this out on our 3rd cancellation, the receptionist didn’t know how to respond. I’ve told the dentist a Google review will be submitted - they’ve advised me against it. So do the right thing, call me and let’s talk like grown ups!

Negative experience: As a dental practice which prides itself on working with patients with dental anxiety, today did not stand up to those expectations. I have been very clear with my expectations and boundaries to work through my significant and lifelong dental anxieties, and my dentist,Jennifer, has done an amazing job at reducing anxieties and building confidence and ease in visiting the dentist. Today those boundaries were totally trampled over by the admin team, leaving my confidence in the practice in shatters. If one boundary can be ignored as easily as this one is, what other needs will be ignored?
