Fantastic experience: I was a new patient to the practice, the receptionist was amazing(sorry don’t know name but had long blonde hair ) she was so professional and friendly and outlined everything I needed to know. I had a cracked tooth and was seen early the very next morning. I was seen by the Dental Surgeon Sonam, and her dental nurse. Sonam was amazing she really put me at ease as I was petrified. She explained absolutely everything and then explained the best course of treatment. She made sure I was out of pain until I can attend next week for her to remove a tooth for me. I was so worried but didn’t need to have been. I can’t thank Sonam enough and would highly recommend. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Dr Bhavisha Patel has a lovely caring and empathetic personality. Willing to try her best to reassure and help after an allergy to a product. Fitting me in to her schedule to help see me. Her colleague Dr Ria Chande, my normal dentist has always been excellent too. The hygienist I saw yesterday was superb, very gentle and caring (apologies that I didn’t catch the name)…. All in all a great friendly, helpful practice.

Fantastic experience: Recently my 8yr old SEN child needed to have an extra tooth out that was stopping his others from coming down. Shilpa was amazing with him. She really explained everything in a way he could understand, she even allowed him to choose a song on Alexa because this made him feel better. He sat perfectly and had all the injections he needed and had the tooth pulled as well with minimal issues. I can't thank her enough for the patience and understanding she showed that day. If you're in the same boat I would definitely allow them to at least try and get the tooth out. Brilliant team!!!!!

She apologised for being later than my appointment time and was excellent cleaning my teeth and when I asked a question she was very knowledgeable with her answers. An excellent service. Surgery was managed with strict management over procedure and infection control I was delighted with the first class treatment and applaud everyone who helped me through it and provided the after treatment support.

Fantastic experience: First visit for my husband and myself, today. Having moved to the area recently, and come from a wonderful prior dentist for 27 years, we were nervous about the comparison, but we were more than happy this morning. Our dentist was incredibly thorough and professional. She didn't encourage work to be done, she explained everything very clearly. Was encouraging to my husband (who isn't great at dentists). We were very happy, and would definitely recommend to anyone local.

Fantastic experience: My dentist Bhavisha goes above and beyond, we have been working towards getting my teeth in good shape for bonding. A year and a half it’s took but we’re almost there. My hygienist has been excellent too and all the lovely dental nurses. The receptionists are always pleasant and extremely helpful & friendly. Fantastic experience: Truly an amazing dentist, I had an appointment for a check up and needed a filling () Dr Sonam Thakkar explained to me how my tooth looked, she explained my options and the prices, we booked in for 2 weeks time, I got a call the next day offering a much sooner appointment (I was busy then tho so couldn't take it but it's nice to be offered) For my filling appointment I got called in at my scheduled time, she was really nice, Dr Sonam Thakkar explained what would happen, she talked to me through it, let me have my eyes closed, I have medical conditions that mess with numbing and also needle phobia and she did everything the could (and succeeded) in keeping it down to 1 needle (last filling I had needed 3!!) The most important thing for me is she told me that I'm in control (I've had a lot of medical staff in my life do stuff without input from me so that's incredibly important for me to hear) She told me how to alert her if I need to stop and how to do so. She explained "you'll feel a little pinch with the needle then when you're numb you can wear the headphones" and where the needle would go so I could be ready, it only hurt a bit then we chatted a bit while waiting for it to work I got to wear my headphones for all the drilling and such, I took them off during the breaks and she explained the next step "you'll feel pressure like a pushing as I fill the drilled hole" then I could put my headphones back on and then I was done! She explained the aftercare to me, asked if I had any questions and was genuinely such a lovely person! I have A LOT of medical anxiety, needle phobia, sensory icks etc but she made it as good and as unscary of an experience as it could have been, really really recommend her if you're an anxious patient like me and remember fillings really don't need to be that scary! Thank you Dr Sonam Thakkar!

Fantastic experience: I am most impressed with this dental surgery. I have used them for a while now for my routine dental surgery and always been happy. This last 18 months I have under gone Invisalign treatment, instructed by Hanish Chotai, with some Bioclear Vaneers, completed by Shilpa Chotai. I cannot rate them highly enough. Never once did they put pressure on me to undergo this treatment, they explained each stage clearly giving me options and most valuable of all providing support if needed. Fantastic experience: A truly fantastic Dentist. Over nearly 10 years I've been supported with wisdom teeth complications, fillings, root canals and some emergencies. Previously a very nervous patient with bad experiences elsewhere, but I have so much confidence in these Dentists and I'm so much better at receiving treatment now thanks to them. I am always put at ease with their friendly demeanour from walking into Reception through to the chair. You don't feel rushed if you need to make a decision and everything is fully informed in a real personable way. You understand what the options there are and what to expect from start to finish of any treatments. During treatment it's a very calm environment and you are talked through each step which I find very helpful. I've never struggled to get an appointment and they are great for those unexpected emergencies. I'd never go anywhere else and I highly recommend their exceptional services.

Fantastic experience: After a terrible experience with a previous dentist, it had taken me nearly 13 years to conjure up the confidence to find another dentist. Luckily my husband always said his dentist was very good. Going to the dentist had alway been an anxious experience so finally I took a leap of faith and registered with Hanish at Desford Dental Surgery - it turned out to be the best decision I made. From initially calling to register and make an appointment I was met with kindness, patience and reassurance. On arrival at the practice, receptionists were lovely - polite and helpful. Meeting Hanish and Rumaanah his dental nurse I was immediately put at ease, listened to and everything that was going to happen was explained thoroughly. The kindness, patience and reassurance I received was greatly appreciated and I would genuinely say to anyone who suffers Dental anxiety to come here.

Fantastic experience: Shilpa and Jessica are fabulous! I recently had a course of whitening followed by biowraps on my upper front teeth. Having always had slightly wonky, gappy teeth i wanted to explore options. Shilpa laid out several options and we agreed on a course together. I felt informed and supported all the way through, with lots of check in and follow ups to make sure I was happy. And I am! I am much more confident in smiling and really happy that I went ahead. Negative experience: Unfortunately appointments never seem to run on time and there is extended waiting times which is very difficult to manage in a working day. I suggest appointments need to be scheduled much more carefully

After another dentist made me feel anxious (to the point of not booking a dentist appointment for a number of years) I did a lot of reading of reviews and websites to find a new dentist, and I can see why so many people left complimentary reviews of DDC! Hanish talked me through every step of the checkup, spoke to the dental nurses with complete respect and consulted me on different options available to me (all of which were absent at my previous dentist). I now feel far more comfortable booking my next appointment and look forward to seeing the team again. The practice is clean, comfortable and calming making the whole experience far less anxious.

Fantastic experience: My son recommended Desford Dental Care to me as I have a fear of dentists especially injections after having several reactions to them but Hanish immediately put me at ease & I was fine. On several of my visits I have met a lovely assistant named Jess who also put me at ease. Hanish passed me onto Shilpa for reconstruction of my front teeth, on my first appointment for discussion of treatment I was immediately put at ease as I was on the 2 treatments of 2 hours each appointment & I was also pleased on each visit to have Jess as the assistant & on each occasion the care & professionalism of both Dentists & assistant was first class. Negative experience: Firstly, my previous review has been deleted unfortunately demonstrating a lack of liability within the practice. Yesterday, when trying to book in (as an ex employee of the practice) I was informed I had been struck off of the list and completely refused service by all dentists at DDC due to an ex-employment basis, rather than a patient basis demonstrating this practice does not put their patients first. When discussing this with the reception team the incapable receptionist failed to put the call on hold whilst making abrupt comments about myself. This then lead to the excuse of ‘I am just a receptionist’ which in no case is acceptable. When discussing this with the practice manager I was faced with a huge lack of consideration towards the painful situation I was in leaving me resourceless. In the future, I would recommend the team works to suggest alternatives for suffering patients and reception are up to date with relevant technology skills.

Fantastic experience: Very well run Dental practice. Strong regular communication and reminders circulated which is a good sign of being very organised. Had two interventions this week from Dr. Sonam THAKKAR, both went very well. Dr Thakkar was explaining the procedure every step of the way and all went superbly well. Also thanks to the assistants who also contribute to the good experience.

Most importantly every step was explained clearly and this helped my confidence so much. He is professional and efficient at all times. Fantastic experience: I had some rather exceptional treatment today carried out by the wonderfully talented & lovely Shilpa Chotai who is a Bioclear trained dentist at the Desford Dental Care practice. The treatment is very specialised & requires a great deal of skill & patience. Hopefully it was going to be 2, fairly straightforward, white, Bioclear fillings, however, when she removed the old filling, a large amount of tooth came away causing a great deal more work & problem's than anticipated for her. Nevertheless, she grasped the situation with both hands & of course expertise & after a lot of patience & perseverance, I now have 2 beautiful teeth to be proud of! I'm no dentist but i can appreciate the artistry that Shilpa created. I have a follow-up appointment booked in a couple of weeks to report how things have been & I received a lovely phone call this afternoon asking how I was after my treatment earlier today & asking me just to be mindful of certain things.
