Andrew could see l was a little nervous but quickly put me at ease. He explained the process so l would know what was happening and then expertly removed the tooth. I can honestly say there was no pain and l was very relieved that the whole process was oner in minutes. I will definitely recommend Andrew to friends.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has always struggled with dental anxiety, I was very nervous about attending my first appointments at this dental centre. However, thanks to the kindness and patience shown by Anne-Marie and Kimberly, my anxiety has eased considerably. With the membership, I receive two check-ups and two hygienist appointments each year. At every visit, they take the time to update me on my teeth and gum health, as well as provide helpful advice on brushing techniques. Both Anne-Marie and Kimberly are incredibly patient, always checking if I’m okay and reassuring me that I can stop at any point if I need to. A big thank you to both of them for making my experience so positive!

Negative experience: I have realised that the practice has created a new Google review account under "Clifton Moor Dental Care" as the previous google account "Clifton Moor Dental Centre" had bad reviews. Both names are under the same address (Tower Court Health Centre, Oakdale Road, Clifton Moor) I had been a client of this practice for 17 years, and for the first time in 17 years I required an emergency appointment due to an infected tooth. I had been taking off the counter analgesics and I was in agony, unable to sleep at night due to pain. I was given an appointment 2 days later, to be told (after a less than 5 minutes consultation) that the pain was probably caused by trauma and to continue with the off the counter analgesics/anti inflammatory treatment (ibuprofen and paracetamol) and that the pain would hopefully go away. Four days later, I had to be taken for out of hours emergency treatment in Hull due to septicaemia. At that point I had fever, the left part of my face was swollen and my eye closed. I could not open the mouth, I could not eat and I had to use a straw to drink fluids for over a week as a result of the severity and extent of the infection. The answer of the practice was that the infection happened after I was seen and that they did all that they could at the time- so they would not accept any responsibility for the misdiagnosis or for not alleviating the pain at the time and/or preventing a potential septicaemia. I have escalated the complaint and I have now registered with another dental practice. It seems that Clifton Moor Dental care (or Dental centre?) is more interested in aesthetics than in primary care as I keep getting marketing about their dental cosmetic services- yet they failed to provide the primary care for their patients and failed to avoid unnecessary suffering and pain. I have also been left with sequels in the left side of my face. My husband had a similar experience with a rushed consultation and a wisdom tooth. He is now with another dental practice too and he's being treated.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. I had a teeth whitening gum guard fitted with accompanying gel. My dentist Dr Coward was brilliant- he talked me through the process and the follow up care has been superb. My teeth look so much better now. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I recently had a loose filling. Dr Coward fixed it there and then. Very diligent work and great it was fixed quickly.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to CMDC after a failed wisdom tooth extraction had left behind the roots and the bottom part of the tooth which was really sensitive and sore. So in my mind, I was sure that when I went to have the rest of the tooth and roots removed, I would want sedation at the very least. But my dentist, Shubham assured me that I would be pain free just with a sufficient local if I wanted to have it taken out during the initial appointment which this was - first time I had been here after my referral. He was very re-assuring and made me feel relaxed. He had it all done, including stitches within about ten minutes and I had full confidence in him all the time. It is comforting to know that this level of dentistry exists, if you go to the right place. The whole exprience was so much better than most of the dentists I have seen in the past, which has been numerous, probably between 25 and 30, I have moved around quite a lot. Fantastic experience: Cannot fault the treatments I have had from Dr Simon Holmes, all the more so as I have implants, crowns (he has just made me a new crown on the new amazing machine) & also a tiny denture.

Fantastic experience: Great work by Andrew and the dental nurse earlier today installing a crown over a broken tooth for me. Andrew explained to me graphically how the crown is designed from information modelling, then how it is made from a small cube of material, followed by showing me the machines which sculptured the cube into the crown.

Fantastic experience: I had a lose Wisdom tooth and was very nervous as I have never had any dental treatment before. I saw Dr Andrew Coward who put me at ease straight away, talked me through the procedure and what was happening at each stage making the whole experience comfortable. Andrew was very professional and clearly good at what he does. I would highly recommend Andrew if you are looking for a dentist!

Fantastic experience: Over recent years I have had a variety of treatments at the Clifton Moor Dental Centre, crowns, implants, fillings and extractions not to mention regular check ups all of which have been undertaken to the highest standard with significant care. I would recommend the practice to anyone needing any dental care.

Fantastic experience: I have recently finished my treatment for a front tooth implant by Dr Shubham Mittal and I couldn't be more impressed and delighted with the result. Shubham is extremely talented and thorough and makes you feel at ease and confident. He doesn't rush things and makes sure everything is just right before the next stage. The implant has made such a difference to my confidence and I highly recommend Dr Shubham.

Fantastic experience: I recently had surgery a bridge removed and bone grafting in preparation for my implants all done by DR Shubam Mittal and his team . Everything went really well and I was well looked after looking forward to getting my new implants fitted . I would highly recommend Dr Mittal to anyone needing implants

Fantastic experience: I had implant surgery a few weeks ago by Dr Shubham Mittal. I can't praise the doctor enough. I am sure that I am in good hands! I have a lot of dental problems and I feel very lucky to find this clinic. After surgery I was left with a temporary crown, which was a relief! Healing goes very well, considering especially that it is my upper front tooth, I wasn't even swollen. I had a bit of a headache a couple of days after but no pain in my jaw. After 2 weeks I was back on running and exercising. If anyone is anxious about implants, I highly recommend Dr Mittal!

Fantastic experience: Having been referred to a specialist NHS Dentist by my usual dentist for the extraction of my very painful infected wisdom tooth I was informed that it could not be done for over eleven weeks. On contacting Clifton Moor Dental Implant Centre I was seen the next day and my appointment for the extraction was made for the following week. Anne-Marie and Gemma did a very thorough and professional job in extracting the tooth whilst maintaining a high level of patient care throughout. I can highly recommend the practice and the two lovely caring members of the team who treated me.

Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency appointment so I called over a few days just as the lines opened to try nab one, everyone I spoke to on the phones at reception were more than helpful.

Negative experience: Booked an appointment to have a “specialist” have a look at a loose implant, I had fitted in australia, gave all this information even paid upfront for the consultation. I waited 3 weeks for an appointment, had a call 2 hours before the appointment was due, saying the dentist won’t be able to help me after all… missed a days pay and still have a loose implant! Train your reception staff better… maybe even get them to check if it’s something that can be done before wasting someone’s time and money! Thanks for wasting my time and possibly causing more damage to my tooth in the wait time… what a joke! If you are going to spend your money look elsewhere… doesn’t seem like these people have a clue what they are doing!

Fantastic experience: I can't thank Clifton Moor Dental Implant Centre enough and especially Andrew. I had severe toothache and they were able to fit me in for a next day appointment, if I'd been in York it could have been the same day! I was given an x-ray and advised of my treatment options and Andrew was able to fit me back in for an extraction on the same day. Amazing! He even gave me an injection to ease the pain while I waited the two hours for my appointment time. He explained everything and the extraction was over in minutes, no messing and no pain. I am so grateful. Thanks again to Andrew and the team, a first class service.

Fantastic experience: I have had a new upper denture fitted at this practice. The process was fully and clearly explained to me as were the options going forward. The whole event was seamless right from the first taking of impressions to the fitting of the new denture. This required some fine tuning to be a comfortable fit buut was done on the spot.The final product was very well fitted and extremely pleasing. Great looking and with a very natural appearance.Throught the whole process Perminder and the team provided an exemplary and professional service of the highest standard. I am extremely happy with the treatment and service at this Dental Surgery.
