Fantastic experience: Aug '25: Saw Dr Winto Lau with nurse Olivia. Made appointment after chipping multiple teeth in an accident. Appointment included assessment, cleaning, and composite bonding. All completed within single 2 hour appointment. Was made to feel at-ease with procedures, was given explanations and made to feel involved in every part of the process (eg given mirror to inspect options and confirm dentists opinion for colour-matching the tooth repair with existing teeth). Service was thorough and holistic. End result is honestly fantastic looking repairs, very difficult to tell where the original tooth ends and the repair begins, even when looking closely. Nobody would ever know I'd chipped them. Extremely happy with the end result. 5* Nov '24: Changed dentist and recently went for a check up. All staff incredibly friendly (reception, dentist, dental assistant/nurse), felt very comfortable and had a thorough and professional service with Dr Lau. 5*

Fantastic experience: Dr Balveer Boodoo has been my dentist for a few years now. When I needed some fillings replacing the procedure was conducted very skilfully and was completely painless. He has always had the time to discuss my dental queries and I have been really pleased with his thoughtful advice.

Fantastic experience: I was on holidays in Cambridge and unexpectedly had an intense pain onset in a rear tooth. The NHS hotline guided me to the Midsummer Dental practice and I was so glad they did! I was kindly booked into the soonest possible appointment, which was a huge relief (physically and emotionally), and was promptly seen by firstly, Dr Aparna, who not only calmed my slightly frazzled state, but conducted a swift, professional examination and gave an expert diagnoses on my case. I was having such a positive experience of the Clinic, I decided to stay longer (who does this at a dentist??), and requested availability for a teeth clean too. Conveniently, the hygeinist (Remya) had just had a cancellation so I was able to get in and see her for a whirlwind extra-clean session. Im not joking when I tell you this lady is a dental Power-ranger. I was so inspired by her I almost wanted to change vocations. Not only did she clean my teeth in a superior way, but she educated me along the way too, and upgraded my dental tools to take home (a new type of flossing tool, which is really cool). Both professionals ensured I went on my way feeling confident, and secure in my decisions before letting me go. I felt extremely cared for, well managed and confident I was now safe and would be pain-free. The fees (without any UK health cover) was very reasonable. My overall experience of Midsummer Dental exceeded my expectations for a dental clinic, and for sure, surpasses many others! It was helped along so well by the very able and efficient reception team, I worked mainly with Halle, but you have the awareness they are all operating with the same framework, to make sure YOU are going to be ok, and feel reassured about your time there. If I return to Cambridge I will make sure to reserve any dental work until I arrive, and book this Clinic. Walking distance from the centre town of Cambridge. So glad I found you! Fantastic experience: In April, half of one of my back teeth broke off whilst I was on holiday abroad. I got an appointment very quickly on my return. I was treated with great care and consideration by Dr Neha Shah. She is empathetic, has time for her patients and works to find the best solution for tooth problems. I would also like to praise the reception team who are polite and professional in a busy environment.

Fantastic experience: I had a check up visit some time ago then I have been told that I require root canal treatment for one of my tooth and two other had some work required to be done. Everything was done by dr. NIKOLAS and his assistant Chloe. It was like magic. (I’m very afraid of dentists and been very nervous and scared) however their professionalism that they carried out their work. I became so relaxed and confident in them. I will recommend them to everyone. Brilliant work thank you once again

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to this practice for many, many years. They've always been good but, until now, I haven't had to do anything quite as dramatic as happened today, namely, have four, lower-front teeth removed and replaced with a denture. I had complete confidence in my dentist, Dr Balveer Boodoo and his Dental Nurse, Elsie, and they were splendid, kind, attentive, thoughtful and highly professional throughout the whole process. (This is also true of the staff at reception). Anyway, for obvious reasons, I wasn't particularly looking forward to today, but it's been fine, really more than fine! So, a five-star review from me. Thank you to you all.

Fantastic experience: At the moment I am having to use two crutches and the young lady on reception operated the small lift for so I didn't have to struggle with the stairs, I was see on time by the dentist and had a thorough check up, I then went to the reception desk and booked my next appointment and was once again helped with the lift. Very pleased with my visit.

Fantastic experience: I had a filling this week done by Dr Shah. This was my first filling so I was very nervous. Dr Shah was very good at explaining and keeping me calm, I was in absolute no pain or discomfort at all! She is lovely!

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at Midsummer Dental practice for a few years. I recently suffered a weekend of appalling toothache. The whole left side of the face was agony. On Monday morning I phoned and spoke to Halle, a very helpful receptionist. She said she would talk to a dentist and call me back, which she did in less than 10 minutes. I had an appointment that afternoon with Dr Lau and his nurse CJ. The problem was a loose tooth that had become infected. After some discussion about various options, I decided to have the tooth removed which Dr Lau did very efficiently and without pain. I was very impressed with the whole process, as I have always been with my regular dentist Arpana.

Fantastic experience: Reyma, one of the hygenists at Midsummer Dental, is very good and very thorough. She puts you at ease if you are at all nervous and constantly checks that you are not experiencing any pain or problems. She does a great job on keeping any plaque build up in check.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is very helpful and professional. I have just had extensive bridge work following an accident that resulted in facial injuries and teeth damage. My dentist, Aparna, always explains what she is going to do to allay my lifelong fear of the dentist. The treatment was done quickly and all options were explained to me. I wholeheartedly think this is a great dental practice.

Negative experience: I visited for a routine filling and was offered lip fillers - that should have been my sign not to go ahead with the treatment. The staff were lovely and friendly but the dentist was very rushed and missed an area of decay whilst doing the check up that I had to point out to them. They have a hard sell on private treatments and facial fillers and discouraged any treatment on the NHS. Once I had the filling done I realised it was way too large for the tooth. The dentist filed it down slightly and assured me it was just the swelling - it was not. Weeks later and it’s still too large. The filling bridges the gap between the tooth that was treated and the adjacent one. I contacted the practice to get it fixed and was told that I would have to go back to the same dentist - the one who did a bad job in the first place. I requested to see someone else but was told I’d have to pay privately. So I did go privately - to another practice. The dentist was shocked at the poor quality of the work and had to remove it entirely and start again. Overall impression is that they are more of a beauty/aesthetics clinic who will do a good job if you pay privately and want your teeth whitening but not to be trusted with real dentistry

Fantastic experience: I’ve always had a friendly welcome at this surgery and the dentist I have is always welcoming, kind and mindful of my comfort. If asked I will gladly recommend this dental surgery as a good place to have your dental requirements looked after.

Fantastic experience: I visited Midsummer Dental today for a routine check up with Aparna, and Dental nurse Tansy . I used to be terrified of going to the dentist, but Aparna is lovely, so gentle, and always reassures me. Her Dental nurse, Tansy is also very efficient, always having everything ready for any procedures. I also have 2 autistic sons who come with me, and both are equally pleased with how empathetic to their needs that both Aparna and Tansy are with them.

Fantastic experience: Remya is an extremely knowledgable and skilled hygienist. Asked me often if I was ok. She did a beautiful job on my teeth clean, with no pain, unlike many hygienists I’ve been to in the past years.

Fantastic experience: I recently had two appointments at Midsummer Dental to have a broken tooth prepared for a crown, and the crown fitted. I was impressed by Dr Lara Phillips' meticulous work. She and her assistant looked after me really well.

Negative experience: I have been in hospital for days over this dentist and it caused me to go into surgery and days in hospital. I’ve been going here for months and I kept saying I can’t eat and I’m in pain. All I was suppose to get was a filling. This isn’t towards the receptionist as they are so kind but I felt as if I had not been treated well. I almost had sepsis and stopped breathing which I needed a breathing tube an injections all over my body. Please this is not good or professional. The worst days of my life :/

Positive experience: Midsummer is a fabulous dental surgery. I’ve been having regular check ups for years. The practice is friendly, efficient and professional. It’s nice and clean too. The reception team are great as are all the dental experts. I had one unfortunate experience with a temporary hygienist a few years ago, hence 4 and a half stars. However it was a one off and there are so many positives to this dental practice. It is one of the few which still cares for NHS patients and has excellent dentists.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just had a crown fitted on a lower back tooth by Meha Shah and her nurse: a long and uncomfortable procedure requiring three visits and a lot of drilling. What is remarkable about Meha is how careful she is to make sure you are comfortable and not in pain. The crown was very very painful when she first tried it but Meha took endless trouble making small adjustments till it fitted perfectly. Within an hour I had forgotten the crown was there. It’s a perfect job! Thank you Meha.

Fantastic experience: I am so glad to have been accepted as a patient at midsummer dental a couple of years ago, I can’t imagine going anywhere else, so much better than anywhere else I’ve been in my 60 years. They have fitted me in at short notice, they explain everything so well, I don’t feel rushed, it’s clean and light, all the staff are efficient and friendly. Top marks you guys, the best dental surgery ever.

Fantastic experience: Booked an emergency appointment, having broken a molar. Wasn’t expecting the problem to be resolved immediately (previous dentists have always advised the most complex and expensive solution), but Dr Neha Shah examined me, took X-rays, explained the options and completed the chosen one all within 40 minutes. Very impressed with the service and will be changing from my regular dentist to Midsummer from now. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Staff very professional and friendly… but best of all my appointments were painless I spent one hour and forty five minutes in the dentist chair and no pain !!!!!!
