Dr Lucy Walsh is very patient and kind to me and always explains everything to me fully , her and her nurses are excellent , I cannot praise them enough.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Cuckfield Dental Practice by my own practice as I needed restorative dentistry above that which they were able to provide. I became a patient of Agi Tarnowski who has done a very thorough job of providing me with dentures that work. She, and her assistants, have always been cheerful and pleasant to deal with, always taking time to explain all that was going to happen. I have made several visits to the surgery and have always been greeted cheerfully by the receptionists. As I don't have a car I had to travel to Cuckfield by public transport, not easy but definitely worth it.

I was not optimistic that my chipped tooth could be saved. Laura devised a solution and carried out the remedial work very skilfully. Well done Laura and her Assistant.

Fantastic experience: Just had a root canal treatment with Simon and can say that I didn’t feel any pain. Only discovered the problem 8 days before my holiday in Spain and Simon booked me in 4 days later to do the RCT which saved me a lot of anguish ! My family have been going to this dental practice for 20 years and have always received a first class service.

I’ve experienced a range of treatments and have always appreciated the explanations, choices, advice and care. Reception staff have always responded quickly when an urgent appointment has been sought; routinely they are welcoming and efficient.Most recently I have been treated by Hannah and benefitted from her gentle approach and wealth of experience.

Fantastic experience: I have been with this practice for over 10 years. They are so good at looking after you and addressing any concerns you have. Today, 7th July 25 I had Rebecca for my hygienist appt. Teeth have been very sensitive recently, but she relaxed me and caused no sensation throughout the cleaning. So thank you Rebecca.

Negative experience: Used to be a great dentist but over the last few years it has had high staff turnover and now no longer NHS. No letters sent out notifying about changes but luckily found another NHS dentist with spaces for our family.

Fantastic experience: Had a toothache so called saturday morning and to my delight they had a free appt later that morning. Halla was excellent as always and getting that quick appt was outstanding.

Fantastic experience: I switched to this practice recently, and am delighted that I had done so. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, from receptionist, through to hygienists, dental nurses and the dentists themselves. I had complex dental needs following radiotherapy, Simon really put me at ease, and mended a badly cracked tooth. (I had feared that it might be unfixable and have to come out, but not so). My first visit to the hygienist (sorry, I’ve forgotten her name) was also easy, (although I had been dreading it, not having been in for very many years). She was very gentle, put me at ease and gave my teeth a good clean. I’m so happy that I’ve changed to this practice and can highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Been with Cuckfield Dental Practice for 25 yrs and wouldn’t go anywhere else if if I could. From the reception staff to the dentists they are friendly, professional, helpful and so understanding of patients if they are scared of the dentist’s drill. They take their time and help you through the procedure. If you have an emergency issue with a tooth the staff will move heaven and earth to get you in. My thanks, as always to all of the team for continuing to look after me.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start !!! I broke a tooth and was fortunate Simon had a free moment at lunch time to take a look. Well, he explained everything in detail and did a superb repair there and then. He really is the most professional, caring and kindest dentist, he made me feel totally at ease and reassured. I would most definitely recommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I had a hygienist appointment with Rebecca today. I know its irrational for an adult male to be afraid of the dentists, but I am. Rebecca immediately put at ease. Explained what she was going to do, stopped every 2 mins so I could swallow and did not hurt me one bit. She is the best hygienist I have ever had at this practice and I only hope she stays for a long period of time. This was followed by a standard check up with Dr Hannah Jaffe, she also put me at ease, explained what she was doing and gave me some excellent advice about my cleaning regime. She took an X Ray and showed me the results and explained what she was looking for. Both staff members made me feel very comfortable and at ease, and are a credit to the practice.

Fantastic experience: After years of trying to find an NHS dentist I realised I needed to take the private dental route due to an upcoming problem in one of my teeth. I did some research online and found Cuckfield Dental Practice which is local to me and has already got excellent reviews. They 100% live up to these reviews, it really is excellent! From the initial phone call for information to getting my initial check up, then a filling, all done within the space of 2 weeks, absolutely brilliant! They offer plans to help with the cost of treatment but also give plan members a discount too on treatments. The staff on reception are very friendly and helpful, I haven’t had to sit in waiting rooms for ages either like I did at my old dental practice, it’s a very efficient practice they run here! I have visited Laura the dentist twice now, she is very friendly and enthusiastic and very good at what she does. She takes the time with you too, explaining things and keeping you in the know about work being done as she does it. She made the whole experience on both visits comfortable and pleasant. I have had bad experiences elsewhere in the past so it was really welcome to have a good dentistry experience - on both occasions! Dare I say it… I am actually looking forward to the next appointment! I really recommend this practice and suggest, if like me you haven’t had access to the NHS for dentistry, take the jump and join here because they are really great.

Fantastic experience: How can you better brilliant? Simply the best dentist and staff ever! In nearly 70years I have never felt so relaxed, confident of a good outcome and surprised at there excellence in a sea of mediocre and bad dentistry. Other places recommend them when they can't do. Fantastic experience: I have some complex dental issues due to nerve damage in my face. I lost a filling yesterday and the Practice were amazing and fitted me in today. I saw Dr Lucy Walsh this evening and Dr Lucy and her dental nurse were amazing. They treated me with incredible kindness and professionalism. Things were not straightforward but they didn’t rush and I’m very grateful to them both for going the extra mile for me. Which I’m sure they do for everyone. This is a great practice!

Fantastic experience: The staff are always welcoming and efficient. The dental care is first class and the treatment always careful and sympathetic. They are very good at finding solutions which are most appropriate and helpful to the patient - including by reference to their budgets.

Fantastic experience: I took my children to the dentist today for a routine check up and they were brilliant. Dr Hala Al-Rawi was very friendly and made them feel comfortable throughout the appointment. She was also great at explaining what she was doing and how to keep teeth healthy. Fantastic experience: I feel fortunate to have largely had positive experiences from all the dental practises I've signed up to over the years and Cuckfield is no exception. They're a local (walking distance) surgery with a positive and proactive team of receptionists and dental staff. I do feel for the many people I hear complaining of their seemingly incompetent dentists, and always recommend Cuckfield Dental Practice in these circumstances.

Fantastic experience: Firstly I thank Cuckfield Dental Practice enormously and wholeheartedly for the most consistently excellent service, I have been an NHS patient at the practice since Simon Quelch opened the door in the 1990s. I am eternally grateful that Cuckfield Dental Practice is still able to support me as an NHS patient. I have been galvanised into opening a Google account specifically to write this review. In addition to and equally important as the above, I would like to say the hugest of thank yous to Hala Al-Rawi. I have seen Hala as my NHS dentist for some time now and can honestly say she is wonderful. Hala is an excellent and intuitive dentist with the utmost professionalism, coupled with a completely natural and caring manner, an invaluable skill in dentistry. I’d be so grateful if you would please ensure Hala receives the praise she very much deserves. Most of us don’t count the dentist as something to look forward to, however I’m looking forward confidently to seeing Hala for my check up in the summer. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t ask for more. Hannah and Charlie have been exemplary. I had a gap over Covid and my dentist leaving his practice which left me with slight apprehension about returning to a dentist. I’ve started a monthly care plan and Hannah keeps me in check - even to check if my ulcer had finally subsided during a late evening call to me at Christmas. She fitted me in for an emergency appt post tooth extraction today and couldn’t be more caring. Receptionists are also worth mentioning. They switched things around to fit me in today and are always warm and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental practice I have ever been to. They were really flexible at fitting me in on the same day that I had toothache. The dentist Hannah and dental nurse Nicola were excellent - kind and skilful, they gave me treatment with no pain or discomfort at all.

Fantastic experience: I went in today for an emergency appointment. Normally, I hate a dentist appointment but I honestly could not find a single fault with Cuckfield Dental Practise. The receptionists were lovely. I was with Laura (the dentist) and Lou today and they were fantastic. Laura did a great job fixing my tooth and was really patient with me. Usually, I have trouble when doing an x-ray but Laura worked with me to get it done. The quickest x-ray I've managed to have. Lou was lovely and reassuring. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been with this practice for a number of years and have always had excellent treatment and service. Recently my husband who was at a different practice had tooth ache, his dentist took X-rays and sent him home with pain. Gradually the pain got worse and he had an emergency appointment with Simon. It transpired that he had decaying root nerves and required a root canal filling. Happy to say he is now pain free and now has registered with the practice. Simon is a highly experienced and diligent dentist who is a credit to the dental profession.

I emailed in about an emergency appointment late at night and got seen the next day at 9am. The receptionists are very kind and understanding. Dentists are also really nice. Fantastic experience: I have just had fairly complicated root canal treatment carried out by Helena. I just wanted to say she did a really good job! I’ve never had anything more complicated than a filling previously, so this was a whole new experience. She was very careful and professional (ably supported by her dental assistant) and has saved my tooth. A bit uncomfortable, yes, but no pain! Well done!

Fantastic experience: We have had such a wonderful experience over the past 2 years correcting my daughter’s overcrowded teeth. The team at Cuckfield dental practice are always cheerful, helpful and welcoming. We always leave with a huge smile on our faces. We had an appointment yesterday to fix a small chip that my daughter had on her front tooth, and the skill, knowledge and helpfulness of our dentist Laura & her nurse Emily were faultless. Their work is excellent, and they should be recognised for this, they put a huge smile back on my daughter’s face, and you wouldn’t know that she even chipped it. Thank you we are so grateful. Fantastic experience: I took my 5year old daughter along just before the May Half Term for a check up, she was due to see Rebecca but ended up seeing Hala who was absolutely wonderful with her and my daughter can’t wait to see her again. Fast forward just over a week and I went for my check up. I deliberately booked my appointment during term time as I am a nervous patient after a bad experience when I was a young child my self and didn’t want my daughter to pick up on it. I saw Hala and again, she was great! She helped put me at ease and did a thorough check up for me, gave me some pointers and I left feeling much more confident than when I went in and I’ll be returning in approximately 6 months, with hopefully much less anxiety. Thank you Hala!

Sometimes worth having toothache just to attend. 31/01/24 : Again I have to thank all the staff . Just Brilliant . Ruth and Georgia are just the perfect team . So calm and caring .I always feel I am in safe hand with both of them . Reception team are so good . 11/05/2024: How can I fault any of the team ; it is such a shame that the practice is losing Ruth .Such a superb dentist and a lovely caring person . I have been with this practice for over 30 years .In that time I have had some brilliant dentists ( Hiten , Will etc) but also had some bad experiences . I am not sure I will be staying with the practice after Ruth has left . Once you have found some you can trust and like it is a bit frightening to be thrown back into the lottery of the practice merry go round again .

Fantastic experience: My daughter (age 3) went along the kids club and they were fantastic with her in what can be a very daunting setting. The dental nurse (Jan, if I remember correctly) was very informative and made her feel at ease. She went above and beyond and got a dentist to come and have a look at a front tooth that has taken some trauma from a fall; she was also wonderful with her and put us at ease with our concern.
