Old Mill Dental Surgery

Fantastic experience: A year ago, I began my implant journey at Old Mill Dental Surgery after losing two teeth—one from my smile and a premolar. During my initial consultation with Edmund, we discovered that my front teeth had shifted significantly and would need to be straightened before proceeding. I was then introduced to Kulod, who guided me through a course of 14 aligners. By the end of the treatment, my front teeth were perfectly aligned—just as they were over 40 years ago. Following this, Edmund carefully placed two implants along with bone grafts. After allowing time for proper healing, I was scanned for my new crowns. The final results are truly outstanding. Throughout the entire process, everyone at Old Mill Dental Surgery has been exceptionally professional, caring, and supportive. I would like to mention a few individuals in particular: Lee at reception, who is always polite and welcoming; Vicky, the dental nurse, who was ever attentive and ready with the suction; and of course, Edmund and Kulod, whose expertise and attention to detail delivered such fantastic results.

Fantastic experience: I have had some really bad experiences with dentists in the past so a visit to have anything done to my teeth is not a favourite sport of mine. In fact, I view any appointment with dread and horror. Having just moved into the area and lost a crown I made an appointment with Old Mill Dental Surgery. Sam did a root canal, made a new post, fitted a temporary crown and took impressions for a permanent. He was reassuring, professional, the whole process was completely painless and I am not in the least worried about going to my next visit. BIG result. Thank you Sam.

Fantastic experience: I had my usual 6 monthly hygenist and dental check up yesterday. I will be totally honest here and say that I have a morbid fear of anything connected with dentistry but I was thoroughly impressed with the way that the appointments went yesterday. They were extremely professional and I do feel that they understand my anxiety and do everything possible to put me at ease. If you are looking for a dentist/hygenist in my opinion you should give them a try.

Negative experience: It has taken me 2 years to pluck up the courage to visit a dentist again after this one burnt my lip whilst doing the hygiene clean. It wasn't the hygienist who did this, but one of the dentists. They were very dismissive and when I complained the person investigating the complaint turned out to be the husband of the dentist who treated me.

It's a very attractive surgery with some parking available. All staff very kind and helpful. Dentist did very thorough check up and I'm very happy with the outcome. Fantastic experience: Over the last few years, as my misspent youth catches up with me (a very sweet tooth then), I have had a number of visits to Old Mill Dental surgery. As well as Kulod who normally looks after me, and Edmund for implants, for emergency appointments I have seen Margaret, Jenya and Sam. All of them, and their nursing and hygienist team (Laura, Anji, Kelly, Lisa, etc) are friendly, kind, empathetic, skilful and professional. The receptionists are also particularly welcoming and helpful. As a nervous patient I particularly like the effort made to put me at my ease. Having had a need for emergency treatment on a number of occasions they have always managed to respond quickly when needed. I should also mention that the surgery has the latest equipment and everywhere is spotlessly clean. One other thing that makes the surgery stand out is the ambience - care has been taken to assemble a team who get on with each other and enjoy their work - it’s a ‘happy ship’!

Fantastic experience: Who knew what a new patient appointment at Old Mill would bring... Whilst assessing my dental needs, Jenya casually asked about my Orthodentic history, of which there was none! I have been self-conscious regarding my wonky teeth for most of my adult life (and I'm approaching 60!), but previous attempts to address this had been futile. Jenya carefully explained what could be done, and offered warm and authentic encouragement, and I left the surgery with optimism and hope about the future. Sounding OTT? Maybe...but for me, this will be truly life-changing. From the warm welcome I received when I first enquired about joining the practice, to meeting Jenya and Kelly today, I can truly say I've landed on my feet here. Thank you all. July 2025 So, here is the update... The work is complete, and what can I say??? The results are better than I could ever have hoped for. When I 'smiled for the camera' it was the first full smile, expressed with confidence, in over 40yrs! Jenya and Kelly are just exceptional, and such a brilliant double-act. I had come to really look forward to seeing them every other week, because the enthusiasm and encouragement about progress was infectious...and that extended to the fabulous team on Reception as well. The only reason I didn't do this years ago is because I had been dismissed by other dental professionals when I'd sought to discuss what could be done. Jenya, on the other hand, was tenacious and confidence-boosting. Thank you all. I will be forever grateful.
