Fantastic experience: Had an appointment today with hygienist Alex Mora..Made very welcome and superb treatment again.. Would most definitely recommend this practice..A top class establishment in every way....and also had an appointment with Richard Mears..and everything the same as above... Also I would like to mention the very helpful ladies in reception..

Fantastic experience: Karim has been my dentist for many years and I was glad when he decided to open up his own practice at Combe Road Dental. The rest of my family are now patients and he's been really great with my 2 yr old girl and getting her comfortable with having her teeth checked, he even put on the TV for her and made some fun glove balloons. Karim and his team offer a very friendly, relaxed and professional service, we wouldn't go anywhere else, I highly recommend especially if you're a bit nervous as Karim has a very special way of making you feel relaxed.

Fantastic experience: I visited this practice with a very loose front lower tooth, the dentist looked at it and initially tried to get me to remove without injection but I could not do it. He then injected and removed the tooth, he was extremely understanding and carried out whole procedure painlessly. Thanks .

Fantastic experience: I had my new patient appointment today (21/8/23) with Richard. First impressions: very pleased. I arrived and the receptionist whom I conversed with was very friendly. I was never a nervous patient but became a little apprehensive a few years back when a treatment I had at another clinic - through no fault of my own - went wrong. Richard explained everything in detail as he went along - my general oral health and x-rays - which put me at ease. Fantastic experience: I’ve wanted a natural white smile for some time and after having a full consultation with Karim and a discussion over the best approach I went for it. The whole experience was great, seeing the gradual improvements as works progressed. I am over the moon with the end result, having straight, naturally white teeth that I’m proud to show off; no Turkey teeth here!! Thank you Karim and all at Combe Road for being so efficient and making each visit a pleasant one. Fantastic result and surprisingly pretty reasonable in terms of cost too.

Negative experience: Horrific experience as a new patient to the practice. I had the misfortune of seeing Dr Karim Abdel Khalek. From the minute I entered the room I was interrigated and belittled. Everything i said he had a smug attitude and a cutting answer to everything i said. I felt completely ripped apart. It felt like a police interrogation. I had to leave in a flood of tears. No dentist should treat a patient in that manner. Disgusting behaviour and in no way professional. I had a fantastic dentist in Edinburgh but had to leave due to relocation. I can't fault the receptionist who was very kind. I'm sure this practice would be far more successful if they got rid of this dentist with zero people skills

Fantastic experience: Was suffering badly over the weekend and got an appointment next day Had to have a tooth pulled, but this was done with real care and attention to detail. Everything was explained in a clear and understanding way. When it came to the injections it was done carefully and the tooth extracted forcibly but gently. I was really happy with the way it was all handled and Richard and the team were absolutely brilliant

All the staff are lovely and make you feel so welcome, the surgery is spotlessly clean and provides a lovely environment. I found Combe Road Dental last year through a friend and have now had some work done myself in the last few weeks. Karim has been amazing with his knowledge & expertise while structuring my expectations on what he can and can’t do for me and keeping within budgets. He works so effortlessly but with such precision and skill and delivers the most natural but stunning results. I’m over the moon with my first treatment and actually can’t wait to get the rest of the work done. Having confidence in your smile is so important and Karim helps you achieve that with complete peace of mind in the work he does. Thank you so much to the whole team. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: They are more concerned with making money than with the work of dentistry. Rubbish work at extortionately high prices. £72 for an examination that didn't even last ten minutes. And half of which was spent on a computer. Typing up a ridiculous quote for the work that needs to be carried out. They need to change the name to Combe Road Mint. Because that's all they're interested in. Is printing money. Unless you have money to waste, I suggest you avoid this place like the plague.

Positive experience: I’ve been coming here for many years, throughout the change of ownership a number of times. The most recent owners / operators have invested in a lot of very modern equipment and facilities have improved markedly. Therefore the quality of the treatment given is very good indeed, but the costs of treatment has increased substantially also. It is therefore expensive and even for those with dental insurance the charges require me to pay IVR and above what instance will cover. So, summary, very good and very expensive.

Having been on an NHS waiting list for considerable time and an anxious patient I decided to go private. I have ‘struck gold’ with Coombe Road Dental. Dr Karim ,Jane and the reception team have made me feel very welcome. Karim is an extremely skilled dentist, a perfectionist ( just like me!) and a lovely person. I feel in very safe hands undergoing treatment which is of the highest quality. The whole team are friendly and professional and I would recommend to anyone looking for first class dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: I was a very nervous (and annoying!) patient who hadn't been to the dentist for over 7 years and had more questions than you could squeeze into one appointment. Karim and Jane were very patient and took extra good care of me. I've just completed my Invisalign treatment after initially signing up earlier this year, and the difference is spectacular after just 6 months. Smiling is my new favourite thing to do.

Fantastic experience: One of the friendliest dental surgeries you will find. From my childhood/ teenage years, I was afraid of the dentist but the staff here are incredibly re assuring and attentive to your needs and have made going to the dentist that little bit less scary. There is no pushy sales tactics for you to have any cosmetics but the options are there and easy to discuss should you want anything or feel it’s needed. Going private was something I’ve never done before but it honestly pays for itself in the care and attention given to you. I’ve personally had composite bonding on my two front teeth (after years of grinding I was left with an inverse smile) and also whitening, both of which have completely transformed my smile into something I am now proud to show off. Karim is my dentist and he’s created such a clean, comfortable and friendly dental practice and team. Carly is my hygienist and she is super lovely and warm, as are all of the nurses working there and the front desk staff. Can’t thank them all enough for the journey I’ve been on with them so far and I will continue to be a loyal customer for years to come.
