Fantastic experience: From my very first visit to Dr Patel he immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. He made sure I understood exactly what he was doing in each stage of my treatment which made everything seem a lot less daunting! I got my fixed braces removed in 2010 after only a short 10 months to get my teeth perfect. Dr Patel then fitted a fixed retainer hidden behind my teeth and 15 years later this retainer is still exactly as it was how when he fitted it, my teeth have not moved at all! I couldn’t recommend Dr Patel and his team enough!

Fantastic experience: I was referred by a friend to take my daughter to Evolution Orthodontics and have been nothing short of amazed at the professionalism and service that has been provided not to mention how overjoyed we are at the outcome of my daughter’s teeth. She had a particularly crowded mouth and was most conscious about her teeth but after just 12/18 months of visiting Mr Patel, she has finally reached the end of her orthodontic work and it’s hard to believe the transformation. INCREDIBLE!! I would not hesitate to recommend this practise to anyone who is thinking about undergoing any orthodontic work. Fantastic experience: I originally visited Dr Patel in 2017 to straighten my teeth, something I was wanting to do for a long time but was worried about the cost as an adult but going to Evolution was the best decision I ever made!! I was always self conscious of my bent teeth and worried about my receding gums on my lower teeth. Dr Patel exceeded all my expectations and not only made my teeth better cosmetically but also the health of them has improved too. I now feel so confident when I smile and I'm like a different person. Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience with Dr. Patel and staff. I attended the clinic after a recommendation and was glad I did. Dr. Patel explained the cause of my issue and steps to help fix it. Every step was outlined and recorded in detail which meant I was engaged with my treatment. He even offered to start me off with a cheaper alternative to see if that could help. At the end of the treatment, I no longer suffer from the dental issues that led me to his clinic and my teeth, arch and positioning are that much healthier for it.

Fantastic experience: Have known this dentist from when my 2 teenage children had their braces here. Now adults and their teeth are perfect . So this was my first choice for my braces after years and years of not being happy with my teeth. Dr Patel is very informative and very understanding and puts you at ease with the treatment plan. I was actually a patient here almost 10 years ago and I decided to revisit due to their high quality of care. Fantastic experience: I have had treatment for cosmetically straightening my teeth with Mr Patel for the last 7 months. I saw him around monthly visits where he carefully adjusted the braces to correct my teeth in the fastest way he could. Each visit was relaxed and enjoyable. Fantastic experience: Dr Patel made getting braces later in life a breeze . My appointments were on time and thorough . Despite my initial reservation about braces , after the process was explained and examples shown of the possible progress I was very happy to proceed with the corrective treatment . Initially the braces took some getting use to but I have been so pleased with the results that it really was worth it and I now have a lovely smile again . I highly reccomend Dr Patel , he is excellent at his job and I can see that he has a wealth of experience . Not only this he took the time to get to know me as a person and ask about my interests and my family . I know this was to put me at ease and reassure me and prepare me for the treatment but I really appreciated it . I now have lovely straight teeth and every interaction with the practice was a pleasure . The receptionists are all so lovely and actually new my first name and took the time to reschedule any appointments I could not attend . The actual practice premises are amazing , I loved the paintings done by mr Patel and the black and white pics . Fantastic experience: I came to Evolution orthodontists aged 13 having already been discharged once from braces treatment (NHS). Dr Patel and his team have been unbelievable in fixing my teeth as quickly as possible. At the start, the braces were quite painful and eating and cleaning the teeth was fairly difficult. However, I slowly got used to it and through the guidance of Dr Patel, the treatment only took 13 months. He has a kind attitude towards the patient and is great at explaining what exactly each procedure will lead to. The treatment has overall been an excellent experience and I highly recommend Evolution Orthodontists.

Fantastic experience: Over the years that I have been attending First Impressions, Dr Patel has always informed me on the progress on my teeth and explained in detail the different techniques to clean my teeth. And if he was not happy on the way I was cleaning my teeth he would always give me positive advice on how to clean my braces hygienically. It's a very clean and welcoming environment, including the bathroom, the staff members are also very friendly. Walking in for each appointment soothed me because of the calming music.

Fantastic experience: Since I was younger I never liked going to get my teeth checked because I found it very awkward and scary but going to first impressions really change my perspective on that. I waited a while to be able to go there and to be honest it was worth the wait the actual place is amazing and very euphoric, the staff are extremely nice, friendly and professional. Before I started going to first impressions my gum health was extremely bad so much so that when Dr Patel would brush it my whole mouth would fill with blood from my gums but since then he has shown me the proper way to brush them and I’ve seen a drastic change in my gum health. The first stage of my treatment was getting retainers although they were very big and I was having a lot of trouble with them they did the job and through that Dr Patel was very supportive and never gave up on me which I am grateful for. During the process of getting my braces fitted Dr Patel would ask me if it was okay and if anything hurt because I was really nervous. The thing I like the most is that they work efficiently and quickly and they do a great job the total time my braces took to fit was around 30 min which is very impressive. Over all I am very pleased with how my treatment is going and I know Dr Patel will give me the perfect smile I’ve been waiting for. So if you are looking to get a perfect smile too, First Impressions is the place to go !

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Evolution formally known as First Impression when I was 14. I had a slight gapping at the front of my top teeth and it was suggested from my dentist that I had a brace fitted. Mr Patel suggested I also had a bottom brace to help align my jaw. And so I did, wow what a difference did it make, something I wasn’t even aware of before stood out so clearly, I am so glad I listened, my future self is certainly thankful. After my braces were removed a short 11 months later I opted for the fixed retainer to be fitted. Fast forward 15 years later, and I’m back. I suspected my retainer had broke and a trip the dentist confirmed this. In 15 years I’ve not had any issues with my retainer so was keen to be seen asap to get this resolved. I remember being told there was no guarantee how long these would last it depends on the care you take amongst other things. 15 years later and one break I make that a success. I left the same day with my retainer having been fixed. We discussed some other concerns with my teeth including teeth clenching which I’d discussed with my dentist prior, and had been recommended and SCI. Mr Patel explained how I could have this included in my removable retainers, for me this worked perfectly. So he took the moulds for my new retainers. I cannot fault the service and expertise, he really knows his stuff and puts you at ease. I’d highly recommend.

I came to see Dr Patel for a second opinion/further orthodontic treatment, after I had a poor outcome and experience with Invisalign treatment while under the care of a different orthodontist at another practice. He has vast knowledge, experience and exceptional skills for sure, but the passion and interest in his career, in my opinion, is what makes him stand out as a great orthodontist. What stood out to me the most, was how Dr Patel listened to what I wanted, what my desired outcome was and how detailed his orthodontic report was. I really appreciate the time he took to answer my questions and go through the orthodontic report with me. It prepared me for the process and managed my expectations. I felt reassured that I was in the right hands this time and knew that Dr Patel is the orthodontist I trust for my remedial treatment. I greatly appreciate how Dr Patel educated me on looking after my gums and demonstrating how to clean the teeth. That may seem like common sense but in all my life, I have never been told this. I felt like he genuinely cares about his patients and takes that extra time to give those helpful tips. I have to say the quality and application of his fixed retainer is on another level! I can barely feel it and I can tell the difference in stability in my teeth, which was definitely not the case with my previous fixed retainers by a different orthodontist. Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing orthodontic clinic. Took me from feeling self-conscious every time I opened my mouth to talk, laugh, or eat/drink something to feeling empowered instead. My teeth were initially severely crowded on the bottom jaw and very narrow and crooked on the top. Dr Patel had me fitted with an expander and turbo bites to get my molars/back teeth to even out and the top teeth to appear wider. I had one extraction on the lower teeth to make room for alignment (due to the crowding). Everything was done so expertly! I'd highly recommend booking an appointment here. Dr Patel is fantastic and a glowing asset and ambassador to the art of orthodontistry.

Fantastic experience: At the time of my treatment is was in my late 40s and had been bothered by my front teeth which had been crooked for most of my adult life. They had become more noticeable to me so I decided to do something about it. I made an appointment with Dr Patel who recommended treatment to the upper jaw and front 6 teeth. He shaped them and used a brace to bring my teeth into line within 7 months. I wish I had done it earlier! I would recommend Dr Patel and his team for a sensitive effective approach to treatment. Fantastic experience: I first came to Evolution Orthodontics, or First Impressions as it was formerly known just over ten years ago, at the recommendation of my dentist. Upon my arrival I remember the waiting room/reception was a refreshing contrast from what I had come to expect from medical practises. Treatment can sometimes seem like a daunting prospect in cold clinical settings but that was not the case at Evolution Orthodontics. The walls were adorned with tributes/letters from patients past and present detailing their own experience's which I found reassuring. Paintings that would not look out of place on display at a professional artist's gallery, were also decorating the walls, painted by Dr Patel himself. There was also music playing, adding to the relaxed ambience of the place. My first impression's were indeed, positive. My teeth were, in my view, far from satisfactory and I wasn't sure how beneficial treatment would be. In the following years I underwent a complete transformation from teeth that were frankly, all over the place, to completely straight teeth. More than just straight teeth I would emphasise that this treatment gave me so much more in the form of confidence and self-belief. I now work as a High Court Judges' Clerk and pay tribute to Dr Patel's work in giving me the confidence to go for such a role. After my teeth straightening was complete, treatment moved on to maintenance. This is the stage in which I learned that I have a tendency to grind my teeth when sleeping which can wear them down after time, something that was not recognised by my dentist. Dr Patel recognised this and had a bespoke retainer made for me to wear at night to keep my teeth in place and protect them when sleeping. A few months into my treatment, I told Mr Patel that I was a musician and was delighted to be invited back for a photoshoot with my guitar. He provided me with professional pictures that I am both very pleased with and pleasantly surprised as this was certainly not something I expected from orthodontic treatment. In summary, I really cannot recommend Evolution Orthodontics enough for truly professional work by a truly remarkable man. Investing in your own teeth through treatment can be, as it was for myself, a completely transformative experience and if you require it you needn't look further than Evolution Orthodontics. A couple of weeks ago it had appeared that my bonded retainer had broken ;however, I did not book an appointment until I saw drastic change in my front tooth. I quickly called up the reception and they were able to give me an appointment straight away within the week (which I found very helpful as many orthodontics can take up to weeks to give a slot) to solve my problem. The aftercare that the orthodontics provide is amazing as many other places might not put in so much care after the braces have been taken off. Dr Patel was able to shift my teeth (in only a few minutes) by providing pressure to the tooth and moving it back into the original formation (after I got the braces taken off) then he fixed my retainer to prevent any more movement. He had indeed saved me from getting braces put back on or spending hundreds of pounds to get them fixed elsewhere.

After so many months of having my braces off, I actually still smile to myself in the mirror because I cannot believe the difference Dr Patel has made to my confidence the overall look of my smile. Fantastic experience: My daughter recently finished her treatment at this practice. From the start you could tell how professional the staff were in particular dr patel. My daughter was extremely apprehensive going to any dentist as she simply did not feel happy with showing anyone her teeth. As my daughters treatment commenced, you could see the change in her attitude, confidence and, her smile change from a 'cover up with hands' - to a toothy grin. She is more happier not only at home but is more open and talkative at school and participates so much more in groups. This is all down to having treatment at this orthodontist practice. Fantastic experience: I had treatment with Dr. Patel 14 years ago and I have just been for an 18 month check up. My teeth were sticking out and I had a brace which was quite large - but I got used to it. I was a confident person but the change to my teeth and jaw were so profound and I felt so confident that anything was possible. Particularly so in this period when most of work is by zoom calls. I have to say the impact on my life has been dramatic. Dr. Patel’s skilful treatment and regular advice is priceless. It seemed at outset that the optimum result might not have been achievable due to certain constraints. However, Dr. Patel was able to give me the best result and beyond my expectations. The quality of the team’s care is second to none and his team really well looked after and my concerns and apprehensions when I was young. Any minor discomfort was almost completely unnoticed. My fixed retainers have been in place for 12+ years without any issues and no breakages. I would recommend Dr. Patel with my greatest conviction.

Negative experience: I had my braces fitted by Mr patel in 2012. The initial concsultation was great, very caring, took time to explain everything, and there was no pressure. Then things progressively went downhill. Each appointment was over an hour late. Oh one occasion i had to return to my car 3 times to the parking meter. It was clearly evident that he had taken on FAR too many clients. Each appointment was extremely rushed and slap dash, the height of this was when actually removing my brace and to achieve a good bite he would grind a small amount of tooth away from my canines. This was done so quickly and with such disregard i felt disgusted. The permanment retainer came off in a week. ( i went to a different orthodontist and this retainer has only this year came off 9 years later). Throughout the process, i said i would conceed if the results were good, i could pass the poor practice and malcare. But atlas, the results were not great. There was also a situiaton where they had a studnet dental nurse, and the way she was treated was horrible boardline abusive. And the speed at which she was encouraged to work was not safe. If i had been older, i would have made a formal complaint to the relevant registry body. Edit: Mr Patel now wants to change the definition of a review as he doesn't like mine.

Fantastic experience: I had recently completed my braces treatment with Jay Patel. I felt scared of going to the dentist at first but i was at ease with Jay Patel and his time. I can't believe the amazing results that have been achieved in just over a year and i can't thank Dr Patel enough. I can finally smile with confidence. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Best orthodontist around. Really nice people in there very respectful. The orthodontist I had treated me very well. Before my teeth were absolutely horrible now I can smile and have a laugh with a nice new smile. Retainers were fitted perfectly for permanent it was the same.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed treatment with Dr Patel at Evolution Orthodontics, having been self-conscious of my crooked teeth to the extent I would only smile with my mouth closed I decided rather late (in my 50's) to see what could be achieved. Thanks to the skill and knowledge of Dr Patel I have my smile back. My whole experience was an extremely positive one, Mr Patel excels in his field and is a true perfectionist, he was honest with me about my expectations and the results are better than i hoped for. The whole practice from the Reception Staff who are also knowledgeable, extremely polite and helpful to the nurses and Dr Patel were welcoming and professional.

Negative experience: MONEY HUNGRY!!! This practice charges ridiculous and extortionate fees even for the simplest of treatments that take less than a year. £4000 for treatment and don’t forget the hidden cost of £355 x2 = almost £1k for retainers that should have been included in the cost of the treatment!!! Even if you finish your treatment early they expect you to pay the full amount still, I practically had to beg for a discount. Not happy.

Fantastic experience: I cannot fault the treatment I have received from Dr Patel. I have been a patient with Evolution Orthodontics for around 5 years now with my braces being on for 3 years! It has been a long journey but at no fault of the practice but instead waiting for operations in the NHS. Dr. Patel was extremely experienced and listened to my concerns and goals from the first appointment, working with me to get the best possible outcome. My teeth were super bad before the treatment but now they are absolutely perfect! I didn't even expect them to look this good! Fantastic experience: Very professional work and a lovey staff

Negative experience: I'm really disappointed with my treatment. My front teeth were straightened but at the cost of back teeth. I cannot close my jaw properly and it hurts when close for longer time. There is a big effort to eat anything. Upper and lower teeth grind or rub each other while eating. In short, upper jaw dows not sit properly on lower jaw which causes grinding, rubbing and clenching. I paid a lot of money but still referred to Smile Design by Ash who charged additionally but the problem did not resolve.

Negative experience: My brother is going to this orthodontist and his dentist is called Jay if I remember and the amount of times we have been to to spend money on such unencessity and I do not want him to go to here but my dad is willing to spend money on him. My little sister went to another orthodontist and so did I and I didn’t need to pay for stuff such as cleaning my teeth and paying so £15 for a toothbrush with wax and the tablets. I think this orthodontist is money hungry and thankfully my brothers treatment is nearly finished because I am not recommending anyone to here nor my little siblings. I will make sure they do not come to this place. As well as you have to wait for a year for this place to get treatment. It’s not professional at all as my younger brother is only 16 and he needs to pay for these stuff even though he is below 18 years old.
