Negative experience: Getting beyond fed up with the service from this dental practice!! Being cambridge town centre, traffic and parking is shocking and expensive. Almost every time i arrive im left waiting atleast 15 mins, having to extend my parking sessions and potentially risk parking tickets as can only extend a certain amount of times! Then the one time im 15 mins late the dentist refuses to see me. So its ok for them to keep me waiting 15 to 25 mins but when im late they refuse to see me! No consideration of parking costs, fuel and theyre constant terrible time keeping previously! Also seem to get more problems with my teeth each time i visit!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shilan Rostamian is an excellent family dentist focused on dental health. Highly recommended. Note: Dr. Rostamuan has moved (as of July 2025) to the dental practice in Newnham.

Negative experience: Can’t remember the last time I booked an appointment for myself or my children when it wasn’t cancelled by the dental practice shortly before the appointment.

Positive experience: Had a scale done by a temporary dentist and it was so painful I had to stop a couple of times and my gums are still sore& I still cant brush my teeth properly 2 days later

I’m a nervous patient usually but she made me feel calm and her work looks so great! The Nurse Eilish helping her was also very attentive and they both so professional .

Negative experience: WARNING: Predatory Pricing and False Quotes** I urgently advise anyone considering this practice to **STAY AWAY**. My experience was shockingly dishonest. During a phone consultation, I was quoted **£55 total for an appointment** (with a £20 deposit) and told the extraction itself would cost **£240**. However, after the appointment, I was blindsided with a bill of **£1,400–£1,500**, with no prior warning or justification for the drastic increase. This is not a simple misunderstanding—it’s predatory behavior. They mislead patients with lowball quotes, then exploit vulnerable people in pain. Practices like this erode trust in dental care and deserve scrutiny. **Do not risk being scammed.** Seek transparent, ethical care elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: My experiennce with Trumpington Street Dentistry and in particular, Dr. Mirza and her dental technician has been absolutely outstanding! Their attention to detail, kindness, and genuine care make every visit a reassuring experience. They are true perfectionists who take the time to ensure everything is done to the highest standards all while making you feel completely at ease. As someone who was previously an incredibly nervous patient, I have been totally transformed thanks to their patience and expertise. I never imagined feeling this comfortable at the dentist, and I am beyond grateful for the care I have received. My treatment (an onlay as recommended by Dr Mirza over a crown aa a conservative approach) looks so completely natural! I am smiling confidently - so glad that I came here. Dr Mirza also answered many questions about options along the way - very informative and understanding. Everyone at the practice provided excellent care and service. I can’t thank them enough!

Negative experience: Terrible place, just been miss diagnosed with a root canal tooth infection. All they had to offer is more antibiotics 2 week's on antibiotics 2 different one's and still infection not gone completely. When questioned my dentist why she is not doing a root canal treatment her manager kicked me out of the practice. A complete carelessness and no duty of care. I will be pressing legal charges. That's how they treat NHS patients! Initially first emergency appointment at the sister practice that meant to get me out of pain did nothing for me. Been send home in extreme pain with antibiotics. Went back to Trumpington street to complain the practice manager told me to go home in pain and start taking antibiotics. At night time have developed high temp of 39.5C and next day swollen face. Phoned next day to report a change been told to keep taking antibiotics. 2 months ago this dentist has warned me that this tooth can give me problem's in the future as tooth filling is very close to the nerve. And she told me if this happens then I would need to have a root canal treatment. Right now I'm at home awaiting privet dental appointment on the 6th of November. Can't walk normally as my tooth is pulsating inside with every heart beat. Antibiotics have lowered my severe tooth pain and lowered my swollen face which totally indicates a tooth infection but not for these cowboys. In addition I was accused of touching, grabbing my dentist finger while she is touching my face to use her ginger to point it where the infection is. Total joke this is. That's how they treat a very sick person suffering from pulmonary hypertension on oxygen 24/7..... My condition has worsened because of there carelessness. I'm will be definitely taking legal action against them.

Fantastic experience: My appointment at Trumpington Street Dentistry was the first since lockdown. I was experiencing some new symptoms that I wanted to be checked as they were causing me concern. The receptionists were very helpful, the dental nurse very welcoming and friendly. Dr Sunah Mirza, the dentist I saw, was wonderful! She took time with taking my history, really listened to what I was saying, and was very thorough in her examination of my teeth, gums and jaw. She told me what she would do next regarding referrals, and suggested some things to help keep my teeth and gums cleaner. All the staff were very kind and friendly, and I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Mirza and Trumpington Street Dentistry to anyone looking for a dentist in Cambridge.

Without her careful thought and explanation of a treatment plan, I would have had the tooth removed after a failed root canal attempt at Cambridge Dental Hub. Thanks to Sunah's efforts, I was able to make an informed decision on a treatment plan to restore the tooth.

I have lost a crown at the front of my teeth and she twice called me in response to my questions by email, to answer my questions and help me fully understand my options. She also arranged for a denture to be made swiftly and arranged for my notes from my old Antwerp House practice to be moved across to my new records. I highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: Today I had a tooth extracted by Dr Shilan Rostamian who was supported by Nurse Joy Rookey. The tooth had been causing me a lot of trouble of the past year as it got frequently infected. Although I am not normally worried about dental procedures, I was very anxious about the tooth extraction, particularly as my tooth had fractured into two parts. Dr Rostamian and her team did an amazing job explaining the procedure in sufficient detail (without going into too much detail which would have fulled my anxiety). The actual procedure turned out not to be painful at all and Dr Rostamian removed the tooth in less than 5 minutes time. I was incredibly impressed with her skills both technical as well as with regards to her communication and empathy for a worried patient. I can highly recommend this team to any patient who requires dental care.

Fantastic experience: Shilan Rostamanian is a highly skilled, very lovely and thoughtful dentist. She has looked after my teeth for some years now. She always explains carefully what the available treatment options are, what they cost, and the pros and cons of each. She has never given me a moment’s pain, despite undertaking some fairly challenging dental work. Shilan’s nurse, Joy Rookes, works in an effective and cheerful partnership. I cannot imagine ever going elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: I was a first time patient at this clinic and I had a very great private check up and hygiene experience with Dr. Joyce Wang. She was very thorough during the examination and explained everything in details. I will be sending more family members to her. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Overall 10/10 experience.

Fantastic experience: From registration right up till the treatment and payment, everything went smoothly. Nadiah, the nurse, was super friendly and accommodating. For someone who was in pain at the time, that was very comforting. I was attended to by Dr Sunah Mirza who explained everything clearly. I had a wisdom tooth extraction and I wasn’t in any severe discomfort throughout the entire procedure she did. She was very comforting through it all. As a student who came alone, this was very reassuring! The cost is fairly standard for a private capacity so I can’t complain even though, as a student, it is quite costly even to do regular check-ups. The NHS capacity (lower price) is limited and has a waiting list but worth asking I suppose.

I’m one of those people who tries to show ‘i’m fine with it’ but her empathy was such that she reassured me and explained what needed to be done and why. So on Tuesday out came a tooth and might i say that i felt absolutely nothing except, of course, the necessary painless pressure to get that nasty root out! Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Sunah Mirza last week. I needed a filing but I was really scared because I hate needles. But she was so empathetic and caring and was able to calm my nerves. She has a very soft touch and the treatment did not feel rushed or aggressive unlike previous experiences I’ve had at the dentist. The filing is perfect. No pain and it looks so natural. I really recommend Dr Sunah. I was so impressed with her that I registered my daughter and husband with her as well. They both have had equally amazing things to say about her. Fantastic experience: I came for an emergency In this practice I had discomfort on my front teeth and they were very wobbly Dr. Sunah did an amazing job she put the splint and I felt very comfortable during the treatment . She explained every details of the treatment plan. Her nurse is very efficient and they were very friendly.
