Negative experience: i had an appointment today with this dentist, wasn't even introduced to the dentist examining my teeth so cant even say her name. was a young women with eyeliner, i first went into the room explaining i struggled with my anxiety and mental health. she then began to examine my mouth and ask me about smoking i told her i smoke she told me about how it could be bad for my health which is fine, but then told me i would sound like a man if i was to continue to smoke, which i found very unprofessional and was feeling like a personal attack towards me. i carried on without saying anything she told me i needed treatment for a cavity which is fine, then said i should take anxiety medication the next time i come to the dentist, which is very unprofessional considering she doesn't know me at all, anxiety medication makes me extremely manic and i can't take it. instead of giving me one minute to relax and stop shoving everything down my throat she resulted to medication. which i dont think was her place to tell me. after this i tried making an appointment with a different dentist same place but they wouldn't let me. overall just wanted me in and out of there quick and didn't care about my feelings what so ever, dont recommend going if ur anxious about the dentist or struggle with mental health in general. considering this was my first time there im disgusted. hostile person never felt so uncomfortable in a dentist before.

Fantastic experience: The team were patient kind and caring towards my children and were able to answer the questions I had. It only that they chased up paperwork from the orthodontist and offered me an extra appointment to go through my concerns and anxieties after having a poor experience with another practice. I never felt rushed and the dentist used her own time to look into the questions and worries I had about my child’s teeth. A massive thank you, from an anxious mum.

Fantastic experience: I had my hygienist appointment yesterday and it was a great experience! She was very welcoming and took the time to share a lot of helpful information about oral care. Ever since I joined, I’ve noticed how friendly and accommodating the entire staff are — from the reception to the dental team. Everyone makes you feel comfortable and valued as a patient. The only thing I’d suggest is to add a bit more seating in the waiting area, as it seems your number of customers is growing — which is a good sign! Keep up the excellent service, and I hope the warm and welcoming atmosphere never changes.

Fantastic experience: On Thursday 20th February 2025 my wife and I had our periodic dental checks. On arrival at Banbury Dental Surgery we were swiftly booked in by Julianna on reception who was very pleasant and friendly. Within a few minutes we were called ontime to see Dr. Deeksha Lassen who is an excellent dentist with a kind and caring manner. Dr. Deeksha takes time to explain what she is doing, to comment on the condition of your teeth and gums and to answer any questions.

Fantastic experience: I am a person that got caught out with not being able to see a dentist for 4 year so was pretty terrified. All the staff from reception to dentist assistants and hygiene lady made me fee comfortable at all times and kept me up to date with every move they did . Not so worried about my next visit

I explained my problem and she went out of her way to ensure I was totally numb. I so appreciate her kindness and professionalism

Fantastic experience: I have been an NHS patient with the practice since 2008 and have always been well treated. I had a recent checkup and x-rays were taken to ensure that there were no underlying problems. It is easy to make an appointment and they contact me by text and email to remind me about my next appointment. I am never kept waiting and the reception staff are always very helpful. I usually visit the hygienist every six months who makes a great job of giving my teeth that extra deep clean. I had a course of teeth whitening last year to remove tea stains and the results are still effective.

I've been with this Dental surgery for many years and I've found in my time with them I get good care and support also patience. Also very good advice on things I've asked them about. Bit of a wait for dentist check up because an emergency appointment was fitted in but this is ok as it shows a practice that offers immediate appointment if you are in pain. Overall an excellent NHS dental experience.
