Negative experience: Horrible staff sit there and laf at you in pain while dentist walk around talking and lafing your sat there with a appointment 30 minutes late I gave up rather be in pain then have the micky taken out me by people making a hole load of money for your pain will never attend again and DO NOT RECOMMEND REGISTERING.

Fantastic experience: I had a follow up appointment today at 14.15 with dentist Arshi Mughal, she is the Pleasant Caring Lovely professional dentist that I have ever met, I would highly recommend this lady. Her care is 10/10 Very gentle handed, I Can’t wait for my next appointment with her! ❤️

Fantastic experience: I have a big phobia and lots of anxiety when it comes to the dentist. I had a failed extraction by a different dental practice which left my anxiety even worse. Arshi Mughal was very gentle and managed to put me at ease and successfully remove the tooth with no complications.

Positive experience: The Denist itself is ok, receptionist are lovely and every other dentist I have seen is lovely apart from Arshi, the good reviews about her on here are clearly fake and have been reported, she is without of doubt the worst dentist I have ever had, she is rough, non sympathetic and you will leave in worse pain than you arrived with especially if you are an nhs patient, I don’t know how Arshi still has a license after all the pain and suffering she has caused not just to me but with many other patients, if you have an appointment with Arshi my best advice is to cancel and book with another dentist at this practice as the rest have your best interest at heart and she seems to take pride in seeing her patients distressed.

She was absolutely lovely — very calm, gentle, and reassuring throughout, which immediately put me at ease. Positive experience: Generally speaking the dentistry is good quality with the registered staff being approachable and considerate. However the reception team need some work! No recognition when arriving to the desk, not even just a "be with you in a minute". Whilst sat waiting for 30 minutes for an on the day emergency appointment (wait time expected) I witnessed the reception staff talking informally whilst patients were waiting and didn't finish their conversations to attend to those waiting. This has happened on multiple occasions when I have visited the practice. The phone line system is also awful, you are far better off emailing them to book anything.

Fantastic experience: I suffer terribly from a fear of Dentists , I have Panic attacks etc. well I did until I visited this Dental Surgery .As soon as I arrived I was put at ease by the Reception they were Professional,kind and very considerate towards how I felt then I met my Angel of a Dentist Miss Arshi , from the second I walked in I was put at ease and so professional .Because of every person in that clinic from Reception to my Dentist I say Thankyou , you all have been amazing

Fantastic experience: As one of the last surviving NHS dentist GDC is proving an outstanding service for their many patients they must have to manage and yet even though the staff are busy they maintain professionalism and kindness. My appointment with Arshi was a pleasant experience and she really put my anxiety at ease with her kind manner. I have also seen how this practice doesn't encourage unnecessary work as I've experienced with other surgeries in the past. Thank you to the all the team!

Positive experience: Never had a problem with actual dentists, the issue is with the reception area. On numerous occasions now it felt like I was wearing an invisibility cloak when stood in front of the reception desk with upto 3 receptionists working seemingly flat out on their computers, not looking up!!

Negative experience: The worst experience I ever had with a dentist /dental clinic, been there have a fill 4 weeks ago , the problem is the pain it’s worse then before, try to call them from 2 weeks every day already, no answer , I pay 220 for much pain ! Negative experience: Can never get through on the phone, no way of leaving messages either. Had to walk into practice to see if could get an appointment. The receptionist states high volume of calls, sat for 1 hour didn't hear the phone ring once , tried to phone it whilst in there it didn't ring. My mother needs urgent care and they just do not care. Just make up excuses , awful place but can't get a dentist anywhere else and especially not that care anyway. Wouldn't even give it 1 star. Can't cancel appointments either as no one answers, there is no phone options either. Absolutely awful

Negative experience: I attended today for an app i had tooth ache . Had an xray and the young kid could not read it . Had 3 people watching over him . Must of needed a chaperone . My dentist had left . Given me a new dentist that cant do the job . Been left with toothache for 6 months . Avoid the place . Nikhil reddy gottam . I saw . He was awful . Got a second opinion the tooth which hr didnt noe if it was a whole of shadow . Has a big crack in it . Needs root canal of taken out . Plus two other teeth need fillings . Was left with toothache . Told to come back in 6 months with toothache . DONT BOTHER COMPLAINING TO HEAD OFFICE AS THEY NEVER GET BACK TO YOU

Negative experience: If someone could please tell me how to speak to someone on reception I would be very grateful. My daughter was unwell and unable to attend appointment.... If no one ever answers phone and you can't leave message, how are you supposed to inform them?? I have been calling since repeatedly but no luck and no response to email either. I'm assuming my daughter will be de registered for non-attendance but this is grossly unfair as we had no way of letting them know.

Negative experience: Worst experience of my life, currently pregnant and always paid private dental care as never found a dentist taking on nhs patients anymore. but since being pregnant you are entitled to free nhs care, so I found this dentist that was taking on NHS patients. and decided to change over. So I had over 40min wait and it 30 degrees out and the building was like an ocean, no air con, fans nothing was feeling really faint due to being heavily pregnant. I understand sometimes wait times and people run behind and I am understanding person, so I wait. Receptionist were kind and apologetic. THEN I saw dentist go over to one of the receptionist and speak to her like absolute rubbish, I thought to myself hope that isn’t my dentist….well I soon find out it was. His name was Karim Belal, from the minute I walked in he was rude, unfriendly, told me he couldn’t do anything for me because I’m pregnant yet before I got an appointment here I already had dentist treatment pregnant. I understand x Ray issue but this was just a first consultation appointment as a nhs patient, asked me why I moved dentist and I explained that I have been trying to find nhs dentist as I’m pregnant and entitled to nhs treatment. He basically made me feel so uncomfortable, when looking in my mouth he was so rough and just not someone I felt comfortable with. Everything I was explaining he was just not listening and made me feel like I’m wasting his time. Being pregnant takes a big toll on your oral health hence why every women who become pregnant gets a certificate to get free dental care so I just wanted to keep my oral hygiene up and I have a tooth that needs a root canal after having temp filing from previous dentist until my appointment here. He refused to do any kind of work to me at all until I’ve had my baby, even though you can have dental treatment pregnant! I now regret terribly changing over dentist from private to nhs, I mean it’s sad because we are all entitled to nhs dentist treatment it’s just finding somewhere that takes patients on so I honestly thought I was very lucky in doing finding one as I always been private. I can’t speak for other dentists here so I may ask to change, but Karim Belal should not be a dentist!! Or if he hates doing nhs patients maybe he should stick to private dental care. I work I health care and understand the strain it has, BUT I would never be little or have no empathy for my patients. If that isn’t the person you are you shouldn’t be in this industry!! In my whole 30 years of my life I never had bad experience in the dentist and I can see why now people are scared of them!

Negative experience: Warning! Do not go to this dentist!!! I have been with this dentist since September last year and I’m still waiting for proper treatment. I’ve had three appointments in total two got either pushed back or cancelled due to the dentist not being there. The receptionists are lazy they don’t answer the phone nor call you back. Not to mention when I did manage to get an appointment with the dentist and told them I am in really bad pain. They just poke around and ask questions for a few minutes then they send you away. Which has led to me having more problem and be in more intense pain. The only way they call you or acknowledge you is when you put a complaint in! DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST

Negative experience: Dangerous Dentists! Reception are like zombies, they simply don't acknowledge you. As for the dentists, they've torn all my gums on the left side leaving me in more pain than I came there with. I explained that I havent been to the dentist in a while and that I'm terrified of the dentists. No compassion or empathy whatsoever, didn't tell me anything they were doing, made my partner leave the room and didn't even tell him or me why. Forced an xray device into my mouth didn't tell me what it was, what they were doing or what I was supposed to do, I was choking on it and they ignored me entirely. Decided to start hitting me hard in each tooth asking if it hurt, they've actually chipped a tooth from hitting it so hard. Then said they wanted to remove my tooth, at which point I was holding back tears and quite frankly traumatised. So I obviously said no. I'm now going private and being sedated for any work by a dentist with human feelings. I wouldn't wish a trip to this farm on my worst enemy.

Fantastic experience: I would like to say a huge thank you to Almas Gulam Hussain Shaikh for her patience, kindness, gentle approach, and cheerful disposition. She is incredibly empathetic and compassionate, making you feel completely at ease throughout your appointments. Being new to the dentist, my fear really set in—and unfortunately, the first dentist I saw was a man who was rude and awful, which made things worse. I requested a change, and oh my God, I’m so glad I did. Meeting Almas changed everything. I had three fillings done today, and it was honestly the best experience I’ve ever had at the dentist. Almas took every aspect of my pain into account, and I didn’t feel a thing—not even the injection! She’s an absolute credit to the practice, and I’m so grateful to her for restoring my faith in dental care. She also made a referral to the hospital for my wisdom teeth removal, which was acted on quickly—something I really appreciated, especially as I’d been in so much pain. I truly can’t fault the service she provides. Her dedication to patient care really shines through. I’d also like to thank her assistant—a young man whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. He was brilliant and supportive throughout. Thank you both. Lastly, a thank you to Jay at reception. There was a mix-up with a certificate, but Jay handled it professionally and efficiently, which I really appreciated. This is the kind of service expect from the Dental Centre—unlike my last visit, when I was made to feel quite unwelcome by another receptionist. Today’s experience more than made up for it, so thank you again. I will definitely be back in six months.. ☺️

Negative experience: As a new patient I couldn’t have predicted the experience I had with this dentals office reception team as a black paying customer! Went in for my appointment there were 3 ladies at the reception desk, ome of the ladies had just finished with a patient she was very cheery and the patient left. All 3 ladies were free. Myself and a friend stood there for a couple minutes while all 3 ladies looked at us straight in our faces didn’t acknowledge us and carried on with their own personal conversations. The disrespect was so blatant but I always like to give persons the benefit of the doubt. Already in excruciating dental pain this is not what I wanted to deal with. After several minutes of standing there one the ladies finally decided to acknowledge us and she had an attitude. (Note the previous patient that just left was white and was met with a very positive attitude). we were the ONLY BLACK people there. While I sat there waiting to see the dentist in the waiting room several white persons came in and they were acknowledged with a smile , seen and booked in within seconds! Checked in, after seeing the dentist who was lovely mind you, no issues with her. I needed to get a prescription stamped and arrange a follow up appointment. The same exact experience happened when I went back to reception to sort of my prescription. All 3 ladies were free yet again nobody acknowledge us. They all looked at us then went on with their own conversations. After standing there for several minutes yet again! one of the ladies probably had enough of us just standing here decided to acknowledge us. While sorting that out the other two ladies were free. A white male gentleman came in and I counted because I didn’t want to believe it’s because we’re black ! He was seen and met with a smile within 3 seconds !! That definitely confirmed it for me. It’s 2025 and to be treated this way as black person, a black paying customer as that by a dental office is absolutely ridiculous and disheartening to experience. I genuinely hope that the 3 white female receptionists gets some sort of diversity training as that behaviour towards innocent people is unfair. #racistdentaloffice

Negative experience: Dentist discriminated against my elderly mother of 92 yrs of age . He refused to see her after cancelling two appointments which were necessary as mum was in hospital on both events . Absolutely atrocious behaviour towards an elderly person . Negative experience: TORTURE CHAMBER - DANGEROUS DENTISTS WITH ZERO COMPASSION OR REMORSE! LEFT ME IN AGONY FOR 10 WEEKS TO THE POINT OF NEEDING HOSPITAL INTERVENTION! Fantastic experience: Fantastic from the moment I joined, joined by email two weeks ago. The receptionist Diana was very helpful and made the whole process of signing up easy. Seen next day,at the first appointment. I was advised I needed two teeth extracted and a filling. Went back today for the two teeth to be extracted and filling and the process was quick and painless great dental nurse and dentist.

Negative experience: The worst pain I have ever felt in my life,I wasn’t numbed up enough,, he started to work immediately after injecting,there was no way my mouth was properly numbed up and the dentist started drilling haphazardly in my mouth,he slipped a few times and hit other teeth and the roof of my mouth,,I cried through the whole procedure,he did ask if I was ok,I think I was in shock as I couldn’t stop shaking and I was frozen with fear,I’m sure he seen the tears streaming down my face and even now that it’s over I could easily cry thinking about it,I never want to go back to this dentist

Fantastic experience: New patient due to an emergency, they have gone above and beyond to help me, including fitting me into my mums appointment for a follow on script. Anwar and Almas were so wonderful and did more than they ever had to. Also got me referred to a specialist urgently. Dental nurses and receptionists also lovely and respectful.

Fantastic experience: Called to join myself and my family. Receptionist answered straight away and was lovely, she had great customer service and was very helpful. When it turned out I was joined over 10 years ago and had missed an appointment and even though they're usually strict with letting people join again she spoke to her manager and got me joined up along with my family and made us appointments there and then.

Negative experience: Worst pain in my life .worst than child birth or even breaking my spine.had a root removed back of mouth. Aneasthetic did not even numb amd wow the pain is the absolute worst.2 minutes after injection told him.i.wasnt numb amd he .proceeded. Negative experience: This dentist practise hasTHE worst reception I have ever encountered with any service generally not just dentists I had a badly infected tooth and rang 114 times as logged on my iPhone. Constant pre recorded message saying line was busy. Emailed them explaining my situation…… still nothing. Had to go to NHS 111 and get an emergency dentist elsewhere. Gloucester dental……. Fantastic experience: The American receptionist Antonio was super lovely and helpful. He assisted my partner and I register and get seen after we were referred by 111 today. It was a delight to deal with such a caring receptionist. Jessica the dentist and her dental assistant were also great as they helped diagnose the problem my partner had right away.

Negative experience: Why does a dental practice which offers such excellent treatment with modern equipment use a telephone system that is so completely useless as to be virtually non-existent. I tried to get through over 20 times in one day recently to make an emergency appointment. The phone either rang - which gave hope there was life at the other end - but then cut the connection the instant one of the receptionists answered - or just gave the engaged tone. If it wasn't for the excellence of my particular dentist, I would change to another practice. Come on Gloucester Dental Practice. Enter the 21st century and upgrade your telephone system. Change your provider if your current supplier can't do any better.

Fantastic experience: After weeks of searching the reviews for dentist i finally found this place, the reception team are very helpful (they always reply to my nervous emails). Mr Shivhare is brilliant, made sure i understood the impact of having the extraction done and always explained other alternatives to me. I decided to go with the extraction and can honestly say i never felt any pain whatsoever ☺️. Very happy patient and hopefully this will build my confidence to keep returning. I wrote this review a few years ago and i can still stand by it, i still see the same dentist Mr Shivhare and he is still so patient and he delivers excellent person centred care. Negative experience: Reception never answer the phone and when they do they don't pass messages on or actually help. The dentist I have now is really rude (to everyone including his assistant) and very arrogant. He has no time or sympathy for patients that are nervous & basically gives up if something is too hard. I really want to swap back to the female dentist I originally had at this practice because she was exactly the opposite very warm friendly & sympathetic. Constantly cancelling appointments because the dentist "is on holiday" for a month at a time.

Negative experience: Went in for an emergency NHS appointment. Arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, as I was told to! Didn’t get seen till 40 minutes past my appointment time. When I finally got in the dentist was very rude, pointed to the chair (didn’t use words). Didn’t at any point tell me when he was doing, just forced my mouth open causing it to rip at the sides and bleed. Rather than doing the X-ray properly he just grabbed my finger and placed on the flimsy piece of film. I was in there less than 5 minutes and charged £40 to basically be physically assaulted.

Negative experience: Dentists themselves are brilliant and would be 5 stars. The issue I’ve had with this practice is the cancelling of appointments. One appointment was cancelled whilst I was sat in the waiting room, waiting for said appointment! Another one cancelled the morning of. Then when they do cancel appointments, it’s a minimum of 4 months before they can book you in again. Hard to schedule appointments in around work, then to get these cancelled just makes getting seen even more difficult. When dentists leave and they can’t replace, they also do not give you the option of getting seen, so I waited well over a year previously to have a check up, as they wouldn’t book me in- ultimately resulting in a problem that should have been treated getting worse!

Fantastic experience: Having recently been let down by a previous dentist- I registered with Gloucester Dental Care. Everything went smoothly with the application, registering and subsequent treatment. I had to have some dental work and the Dentist who treated me was Almas. Her manner was absolutely amazing, very thorough and no pain or discomfort was felt throughout the work. She constantly kept checking with me if I was ok. Very happy to have found an alternative dentist and would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Alma's female dentist was very lovely to me and my kids. Interacted very well with the kids and very clear on the treatment plan for all of us. All the reception ladies were very professional and respectful. A big relief after being let down by Genix in Gloucester. Avoid Genix at all costs!!!! I would recommend the Gloucester dental care to all my friends and family. They care, they are not money driven like Genix.....

Fantastic experience: I’m not usually a very good with going to the dentist, I have very sensitive teeth and I generally don’t like the whole process. However Dr Almas was fantastic. She was very caring and gentle and was very calming with the way she explained everything. She did a fantastic job with my knackered front teeth too. Thank you Dr Almas.

Negative experience: Dentist made me nervous, reception made me never come back Dr Ibrahim didn't state that he was almost certain my tooth would crack in half during my root canal treatment until he was about to put the anaesthetic in. I had a panic attack. He insisted he'd already told me this even though I would definitely have remembered this and none of the paperwork confirmed it. He kept saying my tooth would either break during the procedure or within a year of it. It's been over a year and my tooth is fine. That's bad enough but it's the appalling reception that made me never come back and find a different dental practice. It's practically impossible to call via phone, they cancel your appointments just before they would've started (I travelled from Stroud for my appointments) and worse of all, they were extremely rude. I never came back after one ridiculous interaction. I was waiting in reception, unhappy about how hard it is to get through on their phone line, when two of the female receptionists started complaining about patients "moaning about the phones". They said "wah wah wah, I couldn't get through, oh well get over it, get a life, who cares". I was so annoyed that I went to reception and told them that everyone could hear them and they shouldn't bad mouth patients at reception. To my disbelief, the receptionists didn't apologise, a blonde one even argued with me that they have a hard job and it's not their fault that the phone lines are busy, and it's stressful when patients complain so they should be allowed to complain about patients. The clinic manager had to get involved, she said she understood why I was upset but I don't remember an apology or anything. To this day I've still never seen such unprofessional and rude receptionists in my life. Never went back. My root canal treatment was successful so some stars but patients shouldn't be made to feel the way they make people feel there

Fantastic experience: I cannot fault the care I received. I am a VERY nervous patient but Ibrahim put me at ease, explained everything he was doing & never once made me feel embarrassed about my teeth. He has literally put the smile back on my face!! Highly recommend him & the friendliness of the other staff there. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: Just tried calling dental practice at least 4 attempts to get through finally a female answered the phone so quietly I could hardly hear I asked if they still contacted you about appointments she said they did I haven't heard anything for 1 year asked me a couple of questions not at all friendly just told me a date and time didn't even ask if was ok or nothing that was it will not be returning

Negative experience: The blonde gentleman on reception is appalling. Lacks any empathy, care and respect. Truly in shock after the way I was spoken to by him. He was chewing gum and leaned back with no professionalism. I don’t feel comfortable letting my elderly parents go to the dentist alone now in fear he will mistreat them. Truly truly appalled.

Negative experience: Nightmare of a dentist. The guy who does the nhs dental access centre emergency appointments is very rude and aggressive! He doesn’t care about you as a patient or if you’re a nervous patient. This guy made me fear dentists! Was always fine before this. Avoid at all costs

Negative experience: Terrible reception service. Booked for an appointment at 8 am when practice unbeknown to me, practice opens at 8:30 am. Turned up for the appointment and after 30 mins wait was told dentist was fully booked for the day and the next available appointment was 2 weeks later.

Fantastic experience: I have a huge fear of the dentist and haven’t gone regularly for some time because of this. I broke a tooth and after calling 111 I was referred to Gloucester Dental Care. While it does take a long time to get through on the phone, the receptionists are friendly and my dentist Arslan Anwar was really patient with me as I was very upset and nervous to be there. He has helped me to register at the practice after not being able to find an NHS dentist for some time and he has put in place a treatment plan for me to hopefully sort out some of my damaged and infected teeth.

Positive experience: Whilst it's difficult to get through on the phone (going in person works well) i was really impressed with my latest fillings. Ramteen Ahrabi did an amazing job giving me front teeth that look better than any other dentist has managed. Feeling much more confident with my smile.

Negative experience: Honestly this practice is a joke! Having had cancelled appointments during COVID and try to get a new appointment. And they say you can’t use the service due to their error. You have to go private through the same practice!! DO NOT USE THESE

Negative experience: Previously had no issues, but when trying to rebook an appointment they had apparently removed me as an NHS patient and said that they could not see me due to not attending for 2 years, but my last appointment was cancelled by them! Before this they tried to lie to me saying that it was because I had failed to attend and the dentist was refusing to see me, which I have never done in my life and was quite offended by this. Practice Manager was meant to contact me but more than a month later still has not... Safe to say I won't be going back..

Fantastic experience: I have an extreme fear of dentists, which over the years had prevented me from going, leaving me with missing teeth and badly damaged teeth. I have been with this practice for over a year, and whilst there is a wait between appointments, like many nhs dentists, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. My dentist Rose, is so patient and understanding with my anxiety and has done amazing work with the teeth that are salvageable. Each time I leave after an appointment, I feel more and more confident. I would highly recommend Gloucester Dental Care, they have really helped me come to terms with my phobia, and I couldn’t be happier.

Negative experience: Dentists are fine but why does the receptionist insist that patients wait in the hall till 2pm when her break ends? So I go through the open doorway and wait in the practice after 2.
