Fantastic experience: Incredible treatment. Have always had a real phobia in terms of dental treatment. Such fear was allayed within the first five minutes of being treated by Dr. Angela O'Reagan. Have had five visits and everyone was outstanding in terms of my clinical treatment, accompanied by genuine empathy, care and consideration. The whole staff are a genuine credit to any dental practice. There is only one place for dental treatment of me, from now on and that is at 740, why consider any alternative when I have received only the very best of car and attention ( and a vastly improved mouth to go with it.

Sophia was absolutely outstanding, such a lovely, kind person and extremely professional. 740 were extremely accommodating toward my requirements and got my teeth wedding ready in a short period of time, even assisted with whitening and making sure they looked great in time. Would recommend 740 to anyone looking for a professional, flexible & generally great service.

Fantastic experience: After being very nervous for quite some time I finally decided to come to back to the dentist and choose 740 dental. Richard is a very nice man and your feelings and nerves was his no.1 priority. After a check up and a clean I was ready to have a root canal After passing out on a previous root canal I was more than impressed with Richard at 740 I did not feel a thing and the whole process was very relaxed and I would recommend this practice especially Richard to anyone . Kyle . Also Kate the hygienist is amazing always does exceptionally good job and what a nice lady her and her assistant are thank you ladys. Right thought I would update this review not happy st all wo t let me see the hygienist my teeth really really need cleaning im broke can't afford anything but apparently I hsve to have a check up with the dentist before I can see my hygienist again not happy at all I think its disgusting if I want a hygienist im layout g for it ans should be able to go to the hygienist all dental I. This country is far to overpriced but these lot are a joke

Her and her team were so lovely and explained everything as she went along. This really helped with my anxiety towards dentists. Would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I genuinely cant thank this place enough. I went in with very bad teeth that were caused by a bad dentist I was sent too when I was a teenager that was for autistics. I thought they were beyond saving and that I couldn't handle any dental work. But this place is so nice, so calm and understanding, and I now have lovely teeth! I can tell them any worry and they listen with no judgement. Ive gone from being very very scared of the dentist to now being able to have 3 fillings done at a time. They are all amazing here and I recommend to people who have issues with the dentists. I can smile now with no worry of people making horrible comments about my teeth!!!!

Positive experience: It says pain free dental* which they try to aim for and obviously isn't when the dentist was poking right into my gum that I explained was sensitive. Tried to tell me i have sensitive teeth, no other dentist for 20 years has said that, I bite into ice cream and ice lollies and open packages with my teeth. They are not sensitive. I wasn't even asked by the dentist what filling I would prefer and was given the more expensive one with no choice. Had to get them to buff it again because it was too rough. Now I have to go get it checked by them again, because the filling didn't actually fill the hole. Genuinely one of the worst dentists I've had, and I've had quite a few over the years. Edit: issues partially resolved with a replacement metal filling and a refund of the difference. Will see how this filling goes first of all. Review will be left as is, the experience I had was still not good and this is the least they could do to rectify the issue. Edit 2: after nearly a year of having the filling in i can say that this is without a doubt some of the worst dental work I've ever had. The filling was either not done correctly, the dentist is bad at their job, or I somehow have the most complex teeth to ever fill. Near a year on and I can suck my teeth and feel the filling pulling away from the pressure difference. As mentioned I've had multiple fillings, longer than this by 5 times as much or more, none of them have ever given me a single bit of trouble, ever. So either the dental practice themselves just operate at a mediocre level or you've allowed a dentist that should no longer be allowed to practice work on my teeth

Fantastic experience: After over two decades of no visits to dentist due to bad experience, I found a place that takes all your worries away. My dentist Sophia is the most patient, gentle and understanding. Also a big shout-out to Nancy who kept reassuring me. Both ladies kept me calm. Fantastic experience: I would never go anywhere else! I have had 2 wisdom teeth removed now on separate occasions by Dr Richard Halderthay and Dr Marzena Fraszczak. On both times I was nervous, but was assured throughout the whole process and made comfortable. On both occasions I felt no pain at all and it was dealt with promptly and professionally. I have heard horror stories from people using other dentists and how they go for a regular check up and be told they need lots of work when they felt they do not. I had the polar opposite with Dr Halderthay, and felt assured that he was giving good, honest advice and not looking to ‘find problems’ as I’m told some dentists may do. I hadn’t been to a check up for a few years and Dr Halderthay said that my teeth were fine and didn’t need any work (except removal of wisdom tooth, which I knew about). Thanks 740. You have a customer for life!!

Negative experience: After reading these reviews it really stands out to me just how badly I was treated. I had been with this practice for 20 plus years under Richard. Sadly I have to say it has gone down hill and unfortunately they see money before humanity. They will use silver for fillings unless you ask for white. I was passed to someone I had never seen before for a filling and after a week half my tooth fell off. I then had a crown fitted and again they used silver to bond it and not white. I grind my teeth at night have done for years and was told I don't need a mouth guard. I have had a bridge for 18 years and after just a few weeks of it being fitted a tooth popped away from it. Richard then tried to rebond it making the tooth much thicker causing immense pressure at the gum. The tooth popped away again and I was left suffering with pressure and a loose tooth for 18 years. This totally changed my diet and I have only been able to eat soft food ever since. The tooth ended up falling out and I was then passed to James, who I found very hostile towards me. He glue the tooth back to the bridge for £250 on the day and I was more than pleased with the outcome as you could barely notice it, and it was a blessing to not have the pressure at the gum anymore. I then got a brush stuck in the gap next to it which popped the tooth off after just 4 months. James then demanded I paid a further £250 on the day or he would NOT see me. The second time James took it upon himself to totally alter my smile without even discussing such a drastic change with me. What he did was completely unnecessary, leaving me devastated. Even the receptionists looked horrified when I showed them. After getting a second opinion from another dentist I complained and stressed how upset I was with what James has done. I then got offered what James and Richard both know I can't afford along with James reasons for doing what he did. So I stressed again how upset I was, how bad it looks and that I found James excuses for what he did unjustified. I was then told to find another dentist and they have removed me from their books. Very disappointed as I have referred friends and family to this practice in the past.

Fantastic experience: I had a crown fitting by James and Lisa and was amazed at the technology use in this procedure the work carried out was absolutely painless and a perfect fit first time. Perfect job.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending this practice for many years now. Before that, I dreaded going to the dentist, as many people do. Since going to 740 Dental, I dread no longer! Richard and Marzena make the dental experience as pleasant as it can be; they're always friendly, smiling and great at putting you at ease. Fantastic experience: I initially went to 740 in January of 2024, after many years of neglecting my dental health and routine. After recommending I see a gum specialist to get my gum health in shape first, I then embarked on a nine-month journey of many appointments including scans, crowns, and porcelain veneers. At the start of this, I only had 18 teeth in my mouth, I now have 24 and my smile is perfect. Incredible attention to detail, care and explanation from James Coupe, and all the receptionists are charming; Debbie, Narlah, Ellie, and Shabnam. My fear has totally gone, and I would highly recommend anybody to go if you have a fear. These people are utterly amazing and will make you feel very comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I have had only excellent treatment at 740 Dental. My dentist is Angela and she is brilliant, she is caring and puts to instantly at ease with excellent dental care too. I have recently had my teeth straightened with Envisalign. The orthodontist who looked after me was Sofia who also was extremely caring and easy to deal with. If I had any discomfort or worries she would always make herself available to see me. I was also extremely pleased with the end result and was told that I could contact her anytime if I had any problems. I would highly reccomend anyone who is not happy with their smile to consider Envisalign. Overall the whole practice is very welcoming and friendly and you get excellent dental care & value for money.

Fantastic experience: I’ve visited 740 Dental on a number of occasions and after years of feeling nervous about going it doesn’t bother me one bit now. I’ve recently had dental implants fitted. Sharon, who was very kind, took two of my bottom teeth out and James Coupe has worked his magic and done a superb job fitting two new implants. It was a long process but I’m over the moon with the results and so pleased I had it done. Would highly recommend 740 to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Saw Richard with a very painful tooth. After discussing possible outcomes, it was decided to remove it. He was so kind and gentle and kept stopping for me to calm down Am not a nervous patient normally but I think my nerves were the shock of having a back tooth with three roots removed. Richard was excellent and would definitely recommend him. His nurse Marzena was so lovely too.

After wearing full dentures for many years, I met with James Coupe to discuss improving my bite as I was overwhelmed with frustration at how the ones I had at the time were functioning. I am honestly SO IMPRESSED by his knowledge and thorough determination to make me brand new bottom & top denture plates. He has TOTALLY transformed my mouth and I find I am smiling with my mouth open so much more now as well as being able to eat properly. Fantastic experience: Recently had some dental work that I was dreading - Angela was super efficient and reassuring. The result is way better than I had hoped for. It wasn't cheap but it was well worth it!

Negative experience: In my honest opinion, this dental practice operates more like a kebab shop than a reputable healthcare facility. I implore anyone seeking proper dental care and has genuine concern for their well-being to look elsewhere. I recently visited this dental practice with the need of having my lower wisdom tooth removed. First and foremost, despite the practice advertising tooth removal as one of their services, it became apparent that they lacked the necessary expertise in-house. They assured me that they would refer me to a specialist they worked with who would see me within a week, but I never received any follow-up or communication regarding the referral. After three weeks, concerned about my worsening condition, I decided to reach out to the practice for antibiotics. When I called in, I was invited to sit in the dental chair, where the dentist briefly examined the tooth next to the problematic wisdom tooth, blew a bit of air and applied some “special liquid”-her exact words. In addition to the antibiotics, I was unexpectedly charged £50 for deep scaling, a procedure that was never performed. It became apparent that they were simply attempting to monetize the time spent with me, displaying a complete disregard for patient care. One week later, I found myself dealing with an abscess and a significant swelling around the tooth that was supposedly cleaned. Worried about the infection spreading and impacting the neighbouring teeth, I urgently contacted the practice again, seeking guidance and proper treatment. Despite being promised a call back, I received no response for four days so far at the time of writing this feedback, leaving me in distress and without the necessary medical attention. It is truly disheartening to witness a dental practice that prioritises financial gain over the well-being of its patients. The blatant lack of communication, and professionalism is astounding. They have clearly abused their position of trust and failed to uphold their responsibilities as healthcare providers.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed an 18-month course of treatment for implants, straightening, and whitening with Dr. James Coupe at 740 Dental. The entire experience was extremely positive, from the initial consultation to the final treatment. Dr. Coupe and his team were all fantastic, and I was consistently impressed with their professionalism, expertise, and compassion. The treatment itself was pain-free, despite being very involved and lengthy. I was always aware of what was happening, and I felt confident that Dr. Coupe and his team were taking the best possible care of me. The end result is absolutely amazing. My teeth are straight, white, and healthy, and I've had so many people comment on how good they look. I couldn't be happier with the results! Thank you to all the team at 740 Dental.

Fantastic experience: In June 2023, my husband saw Laura one of the Hygienists. He is not a confident patient and has had bad experiences at other dentists/hygienists. He was expecting to have his teeth or gums numbed so as not to feel pain which he had experienced before. Laura was very calm and reassuring and commenced her treatment. There was absolutely no pain or bleeding and anaesthesia was not required at all. He was absolutely delighted and will be booking to see Laura again in 6 months. Thank you, especially to Laura, but all the other kind & friendly staff at 740 Dental.

Fantastic experience: I was searching for a dentist to help me fix/remove a broken tooth for 3+ years but because of the pandemic no one was taking new patients and I contacted 30+ practises private and NHS. Every day on my way to work I pass 740 and realised I haven’t tried them and by miracle they did take me on and every step has been fantastic! I let them know I was a nervous patient and I couldn’t have felt more calm and cared for in my life! Sharon Halderthay looked after me on all 3 of my visits and I couldn’t recommend her higher!! Even my partner is going to join the practice on the back of my praises and I come from a luxury retail background so to me customer service is what gains your customers trusts and builds a relationship that can last years! I’m well and truly a happy patient and will stay with this practice for years to come. While I’m still nervous on the build up to doing to the dentist once I’m in that chair I know I’m in safe hands!

Fantastic experience: WOW what an amazing dental practice -Totally transformed my smile! From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by such a friendly reception team (I am quite a nervous patient, so this really does help), to then have this same kind and caring manor brought through into the dental room by the team there. The staff are very thorough, and take their time in communicating with you about all options and give dental advice without being condescending. After I had my front crowns replaced and 2 veneers added, my smile really was truly transformed and now I always get comments on how lovely my teeth look. And best of all the treatment was pain free! THANK YOU 740!!!!

Negative experience: Awful disorganized shambles. You may check in with the Receptionist (Debbie) but you will never be seen by the Dentist, they just mark you 'no show' and will have to leave without your treatment. Do not go there, you will regret it!!! Stay away from this faulty tower.

Fantastic experience: I am so impressed with 740 dental. I’m an extremely nervous patient after having bad experiences with other dentists, but this was actually a pleasant experience. The receptionist who booked my experience was extremely polite and sensitive to my needs. When I arrived everyone was friendly and polite. The dentist I saw for an emergency filling, Sharon, was so kind and gentle. I barely felt any pain, whereas in the past it has been excruciating. Her nurse was brilliant and was so spot on with suction that I didn’t swallow anything. Thank you so much to everyone at 740 Dental. You are all amazing and have restored my faith in dentists. I am even booking in to see the hygienist and for a check up with Sharon.

Negative experience: Angela O’regan was my dentist for approx 2 years, the fillings I had were ok but came off repeatedly, despite being private and more expensive the service was always rushed and felt like she was working against the clock to a point I felt I couldn't ask questions. Ive since gone to park dental service and had the same treatment re-done by Angelos Sideris, much better/smoother finish, no more sore tongue from rough edges on the fillings done by Angela.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. Very caring. Can't fault them

Negative experience: Invisalign done with information conveniently 'left out' such as the need to wear a brace forever and little tabs on your teeth for everyone to see. Brace also broke and they quoted £180 to fix it, yet at another private dentist they charged £55

Positive experience: My wife has just visited for a routine 10min check up, 2 xrays taken and given a clean up. Charged £188, needless to say she just phone me saying she was physically sick. No treatment given or needed. Staff were polite and professional, however patients should be advised in advance if such exorbitant fees are now being charged for routine check ups.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Richard Halderthay for 20 years. He is a lovely person and also an excellent dentist. Whenever there is something serious to be done to my ever troubling teeth he talks me through the possible downsides but then he always does a fantastic job and I am always really grateful for the outcome and there are no downsides, or pain. The team are great too.

Fantastic experience: 740 Dental were recommended to me by my mother in law. At the time I had 2 badly cracked & broken teeth, extremely sensitive and I thought I would need to have removed or crowned. Richard explained the approach they take to preserving and reconstructing teeth. I now have all of my own teeth, no crowns, no extractions and even better, the sensitivity is gone. Both my children now see Richard & Marzena and they are so relaxed about having their appointments. All round, the best dental experience I have ever had.

Fantastic experience: Well where do I begin. I have Health Anxiety which for some reason ended up spiralling out to the dentist meaning I hadn’t been for 5 odd years. I’d been so keen to go but just too terrified of being told the worst news. So I did some research and found 740 who I read all the reviews (hence writing one myself) as if I hadn’t read any I may still be in the same position. I stumbled up the courage and had a new patient exam I cried a lot with worry and fear before going but from the moment I stepped in the receptionists we’re just lovely. I was assigned Richard as my dentist and he is so very Patient with me. I have had my initial exam and was given my dental plan which I’ve already started. I saw a wonderful hygienist (I can’t remember name as was so nervous) and today I had a root canal which I worked myself up so much for I was shaking! Richard and his dental nurse were incredible they made me feel so at ease and Richard was so gentle I didn’t even feel the numbing injections going in AT ALL (all 3 of them) I couldn’t believe it once it was done! All of that worry. I have an extraction next also and bit worried as it’s just an anxiety I have but I’m so reassured now Richard won’t let anything hurt! If you have dental anxiety get yourself to 740 I’m so so relieved I can now begin my journey to Invisalign and white teeth

Fantastic experience: Fabulous practice, with gentle considerate dentists. We have been coming here as a family for more than 20 years and I do reccomend the practice to all, especially those nervous of the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Gill Austin did my teeth today , I had a full clean, I’m not the best at the dentist but she made me feel very calm and told me in detail everything she was doing and was very patient with me. 100% recommend staff extremely friendly too. Well worth the trip there thank you again Gill
