Their reputation is hard earned and well deserved — across the decades I can't think of a dental practice that comes close to the patient care they provide — and I've been to many! But it's the trust element that makes them stand out of the crowd, as from the very first appointment you know you are in safe professional hands.

Fantastic experience: I recently finished my Invisalign journey with Tajel and she and all the staff at the practice were really amazing, lovely, and efficient every step of the way. My teeth turned out amazing and Tajel was extremely informative and helpful if I had any questions or concerns. It was always lovely to go into my appointments and have great chats too! Finished the Invisalign and whitening fairly quickly with incredible results. She really puts you at ease through the whole process and was super flexible with the timeline when I went away for a bit. Would recommend to anyone looking to get their teeth done. Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend Tajel Patel. She is the best dentist I’ve had and she looks after all our family. She managed to fix an on going problem with two of my teeth and my teeth have never looked better. I have always been very stressed when going to see dentists but Tajel makes me feel comfortable and I don’t get nervous when seeing her. She’s also done a great job with Invisalign for me. Additionally she is kind and understanding with my 4 year old so can recommend her for both adults and kids.

Fantastic experience: After 20 years of neglecting my dental health and seeing dentists only in emergency cases, the inevitable reality caught up with me one week before my wedding. Severely decayed teeth underneath my 20-year-old bridge had broken, and my bridge was literally holding on for dear life. I made an appointment with the Portner Pittack team for emergency help, getting me through my wedding with my front teeth in place. Tajel did wonders and spared no effort in saving my special day. She was kind, patient and understanding and really made me feel at ease when discussing all the problems that had built up in my mouth over the years. Roughly half a year later, I’ve gone through various appointments with Tajel and Regina to chip away at all these problems, including surgery with Rob and Michelle for the placement of 4 implants. Rob was always available for questions before and after surgery and even called me to see how I felt a few hours after surgery, which is a really kind thing to do. I am truly grateful for their gentle approach and the time they took to explain the work ahead, and would highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: A VERY HAPPY PATIENT! I was first advised by my dentist at Portner Pittack in autumn 2020 that I had to have a tooth removed, but a combination of Covid and being on Warfarin complicated matters, and so the extraction was delayed to 2022, and the implant treatment only commenced last autumn with the final fitting last week. The staff at the Practice have been very supportive and provided an excellent service throughout. I am extremely grateful, and hence I would strongly recommended the Practice.

Fantastic experience: Portner Pittack is a well-rounded dental practice. In the past 8 months, our family jointly made over a dozen of visits for various dental issues. So we got to meet almost everyone there and were truly impressed with its high standard dental skills and patient care. In specific, I wanted to thank Tajel, who orchestrated a thorough treatment plan that saved my father’s teeth and gum from a worrying state. She gained our trust from the onset, through her genuine care and honest advice. On one occasion, my father’s gum infection flared up and needed emergency support. Despite it being Tajel’s out-of-office day, she followed up almost immediately and worked out a contingency treatment plan with her team. When phoned us, she already had managed to book my father to see Rob on the same day for treating the infection and to see her the following week for a further intervention. We couldn’t thank her enough for that day she turned things around so efficient and unobtrusive, leaving the patient under zero stress.

Jonathan has since retired, and employed the lovely Tajel Patel in his stead. Fantastic experience: I was recommended to see Jonathan as I was a very nervous patient and my teeth were in a very bad state. He spent time reassuring me of how the treatment plan would work. I had several appointments with Regina the Hygienist, who was amazing, before any dentistry could start. I have had 2 intensive appointments and at no time have I felt any pain or the anxiety I normally feel. My teeth and the general health of my mouth has improved enormously . The care taken regarding Covid precautions are of the highest standard and everyone treats you extremely well. I would recommend very highly.

I'm not a fan of dentists it has to be said, because I bad experience from childhood. However there were a few things that are common sense that these guys did like numbing gel in a hygienist appointment - which mean that I wasn't clutching at the arm chair in pain constantly. I subsequently decided to have my teeth straightened and again despite the obvious pain in moving teeth, its been really very good especially in these covid times. If you have any fears, or nervousness, tell them and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend. 5 stars!

The reception staff are fantastic. Even in these COVID times the work goes on as ever I am a local GP and cannot recommend this practise highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Having only been recommended to the practice back in the summer, I have been very impressed with everyone and everything that the practice offers. The reception staff are always bright, cheery and helpful and even though with PPE, I still have yet to fully see some members of the team, they have always been extremely professional in every way possible. My main dealings have been with Rachel, the hygienist, a true delight in the way she explains precisely what she is doing and the treatment she is administering and Jon who even knowing that I am not the most straightforward of patients, has been patient, understanding and also extremely professional in everything he has done. He helped me restore my own confidence in dentist treatment and I have been very impressed with the way he has treated me. I must also mention Wayne Halfpenny who again could not have been any more helpful or professional in the way he treated me. In this most challenging year for so many professions and especially those involved in health, I have no hesitation in recommending this practice.

Everything was completed smoothly and efficiently. Rob was always very punctual, considerate and professional. I trust him to take care of my teeth. I explained to him that I had some dental anxiety (much of which has gone away since I had such positive experiences ... as positive as they can get considering what I needed done!) I also take my three kids to Rob and have had good experiences with them as well. One of my sons has enough adult teeth to start having sealants put on and everything had gone swimmingly. If you need a dentist (which you probably do), go to Rob and his team for all your dental needs ... and I wouldn’t say this lightly since I have high dental standards as my uncle was a dentist and I grew up in North America where there is a high standard of general dentistry. - Lydia

Needless to say, it is a clean surgery with welcoming, professional staff but I can't recommend Jonathan Portner highly enough who is the co-owner of the surgery. He provides best service and impartial advice, always explains the reasons and options clearly. I am still thankful to the person who recommended Jonathan many years ago.

Having previously encountered dental visits that have made me feel uncomfortable and pressured into treatment, Portner Pittack are a breath of fresh air. Fantastic experience: I’m very happy with the practice. The most important thing the cleanliness , I tried several dental practice and it puts me off because there were not clean. Both dentists, Jonathan and Rob are very good. Only the price are expensive, but you can’t have everything under the same roof.

Fantastic experience: Needed another round of root canal work. My local dentist recommended Truda and have now had 2 lots of treatment there. Cannot recommend her highly enough. She put me completely at ease and explained everything well. The treatment necessitates 2 visits, and the only discomfort is the silicon shield needed to stop debris from being swallowed. In fact, I was so relaxed, that I actually dozed off whilst the treatment was being done - no mean feat!! I hardly felt a thing during the procedure and certainly was very well looked after
