Fantastic experience: Came in today to get 3 fillings, had a really positive experience. I will admit I think Dr Akash is quite blunt which can be mistaken for being rude but that wasn’t my experience at all, he did take his time and explain things to me and I felt very comfortable actually. I consider it a bit of tough love - came in, got my fillings and was told about what I should do better so I know for next time. I think if you are extremely nervous maybe visit another dentist but as someone who does get slightly anxious, try your best to put it aside and get your teeth checked, your dental health is important and only gets worse the longer you leave it! :) Thank you so much to the team who saw me (and my husband)

Positive experience: Hi i have been Dr AKASH for over 2 years. With my invisalign treatment, my teeth where not bad at all, just needed some Perfection dua to previous treatment else where. Dr Akash has been amazing through out the treatment, regularly checking up on treatment and progress. Always dealing with my concerns. Has been a wonderful time under his care will also continue to stay for regular 6 month checkups. Thank you for your service.

Fantastic experience: Akash was highly recommended by family who previously seen the dentist for Invisalign. When I had my initial appointment, it came to light I need treatment to treat my gums which could take up to a year. Not the news I wanted to hear. But now its been a year, the treatment and plan worked and I’m ready for Invisalign. I wanted to highlight the fact that I wasn’t sold this right away, it would have been the easier thing to do that but I really appreciated the honesty and advice from Akash. The team are friendly and now my family are visiting Akash even though its quite far for us to travel!

Negative experience: Found this dentist rude and untruthful. Spent less than 3 mins taking X-rays and checking teeth. And then being told that I can’t clean my teeth properly and to pay another £70 for a hygienist! Didn’t do any dental cleaning whatsoever even though entitled to under the NHS and was told it’s because I have advanced gum disease. Turned out that was untrue when I saw another dentist and he also failed to point out that I have tooth decay and my new dentist kindly referred me to the hospital. This practice is clearly interested in money more than patient care. Avoid at all costs!

Negative experience: Did not have a great experience, maybe as it was free (maternity exemption).. First time when I went for assessment, Dr did not bother introducing himself. For treatment, he didn’t ask me if I had any allergies and just started giving me anaesthetic injections. I was given injection at 3 sites although I had only 2 fillings. So one injection was for nothing! I was made to sign the form which said 3 fillings although only 2 were done which I confirmed. The injections were given at 11:30 and i couldn’t eat or drink anything even after 5 hours. He did not bother telling me that this will be the case. He was in a rush even though I was the only patient at clinic.

Both got me sorted and booked in for my next appointment within the week. Feel a lot more reassured and hopeful of my treatment.

Fantastic experience: Best Dentist In Birmingham - I feel so lucky to have found this dentist, Reece and the team are fantastic. I’ve never felt so comfortable at a practice. The work is spot on, I’ve had a few fillings recently and I was worried about how they’d look but Reece made sure they were done to the best of his ability whilst maintaining my smile. The reception team and dental assistants are also welcoming. Would highly recommend, 5 star!

Fantastic experience: After spend 15 to 20 years with worn down front teeth and a serious phobia of dental work i finally bit the bullet and booked an appointment at dental123. As with most things having come through the other side I am now not sure why I had built up so much anxiety. Dr Minhas was great at putting me at ease and explaining the different procedures I needed. I’m now the proud owner of new front teeth and will be building back up a lot of lost confidence. Staff are great, bookings, prices and telephone conversations are all straight forward. Suffice to say I highly recommend this dental surgery. Thank you Dr Minhas and co!

Negative experience: Horrendous experience with this dentist, first time visiting this practice as my previous one sadly retired. I have really bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist and yet the dr wasnt taking that on board. My gums arent in great shape and he was very rude about that kept telling me that i have bad gums like he was making fun of me, he was rushing around and insting on treatment. I felt so uncomfortable! I felt like he treated me badly since im nhs and i get free dental treatment due to just giving birth. Honestly so disappointed. Definitely not coming back!!

Negative experience: Awful. Booked an emergency appointment which was £65 (fine) dentist seemed in a rush, which didn’t fill me with confidence. He did some X-rays but failed to tell me that would be an extra charge. Receptionist has a bad attitude. Was willing to be a paying customer, however due to those factors I will go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Have been with Daniel since he started the practice. My wife and I would not go anywhere else, Daniel is an excellent and caring dentist. Only a small practice but excellent service from Daniel and his dental nurse Sarah.

Negative experience: I had an examination last week which went fine. Dentist was efficient and fixed my broken filling quite quickly (even though the anaesthetic injection was painful compared to previous experience) But my hygienist appointment today was less than satisfactory. The hygienist was late and when I entered the room, I felt that they were rushed and unprepared. I was told by the dentist that there are any big issues other than some staining. Hygienist and assistant got to cleaning. The assistant was clearly in experience, holding the tube at such an angle that strained the side of my mouth so much I had to stop the cleaning. Despite the tube, the water still dripped all the way down to my hair which had never happened before during a clean. The job was rushed and painful. My gums are still sensitive from the inattentive rushed clean. Clean wasnt very thorough either. I didn’t want to say anything because I just wanted to get out of there and didn’t want them to “fix” and cause more pain.

Negative experience: Went to this dentist receptionist very abrupt. Dentist removed tooth as he said crown couldn’t be repaired. Contacted twice due to three weeks later having swollen gum where tooth was extracted. And no they didn’t even have the decency to get back to me. Should have known when the dentist said he had time to extract my tooth without a previous appointment. No I don’t recommend. Service unprofessional went to an emergency dentist who said shouldn’t have removed tooth on first visit. Still suffering 3weeks later

Fantastic experience: I cannot express the level of efficency and professionalism I experienced whilst here. Everyone was kind, competent and made me feel at ease from examination to post scan recommendations. I look forward to my next few appointments to finally fix my missing tooth and feel comfortable smiling as I used to.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited dental surgery (Dentist in Harborne) for a teeth cleaning and also got a whitening kit. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, professional, and made me feel at ease throughout the appointment. The cleaning was thorough, and I was given helpful advice on how to use the whitening kit effectively. I’m really happy with the results and would definitely recommend them!

Negative experience: I went to the clinic on March 26th to have a dental crown attached. The total cost for the appointment and treatment was 140 pounds. However, the crown fell off on March 29th. I believe this is a quality of service issue and requested a refund. Surprisingly, the front desk staff claimed that they had informed me in advance that the duration of the attachment was uncertain, and that the crown falling off after only four days was my own fault and had nothing to do with their treatment. They refused to offer any compensation. I find this response extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. I followed all the doctor's instructions throughout the process, refraining from using the side with the crown for the first 24 hours and avoiding hard foods afterwards. I paid you for your service, and you have an obligation to fix my tooth properly. Is it not outrageous that it only lasted four days? Moreover, I think you did not adequately inform me that the treatment was only temporary, leading me to believe it would last for a long time. This gives me the impression that you only wanted my money and were not at all responsible. During this period, I sent you an email, but received no response. Later, when I called to follow up, you said you would reply this week, but still haven't. It was a very bad experience! I have decided to file a complaint with the official authority.

Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience with the receptionist today. I Just phoned them to arrange an appointment for my routine checkup but, I was spoken to rudely and even given an unnecessary warning for no reason. After that she cancelled my appointment. As a patient, I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure a better experience for future patients.

Positive experience: I’ve been using this dentist for 30 years and loved the service until recently. We paid £4000 for Invisalign, on the final appointment the young male dentist overcharged my wife £350 on additional retainers (most other dentists online give these as part of the treatment) we raised concerns about this on a recent visit however nothing was done.

Negative experience: I’m genuinely surprised by all the 5-star reviews for this clinic—they must be paid, as my experience was nothing like that. The current dentist, Dr. Akash Minhas, is highly unprofessional and rude. He seems more focused on making money than providing proper care. The filling he did for me fell out the same day, and he charged an outrageous £320 clearly overcharged for a mouthguard that probably cost £15. On my today's visit, instead of fixing the issue, he trimmed my teeth, which has now caused increased sensitivity. To make matters worse, he charged me again for this inadequate service. Previous filling done by a lady dentist at the same clinic lasted over two years without any problems. I will never return to this place and strongly advise others to avoid it at all costs. I plan to file a formal complaint with the GDC. You’ve been warned .

Fantastic experience: Amazing dentist! The whole staff is so welcoming, polite and genuine! I’ve felt at ease on both of my 2 times of visiting since I signed up. I also want to take time to appreciate all the information I have been given with regards to aftercare which answered all my questions. The whole dentistry cabinet has a great overall ambiance as well, with meditative music and imagery. I was incredibly happy to get quick appointments too!

Negative experience: Had my teeth cleaning done today with Dr. Akash Minhas GDC number:177085 and it was the worst teeth cleaning ever. He just done the 3 tooth in a front and didn’t do the rest! He didn’t even do it properly for those 3. It took less than 5 minutes!! Teeth Cleaning appointment should be for all tooth isn’t it?! I know it’s sounds unbelievable, I can’t believe it too. I’m on nhs and nhs pays you for my treatment, shame on you Dr akash Minhas. I will definitely report this to nhs. This one star is only for receptionist , Hygienist, and other staffs cos they’re friendly. But other than that stay away from Dr akash Minhas. * Update the review on 30/ OCt/2024 * Still no one contacted me from the clinic, they didn’t apologise and they didn’t provide alternative appointment to fix their mistake! Fantastic experience: I took my teenage autistic son (as well as other disabilities). The dentist he saw was amazing. He was really patient with my son. He let my son know what he was going to do and how. He encouraged my son but did not pressurise him,which was so important as pressuring him would have put fear in him to never see a dentist ever again. I highly recommend this dentist. If you do have any worries just speak to him before appointment which is what I did.
