Negative experience: I never sleep well the night before having my teeth cleaned due to how scared I am of the dentist. I spent 30mins of my time and fuel money this morning to only be told that I am now unable to have my plaque removed because I haven't had a check up. It was embarrassing to say that I don't have enough money to also pay to have a check up so they refunded my hygienist appointment and my plaque remains. Disappointing.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to. When I told James of my fear of dental treatment due to a traumatic experience when I was young, he went out of his way to make me comfortable. I had been in severe pain for months with a dental abscess and was too scared to get treatment and was terrified before my first visit. But everything was so calm and my fear wasn’t ignored or cast aside as had been with previous dentists. When I finally agreed to an extraction, James talked me through everything and the dental nurse was so calming and lovely throughout. I really appreciated the lengths they both went to in order to get me through the treatment. Update*** 2 years later: Two years on from my first review and I found myself in the same situation again with an infected tooth. Since my last appt I’d been diagnosed with PTSD following a serious car accident and my dental phobia was really at its worst. Like last time James was brilliant. He had a dental nurse with him who was so caring and calm. She offered to hold my hand and helped me focus on my breathing throughout. She was an absolute gem. Brilliant dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I visited the dentist on 26/11/2019 for a routine 6 month checkup. My dentist called me in to his surgery exactly on my appointment time and he introduced himself and also his dental nurse. It was the first time I had seen this dentist and found him to be very friendly indeed. The examination was thorough and thankfully I did not need any further treatment. I have been a patient at this practice for many years and have always had first class treatment. Highly recommended.

They took their time and didn't rush and I had no pain what so every with my treatment. I have never been to a dentist who has made me feel positive coming out of there. Let's not forget the reception staff. Very informative and polite. I've already booked to go again and signed up for their membership plan. One very happy customer.

Fantastic experience: An infected tooth caused a great deal of swelling and distress. After a course of antibiotics to relieve the swelling, Church Street removed the tooth. The procedure was quick, sympathetic and completely painless. Thankyou so much for an excellent service.

Just finished with my Cfast braces and I cannot be happier with the results! All the staff I’ve come across are so friendly! Negative experience: Was really disappointed with my experience of booking Botox here. I was expecting it to be done on the day only to be told I would need a total of 3 appointments before this could be done Lost faith in the consultants ability after being told he would need to send my photos to another colleague for his advice on dermal filler areas. I've always been called in, and treated, on time. My appointments with Dr James have been in a relaxed and reassuring atmosphere and treatments have been explained in detail in advance of the appointment where a care plan is composed. I've also received help at short notice for urgent work. The practice is always perfectly clean. Due to my trust in their services, I would highly recommend Church Street Dental Practice and I'm grateful for all their help.

Positive experience: I had a fair amount of work done at Chrurch Street recently - a general check-up followed by necessary root-canal filling, and a crown on a badly broken tooth. The service I received was first rate, with everyone being most helpful, friendly and efficient; the only 'down side' was that the treatment was spread across many weeks and, at one stage, an additional delay was imposed "due to covid"(!); I strongly suspect that someone was 'pinged', and may not have had a problem at all - such is the scourge of allowing a whole nation to be controlled by an app!! At a more recent routine check-up I found the service equally efficient, and up to date with 'covid regulation'; a negative lateral flow test was required before the visit, and they were happy to see the used test-equipment as proof. My appointment was precisely on time, and Neil Wilson gave my teeth a thoroughly good scale and polish.

Negative experience: Went for an emergency appointment on Tuesday, awful experience! Just put a temporary filling in my tooth that didn't do anything to ease the pain that I'm still currently suffering from. Just felt like she couldn't wait to get me out of there.

Negative experience: great reception , but thats where my good experience ended . Dentist was rough giving the two injections and had my head too low in the chair ! so i was gaging all the time .........did tell her but she lowed the back of the seat even lower then raised it back to where it was in the beginning ,so NO inprovement . Not impressed .
