Fantastic experience: Back in the first Lockdown in 2020 my wife and I encountered problems with our teeth and contacted our usual suspects ( Dentists ), however, they were refusing to organise any dentistry and referred to our GPs for antibiotics, painkillers. The whole situation totally unacceptable to us and myself being a Podiatrist finding the excuses unbelievable considering the science, statistics and risks in including duty of care with ethical Service providers. However, a very good friend of ours recommended Brickstables Dental & Implant Clinic which we contacted immediately to find the most wonderful welcome and speedy appointment service. Thereafter, the advice, treatment received from Francois and Willem was definitely the best we both ever had in all our dentistry experienced throughout our lives. Also, Shawna in reception and Christine the Practice Manager are two of the most inventive, emphatic and rewarding young ladies in making one feel 100 percent in receiving treatment, paying your bill and looking forward to another appointment in this great environment. Yes we have been living with the constant threat of Covid 19, but this Practice has developed great Infection protocols which work so effective and you feel very safe in their hands. Therefore, my wife and I now feel so positive we have found such a wonderful and very caring team of great professional people working in the art of Dental treatment, its inspirational.

Fantastic experience: Like some, I am petrified of the dentist due to a bad childhood experience. My front tooth brock off so I called Brickstables and they fitted me in the next day. All I can say is Dr Francois Rossouw is a dental magician, absolutely fantastic. I didn't need an implant as Francois used the top of my broken tooth as a fixing to put in the new tooth which he made whilst I sat in the chair. He also tidied the teeth either side of the new tooth. It took no more than 30 minuets from start to finish to give me a SMILE. I can't wait to have the other side of my teeth done now. I was worried how much it was going to cost but it was £239.00 and I didn't have to get on a plane to Turkey like my family suggested. Thank you Francois and your amazing team at the clinic.

Not only is his expertise, professional, painless holistic approach been amazing but his guidance to make the right decisions for my and my families dental work. For over 30 year Dr Francois Rossouw and his amazing team have looked after myself I am an athlete, bodybuilder and personal trainer and my 25 year old daughter who is a singer and actor. Dr Francois treatment transformed my daughter’s face, jaw and teeth after my daughter experienced locking jaw and a misaligned jaw. After expert treatment over many months my daughter was totally and completely perfect, jaw click gone, jaw alignment all perfect. Fantastic experience: I have absolute confidence in my dentist (Jess) which is most important. I've never had any reason to return due to new work carried out. It's mostly pain free and when treatment is a little more involved, care is taken to make it as pleasant as possible. The fact that the environment is relaxed and team professional and friendly is certainly a nice bonus. Prices are not cheap but I would say they are well positioned within the service offered. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful practice with super friendly staff. Really easy to get an appointment and very little waiting time. My appointments are almost always right on time. The quality of work for cleaning and treatment is great.

Positive experience: A clean and well presented practice. However, unfortunately, after enquiring about a single dental implant and being given an approximate figure, I booked a consultation (at cost), to receive a quote that was several thousand pounds more than the original estimate (for one tooth). It’s a lovely looking practice, but such a difference between anticipated cost and the final quote is unjustified.

Fantastic experience: An excellent service could not have been better.

Negative experience: I was diagnosed by Francois Rossouw last year with tooth grinding. He told me I needed a night guard. He charged me £500 for fitting it. When it was fitted he told me the problems would be resolved in a few days. He gave no indications that there could be any issues with using a night guard. After 2 weeks I was in so much pain I had to stop using it. It is now 8 months later and I am still in terrible pain. This man has ruined my life.

Fantastic experience: I have spent plenty of time in a dentist chair over the years so I feel I have enough experience in this case to pass on the experience I received at this Dental & Implant Clinic. Firstly, the welcome you receive is excellent. All the Office staff I have had communication with, in person or electronically has been 1st class. The hygienist I have seen a few times is very friendly, knowledgeable and takes great care to complete a very thorough job. Dr Francios Rossouw is the best dentist I have visited. I don’t think I have met anyone who is as passionate and knowledgeable about their craft. Always as gentle as possible. Whilst I was there last there was another dentist viewing my treatment and they mentioned at the time it is wonderful to watch Francios carry out his craft. All in all I can’t recommend them enough. My whole family have moved to this clinic. Thanks you for everything.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dentist, my partner needed emergency treatment the day before Good Friday, I rang very last minute for him and the lovely receptionist got the dentist to stay open for a little longer just so we had enough time to get there and my partner be seen. The dentist and receptionist went above and beyond to help with his pain. I highly recommend this place.

I was in so much pain with an infection, my phone call on Saturday night was returned in a very short time and I was given an 8am appointment on Sunday morning. Francois was excellent, put me at ease and treated me without pain, so kind and efficient, not forgetting Christine who is so lovely and puts you at ease right away Excellent treatment.

Fantastic experience: Like most people, my experience with dentists has been up and down over the years. However, Brickstables really sits a head and shoulders above many other practices I’ve been to. The environment was calm and welcoming. I was made to feel at ease by all of the staff that I met. The team seem to work well together and enabled me to have a smooth initial consultation despite having my two little children with me. I really appreciate the effort that the team went to you ensuring that my children were calm and relax throughout my consultation. I was impressed by the care and attention, as well as the detail explained by Francois in my consultation. I would highly recommend. Was worth the wait.

Negative experience: Shocking. Never answer phone, relying on the answer phone. Pay hundreds of pounds and don't get a service I've paid for. Waiting months for a simply dental plan. Really gone down hill.

Filled in the contact request form and was instantly contacted which actually caught me be surprise after having to constantly call other practices non stop to be told they couldn’t help. I had a bridge fall out last week and went to another practice to get it fixed, the tooth fell out within a few hours, which is why I reverted to this practice. The receptionist was very friendly and easy to talk to and understanding of the urgency that I felt with this issue. They tried to fit me in on the same day which no other dentist would do, but unfortunately I had work commitments so had to take another appointment date. The look of the dentist inside and outside is lovely and gives a nice homely feeling unlike your other casual dentists. The reception staff were very efficient, showing us around the building to make sure we knew where everything was. I had Amy as my dentist and she was lovely and easy to talk to. As soon as the tooth was back in, it instantly felt better than the last practice who put it back on, and most importantly it’s still in after eating unlike the other time :) If you’re thinking about going to this dentist, don’t think twice, they are trustworthy and friendly! I can’t thank them enough for their quick and efficient service!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service, polite and friendly staff who are always willing to help and answer questions. I have never experienced late service, as all of my appointments have been on time. Kate is a great hygienist with a lovely bedside manner. Amy is also brilliant at explaining things - both are a credit to the team.

Even when my son got a little upset about having to wear braces. We are very excited to get both our treatments going. The whole team were amazing and outstanding. After having a routine check up at my old dentist and him filling it very badly I unfortunately had 3 days of pain excruciating pain I was so scared of going back to the dentist that I had put it off after speaking to a very good friend of mine who uses brickstables she recommended them to me so I thought there was no harm in giving it a go after she highly recommended them I gave them a call and I can honestly say it was the best decision I made from the moment I walked in and was greeted by friendly staff members who instantly put me at ease the receptionist showed me to the waiting room which is a lounge so very comfortable with amazing views I was then showed up to the Dentist room and was greeted by dr Francois Rossouw Who again put me instantly at ease and reassured me he talked me through step-by-step what he was doing and constantly asked if I was okay it was his kind manner and obvious knowledge of what he was doing that reassured me even more I left the practice and within two hours I was completely pain free. I honestly cannot recommend this practice enough the staff the knowledge just everything is absolutely outstanding and I would like to take this opportunity to Thank everyone at brickstables

Negative experience: Perhaps I was unlucky, but the reality didn't live up to the hype I'm afraid. The first dentist I saw was somewhat lacking in empathy, which was disappointing as I had made it clear I was a nervous patient. I was given the distinct impression that they were doing me a favour by even treating me. Then having asked to swap to a different dentist within the practice, my next appointment was made for the wrong month; causing me to have a wasted journey, petrol and time. Suffice to say I have registered elsewhere now and will not be returning- I expect higher standards from a private only practice, otherwise what am I paying for?

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Brickstables enough. I had tooth pain this week and I tried calling my own dentist in Colchester and couldn't even get through. I tried 3 other dentists who either didn't answer, weren't interested in helping or couldn't see me for months. I left a message with Christine at Brickstables on the emergency line and received a call back nearly straight away. I was helped by Shauna who was absolutely superb. She's an absolute delight to speak to. So knowledgeable, very informative and in my opinion goes above and beyond with the information she provides. I was treated by Francois and Amy (hygienist) who were incredibly understanding, non-judgemental and informative and within an hour despite only having an emergency appointment booked I was all sorted, treated and on my way. I've already got a new patient/check up booked for December. They've now gained a new registered patient and it has been such a relief to find a caring and understanding practice with excellent service from all staff. Thank you so much!

We have been using Francois and his team for many years and from the minute the phone is answered to the minute you leave you genuinely feel cared for. My son has had 10 years of life changing orthodontic work and the transformation is truly breathtaking. First class and won’t beaten. Setting the standard of what can be achieved.

Fantastic experience: I had a chipped tooth repaired. The result was excellent. Both the dentist and dental nurse were friendly, welcoming and thoroughly professional. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

Negative experience: I have been with you for few years now and i got used to what to expect, so I was surprised to find out that the hygienist prices went up from £55 to £66, considering that situation we live in it felt a bit unfair but it’s ok, things go up. But on the day of the appointment instead of having my teeth cleaned with the ultrasonic device I was welcomed with a manual cleaning and when I queried I was told that I the client will have to be charged further to compensate for the additional PPE that the hygienist will have to wear, this is just utter nonsense, the hygienist was already wearing goggles, visor, face mask and gloves what more PPE was she meant to wear? And Hazmat suit? I am very disappointed and seriously considering moving to another dentist.

Positive experience: I haven’t had anything done yet except X-rays. My wife comes here as well and is always very pleased.

Fantastic experience: My experience with previous dentists had left me very nervous but after coming to see Willem at Brickstables , that is a thing of the past. He has been very patient , kind , reassuring and very gentle during the procedures I have had done. Making sure at all times I am ok and not feeling any discomfort. All the other staff have been so friendly too and so easy to talk to. Everyone has been very patient , especially when I keep asking questions as I like to know what is going on when I’m in the dentists chair. Whilst some of the procedures I had done seemed scary to me at first , ( veneers , bone graft and titanium implant ) the end result is that I now have been given back my smile. Thanks to the skill and professionalism shown to me , I am so happy to smile without worry now and that means so much to me. I have now decided to continue having all my dental appointments in the future at Brickstables. Thank you everyone who works there.
