Fantastic experience: I have attended Regency House Dental Practice for many years and have been made welcome by all members of staff. Dr Barley is a very kind and caring dentist, and attending is not at all stressful.

Fantastic experience: Chris Barley and his team have looked after my teeth for 8 years following an emergency procedure due to a fault at another dental practice. I've since had multiple procedures and teeth straightened from Regency House and have never been happy with my teeth.

Fantastic experience: Dr Chris Barley holds an old school moral standing when it comes to dentistry ( albeit with modern dentistry tools) ; an honest preservative dentistry. After other dentists suggested major work, caps, crowns and all sorts Chris was able to fix the problem with minimal invasiveness. I found his style honest and meticulous and his maner relaxed and accomodating. Highly recommmended !

Fantastic experience: Further to my review of two years ago, Regency House Dental Practice continues to go from strength to strength with an Oral Health Educator complementing the excellent work of the Dentists and Hygienists. I have found the oral health sessions very beneficial and changes to my cleaning routine have brought about a significant improvement in the condition of my teeth.

Fantastic experience: The Regency House Dental Practice is staffed by people who take great pride in offering a professional. courteous and friendly service. As soon as you walk through the door you are warmly welcomed and invited to go to the waiting room. Here you can read today's Times, take a cup of good coffee from a variety of pods and listed to music on the Pure radio. The soft pastel coloured walls are decorated with stunning photographs taken by one of the dentists, while the relaxing atmosphere is enhanced by the scent from the aromatherapy diffuser. The dental nurse then accompanies you to the treatment room. Not only do you receive first rate clinical treatment, but additional medical checks such as feeling lymph nodes for any abnormalities and checking jawbone movement. I see lying in the chair not as an ordeal to be endured, but rather a chance in the day to completely relax. I have often almost completely "nodded off" during treatment! I have been a patient at this practice since it originally opened and have always been delighted with the treatrment. I have no hesitation in recommending the practice to new patients.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience. The team are very knowledgeable and answer all questions with unbiased advice to improve my tooth care. They make my children feel comfortable, who used to be nervous about the dentist, and they are now happy to see Josh and team with no fuss.

Fantastic experience: I started using Regency House after having a bad experience with my local NHS practice and I'm super glad I did. I've always been wary of the dentist and injections and Dr Hadley is always happy to wait extra time for the anaesthetic to work and accommodate me. I couldn't recommend them enough. All of the staff have always been polite and I would recommend them to anyone, especially anyone who may have previously been scared of the dentist!

Fantastic experience: Regency house dental is in the centre of town, by the bus hub. The staff are friendly and helpful, and you don't end up waiting long for appointments after arrival. We've been registered there for about three years now. Josh is a very friendly, attentive dentist and Julija is the most reassuring and careful hygienist I've ever seen.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Barley now for 20 years or so and value his professionalism and that of his team. Dr Barley will only recommend work which really needs doing and this is very important as some dentists seem to view their patients as 'cash cows'. Their charges are fair and reasonable and the quality of the work is excellent. Dr Barley will take time to explain things to you and I almost look forward to going to the dentist!

I recently had a dental extraction with Josh which I was really nervous about. He was great. It was painless and done in no time, couldn’t believe how quick it was. Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for 6 years and love it! It’s really central and easy to bolt on a check up with errands in town- ample parking too. My dental cover is with Bupa and Regency House Dental Practice have been really supportive with sending additional documentation over required for me to submit my claims that I merrily walked out without. Most favourably, I’ve been on the cusp of requiring a filling for several years now, and I fear other dentists would readily do the work and charge for it, but I’m reassured that they’re hanging on and leaving alone for as long as it isn’t causing me discomfort.

Chris makes you feel so at ease that visiting the dentist is actually a pleasurable experience for me now. The female hygienists are lovely too and always provide information and tips on how to properly brush your teeth!

Fantastic experience: The staff are always extremely friendly, helpful and professional. During treatments the dentist/hygienist always explain clearly what they are doing to put me at ease and alleviate any of my irrational concerns. I am able to book appointments regularly and without issue. My children also feel comfortable and at ease visiting Dr Barley which is a huge positive.

Negative experience: Consistently unable to honour their appointments with an utterly incompetent receptionist. They think it’s fair I paid £190 in direct debits for 2 appointments instead of the contractually obliged four. They may well respond to this saying they offered further appointments but what’s the point when they are cancelled on the day. I miss the days of Dr Powell.

Always very polite and give a thorough examination and Hygienist is also thorough. Free samples given this time and help with flossing using TePe brushes. Very friendly staff and seen on time. Always look forward to 6 monthly appointments!

Fantastic experience: My 10 year old daughter has recently had 4 teeth removed in preparation for braces. I cannot praise Julia Harris enough, she was so calming at a time when my daughter needed it the most! The extractions were smoother than I could have ever imagined - my daughter had paracetamol as the anaesthetic wore off but that was it! The pain of the braces is a much bigger deal to her than the teeth being removed which in itself shows just how great a job Julia did :-) I would recommend to anyone :-)

Fantastic experience: I have recently finished my Invisalign treatment at Regency House Dental to straighten my teeth and I am absolutely over the moon with the results. I really recommend this treatment for anyone who feels a bit self-conscious about their smile - I used to really hate being in photos but now I can't stop grinning! It's crazy how quick the results are. The whole process was made easy from the Invisalign information day to the monthly check ups. Chris was very meticulous and made sure that I was 100% happy with each stage. So a big thank you to Chris and the lovely reception team too!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for many years now and have had some great work carried out. Teeth whitening was very effective, followed by eroded teeth being thichened and extended by the 'Daal' treatment which was recommended and carried out by Dr C Barley. The change to having separate hygenist and dental appointments means that I receive a thorough clean twice a year, along with tips and guidance on how to improve my brushing and cleansing techniques for best results. Not a single complaint to make after 10 years of being a patient.

My Dentist, Dr Barley is exceptionally welcoming, and always takes time to explain procedures and treatment options. The surgeries and waiting areas are clean and tidy, and the modern equipment being used indicates that there is plenty of investment in modern dental technologies.

Fantastic experience: Helpful and friendly staff, as is the service, it is open late some days so that helps if you can't get time of work , it's primarily a private dental clinic, so expect some large bills, so would recommend you have some sort of dental insurance/payment plan. The only other thing is that there is next to no parking and what there is, is pay and display.

I’ve always received friendly and efficient service, and when I have needed to see a dentist at short notice they have always managed to fit me in. The dental plans are affordable and Dr Barley is always very thorough and makes time to have a chat. It’s great to be able to book check ups on Saturdays or very early in the morning.
