Fantastic experience: * Updated 20/11/25 Such a good dental practice. I have been attending this dentist since lockdown and have always been treated with kindness and respect by every single staff member I have ever encountered there. I have always ground my teeth and this has caused many dental issues throughout my life. Octavian Gheorgheoiu, my dentist here, pointed out just how ground down my teeth had become and shared with me various options as to how this could be managed… From the very simple, cheapest options of just carrying on continuing on with patching me up as we go along through to the options of both composite or porcelain crowns and veneers. There was no hard sell… no sell at all actually… and it was my choice to metaphorically bite the bullet and choose 16 porcelain crowns and veneers to be fitted over several months. It wasn’t a simple process. At times it was tough, involving long appointments and a lot of local anaesthetic and drilling.. not pleasant but not painful either… then needing to depend on temporary crowns and veneers, for weeks rather than days, until the final product was ready. The care and guidance I received throughout this process was excellent though. I wasn’t rushed and was always taken seriously and treated with the upmost dignity and respect. I didn’t want very bright white teeth as I’m older and just wanted a very natural looking finished look that was strong enough to resist my persistent tooth grinding. Even though I did feel overwhelmed at times during this process, I have never felt any regrets… any complications that arose were always dealt with as a priority and always responded to calmly and professionally with the minimum of fuss.. which helped me in managing my own anxiety. Now it’s all finally completed I am so very happy and grateful for the outcome… please see my before and after photos to see just how natural looking the finished result is. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Thank you for giving me my smile back.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to see the hygienist at Highcliffe dental care after my 6month check up. And wow what a difference. I have receeding gums and plaque had built up on the backs on my teeth. I was seen by a wonderful hygienist called Lycyna and the dental nurse Libby. I was dreading the appointment as i have sensitive teeth, but Lucyna was so gentle and made me feel at ease. Libby was a fantastic nurse and so friendly. My teeth are back to being spotlessly clean and I am very grateful. Thank you so much Lucyna. I can highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: OK, So yesterday was my 2nd filling In 40 years, and from what I can remember I had no injections or gas. Ack then, so this was a first for me. Dr Octavian and his nurse were very reassuring and made me feel slightly less concerned , I was never relaxed, but it went very well. At times I felt like I was being waterboarded as water billed up in my throat, but a good swallow fixed it and it did not put off or upset Octavian . Things went well , just a numb lower jaw , which is something different . Anyway things are feeling a bit more normal now and the filling is hardly noticeable, just a little sensitive, but I’m sure that will disappear over time. I’m very happy with the service I received and the results, I would recommend Highcliffe Dental Care. But having not been to a dentist for 6 years I am shocked by the price, I will however be going there for my future appointment as I’m very happy with the service that I received

The dentist (Dr Octavian Gheorgheoiu) carried out a very thorough check-up, explained everything clearly, and also discussed Invisalign with me as an option for straightening my teeth. I felt no pressure — just helpful, honest advice about what treatment would suit me best. The receptionist (Carolina Aguiar) were lovely and friendly, the practice is clean and I left feeling reassured and well-informed. A great first experience, and I’m looking forward to continuing my treatment here.

I telphoned the dental surgery to say I was running late, The receptionist changed my hygiene appointment from 10.30 to 12.30. Fantastic experience: HDC treated my mother during several sessions of an hour or so. She is 80 and suffers from dementia. By allowing her carer to be in the appointments with her made her comfortable. HDC also used the downstairs treatment rooms especially so she didn't have to tackle the stairs.

Fantastic experience: A last minute appointment for both hygenist and checkup. I usually have them done a couple of weeks apart as my gums are really sensitive and sore after the hygenist session. However, I today had a lovely hygenist (from Co Kerry) who was so so gentle. Thumbs up to her! My dentist was also superb, suggesting future work that could be done to improve an existing tooth filled with amalgam, when I could afford it and without the heavy sell. Going to the Dentist is never fun but they both endeavoured to make it OK. (I will take up his suggestion in the near future).

Fantastic experience: I don't think I have ever had such a positive experience with a dentist before. I went to doctor Octavian Gheorgheoiu with a really bad tooth condition after my NHS dentist gave me a filling that left me with an awful pain since February and refused to take me for another appointment without saying why. Doctor Octavian really tried to save my tooth, he did a root canal and kept checking on me afterwards. He even took the time to check about another unrelated health condition with me and showed so much empathy. The treatment unfortunately was not successful due to my tooth being in such a bad condition due to the previous dentist's neglect, so I asked for it to be extracted. I went for the extraction yesterday and it was so fast and quick and honestly painless. I am now feeling so much better and really happy with the outcome. Doctor Octavian did not even charge me for the extraction!!! Amazing dentist, really nice staff as well, and so much empathy and care. I remember when I first called to register and spoke to their receptionist, Abby, was so pleasant to speak with, so lovely and positive which immediately drew me to proceed with Highcliffe Dental Care. I really really recommend going to Dr. Octavian Gheorgheoiu if you are thinking about getting anything done with your teeth. He's genuinely a really good doctor. I'm very grateful.

Fantastic experience: As a layman it's difficult to assess the merits of individual dentists. However I'm of the view that Deivis Baltrusaitis is probably the best I've ever encountered. (I'm now in my 70's and have always received regular treatment)

Fantastic experience: I hate dentists; it's nothing personal (with one exception), it's a generic hatred. Update; I hate all dentists, except for Deivis at Highcliffe Dental Care. Last week I booked an appointment and had my first visit and treatment for 15 years. All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and didn't hurt me. And, I enjoyed it so much I'm going back again this month for appointment number two (two of six - what did you expect after 15 years !?)
