Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with this practice. I needed to book an appointment to get s retainer fixed ASAP but also I have strange work hours, and they found time for me within the next week. The orthodontist was very friendly and professional, her assistant was also really nice and helpful. I paid for the emergency appointment in advance and didn't need to pay anything extra. Went home with my problem fixed and an X-ray that I can use in case I need to visit a dentist again this year.

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent dental practice that I have been using for over 20 years. The dentists are amazing and treatment is exceptional, modern, and painless. I especially recommend Jose Hervas (Hygienist) who is meticulous and knowledgeable about oral health and managing dental disease. I have had a number of cosmetic treatments, including whitening and replacing amalgam fillings. All the work is excellent and performed with high skill and care. I would recommend the practice to nervous patients.

Fantastic experience: Visited today as a new patient at this practice and I was not disappointed. As someone with very high-level anxiety, I was made to feel so comfortable and at ease. Dr Kenneth Lawty is an esteemed dentist who works with you to approach your dental goals in a friendly yet professional manner. Very flexible and understanding with setting up appointments that work around your commitments and overall I was so comfortable I left smiling! Would never go anywhere else again now! 10/10

Negative experience: We chose this dental practice based on the pricing quoted during our initial phone inquiry. The receptionist, Chloe, informed us that the initial consultation would cost £70 and the mouthguard would be around £200. She also mentioned that the Michigan splint may vary but would be around the same price. At no point was it clarified that the cost "started from" £200. However, after my partner's consultation, we were told that the total cost for the mouthguard would be £390—almost double the quoted price. When we tried to confront them about this discrepancy, the staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unapologetic. They showed no regard for customer service and insisted on charging the higher amount, despite the false information we had been given. This lack of transparency and the unprofessional attitude of the staff left us feeling frustrated and misled. Patients should not be deceived with inaccurate estimates, only to be hit with hidden costs later. Based on this experience, we would strongly advise others to avoid this practice.

I’m someone who was terrified of the dentist but he has a different way of working to any other hygienist I’ve seen, so I am now relaxed and comfortable during my appointments. He is so thorough and patient and gives such specific and detailed advice on how to take care of your teeth in between visits

Fantastic experience: I had Invisalign treatment done at the High Street Dental Clinic and the service provided is excellent, I have nothing but positive things to say about everyone who works here. If you are looking for a dentist in central Bristol look no further.

Fantastic experience: I had a filling repair on three of my teeth at another clinic on 5th July. As my bite was off, and the other clinic didn't have availability for a further adjustment (which was on 6th July) any time soon, I needed help from another clinic. I felt very lucky that Dr Jorge A Hontoria was available at this clinic at the time I needed this (14th July). I was able to see the new patient availability in the online calendar which was very helpful. The communication with the receptionists was great and they helped me arrive after riding my bike in the rain. I have found Dr Hontoria's genuine welcome encouraging. He did an initial assessment and then he tested my bite with an articulation paper. He got exactly the result which corresponded to my perception (I didn't tell him beforehand the details of my discomfort). It was amazing that he confirmed with an objective method what needed to be improved. It meant I didn't have to justify myself that the improvement was needed. This was important to me because at the other clinic, after my first adjustment, I was told to wait and see how I get on, despite I indicated right after getting up from the treatment chair that my bite is not 100% right yet. Dr Hontoria did the adjustment and at the end he let me stand up and test my bite with a self-test. I felt a big difference compared to the previous bite. Upon my question, whether he would do further adjustments if needed (it didn't feel like it would be needed at that moment) he confirmed that he would book me in when available. I have found it helpful that he sent a note to the reception indicating the price and duration of a possible further adjustment. This way I knew what to expect. On the way home I felt like more of myself. If you haven't needed an adjustment after a filling you might not imagine how big difference a right bite can mean. Before this adjustment, my bite felt like running on concrete as opposed to grass. I couldn't really feel whether the rice or lentil is cooked enough when biting in. At certain times of the day and when laying in bed I felt discomfort. When my jaws met it was tighter than comfortable. I avoided keeping my upper and lower teeth meeting because it didn't feel right. I researched on the internet and found that it is very important to get an adjustment. Otherwise, if a filling is set too high, it can cause an uneven bite, which can cause tooth pain, tooth hypersensitivity, and headaches. Also, when one or more teeth touch down before the others when you bite, those teeth receive more pressure. That extra pressure can cause tenderness around the tooth’s root and lead to painful inflammation.

Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend High Street Dental Clinic enough. I have finished my Invisalign with Jon who did an amazing job and I am very happy with the results. He is very knowledgeable and puts you at ease. Treatment prices are very reasonable. Marie at reception is also lovely and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I have just finished my Invisalign (and many other things) journey at high street dental and I cannot recommend the practice enough. Firstly, Jon is an exceptional dentist. He has such attention to detail. Not only that but he is also a very warm person and puts you at ease. I had quite low expectations for what could be achieved with my teeth but he made lots of suggestions based off my goals that have truly transformed my smile. I was also recommended to see Jose the hygienist who must be the most thorough hygienist I have ever seen who has hugely improved my gum health. Thank you to the dental nurses and receptionists too. The whole team are just lovely and caring and it has really been a pleasure coming in over the last year. So if you are considering starting a dental journey with high street dental, go for it, you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience: Jon did an excellent job on my teeth. I had an extraction and then an implant and throughout the whole process he explained every aspect of the treatment to me in detail. He is also a master at pain relief, which is important to me, and I never had any pain, despite the implant surgery. The finished product is aesthetically perfect and so far comfortable and practical. I wholeheartedly recommend him. It will be a loss to Bristol but a gain to Madrid when he transfers back there at the end of May.

Fantastic experience: Finally found a dentist surgery that actually cares. Marie on reception very helpful and friendly, perfect person to greet people when they walk through the door. Can’t praise my dentist John highly enough, made me feel relaxed and confident in getting my smile back. He talks to you and explains the whole process, happy to answer questions. Every appointment I have attended John always finds time to talk and get to know you, this really helps if your a nervous patient. This place isn’t like a-lot of other dentistries, so many have turned into conveyer belt systems that rush you through the whole appointment. High street dental actual care about there patients and give you time to understand what needs to be done. Also greet communication by phone, email and WhatsApp.

Negative experience: Very abusive when they ask you to pay in advance. They don't trust customers even if you have been many years with them. They only think in their incomes and not how the customer feels about this abusive behaviour.

First things first, the treatment speaks for itself - Jon did such an incredible job and I literally haven’t stopped smiling since - I love my teeth now and I’ve had so many compliments! I had Invisalign treatment on my upper and lower teeth, as well as composite bonding to fix chips and wear, and whitening. I felt I was listened to, I had the opportunity to ask all the questions and doubts I had in mind. Furthermore, I received answers and advices for every single question and the visit was not rushed at all. Dr. Cascone felt friendly and approachable, but at the same time very knowledgeable and competent. He really took time to explain to me the mechanics of my bite and possible issues and solutions, he was very transparent on times and costs, without forcing me into any unexpected treatment. The dental nurse, Karla, was smiling and friendly too. Overall, a very positive experience. Finally, the place is clean and everyone was wearing a mask, which is a plus in times like these! Negative experience: On my emergency appointment I was advised my tooth requires extraction and quote ‚nothing can be done’. I felt like my problem was not addressed properly, the dentist made it seem like there was some sort of crack in my tooth making it unrestorable. I happened to mention Invisalign as I was wondering how the extraction would affect my plans and fair enough, got the information I needed although the part they were most focused was some deal they had going on at the practice. Happy to have gone elsewhere, I had my treatment and managed to keep my tooth - no shortcuts here. Staff were pleasant enough but the whole experience was just bad. Almost like all they care about is money making. EDIT - As I have mentioned, my tooth has been fully restored and there was no crack preventing it from actually being treated. Fair point to tell me about Invisalign treatment although I have only asked about it since I was confused how extraction would affect my future plans, I did not need to hear about your promotional offer multiple times.

Compared with other root canal options in Bristol your prices were a lot more manageable and although I hope not to need any more procedures for a while, I would certainly return and recommend your treatment to anyone in a similar position. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend the clinic and Dr Jon Bassanini. I had a teeth whitening and Invisalign treatments with them in the last year: Dr Jon has always been very clear in explaining my options, quick and precise in delivering the treatments. The results I got out of the two aesthetic treatments are simply fantastic! As I wrote to Dr Jon, I am definitely much more keen on smiling now than I was before thanks to his work. All the clinic's staff is very nice and professional as well, smooth and organised at all times.

Fantastic experience: I came to the High street dental clinic in a lot of distress after having a lot of pain through lockdown and my wisdom tooth getting progressively worse. I called the clinic, sent my x-ray and Jon called me back. He was able to calm me down and gave me hope, that the extraction of my wisdom tooth was possible after being told somewhere else that it was a very difficult extraction and needed to go hospital and getting it done with surgery and total anaesthesia. Bear in mind there is a long waiting list and this was not gonna happen any time soon. Jon agreed to see me that same week. Jon is an excellent professional, very skilled, perfectionist and gentle. I didn't feel any pain and he took my wisdom tooth out without problems. He also seemed very confident and able to calm me and reassure me that everything was going to be okay as I was quite stressed. He also explained the whole procedure which I found very helpful. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Doctor Jon Bassanini does his job amazingly. I had my wisdom teeth removed with him today, he does it within like 10 minutes. Absolutely no pain, I couldn't even believe it when he shows me the teeth.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to the HSD for saving my tooth after a filling had come out during lockdown. I was screened by the dentist Jon over the phone, and sent a picture if the tooth over email. Within an hour I was sent a quote and offered an appointment. The new protocols for waiting downstairs and everyone wearing PPE were very well executed, and I definitely felt safe from catching coronavirus. The filling was very deep near the nerve so not an easy task, but Jon's handiwork was excellent and you can barely tell the tooth has been filled. It was a painless experience and I would happily reccommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Excellent, had to have a wisdom tooth removed and was anxious about the procedure (not having had any of my teeth removed before). The dentist (Jon) kept me informed about the procedure throughout (and emailed me a few weeks afterwards to see how I was getting on), an extremely professional dentist and I felt hardly any pain during the procedure.
