Fantastic experience: A big shout out to Saif for the two fillings he’s done in the last two weeks. For both you wouldn’t know that they’re not my original teeth. Saif has a kind, calming nature that puts you at your ease and makes you feel you that you are in safe hands, I would thoroughly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 The dental clinic itself is spotless and welcoming, and all of the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I’m always very pleased with the service. They consistently manage to fit me in, and I couldn’t be happier with the care I receive. My dentist, Michael, is fantastic. He’s very knowledgeable and truly cares about his patients. I’ve seen many dentists over the years, both NHS and private (some good & some less so), and Michael is by far my top choice.

Fantastic experience: I had to book an emergency appointment and was fitted in the same day. I normally use the Wellington practice but on this occasion I was to be seen the same day in Exeter. The team were fantastic as usual. Both sites are always clean and presentable.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at this dentist for over 15 years now and the team have always been really friendly and helpful. I recently had a cosmetic procedure done after talking it through with Dr Saif at my routine appointment. Every detail was explained and all the different options were discussed with no pressure at any point. Everything was done properly, and any adjustments I asked for were sorted straight away with no hassle. Dr Saif and the rest of the team at Dunedin were brilliant with me. They were patient, understanding and supportive through every part of the process. I’ve never felt so confident at the dentist until meeting Saif. I’ve always had good experiences here, but Saif has genuinely gone above and beyond. I’m no longer nervous about going to the dentist because he’s given me confidence in my teeth and in taking proper care of them. I really recommend the whole team here, I trust them completely with all my dental work and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank You All!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service, care and treatment! Had a refit root canal that wasn't straightforward, I was referred to Mike for the treatment and his diligence, professionalism and friendliness was second to none. He spent time with me before the procedure, talking everything through, super super friendly guy, so calm and chilled. The procedure couldn't have gone any better, and afterwards he talked me through everything. Thought I'd never say I enjoyed a trip to the dentist, but Mike made it absolutely brilliant! Great guy, and highly recommend!

This made me very comfortable. My examination was also a great experience the whole time Mike was telling me what he was doing. I would recommend this dentist.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Dunedon since retiring home and my old dentist in Plymouth moved on. So a second new dentist at the practice. This was a great experience the best and most extensive oral health check I have ever had. Really gentle and through and very easy to chat to. When ever I have had problem I can almost always be seen that day.

Negative experience: Bumped our kids off the NHS list because we won't pay them monthly for DenPlan as private adult patients (after we were also thrown off the NHS list). Been with them for years. Not impressed.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Dunedin Dental Clinic for about ten years. In all this time and at every visit I have been treated very well indeed. I was formerly very anxious about having any sort of dental appointment was a very stressed patient. Since joining Dunedin I feel relaxed and reassured during my appointments and now no longer dread the twice yearly visit. All the staff are kind and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending Dunedin Dental Clinic to any anxious or nervous future patients to lovely caring dentists.

Negative experience: Unimpressed by a poor level of service. Pulled my kids out of school today, rushed across Exeter and called the clinic just to confirm the time. I was told that they were running 1 hour late and my 12pm appointment would need to be rescheduled to another day because they close at 1pm. They had not called to tell me due to writing my number down incorrectly :/

Negative experience: Anthony is a very genuinely caring & skilled dentist and I believe did the best for me, however after there were aspects of the extensive and complicated treatment I had undertaken, that I felt were not right and I had askedto be changed. I had a consultation with Mark Stewart the practice owner. I have never been treated with such contempt by a dentist or anyone else - particularlywhenIhavepaida lot of money for their services. From the start it was clear that he was not sympathetic to my concerns and was impatient and curt, and clearly was angry that I should dare to question professional decisions. He kept telling me to stop talking and that my concerns were irrelevant and refused to see past his own agenda which seemed to be saving money for the clinic rather than getting the job right for me. Of course I was very upset and confused by his aggressive putting down of my concerns- which was taken as bad behaviour on my part - told me if I continued to talk to him like ths I would have to leave......I should have walked out anyway. I left in tears. Really unnecessarily horrible end to my treatment at the clinic. I reiterate that I would be happy to be treated by Anthony again, and lovely reception and nurses, but will not give the clinic any more of my money because of the owner.

Negative experience: Terrible service! Avoid at all costs. They will do the bare minimum that they can get away with. They turn up late and will get you out the door as fast as possible.

Fantastic experience: I’d like to give a huge thank you to Saife and his nurse (I’m so sorry I can’t remember your name!). I had an emergency appointment at midday, and Saife was absolutely fantastic. I needed a wisdom tooth removed, and he took the time to explain everything thoroughly, including the risks and why he recommended a referral to RDUH. However, I was eager to have it done right away, and he kindly respected my decision. He worked tirelessly for an hour, doing everything he could before it became clear the tooth just wasn’t budging, and I’d need that hospital referral after all. The complications were entirely my fault, but he and his nurse remained so patient, professional, and kind throughout. I really appreciate everything the team did for me—thank you so much!

I’ve never felt worried or questioned the treatment I’ve needed, but have felt this way at other dentists. Lovely staff and all round excellent experience and treatment.

Positive experience: I was pleased with the dental work I received. The surgery is a pleasant environment and team friendly. I’d suggest the reception could use different language when receiving calls. In my case a tooth had splintered the evening before. A sharp piece of tooth was sore on my tongue during the night. It’s the first time I’ve had a semi emergency since signing up for Denplan. I’d hoped private health would provide a good level of emergency cover. My call was picked up quickly on the Friday around 8am, which was encouraging. Having explained the situation and the shard hurting my tongue, I was told the only appointment was the following Wednesday and Anthony was on annual leave. (You might have a recording of the call) There was no empathy to my situation very much glass half empty rather than ‘let’s see what we can do’ Ideally I’d have wanted “ oh dear sorry to hear you’re in pain. Let me see what we CAN DO. Unfortunately A is on annual leave and we are busy. The first available appointment is Wednesday but baring in mind your tooth is hurting your tongue etc.. It was a stormy day and it was left to me to suggest you might get cancellations and I live nearby so can get there quickly, even if the tooth could just be filed. It was resolved speedily, as I got a prompt call back and seen at noon and the tooth fully repaired. Thank you to the calm demeanour of the newer dentist (of 5 months sorry can’t remember name) and his dental assistant all went well. We also find the out of hours recordings unfriendly and would suggest they could be more client focused. Eg can’t leave out of hours messages etc. Hope the feedback is constructive. Joanna.

Fantastic experience: I am absolutely terrified of dentist and have not been for many years. Finally took the plunge and have almost completed my treatment which says a lot as it means I have been more than once. Dentist and assistant made me feel at ease (as much as possible) and explained what was happening. I definitely don't feel quite as terrified and would happily recommend them.

Negative experience: I stayed away during COVID as my teeth were fine, when part of a filling came out and I rang to make an appointment all I got was I had not been for two years and had be removed from the NHS list, despite explaining my reason for not going during the COVID chaos, they had no sympathy. They would see me as a private patient. I asked to speak to the practice manager who was to ring me back and never heard anything even after emailing directly. They do not care about there patients just making money.

Negative experience: Experiences at Dunedin have changed me from being a relaxed and confident patient, to someone who absolutely dreads going to the dentist!

Positive experience: I have been patient at Dunedin for many years now both NHS and more recent private.The staff are always so helpful and also try their best to accompany appointment timings..Antony knows me as patient and what I wanted to achieve for the best healthy smile ..highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Had to have an emergency extraction on a broken crown that had become infected was given the option of being given antibiotics or root canal but finally decided on extraction The whole experience from reception to the dentist and his assistant was as nice as a visit to the dentist can be I would thoroughly recommend this clinic to anyone.

Negative experience: Never answer the phone. Rung multiple times over a few days and nothing.

Fantastic experience: Lovely dentist (always happy with them) and friendly, understanding receptionists makes such a difference :) The only thing that could be improved is when we have an appointment booked for the same time (myself & my partner), to actually have the appointment at the same time or to let us know if they will be one after the other so we know what to expect! I have always had a phobia since I was a child, but the dentist Chris put me at such ease, explained everything to me and really made me feel comfortable. The clinic is modern and the staff are wonderful. A definite 5 star plus

Negative experience: If you are looking for a dentist, do not go here. The dentists I have seen, first being Mark, I have never met someone with so little empathy. He could quite clearly see I was in considerable pain, but thought it best to speak over me and condescendingly. On returning after my treatment I thought it best to mentioanother pain & his wordwere “we are not dealing with so stop”! He disgustingly. When I asked to see another dentist Anthony I hoped he would be better, but sadly not, when he came to get me in the waiting room he simply pointed at me & walked away, no hello, nothing, clearly not worthy of speech. Again I was in considerable pain, but sadly he could offer no resolution, other than a hefty bill. I went to get another opinion at another dentist and was treated with kindness and compassion & after an X-ray I was immediately told that a filling Mark had done was done so badly he had left a big gap inside the tooth causing me agony. How they did not see this I do not know. The only care I was shown were by the receptionists, who were kind and genuinely cared about my well being.
