The Town House Dental Practice

Fantastic experience: I chose Tower House Tunbridge Wells during Covid for an emergency filling when no other dentist would help- from that point I am dedicated to the practice. Since then I have received great treatment not only from the dentists but from the caring service who have contacted me whenever it was needed. My latest treatment which was challenging has been treated with such delicacy and concern which has touched me deeply. Without naming those who helped me- thank you for all your care and experience

Fantastic experience: Townhouse Dental Practice are a really bespoke service - they have amazing technology for dental check ups and a TV on the ceiling to calm and distract nerves. I was really happy with my first visit - Umar the dentist is so friendly, helpful and gentle with the check up process, as well as being very thorough. I went in yesterday for my first hygienist appointment with Brooke and she was so lovely and sweet. I really enjoyed the experience; it was therapeutic and comfortable, I didn’t experience any discomfort at all. Reception staff are super friendly as well. I highly recommend this practice for quality and comfort!

All the staff are lovely, professional and you really feel like you're in safe hands. My teeth feel amazing after my hygienist appointment by Brooke and Shona replaced a small white filling that popped out, for free. So glad to have found the practise!

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment with Dr Umar Mahmood on Monday and it was a very good experience. Umar is kind, patient and thorough. It was the first time ever that I had the results of X-rays shown to me and Umar guided me through the images and explained what he had found. Very reassuring. Thank you. I was also very impressed with the friendly welcome at reception and I am now looking forward to an appointment with Brooke, the hygienist.

Fantastic experience: From a reluctant patient to a very happy and confident patient. The whole team is excellent - friendly, helpful and welcoming on reception. Brooke the hygienist is also friendly and calming and Peter can work wonders again in a calm and confident way. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service , high quality dentistry , all staff kind and thoughtful . Peter is our regular dentist and has done some great work over the years. We have had several crowns, and cosmetic work , which looks very natural. Other family members have have also had root canal and crowns fitted, all to the highest standard. Always kind and considerate , explaining everything, offering varied solutions with good advice and excellent outcomes. Peter is never satisfied until you are and he sets the bar high.

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing practice! I came in first for my hygienist appointment I was really nervous and Brooke was so lovely, gentle and patient. The receptionist was so helpful and lovely! I’m now continuing to stay as a patient here and starting treatment with Peter and he has been so reassuring and everyone has helped me, this is the best practice I’ve been to so professional and friendly!

Fantastic experience: I have only been going to this practice for 18 months, so the review for the hygienists is based on two visits. Both times, the team worked well together. It's a very comfortable setting and I enjoy watching the large TV - this time a tour of France. My teeth feel wonderful, so I think the cleaning went well too!

Fantastic experience: I continue to use Town House for all my dental work. Recently had white filling replaced, was a bit harsh on my flossing and part fell out, Peter didn’t hesitate to fix once more at no charge. Thank you. Best dentist I have ever used, Peter and his team are so lovely, professional, I feel like I am visiting a great friend each time I go. So don’t hesitate contacting the team!

Fantastic experience: Brooke was absolutely lovely. So gentle and encouraging and really helped alleviate my anxiety. Shona was also superb. Very informative about what treatment I needed and helpful in setting up a plan. All the staff, including the lovely receptionist, are so friendly and welcoming but also very professional. Would highly recommend for anyone being forced to switch from NHS to private or just deciding that private is the way forward for them.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been seeing Dr. Umar Mahmood for last last 2 years and we couldn’t be happier. I recently had bonding after years of complexities with my teeth and I am over the moon with the results. Dr Mahmood took the time to make sure I was happy with the results and he and the rest of the team made me feel at ease and comfortable. The receptionist is also so kind and helpful! They’re also brilliant with children, too! Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: First-class dental practice! The whole team are well-informed about patients and my entire experience over 2 years has been very positive. I've had root canal treatment with Ian, an implant with Peter and regular visits to the hygienist followed by check-ups with Peter and i've been very pleased with the advice and care on every occasion. Have recommended several friends and all my family members are patients!

Fantastic experience: Just had a 2.5 hr Root Canal with Ian. Only downside was the discomfort of having your mouth open for that long !!. The treatment was perfect and went without a hitch. I always find this practice very professional in all ways from the reception girls to the dental nurses and of course Peter and Ian, who carry out their work in an exemplary way. I would always feel comfortable recommending this practice. It is a nice touch that I received a phone call the day after to check I was ok after the treatment.

Had the least pain I have ever had during extraction, despitebeing a large rear tooth with twisted root. Angela and I have been coming to the practice since Sally started it in the early noughties and continuing with Peter after her retirement. Would not go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: The Town House is definitely the nicest dental practise I have ever been to. Brooke is an incredibly kind hygienist and she has really improved my willingness to go to these appointments - it’s never going to be the most comfortable thing but this is the first time I’ve not found it painful and I truly believe she cares about me as a person. Peter is such a lovely dentist to visit, so much so that a little part of me actually looks forward to a check up - which is saying something as have always been very nervous at the dentist. He makes the effort to get to know me and helps me feel more at ease by letting me get to know him. He takes the time to explain things, my appointments never feel rushed, and I really believe he has my best interests at heart. I genuinely feel like his favourite patient (although I’m sure all his patients feel that way!). Also love watching the animals on the ceiling TVs during an appointment!

Highly recommend :-) Recently had need to have a retainer fixed, I was given an appointment within two days of calling. Nice welcome as I entered by reception and seen on time by Peter who was swift in correcting the problem with a good explanation of what he was doing. He was friendly and gave helpful advice. 31.07.23: Had a check up today & repeat everything I wrote before about a warm welcome & being seen on time. Full explanation by Peter of findings including photos to show me what he was discussing. 20.09.23: Needed to see Peter as I had had toothache all weekend. Rang on Monday, fitted in on Tuesday (I just missed Monday's emergency slot). Thorough exam with x-rays to find the cause. Can't fault the service.

Fantastic experience: I started going to The Town House Dental practice at the beginning of the year. The moment you step through the doors, it’s as if you have been a patient with them for years. All the staff are very friendly, putting you at your ease. At the moment I’m having my teeth straightened, which can be a little painful at times. Peter Ball my dentist, has also had this procedure done so he knows what I’m experiencing. I’m so glad I found this dentist.

Positive experience: Started off having a great experience but a few things happened that made me revise my opinion. They're not bad dentists, but communication could be a lot better to manage expectations about what's possible and which treatments are appropriate (or not)

Fantastic experience: The Town House Practice has been supporting me through a dental problem recently. Yesterday I had an extraction, and I was not looking forward to it! I need not have worried. Peter handled the whole process with great gentleness and care - fully explaining all that would happen. I have never known injections to be given so carefully that I felt nothing - until now. My whole experience since joining the practice has been of genuine care, kindness and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: What can I say . Broke a tooth that was already filled, my usual dentist couldn’t fit me in. Fortunately bumped into Peter who saw me on the same day ! I’m a very nervous patient but was put at ease from the outset. The reception staff were brilliant in making me feel at ease. Peter explained every step to me and what he needed to do. Needless to say 2 appointments later I have a fully restored tooth ( a crown ) and I couldn’t be happier with the treatment I received from the team . You have restored my confidence and will not hesitate in coming back again !

Fantastic experience: The Town House always deals with any dental isssues I might have in a professional and personal manner, always looking for the best outcome that can be achieved. The dentist (Peter) and his staff always listen to what I have to say. All problems that arise are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Fantastic experience: I moved to the Townhouse as it was recommended by a friend early this year. I needed several jobs done and they have already done everything for me, so far I have being very happy with everything. Peter is my dentist and he always make sure you are happy with the job done. They don't try to sale you things that you do not need. They will recommend some works you might need, but is up to you to do it or not and when. (I know most people gets annoyed with this in some clinics. Here you won't need to worry). I have issues with my neck so they put a lovely pillow for me and are super patient. Everyone in the clinic is very professional, nice and kind. They make you feel welcome. Definitely recommended them.
