Positive experience: I had a mixed experience with this dental practice. My initial appointment went well — I had a filling done, and the dentist was patient and professional. However, things became more uncomfortable when I was taken upstairs for scans. I was positioned incorrectly by someone who appeared to be in training, which caused quite a bit of pain when my jaw was opened too wide and there was no one else on the room with us. After that, I was waiting for my SmileWhite aligners. I was advised to move my next appointment to a different branch closer to me, but the reception area and facilities there felt run-down. Even though I arrived on time, I waited around 45 minutes before realising my aligners had been delivered to the other practice. During the appointment, the atmosphere felt very rushed and stressed. I needed some teeth filing, and because I was anxious, I struggled a bit — the reaction from the dentist made me feel like I was a burden, which was upsetting. I also felt pressure to whiten my teeth earlier than I was comfortable with. When my teeth weren’t aligning the way I expected, I was questioned about it by the dentist who said they looked fine but SmileWhite agreed with my concerns and arranged more aligners. By the end, my teeth were mostly straight, but I still had a gap on one side that was painful. I was told this was normal and that my treatment was finished. It’s now been a year, and I still have discomfort and some bleeding in that area. Based on my experience, I personally wouldn’t return to this practice, although I did have a better experience dealing directly with SmileWhite.

Positive experience: Very disappointed with the service I have received from this dentist. I tried to rearrange my appointment for a dental hygiene clean more than 72 hours before my appointment, in which they said they were unable to rearrange it for me due to them supposedly meaning ONLY working days. They then tried to say it states it in the email they sent me to confirm my appointment in which it didn’t. After me saying it did not say that in the email, they said they would call me shortly after to confirm if i could rearrange my appointment and that was fine with me. If it could not be rearranged I was then ok to take that time off of work and I did make that clear… they did not call me. I tried calling several but I got no answer. I then called on a different day which was the day of my appointment and explained how I was waiting for a call to see if my appointment could be rescheduled or if I need to take some time off work to attend the appointment.. they seemed unaware and then said there was no way it could be rearranged and my deposit would be gone unless I came. I then mentioned how if this was the case they should have called beforehand so I could have let work know.. they then said they would call soon to confirm if it could be rescheduled.. they have still not called. UPDATE: The dentist did call and reschedule my appointment without me losing the deposit which is great. I only wish this experience did not take place as other than this I have had no issues.

We sincerely hope that we have resolved the problem for you. We have discussed the 72 hour notice cancellation policy and amended our forms to 'working hours'. We do try to endeavour to move other patients into spaces created by last minute cancellations as we do understand that things come up. We did try and move appointments into your slot but no one could make it, hence the suggestion that you would forgo your deposit. Hopefully we can get your review to a 5 star standard as this is the level of care and service we aim to achieve.

Negative experience: Called on behalf of my mum to find they no longer take emergency appointments for nhs patients. I've never heard of a dentist turn away nhs patients in need of emergancy medical care. Very disappointing as she's been with them for 30+ years and have always been accommodating previously.

We have tried to accommodate your mum on Monday which is our earliest availability. Funny how after 30 years of clearly positive experiences but never a review to remark on this? As soon as you struggle to get an appointment you felt the need to leave a negative review rather than escalate it to management where we would strive to help mum out which we have done, offering her an appointment at our sister practice this afternoon which we have no obligation to do. It’s a wonder why dentists are refusing to work under the NHS when this is the kind of criticism we face. I will speak to mum directly when i see her.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting practice. I have been with them since I was a kid and I caught Covid twice and had to miss my appointments because of it. In return they chucked me off their list and left me stranded to find a new dentist. I didn’t go to the appointments in hopes that they would’ve been protected from also catching Covid. In addition to this, my grandparents who have been going for over 30+ years (when the dentist’s father owned the practice) they have decided to also throw them off the list and haven’t provided them any reason as to why and haven’t referred them to another practice. The dentist is rude and unprofessional, when I used to go to my appointments she never spoke in a polite manner nor did she make me feel welcome (considering I’m scared of dentists as much as it is), not to mention the bluntness patients receiving form the reception.

We are really disappointed with the review that you have given our practice. We strive for 5 star care and are very sorry that we have not achieved this on this occasion.
We would like to point out a few things however.
1. You failed to communicate that you had COVID and just didn't show up to multiple appointments. This has wasted over 40 minutes of clinical time. It is a wonder why the public are struggling to get hold of NHS dental appointments when people disregard our time and in your case repeatedly. We could have offered this appointment to someone else. Please do not blame us because you couldn't be bothered to call us to let us know this. Furthermore the NHS rules and regulations state that we do not have to see you if you miss two appointments which you have done. I can assure you, we haven't 'chucked' you off our list but simply adhered to rules and regulations.
2. Your family members are still registered with us and appear to be very happy with our service as confirmed at their last appointment.
Regarding the rudeness of the dentist that you mention, we are really sorry that this is your feedback. If you could let us know what exactly was rude and unprofessional we would be happy to improve our services. We haven't seen you for over a year so not entirely sure why you would write this feedback now rather than highlighting this to us at the time. We deal with many anxious patients and as you can see from our other reviews, we do endeavour to provide excellent care.
If you had called us to discuss this, we could have looked at getting you seen again as we have strong family values and your family are being seen by us. However you have felt the need to review us publicly for your own mistake.

Positive experience: Having attended this practice today - expecting a miracle, i walked out with a bit of an attitude as things didn't meet my expectations. This was probably partly due to my initial call for an appointment, where i was misinformed. I have just received a lengthy call from the Practice Manager who has clearly explained the reasoning behind the issues i was disappointed with. I now actually realise the pressure our Dentists are under, and having paid into the NHS for almost 50yrs, its time our NHS was treated with the respect & Salary they deserve. Also, we who have paid into it should have easy access to our Medical requirements. Again, i wish to thank the Manager at MM for taking the time to call me, listen to me & explain the situations they are dealing with. Based on that i recommend them 100%.

Negative experience: Recent fillings needed redoing elsewhere after paying more for them Subsequently when someone has a infection and you have the means to cure do-so (for all customers!) As I was led to believe brushing an infection would clean it which Instead spreads the infection who knew, then chipping my tooth shortly after all whist in my 'adolescence' age 14 around this time maybe younger I hold no grudge but I should forewarn others, only wish id said/done it sooner

Negative experience: Tried to set up an appointment, called to tell me that they weren't taking NHS patients, then tried to hawk me private care. Borderline predatory during a cost of living crisis. EDIT: Replying to my review with a sulky comment about how they don't want 'ignorant' patients (ie; disabled patients who don't appreciate having expensive private care hawked at them) is also extremely unprofessional. If a dental practice cannot be trusted to deal with a review professionally, then they cannot be trusted to deal with patients professionally.

We completely understand how difficult times are for all patients struggling to afford NHS dental care. You should however read in your local newspaper and enlighten yourself to the current state of NHS dentistry and not to take it out on a dental practice that is trying their best to see NHS patients despite multiple practices giving back their contracts. I, the principal dentist work at two NHS practices, seeing over 200 NHS patients a week. NHS dentistry is struggling because dentists no longer want to work under a very underfunded and complex system. If we can’t find a dentist to see you because the government refuses to make the system better, I’m not sure what you would like us to do.
We offer private treatment as a means to give an alternative option to those really struggling. Our private fees are very reasonable at £13.50 a month for our memberships. Under the membership, all NHS treatments are kept at similar prices. We are doing our best to help!
Sheer ignorance is not what we like to see and definitely not the kind of patients we would like to be taking on board. We are not trying to hawk private care from patients. We are trying to keep a business going. We do care sincerely about our patients as you can see by all of our 5 star reviews.
Leaving a 1 star review is unfair and we would appreciate if you could contact the practice and we will try our best to help you.
Ignorance and disability are not in anyway similar. I would suggest that you look this up. All the best!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to this dental practice around 30 years when Mr Mehta was running it. The service was excellent then and still is now his daughter Dhruna has taken over. All the staff are very nice always friendly and helpful. Tasnim has been the receptionist is always helpful and friendly with everyone who walks through the door. Wouldn't go anywhere else
