Fantastic experience: I’ve known Mahesh for many years, and he has been nothing short of amazing when it comes to looking after my teeth. He is always calm, reassuring, and offers excellent advice. Over the years, he’s completed two root canal treatments for me as well as regular check-ups, and I’ve always felt completely confident in his care. The whole team is fantastic. Lauren, one of the dental nurses, is especially lovely and always makes appointments more comfortable. I recently had an implant with Maria, and the experience was very positive. Prabhjyot, the dental hygienist, is always thorough, professional, and genuinely caring during treatments. I couldn’t recommend Mahesh and the entire dental team highly enough. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Safe in their hands

Fantastic experience: I would not consider going to any other dental practice. The fear of dentists I have experienced in other places over 60 years disappeared after my first appointment, just after they opened. Receptionists are unfailingly helpful and understanding and the practice manager sorted out a potentially expensive problem for me in changing from another dental plan to the one for this practice. At no time was I made to feel I was wasting her time. I have been treated by two hygienists over the last few years and they were both friendly, with good advice but never being patronising in answering my questions. I have just finished a course of route canal work, treated by Dr Mahesh Vasireddy; this was the second time he has performed this dentistry on me and the way he treated me for the first problem was the main reason I chose to move to his practice. I like the emphasis he puts on conservation of teeth, rather than removal and replacement. Whether it is routine check- ups, hygiene, fillings or crowns, bridges etc I cannot recommend them more highly for the way they deal with this elderly lady!

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal treatment carried out by Mahesh as my local dentist had referred me.The treatment over two appointments was carried out professionally and so friendly! Mahesh explained everything every step of the way, I felt very confident and comfortable throughout the treatment, which I’m happy to say has been successful! The dental assistants and hygienist were always so friendly and welcoming, the dentist was really professional. Always on time, which I really appreciated! The reception team were absolutely lovely! Fantastic experience: I highly recommend YDP, especially Alex Wan. He has provided great care for me and my family, especially my teenage son who was quickly referred to the hospital for braces when Alex noticed he had problems with his adult teeth. He recently extracted two of his adult teeth in preparation for the brace and he was amazing. He took the time to explain the process, answered his questions and gave him a stress ball to squeeze as he was quite anxious. My son didn't even feel the numbing injections going in, it was incredible! The whole practice is great, they really take care of you. My husband and I are on dental plans, and our two children are free NHS. I'm so glad we chose to go with them.

Positive experience: I'm a 'legacy' patient who was unhappy about the 'plan' which costs about £190 a year so hadn't been to the dentist for over 2 years. When i had gum pain i rang and they said the only appointment i could have was a new patient appointment in October. Not so good when you're in pain and feel like pulling your own teeth out. The pain worsened and i rang again but got the same response, only one dentist was taking new patients and there wasn't space for me. I was narked but survived on pain killers. To be fair to them they rang me up and started offering me cancellations. Unfortunately i couldn't make the first two but made the third. I was impressed by the thoroughness and professionalism of the dentist who gave me a full 'service' on my teeth and gums, highlighting the areas of concern and advising me what i can do to manage any future issues. The service when i got in was 5 star, no complaints at all. Maybe i'm being unfair in dropping a star as I know dentistry nationally is underfunded and this was probably to blame for my initial frustration in getting treatment. I just hope that the NHS dental service can get back to where it was in the past and where it seems to be abroad where i got a new filling the morning after the old one fell out.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to York Dental Practice, and I was very pleased to find such a friendly bunch of people. My examination was very thorough, and informative. I was talked through all my x-rays and photographs by my new dentist, and have signed up for the classic care plan for the future.

I have been seeing Yordan for many years and he is great with my children, they aren’t scared to come to the dentist which is a winner! After a horrible experience previously with a hygienist I was reluctant to ever have a hygienist appointment again but Prabh, who I have now had three appointments with, puts me at ease and it doesn’t hurt at all! Fantastic experience: Best treatment I've ever had, topped off by listening to 3 different Dream Theater albums in their entirety during the treatments (Progressive Heavy Metal Music and dentistry is the one). Alex Wan and his team Alanna, Molly, and Randa, provided an exceptional dental experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease and well taken care of. The staff at the front and on the phone/emails are really freindly, helpful and professional talking me through the different payment plans. Alex's expertise and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of my treatment. Not only did Alex address my immediate dental needs with precision and skill, but he also took the time to educate me on proper oral care practices. Thanks to his guidance, my teeth and gums have never been healthier. What truly sets Alex apart is his ability to make even the most daunting procedures feel comfortable and manageable (Progressive Metal definitely helped!). Despite undergoing multiple treatments, including fillings and the fitting of an onlay tooth, I felt relaxed and confident in Alex's capable hands. His calm demeanor, coupled with his sense of humor, made each visit a positive experience. I am particularly grateful for the support and assistance provided by Alanna, Molly, and Randa throughout my dental journey. Their professionalism and compassion contributed to the overall excellence of my care. Fantastic experience: Hello me and my children have been to York Dental practise for about 2 years we have a lovely dentist called Timesh who is excellent at looking after all our teeth and gums but is excellent at taking the anxiety out of a visit to the dentist if we feel nervous about anything when there. Also I see Melina who is an excellent hygienist who has advised me on all sorts of things to help me keep my gums and teeth in good health I can’t thank them enough with a lovely team from the dental nurses to the receptionists that’s why I would highly recommend it to anyone that needs good dental care! Also it’s so very affordable as You can pay monthly on a dental plan as I do !

Fantastic experience: I can’t describe just how amazing my dentist was. Alex Wan didn’t only provide and amazing dental service but also made me feel comfortable through the multiple procedures I need to make my teeth healthier and look better. Even when I was having multiple teeth removed he kept calm, gave me as many breaks as I needed and even managed to make me laugh. He turned something that would usually be very traumatic and turned it into a pleasant experience, making me even more excited for my new teeth. Alex worked with several severely broken down teeth and ensured a clean removal of each tooth. I had no further complications, even from the surgical extractions. Not only has he given me a beautiful smile but he’s given me 1000x more confidence and I can’t thank him enough for that.

So good that I have booked my next appointment! Clearly Melina is a trained professional but they way I was made to feel welcome, not judged and treated with kindness and respect made it much less of an ordeal than I would have been imagined.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr Vasireddy now for about 10 years and I’m 53, I hadn’t seen a dentist for over 20 years due to a childhood trauma with another dentist. Dr Vasireddy is a gentle gentleman and has carefully and painless guided me through fillings and root canals over the last few years and I owe my smile to him. Whilst I’ll never be an eager dental patient I have moved from utter terror to very nervous. I’ve even convinced my sister to see a dentist here, although she doesn’t see Dr Vasireddy she’s seeing one of the other practice dentists. If like me you’ve had a really bad experience of dentists I can’t recommend the York dental practice highly enough, they’ll take all the time you need and gently walk you through any procedure. My only real concern is what will I do when he retires!

Fantastic experience: First-rate care. I had to have a root canal re-done as a referral from my usual dentist. Although both sessions were long and potentially tricky, I felt unworried throughout with no pain and minimal discomfort. I so appreciated being talked to face to face rather than from behind the dental chair; communication throughout was clear and informative. Fantastic experience: At 56 it was time for me to face up to my biggest fear the dentist,after many bad experiences in my time my sister got me an appointment, I had to have 10 roots took out as my teeth had rotted away,I cannot praise and thank the dentist him self enough,my nervous calmed down straight away,I had 5 out the first time then the next 5out, totally amazed ,5 mins and all over and done with, truly amazing work, thank you .

Fantastic experience: Undertook a two part root canal treatment and could not recommend Dr Mahesh more highly - a consummate professional! All pre-dental work was thoroughly explained and continued to be explained at every stage throughout the treatment; he also ensured that the treatment was completely painless throughout the procedure and after both stages of the treatment, felt like I'd never even had any work carried out. Highly recommend Dr Mahesh as a caring and highly qualified professional!

Fantastic experience: I have now been to this practice a few times and seen 'Mahesh' each time. I can not rate this dental practice highly enough. Always an attentive receptionist waiting to greet and book you in on time for the appointment, very efficient in booking in, taking accurate payments as per dental plan. Nice clean, calm waiting area. The dentist and assistant are the best I have ever been to in 58 years. I have never been to a dentist and felt no pain, completely relaxed, well taken care of and well informed of what is happening to me at the time. For the first time, I feel the dentist actually cares about my teeth. It is important to him to do not 'just the job' but an excellent job whilst being realistic and re assuring at the same time. I would highly recommend this dental practice to everyone. I travelled quite a way to see this dentist but feel the positives of the practice far outweigh any journey time. Well done :)

Negative experience: Rubbish. Poor communication between receptionist and dentist I had the worse tooth pain in my upper tooth to be told I can't have anything done because I'm pregnant been ripped off 42 pounds !

Fantastic experience: This is a 5 star dentist, from my first phone call to having treatment I cannot fault the place, having been in agony with a rotten back molar and not registered with a dentist I was in quite a state, thankfully the guys at York Dental Practice took me on, the tooth was a fairly complicated removal and needed an oral surgeon to remove it, all I can say is the gentleman that extracted it was an absolute magician, it was absolutely pain free, all the staff, the girls on reception and the nurses are fab, the building is super clean and modern, in short you need to go to this dentist, I cannot recommend them highly enough, a massive thank you York Dental Practice, I will be with you for life, no question, SUPERB SERVICE.

Fantastic experience: It had been a little while since I visited the dentist and Mahesh sorted me out straight away. Only the necessary procedures were offered and I loved being involved in the process throughout, lots of explaining during each appointment!

Fantastic experience: I have recently become a patient after moving up to York. I have found York Dental Practice to be an excellent choice. The ambience is good, with friendly and efficient staff, there is a good car park and prices are reasonable. But most of all I was impressed by the care and time deployed by the dentist, along with the nurse, to put me at ease and to explain the treatment plan as well as discussing the alternatives. I felt that I was in good hands.

Negative experience: There is no out-of-hours contact for emergencies. I had half of a specialist root canal treatment done here by an endodontist and after going home I developed a serious urticarial rash. I suspected the rash was due to material that was left in my tooth between treatments. When I called to discuss this, I was told that I still had to wait four weeks for the follow-up treatment to finish the root canal as they were very busy. My rash worsened significantly over the course of the following weekend, but there was no number to reach the practice, and the email account is not checked out of hours either. I ended up seeking emergency treatment from my ordinary dentist, who had to extract the tooth as he could not perform the specialist root canal treatment I had been referred for in the first place. My rash improved significantly following this. The endodontist may be clinically very good, but that is neither here nor there if you are not able to contact staff in an emergency situation.

Fantastic experience: Very good dentist, not a fan of the dentist and Mahesh really helps with that Practice is very clean and tidy and all the staff are really pleasant to deal with, the practice plan is also a really good idea!

Negative experience: Do not use this dental practice the staff are very rude I had a genuine reason why I couldn't attend an appointment and they struck me off but to be honest I'm glad in a way as the workmanship was poor probably the worst dental practice I've ever been to ill be moving my family away from this practice after the experience I have had !!!!!

This time round I began my treatment which I was very nervous about due to past bad experiences at other practices and struggling with anxiety. From when I arrived at the practice to leaving after the first part of my treatment, I felt comfortable and made to feel at ease throughout. During my appointment Saritha and Rachel were amazing! They constantly made sure I was ok and if I had any concerns or needed a break to just say. I never thought I would say this but I don't feel nervous for my next appointment at the dental practice and look forward to seeing the staff there again. I highly recommend Saritha and Rachel as I feel they are there to help you as an individual and not just as another patient. They take your own thoughts and opinions in to consideration which is nice so it feels like you have control in your own dental care. Brilliant practice with fab staff!

Fantastic experience: One of my wisdom teeth had split right down the middle. I'm not usually very good with going to the dentists as it terrifies me. Eleftheria was incredibly reassuring when I had to have the tooth extracted. The whole experience was completely painless. In addition, the staff team from the receptionists to the dental nurses are really friendly and make going to the see the dentist a very positive experience. Thank you to everyone. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: During Covid Lockdown the systems and procedures in place to ensure folks stay safe, was excellent. from arriving to leaving you are in safe hands. Thanks especially Eleftheria Tranoulidou ... she is the nicest dentist Ive ever had ! I was a little apprehensive as I needed a root canal, on a tooth that has not taken anesthetic in the past despite my protests,. So this time I braced myself... Eleftheria took on my concerns, and took great care to make sure this time was different. To say a root canal was a pleasure may sound weird but in this case it almost was. The time taken, extra care, and professional treatment I received was brilliant. I never got the name of her nurse, but they are a dream team and thank you so much to both of you and the rest of the team at York Dental for a fantastic job.

Fantastic experience: I got my first ever root canal done from Dr Mahesh and have been very happy with the treatment. The practice and Dr Mahesh took great care. I was expecting certain level of discomfort following the procedure, but once the anesthetics had worn off I was fine - as if nothing had happened to the tooth. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: AMAZING Staff who are all fantastic with my 2 children. Really well managed setting, especially with Covid. Appointments run smoothly and never rushed.
