Confident Dental & Implant Clinic - Cleevelands, Bishop’s Cleeve

Fantastic experience: Professional as always. Receptionists are always lovely. Very helpful. Hygienist and dentist make a very nervous patient comfortable and at ease. First dentist in 50+ years I actually don’t mind going to!

Negative experience: Please be very careful when getting treatment at this practice, make sure you get your invoice and treatment plan before treatment commences so that you can make an informed decision. I went for treatment in March 2025 to rectify an issue with my implant. The dentist checked it and went ahead with the treatment; however, I was not given my invoice until afterwards and was shocked to find a bill of £405! On the invoice it states the following; “Please note that your treatment will not commence until your written authorisation has been received” “I, (NAME), confirm that I have read and understood the above treatment plan and confirm my acceptance of the treatment to be carried out.” “I hereby give my full and written consent and authorisation to proceed with the treatment and the payment of the fees quoted” So, as I was given the invoice after treatment, they clearly did not follow their policies, and the invoice remains unsigned to this day! I definitely would not have agreed to treatment at this price until I had had a chance to get a second opinion. I made a formal complaint requesting a refund/compensation, I received a final written response in which they upheld 5 out of 6 points on my complaint however refund/compensation was denied! They maintained that I had given verbal consent, but I don’t agree that I can give any sort of consent if I have not been fully informed, they say this was satisfactory for the treatment to commence, however according to their documentation this is clearly against their policies and procedures! They actually said they are going update their policies and procedures due to this incident. I also asked them to review with the assistant who was present at the time but they claimed they could not as this person had left the practice. Be very careful, review all documents before treatment to protect yourself. Also do not accept recommendations from other dentists until you have had a chance to do due diligence for yourself.

Fantastic experience: After trying two other dentists in Cheltenham, I wanted to give this practice a try as well. At the time I was unable to book the Cheltenham one as it was busy, so decided to come here instead, despite being slightly further away. This was a good move as I’m pleased with my choice to come here for some extensive treatment. My initial appointment was with was dentist Shazia who was friendly and welcoming (actually seemingly unusual based on my visits to other dental practices). After not visiting dentists for a quite a while, and have some back experiences in the past, I was pleased to feel comfortable with her. Shazia used a camera to take many images of my mouth to build up a 3D model of what all my teeth looked like. She took the time to talk about everything that was going on, including taking x-rays and even AI to show areas of decay and what would be needed. I was a little apprehensive on returning for having 3 fillings done in one session, but I had no reason to be. Shazia and nurse Chelsea were great and within no time at all the work was complete with very little discomfort. Having the TV in the ceiling was also beneficial to take my mind off things. It was certainly one of the best experiences having fillings done for a while (if having fillings can be described as this!) Steph and Chelsea on reception were friendly and pleasant to talk to and were always professional. Two visits to see hygienist Megan was also no problem. I didn’t find the practice pushy in any way (something that was definitely present somewhere else) and all the treatment suggested I feel was justified. I’ll be coming back for some more treatment and aim to keep this practice going forward.

Fantastic experience: After a bad experience 7 years ago with a dentist my dental anxieties were quite debilitating. After registering with confident dental I would recommend them to everyone. My first visit was a very calm one (even though I was a bit of a sweaty mess) with the hygienist Megan and an assistant. I’ve now been for a hygiene clean twice - both times completely pain free cleaning with a very friendly vibe from all staff. Dentist Chris was very informative of treatments offered and which ones would be beneficial for me and my wants. Both visits have had Steph on reception and she’s just the person you want to be greeted by if you’re feeling a tad nervous. Friendly smile, makes you laugh and really relatable. The payment plans offered are well worth the money too and you can increase/decrease the plan depending on your budgets. I couldn’t fault the confident dental team/practice in any way! If you’ve had a bad experience or are generally nervous when it comes to your teeth and gums, this is the place you’ll want to register with :)

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my own dentist to the Cleevelands Branch and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. I was contacted on the same day of them receiving the referral to arrange an appointment and was offered one within a few days of contact. On arrival, I was greeted warmly by the reception team and didn’t have to wait long to be taken through for a scan. In fact I was leaving before my actual appointment time was due! Everyone I spoke to or met have been so welcoming and professional. I would highly recommend Confident Dental & Implant Clinic!

Fantastic experience: Excellent, professional and informative experience during my 1st year at Confident Dental Clinic.(CDC) My daughter required 2 wisdom teeth removed (missed by my former dentist but caused discomfort and pain). CDIC were absolutely brilliant looking after her, calm and empathetically every step of the way, completed with precision to minimise the discomfort of the procedure to give a quick recovery. Very happy and would sincerely recommend this superb dental practice.

Negative experience: What and absolute cheek this company has. After visiting they invite you to leave a 5 star review on Google but if your review is anything less than 5 stars they invite you to phone their customer services to discuss. No wonder every review online is a glowing 5 stars. There is no room for 1 or 2 stars or even 3 or 4 stars. They want it to look like they only get glowing 5 star reviews across the board. Completely untrustworthy and deceptive. As it happens I visited today and my review is not 5 stars. However, it looks as though I will only be granted a cosy chat to discuss why.

Fantastic experience: I popped in to request an appointment for a second opinion on a lump in my mouth. The receptionist couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Got me an appointment for the following Monday and offered it complimentary which was amazing. She also offered for me to bring my nervous toddler along and was incredibly sweet with her offering a sticker and making her smile and relax. Saw the dentist who was professional, understanding and thorough, and helped explain what the issue was (my normal dentist couldn’t identify it). Couldn’t rate them highly enough and I’ll be switching to them for future check ups! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I’m a very nervous patient having never needed dental work previously. I went for a second opinion and to discuss sedation and Dr Chris was fab! Not only was he extremely thorough with his examination, but he also confirmed that the dental work previously recommended was not necessary and gave me some preventative measures instead (saving me a small fortune!) Welcoming, friendly and super clean! May be more expensive than others but the best money I have ever spent on my teeth.

Nobody likes going to the Dentist but in all honesty this was a pleasant experience. The reception staff were friendly, helpful, professional. The Dentist I saw Chris, was just great as was the Nurse, Chelsea. It was next level, new generation staff and surroundings and even having injections and work done was not at all stressful. Fantastic experience: An excellent experience going to the dentist!! Right from the very welcoming reception to having two wisdom teeth out. The dentist explained the procedure very well and he and the dental nurse put me at total ease. I was nervous about the numbing injections but I hardly felt a thing!! I hadn’t even realised they had taken the first one out until they told me, and the procedure was over a lot quicker than I thought it would be. Everything was done very professionally and I wouldn’t hesitate to visit them again.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental implant done here last year and was very happy with my experience. All the staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly and Dr Neil put me at ease instantly. He was very informative regarding the ongoing treatment and there was very little pain. Compared to a previous implant done 5 years ago elsewhere, this was an almost a pleasure Other reviews have mentioned the pricing but this is a brand new building with the most up to date equipment I have seen and worth the money. I can not recommend them enough.

My Invisalign journey started with a complimentary scan and consultation in clinic with Hannah. Hannah was very professional and provided me with detailed information and suggested that Dr Chris would be perfectly suited to carry out my treatment. 12 weeks ago I started my Invisalign treatment with Dr Chris who is fantastic, I felt comfortable and at ease throughout. I could track my progress via a 3D simulated treatment plan that he created for me. I felt comfortable and relaxed knowing that I could ask as many questions as required. I was able to check in frequently throughout my journey with Dr Chris and Paige his Dental Nurse who also was extremely helpful and professional. My journey really was seamless, I am very grateful for the results I have received. Thank you once again.

The whole experience from start to finish was delivered by Dr Colin Neil with clear information on procedures, expected outcomes and good after care. Although this work was carried out during Covid, I felt completely safeguarded and great hygiene procedures were in place to protect all of us. The dental work was relatively pain free and my health wasn't compromised at all. I would highly recommend Confident Dental Clinic.

Fantastic experience: Spotting the surgery on my exit from a nurse apt I gritted my teeth (scuse the pun) and made an apt. I'm a nervous patient but oh my goodness! what an experiemce. From first consultation with Dr Gravenell to my first hygenist apt with Jocelyn I felt so comfortable and important. Time to talk with a step by step guide and tailor made programme. A big shout out to Paige too who was there with me every step of the way, even walking through a great payment plan. A lifetime fear of dentistry is just gone!! Absolutely thrilled and not worried about returning. First ever for me and I've neen the private route before. Easy access and ample free parking so no stresses. TV on the ceilings to boot and who doesn't love a bit of Fleetwood Mac. It's got my vote every time.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr Colin Neil for wisdom tooth extraction (with sedation) because the procedure was too complicated for my NHS dentist to undertake. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received from Dr Neil and his team throughout; they were all extremely professional, polite, friendly and helpful. I couldn’t recommend using them enough.

Fantastic experience: has been visiting Confident Dental and Implant Clinic a few times with my daughter, both of us like this clinic, its equipped with modern facilities, which is very rare to see in this neighborhood. The Orthodontist and Hygienist both are satisfying professionals, meet my expectations! The receptionists are very welcoming and helpful, which is again, rare to see. We enjoyed the visits, glad we made the decision of choosing Confident Dental.
