Fantastic experience: Great Dental Practice! Very friendly and professional staff, helpful receptionists, pleasant modern surroundings. I visit every three months to keep my periodontal disease in check - Dean does an excellent job deep cleaning for me, and gives good advice. I see Simon every six months and he too is very thorough, professional and approachable. Few people actually enjoy visiting their dentist but I do…sort of! Great selection of magazines in reception

Fantastic experience: I booked an emergency appointment through 247dentist, who were lovely, and gave me options for day/time. Once at the dentist there was plenty of street parking (7pm) I saw Rebecca and Rachel who were brilliant. Very professional and polite. They explained everything that was being done before they started. I had to have an extraction in the end and it was quite a difficult one I think, I didn't feel any pain at all, the dentist kept talking so that I knew what was going on and what to expect. She was awesome. I'm very happy with the service and as far as dentistry goes, I think the price was fair. Will definitely go again. (Hopefully not too soon though!)

Fantastic experience: I have only recently started using Hartley Dental Practice. Absolutely amazing. The facilities are phenomenal and the admin staff are very efficient. The dental care and support is exemplary, always there to offer advice and respond to questions regarding suggested treatment. Lots will say it is expensive, but in my opinion, you most definitely are getting ‘bang for your Buck’ from this team. I highly recommend them if you’re thinking of dental work, or even just a check up.

Fantastic experience: I needed a root canal procedure which meant I was required to return for several sessions which is the norm. Each visit was flawless. The team are professional, warm and very welcoming. I trusted their expertise at every step of the way and I'm very pleased with the outcome. The practice is very clean and the staff will put you at ease if you have any anxieties or doubts.

Fantastic experience: I've only been with Hartley Dental for a few months, but all the team have been exceptional. I came to them as a pretty extreme case, and have undergone several procedures, all have been carried out perfectly, I've been made to feel comfortable and included, and the recovery has been really easy. Its less than 48hrs since I had 8 teeth extracted and a denture fitted, and there's nearly no pain or discomfort at all, which is testiment to the skill of Dr Dimple. I have complete confidence in them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I felt so well looked after from the moment I walked into Hartley Dental for my appointment with Dr. Simon Poyner. It was lovely entrance through a peaceful garden and then met with the smiling faces of Molly and Wednesday. I felt so comfortable and the waiting area was bright, cheery and relaxing. Dr Poyner met me and walked me through several options and I was extremely happy with that. I saw the sense in the insurance plan and am now insured. I have two teeth that I was certain would have to be removed and Dr Simon said no to that as he could work on them and save them! Dr Simon really does make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Very superb dentistry indeed and I've had a dentist in (smiley shiny teeth California) for years. I honestly know I have found my best and most caring Dentist ever. Thank you all David Saunders Addition. I had my teeth cleaned and taken care of by Janie on 14/06/2022 and it was terrific! I am usually a bag of nerves here but was quite calm which was most pleasing. Janie did a couple of things (I didn't know about) to my two back teeth that have been aching a bit at night and they are now not aching :) Splendid! I have already booked my next visit to Janie. Fantastic experience: This is the best dental office and team of professionals that I’ve ever been a patient of. Dentists Simon and Dimple, and Beth on Reception, plus dental assistant Laura, are all exceptional, plus all the other staff. My first appointment, for an overall assessment of my oral health, was very thorough and a cracked tooth was discovered, which had been missed by my last dental office just six months earlier. My teeth cleaning on the same day was the best one I’ve ever had! (Need I say more?) I am so glad I found and have chosen Hartley Dental. Superb!

Negative experience: I was really excited to join this dentist as it looked great for nervous patients, paid the £25 for the video consultation, guy was nice but basically said if it doesn't hurt a bit during your appointment they're not being thorough enough which didn't leave me feeling very calm about it all but I can appreciate what he was saying. The previous dentist I've had has been ever so gentle and didn't hurt me in any appointments, perhaps he wasn't being 'thorough' enough. So then I was happy to pay the £149 initial appointment to see the dentist which then I was told I could go on the payment plan. I was paying £27 at my last dentist a month so I knew the plan was fine for me to go on. However while booking my initial appointment, the receptionist informed me I would need a hygienist appointment as well to even be considered for the plan which was £155 so around £300+ all together to get into the dentist. This left me upset as I just couldn't afford another £155 for the hygienist which I said to the receptionist. There was no mention of this on their website about having to pay for this before you could go on the plan otherwise I wouldn't have paid the £25 for a video consultation knowing that. Anyway I said to the receptionist I couldn't afford the hygienist appointment on top of this and she was very quick to delete my portal online and hang up. I understand these charges are necessary but it would have been nice to see it laid out on the website or the receptionist be a little kinder about the situation or found a way to make it work. I've been upset over this as it looked like a great dentist which I would have loved to have been on the plan for. Thanks anyway.

Fantastic experience: Back at the Hartley dental practice a few days ago . While waiting I was given a delicious cup of fresh coffee. And the option to read a wide selection of current popular magazines. While sitting on a comfortable settee in a top notch waiting room. If not for covid I would have arrived much earlier for my appointment. Here’s the kicker though a friendly team very professional you know you that all aspects of your dental health is going to be totally looked after. In the practice of mindfulness they say be kind to yourself I am certainly meeting that goal with Charlie and his team . Bravo Zulu to them.

Fantastic experience: Charlie's dentistry is a lot like Jean Claude Van Damme's dancing in the Kickboxer bar scene. Powerfully effortless; gracefully precise. And much like Jean Claude Van Damme's dancing in the Kickboxer bar scene, he has changed my life for the better. My teeth were a rag-tag, hodge-bodge, loose collection of nobodies; and now they are a tight, well drilled and proud unit, ready to take on the world. In addition to this, the staff are all friendly and informational. Yes they all have to wear masks now because of bloody covid, but their eyes smile and that's what matters. Five stars isn't enough for this practice! God bless them, every one.

Fantastic experience: Been going to the Hartley Dental team this past year and I can't speak highly enough of them. Charlie is a great dentist cares about what he does and has taken great care of my teeth after me not going for a few years. Advised me of a treatment plan and results have been great. Dean does a great job on the hygiene front and nothing is to much trouble . Can honestly say my teeth have never looked so good. Special mention to the lovely girls on the front desk ringing me to remind me of my appointments and taking as much care of me as Charlie and Dean. All in all a great dental practice and I can't recommend them enough....Martin

Fantastic experience: Apart from some extra safety precautions, in line with the government recommendations, (which if not for covid would be regarded as over the top. For example one way system, and extractor fans in the surgery)the practice is the same excellent standard of hygiene it always has had.

I came to enjoy my appointments for fillings, crowns and root canal because of the care from all the team. Charlie's witty banter and musical knowledge was entertaining even with the most complex procedures taking place. I always feel at ease and one of the Hartley Dental Practice family. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Fantastic experience: After attending many different dentist practices in the city who left me scared, in pain and usually crying I came across Hartley Dental, I booked an appointment very easily, the reception team are lovely, on the day the usual nerves kicked in, shakes, gippy tummy but I managed to get there, the team made me feel so comfortable it was unbelievable, they actually showed interest in me and my teeth. I have been with them since last year now, Charlie the dentist has done many different procedures on my teeth, always giving me time to relax and breath! The hygienist I go to is called Dean and he is also excellent, he is very gentle and explains everything so well. I cannot recommend this practice enough, I am no longer frightened, and my teeth no longer give me any trouble.

Charlie goes above and beyond to ensure you receive the correct treatment to give you that winning smile, and most importantly hygiene is the top of his agenda to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
