Fantastic experience: This was my first visit at this practice.All I can give them is praise, the receptionist was marvelous to start with put me at ease as I am very nervous.Once I was in the dentist chair he made me relaxed and spoke with me. I went to the dentist on 8/02/2026 they put me at ease as soon as I sat down.The dentist was a locum but she was wonderful and asked me on several occasions if I was ok .The dental nurse was so caring also put me at ease . Fantastic experience: I was scared as it was my first visit to a dentist since covid.(2020)- my old dentist retired during covid so had to find another one. I broke 2 teeth so HAD to finally pluck up courage to see a dentist. The dentist I saw was very patient and understanding. She did a very thorough examination and I have to go back for fillings. She made me feel at ease. Paula on reception was lovely too, and Ive been chatting to Chelsea on reception recently who finally persuaded me to come for a check up.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been there yesterday for the very first time and I’d say they all were very nice,kind and professional. The lady at the reception desk was very friendly and polite also very good looking. The doctor and his assistant were very nice and professional, They’ve done my treatment very quick and in the best way that was possible in my opinion. I am very happy and satisfied with their work. I would definitely recommend them.

Positive experience: The actual visit was very good, I got what wanted quickly. The process of getting an appointment leaves a lot to be desired. A better telephone system would help. The current system is both obstructive and extremely insulting.

Fantastic experience: Recently had root canal procedure and crown fitted. Receptionist was very professional, supportive and friendly. Procedure carried out by Eddie. Again, very professional clearly explained my options, procedure and costs forming my personal treatment plan. Eddie and his very supportive assistant made my procedure as painless as practically possible. My outcome was very positive, pain free. Thank you to all staff for a pleasant experience.

Positive experience: Was seen & had appropriate treatment which was satisfactory apart from feeling the needle that hurt & having to return as wasntc explained to how to take out my denture & put back in. I've tried but didnt want to damage the new denture thats why I gave the 4 star rating.

Fantastic experience: After struggling to find a dentist in the area for a year since moving here, I managed to find Townend and within least than a week of enquiring and sending the form to register, I received a call to make my appointment and was in less than 24 hours later. I usually hate the dentist but the reception staff, nurse and dentist were all friendly and welcoming and put me at ease. I was seen on time and I’m super happy with the service I received. I’m booked in for my next appointment and I already know I won’t be so nervous next time. Can’t fault a single thing with my experience so far.

Fantastic experience: Had my first appointment today after not seeing a dentist for quite a while so I was more nervous then usual. The staff were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They also explained everything they were doing. They also were the only dentist accepting NHS patients in the area.

Fantastic experience: Just had my regular check up. Quick but always very thorough and took an x ray of one previously problem area. Good response to my query. Highly recommended

Negative experience: Might aswell not have bothered, in the chair for 4 mins, no clean or polish, did nothing and charged band 1 fee

Negative experience: Went for a 6mth check up very disappointing. Only had unsuccessful xray and teeth were felt to see if they wobbled. Then told book for another 6mths .28 pounds lighter with no proper check up or scrap Polish which I always had previously. Not satisfied trying to find another dentist as was told if can't get root out of tooth I need removing it be fine to leave it in. Disgusted really not happy.
