Fantastic experience: My wife and I and my 3 year old daughter recently went to this dentist for a nhs check up . It was my daughters first time at the dentist. We booked an appointment about 2 weeks ago and received a number of texts reminding us about the appointment. On the day we arrived at the dentist and after a short wait we all went together in the dentist room. We explained that this was my daughters first time at the dentist . It was decided that I should go first. My daughter was very excited to see me in the dentist chair moving about and going horizontal. The dentist gave me some sun glasses because of the bright light he was using. My daughter was very impressed to see me wearing the glasses. The dentist explained to us all what he was doing while he examined my teeth. He took 2 x rays and said my teeth were fine. Next it was my wife turn . The dentist also took some x rays of my wife teeth and it was impressive to see the x rays come up on a computer screen in a couple of minutes. He said my wife teeth were fine. Now it was my daughters turn. My daughter sat on my lap and opened her mouth for the dentist. She was not very happy when he tried to put the mirror in her mouth. So he just looked in side and said all was fine. The nurse then gave my daughter a sticker and we all left happy. 5 stars from me.

Fantastic experience: I want to say a massive thank you to Maryam & Milly. I’ve always been very anxious about going to the dentist, especially as someone with ADHD. In the past, I never felt comfortable with other hygienists or dentists, but my experience at Panshanger has been completely different. From the start, I felt listened to and supported. I was offered breaks if things felt overwhelming, and the team gave me gentle progress updates throughout, which really helped calm my nerves. They were so sensitive, understanding, and respectful of my needs as someone who is neurodiverse, and for the first time I didn’t feel like my fears were dismissed. I honestly left feeling proud of myself and so grateful to have finally found a place that truly cares about patient comfort. I can’t recommend them highly enough for anyone who struggles with dental anxiety.

Fantastic experience: Dr Adarsh Patel is very kind and knowledgeable, puts you at ease straight away. Along with his nurse are a great team. I have several long appointments booked, 3 hours yesterday and it would have been more comfortable with air-con or at least a large fan for all concerned.

Negative experience: Was discharged as a NHS patients due to cancelling 2 appointments - now this would be normal BUT 1st time I had just given birth and only been discharged from the hospital 2 days ago (gave birth early) and second time my 3 year old was rushed into A&E in London. Offered to provide proof on both occasions but the receptionist was so rude and flat out was like no you’re being discharged. Humanity has gone out of the window with the receptionists here you would think they invested big money.

Negative experience: The owner who is a doctor there undertook a treatment which he was unwilling to do. As a result, he damaged the enamel of some of my teeth after postponing my appointments for months.

Fantastic experience: Dr Rustom Moopen was wonderful throughout all my treatment I’ve been seeing him for nearly 10 years now and he’s a great dentist and is always honest about treatment. I can always get an appointment when needed it’s a lovely practice and great treatments are provided here by him.

Negative experience: They cancelled my appointment on the day 3 times in a row despite me paying a £50 deposit. So I’ve used 2 full days holiday from work for something that should’ve been half a day. They tried to overcharge me £40 more than I’d been quoted which they lowered when I queried. My actual appointment started late, I could overhear they’d taken on an emergency the same day which shuffled mine back, they didn’t tell me before. Every time I’ve been before they are running at least 10 mins late, so defo don’t make the extra effort to be there early. If you’re choosing to go private and value your time I’d try elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I saw doctor Rustom Moopen recently for a filling and a crown (prep and fit) and I would like to thank him very much for his amazing job. The filling is perfect and the crown fits great. Dr Rustom Moopen is not just a great dentist, but also an artist. His passion for dentistry is obvious in all his work. He has a very gentle touch (I didn't feel the injection) also a friendly and kind way to work (being a long treatment, he permanently checked on me to see if I am ok and comfortable or if I need a break). I want to thank him and also thank his nurse for the great job, for the care and for the attention to all the details (my comfort and the final result). I highly recommend Dr Rustom Moopen as the best dentist in this area. He is definitely the only dentist who won my trust and my respect. Thank you very much, Dr. Rustom Moopen. Fantastic experience: I had a porcelain crown fitted on my front tooth. Dr Rustom Moopen is a perfectionist - and made sure he was completely satisfied with the colour match to the existing front tooth. Very happy with the outcome and the staff at the practice are very friendly too.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been using this practice for a number of years, and honestly I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. Dr. Moopen has an amazing eye for detail and does a great job - I still have a filling he done for me several years ago without any issues. First class service!

Negative experience: I joined years ago as a NHS patient. Been with them for about 16 years now. Have Ben left with an infection as they've moved me to private even though I am on PIP. Now have to look for another one to repeat the extreme pain I'm in

Fantastic experience: I first found Panshanger dental surgery when I had an abscess they were the only dentist who offered me an emergency appointment which I was so grateful for since then I’ve had regular appointments, which is always an easy task to Book, the receptionists are always polite and friendly the surgery is always very clean and my dentist is very good, he makes you feel at ease and Explains everything to you.

Fantastic experience: I have been using this practice for a number of years under its different ownership. The practitioner who has cared for me for most of the recent time is Dr Adarsh Patel. The practice has been refurbished in the last few years and is clean, bright and modern. Dr Patel, the nurses and reception staff care for me very well and I am pleased to have NHS attention when, it seems, many do not. When there was a situation that could not be dealt with under the NHS, Dr Patel has referred me to, and liaised with, appropriate private practice.

Negative experience: I recently had a bad experience with this surgery ... After cancelling an expensive (overpriced) private treatment, I was informed that the cancellation was short notice. I was informed that NHS patients are allowed 2 short notice cancellations, and are thereafter removed from the patient list. A few minutes later, I was called by the surgery, and told that I would be fined £90 for the cancellation. I said that I wasn't aware of this rule, and had never agreed to be bound by it. I was then told either to pay up, reinstate the appointment, or I'd be immediately removed from the patient list! Shocking to spring this "fine" on a patient without prior agreement! Update: Regarding the "Dear David" response from the practice (Below). The practice manager Kirsten (Since we're apparently on first name terms) was authorised to offer me a 50% discount on the so-called "fine" (You know - like when the council give you an early payment discount on a parking ticket). I declined this on principle, since I believe it to be wrong. Just because dental places are hard to come by doesn't mean we patients are obliged to tolerate this gangsterish behaviour!

Fantastic experience: An amazing practice, super efficient. I had a major tooth repair which involved constructing a post and then a crown. All done within one sitting on the day. Could not be happier with the end result. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: Good service, but appointment times often changed without communication. Been attending for a number of years and the availability and quality of medical service in great. I would have given 5 stars for this alone, but on a number of occasions the appointment times booked were moved by 10mins (usually later) with no communication or cancelled by them after which I received messages indicating that check-up was overdue and if I didn't make contact they would remove me from the register. This needs attention.

Fantastic experience: I have used PDP for a few years and although I don't like the dental treatment they always make me feel at ease. I had to be put to sleep at previous practices but not here. I would recommend that if you are like me and fear the dentist, give them a try. They have plenty of patience and listen which to me is very important.

Senior and associate dentists are kind and compassionate while carrying out treatments and look after your well being if nervous. He also removed a really troublesome tooth for me, which has immediately improved my life.
