The Dental Centre - Rustington

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this Dental Surgery for many years. I'm very nervous of Dentists but this one I always feel comfortable. The receptionists are so welcoming, kind and will go that extra mile to help you which makes you feel good. The Dentists are outstanding, if you feel nervous at all they are there to help you. The Dental nurses and Hygienist are brilliant. All and all this dental surgery is outstanding.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with the dental centre for many years, and I still get the outstanding service they give. The receptionist are kind and helpful and so understanding. Gus who is my dentist had to take a tooth out, he did an outstanding job, very gentle and if he knows you’re nervous he goes that extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Fantastic experience: Excellent Dental Surgery. The receptionist Zoe is very friendly and welcoming and my Dentist Mr. Kapilan Ragunathan is welcoming calm and gentle. He explains everything to you and is very efficient. I just had a filling behind one of my front teeth and it was pain free. I'm very impressed with all the staff and the Surgery, it really is a first class service. If you are at all nervous go to The Dental Centre, they will put you at ease. Fantastic experience: First experience of private dentist. I was very apprehensive and nervous as l had previously had poor treatment by an NHS dentist. The receptionist Zoe was lovely and very reassuring. Gus my dentist was great and explained everything in good detail about the treatment l needed. All in all l felt very relieved and positive about the service l received.

Fantastic experience: I was able to get a same day appointment which was brilliant as I was in a lot of pain. From arranging this with Zoe the receptionist to the appointment itself I couldn’t fault any of it. The whole procedure was clearly explained and wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic clinic, I am an extremely nervous patient and haven't been to the dentist in 19 years!!!! But had an emergency when my front tooth cracked over Easter, I filled the online form in then was contacted to say I could be seen the next day. After a very sleepless night and lots of anxiety, I went to my appointment, for a check to see what could be done. The very next day I had my tooth fixed and now all is absolutely great. Would highly recommend the clinic and the staff are lovely

Fantastic experience: Everyone is really friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and treatments are carefully explained. The dental plans offered are good value and customised to suit different patients' needs. This is easily the best dental practice I have ever used and I would recommend it 100%.

Fantastic experience: In the last two months I have had two large filling , I was amazed what difference it made not just to my teeth but my life , I can now enjoy my food again , the dental treatment was great , and the first dentist I have been to who did my filling with out pain and very little discomfort. I can thoroughly recommend this practice. And all the staff are polite and very caring , for me it’s now not a problem to visit the dentist.

Fantastic experience: When you get toothache what you really need is somewhere to go where you are treated with dignity, respect and kindness. To have a professional carry out a thorough examination and provide a painless operation. That is exactly what I received from the Rustington Dentist in Sainsbury’s. The booking process was very simple and friendly, the receptionist is excellent, welcoming and friendly with a good sense of humour. Dr Kapilan Ragunathan, the Dentist and his able assistant also made me feel welcome and the examination feedback was excellent, showing me what the problem was. The tooth extraction was painless, hardly felt the injection. By far this is my best dental experience in the 70 years of attending dentists. Dr Kapilan Ragunathan Is now my preferred Dentist. Fantastic experience: I recently had to visit the Dentist Practice to smooth a lower front tooth that was crumbling leaving a sharp edge. I was accommodated within 24 hours. Very happy with the reception and dental service. .

Fantastic experience: Been coming to this dentist for the best part of a decade (used to be called centre for dentistry) Very welcoming staff and always been accommodating to any appointment changes. Dr Ragunathan is a great dentist and although I do not suffer from any fears around going to the dentist his calming presence would definitely help if I did! Very personable too and makes an effort to make conversation and remember things about my life from when we would last speak 6 months prior . My main concern around dentists is that they will try and sell you a treatment that you don't need, but the team here really do not make me feel this way, and when I need a filling I know that's because either definitely needed!!

Fantastic experience: After reading good reviews, I contacted The Dental Centre within Sainsbury's Rustington. After discussing my problem with a very pleasant lady,I had an appointment with Dr Barbosa. As a very nervous patient I immediately felt at ease with him. After a checkup and xrays it was decided I needed a back tooth extracted. Two days later I saw Helen Carter Hygienist who again put me totally at ease excellent treatment. Returned to Dr Barbosa two days later and had the extraction done. Totally pain free! I had to ask if he had taken it out. From my first contact to my treatment being completed and the two different receptionists I met who were both lovely ladies and very knowledgeable. Fantastic experience: Having had a bad dental experience as a child I was petrified of having a extraction yesterday. However the procedure and after care was so good, I have completely lost my fear of visiting the dentist. Thank you Gus and Zoe for restoring my faith.

Fantastic experience: I went for my "New patients" appointment with Gus at Rustington. I was very impressed with the friendly and professional service from all concerned. After a thorough inspection, x-rays were taken and Gus explained the results, in great detail, in an easy to follow manner. It's been a while since my last checkup (whilst living in Hampshire) and the result was that I need a small filling and a scale+polish. I was offered one of the dental plans that cover the cost of checkups and scale+polish to suit maintenance needs plus a discount on future dental work. I selected a plan that suited me, and although the initial inspection is at extra cost, the follow up work is included. It was a very friendly, calm and reassuring experience, thank you Gus and Zoe.

Fantastic experience: After a horrible experience years ago, I hadn't been to a dentist in years. The Dental Centre was recommended to me and they are the best! From the lovley reception team (Zoe and Olivia especially!) Kap, who made me trust dentists again, the lovely dental nurses and Kray, who has given me a smile to die for! I cannot recommend these guys highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Urusha cleaned my teeth yesterday and was very very good. I am very nervous when it comes to a dental appointment, but she made me feel calm and also took breaks whilst cleaning and kept asking if I was okay it was a 10 out of 10 appointment.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dentist I have ever been too and found all the staff especially Urusha the hygienist to be informative and gave me great advice about taking care of my now gleaming teeth.

Fantastic experience: I have no hesitation in recommending this practice. I went to Rustington TDC last week in sheer desperation after having a deep filling done by my original dentist which had resulted in my being in terrible pain which no over counter painkillers could help. My original dentist wasn’t at all helpful , he didn't properly investigate the problem, insisted it was just my jaw aching from his treatment session and sent me away with antibiotics which didn’t work. The receptionists at Rustington TDC showed great concern for me, arranging an appointment really the following day with Gus. Gus was very patient, taking time and care to diagnose the problem. With the help of X-rays and his knowledge and experience he was able to determine that my problem was damage to the pulp/nerve from the recent filling which had gone too deep. He prescribed a specific painkiller which was suitable for me and help reduce the inflammation of the pulp. After 7 days of constant severe pain I finally got relief within 15 mins of taking the medication. He also reduced the bite of the filling which was too high which made my tooth more comfortable. He also prescribed a different antibiotic which was specifically for inflammation at a deeper level. He is now overseeing root cable treatment on my behalf. My husband and I have now signed up with this practice for their annual dental plan.

Fantastic experience: The Dental Centre have been amazing so far. They arranged for me to have an emergency appointment when my tooth chipped. My old dentist couldn't offer an appointment until 3 weeks later but The Dental Centre were able to see my the next day. They were able to save my tooth and made it look better than it did before. I have now signed up with them.

Fantastic experience: Looking for a dentist and I came across The Dental Centre which had amazing reviews and comments, highly recommended and I am so grateful, being an anxious & nervous person I was very agitated about having to go to a dentist, but after speaking with the team I was reassured with confidence and after my visit I was satisfied and felt completely at ease, so for anyone who is like me, anxious or nervous and dislikes having to go the dentist, I would recommend The Dental Centre without hesitation, everyone is so friendly, Thank you again ; )

Fantastic experience: I can’t rate The Dental Centre highly enough! I had a dental emergency and called them first thing at 8am and they were able to see me shortly after an hour later! They were so welcoming from the first minute that I got there and really put me at ease. The actual place itself is easy to locate and very convenient with the parking but the staff are the ones who made the whole experience so positive. The Doctor saw me on time and talked me through what they were going to do and I felt like they were credibly explaining everything throughout the process. At the end of the appointment the Doctor actually came with me back to reception to talk me through the treatment plan, which I thought was a nice touch because usually in dental practices you just get ushered out. I really felt like they all were willing to invest their time to ensure I was happy with the outcome and understood everything. I need to go back again in a few weeks and it’s so reassuring to know I will be welcome and treated by fantastic professionals and even better people. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: What a dentist they are 5 stars all the way I hate dentist with a passion and I needed and emergency appointment and sore me 3 hours after phoning up even though I was registered with them. I sore the dentist explained I don’t like dentist and some past experiences and the dentist was so reassuring and gentle even on a stubborn tooth that didn’t want to be pulled. 4 days later when still in pain they asked me to come in and see them again. They explained why I was still In pain and even took the time to help fix the issue ( dry socket ) I can not recommend them enough and will be back for further treatment.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at The Dental Centre for several years. The professional and office staff are all very friendly and highly efficient and I have found my care over the years to have been excellent. The monthly care plan is good value for money. On one occasion the dentist found a potential problem with one of my teeth and he contacted Worthing Hospital immediately where within a few days I had the offending tooth removed promptly. At the very least it would be been very painful if prompt action had not been taken! I recommend the dentist Gus and his team without reservation.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing experience. It was my sons first time at the dentist and I'm terrified so tried to stay calm for him. They had so much time for him and the ladies gave him snuggles. Made his first time really lovley. The dentist even though I'm not registered with them gave me some really useful information about my own dental care that I had concerns over. Fantastic experience: I don’t know where to start!!! Background - I’ve not been to a dentist for about 15years out of shear terror - having only ever experienced the worst pain. I had to have my appointment booked for me as I feel scared even talking about “dentist”. HOWEVER, I turned up today and from the moment I walked into reception I was greeted warmly and the reception staff were aware and extremely gentle and caring and supportive of me. Still terrified I then went into “the Room”, but instead of “the demon dentist” I was welcome by a really human, caring and understanding dentist (Paula - she’s an angel!) and dental nurse (I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name!). Paula discussed and explained everything to me so clearly, and then checked my teeth (1st time ever that there was no pain at all at a simple check!!!). There were things found that need doing to my sheer HORROR - but they explained it all very calmly, clearly and reassuringly. I came back later that day to have the most difficult filling done (admittedly having spent the day panicking and shaking) - once again all the staff were so genuinely supportive and caring - and I don’t understand what Paula did different to EVERY other dentist I’d ever seen before, but I had the filling done with local anaesthetic (not my first) - but unlike all other times …..NO PAIN AT ALL!!!!! I feel shattered now from all my worry, which really does appear to have been for so little - the only way I could have done it (and had it done so exceptionally well) is thanks to Paula and the amazing team here! If you’re scared, frightened or phobic of going to the dentist - I really recommend coming here - THEY ARE AMAZING!

Fantastic experience: Great dental practice. I attended an appointment with Dr Kapilan Ragunathan, & brought my 2 year old daughter along to help her feel comfortable with dentists. As usual everyone was so welcoming. My daughter watched my check up & clean (which was brilliant, as it always is), then had her own check up. Not only did she receive 2 stickers, but her own little “dentist mirror”. This made her day! She fell asleep clutching it after playing dentist all evening, it was such a lovely touch to give her one. Definitely a dental practice that goes above & beyond what is expected. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I felt I needed to share my experience because I know others have the same fears as me about the dentist. I hadn't been in over 15 years and as soon as I set food into the dental center I crumbled, floods of tears and shaking - totally terrified of anything to do with dentistry. They didn't waste any time to make me feel at ease. When having the the procedure they explained everything as they went and kept reassuring me I was being looked after. They allowed me to take my time and made sure I got home safely with a wellness call. I honestly couldn't recommend this practice enough, I will be going back once I have healed and also take my children here to avoid any fears that I have. Thank you to all the team today ❤️

Cassandra, I have only seen you once as an emergency and on this visit I felt well looked after and reassured. I don’t know all the dental nurses by name but thank you also for everything you do. Last but not least, Kray and Kaps, what can I say, I can’t fault you and I think you are both amazing! You are obviously really talented and passionate about what you do. The standard of your work and the care I have received is exceptional and I have a 100% confidence in you both and I always feel completely safe in your hands. I feel I have to mention Kray’s great personality and sense of humour. Not only do these qualities benefit me as his patient but I can feel that they also have a hugely positive effect on the whole of the team. I can’t thank everyone at this dental surgery enough for all their kindness, advice and for the high standard of treatment I am receiving on my teeth and gums. Thank you!

She’s so kind and friendly and an asset to the practice always ready to give help and advice. I have been offered free dental treatment elsewhere,but feel I’d like to stay with what I know best, as I’ve not had the best experience in the past with NHS Dentists who have been ‘drill happy’ and unnecessarily drilled perfectly good teeth. Kap has never done this and is very good with me as a patient as I’m scared of the Dentist and he puts me at ease. I’d recommend this practice and as I’m happy with Kap I intend to stay.

Fantastic experience: Well, it comes to something when you have to ask the orthodentist (Doc Kray) if a tooth has actually been extracted because you didn't feel a thing. I've spent a couple of years wandering around various dentists in the area after becoming unhappy with the one I'd used for years, but couldn't find one I felt entirely comfortable with. Then I took a chance with the Dental Centre. No upselling, evidence-based treatment done extremely well and a friendly atmosphere. Doc Kass and the nurses I've met so far are also lovely and professional. And obviously not forgetting Zoe and Tracey on reception who know how to speak to people properly and give everyone a friendly welcome. I'm a very happy patient. Thank-you.

Even the temporary crowns I have had before the real crowns are aesthetically pleasing. The care and attention to detail that Cassandra and her dental assistants give is superb.
