Negative experience: Booked for a service but They didn't do it. Acted clueless and really annoying.

Negative experience: Terrible dentist. Cancel appointment ten when I did get to see the dentist he couldn’t do the filling and I then had to go back again, went back and he did the filling he didn’t do it right, so I had to go back again. He trimmed the filling so I could eat properly, then a day later half of it fell out, I then had to go back again to have it redone, he then took more of my good tooth out and made the filling bigger. A year later and half has fell out again so I’m off to a decent dentist now, this lot have ruined my tooth. Very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Had a chipped front tooth and Dr Naina Hasan spent time giving me options and explaining what she could do. I opted for the veneers and she's done an incredible job. Very pleased with the results. She makes you feel at ease and probably one of the best dentist I've ever seen. The receptionist are very polite and helpful too

Negative experience: I recently brought my elderly father, who is in his early 70s, to see Dr. Morad Shafy due to discomfort and pain caused by a previously broken filling. We had hoped for a straightforward and compassionate solution, ideally a replacement filling to ease his pain and allow him to eat and drink comfortably. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing and upsetting. Dr. Shafy was dismissive from the start and showed little empathy. When I explained my father’s pain and the need for a filling, he refused outright, saying it would just fall out again, something we already understood. It is, of course, logical that fillings wear down over time. Rather than offering a practical solution, he suggested a mouthguard and even stated the price, which we made clear was not the issue. We were looking for a solution, not a sales pitch. When I pointed out that a mouthguard isn’t practical because my father can’t eat or drink with it, he giggled in a mocking tone, which felt incredibly disrespectful given the context. At no point did he offer a suitable alternative or express any genuine concern for my father’s discomfort. Instead, he told us that if we were not happy with his service, we could “go to other doctors,” without any helpful suggestions or referrals. In stark contrast, my mother-in-law had faced the same issue and was treated at Smile Dental, where the filling was done without hesitation and handled with professionalism, empathy, and respect. That experience only highlighted how poorly we were treated in comparison. Moreover, reading Dr. Shafy’s profile on the clinic’s website, which describes him as friendly and patient-focused, was honestly disappointing. As our experience did not reflect those qualities at all. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share this experience. This experience has left us deeply disappointed, and I hope it is taken seriously so that other families don’t have to go through the same. Elderly patients deserve respect, and families deserve to be heard, not mocked or brushed aside.

Fantastic experience: Sonal was brilliant yesterday. I lead a busy work life and had to go for a check up after visiting the hygienist who advised i had a hole in one of my teeth. Sonal gave me a check up, 2 xrays and offered to do the filling there and then, saving me another trip and time off work. I was thrilled. no pain, prompt and very nice service. The surgery has also said they are interested in free Dementia training that I can offer. Brilliant. thanks

Fantastic experience: I am a nervous visitor to the dentist bit went to see the hygenist today and she was amazing. I needed a thorough clean and there was no pain at all. She gave good advice and was very reassuring.

Fantastic experience: The practice is clean and welcoming. The communication is very good, with reception calling a day or so before my appointment to give me an appointment reminder. I was seen by Dr Gurveen Kalsi, assisted by dental nurse Sam. Both were so lovely, with great communication throughout. They worked quickly and efficiently, but I felt they still delivered such a high level of care and attention to detail. Overall a very professional service provided to a high standard while putting me at ease and prioritising my comfort and peace of mind. Thanks all, I’ll definitely return.

Obviously over time things have had there ups and downs, however on the whole my treatment as always been OK as an NHS patient. The personnel were highly professional, and Practitioner Gurveen Nagi was exceptionally calm, reassuring, patient, and thorough in explaining every step of the procedure. The treatment itself was painless and meticulously performed by both dentists. I would recommend their services 1000 times over!

Fantastic experience: I have used Affinity Dental Clinic regularly for many years, recently I need some emergency treatment, that could not have been more helpful, I was examined with in a few hours of calling, the treatment I received was second to none, they took time to explain the options available to me, treatment was then carried out and I was made pain free, I would recommend Affinity Dental Clinic to any one .

Fantastic experience: Had a check up and following that I had some dental work on my teeth by dentist Morad Shafy and I couldn’t fault a thing. Very informative, made the whole experience calm (as I can be quite nervous at the dentist), talked through every step he did as he was doing it and overall just made me feel relaxed and at ease. The receptionist ladies are also so lovely, friendly and professional.

Negative experience: Very rude front office staff!!

Negative experience: Very Rude staff and they are just looking for the opertunity if any one comes late to appointment by 5-6 mins, they cancel the appointment and don't refund the appointment fees. Someone is coming to this clinic for first time, will need 10 minutes. While booking appointment, they don't tell these things on phone purposely..

Negative experience: Disorganized place. They charge the fee from my card before even I go. Just at the time of making appointment. And on the appointment day I had to take half day off but they cancelled the last minute. When I called to reschedule the appointment they tell me to come 8 days later. Disappointing place. And to get the fee back I need to wait 5 days.

Fantastic experience: Morad is an exceptionally skilled dentist with extensive experience in dental implants. He placed implants for my mother, and the entire experience was seamless and positive. From the initial consultation to the final placement, Dr. Morad handled each step with expertise and care. He took the time to explain every part of the process, answered all our questions, and made sure my mother felt comfortable throughout. The procedure itself was smooth, and her recovery was quicker than expected. I highly recommend Dr. Morad for anyone considering dental implants!

Fantastic experience: Have been going to affinity since this year after struggling to find an NHS dentist. The reception team are lovely bright and smiley. My dentist is Anita and she too is a lovely kind and understanding lady, i do fear anything to do with dental work but Anita is very understanding and will do everything she can to make me comfortable. Since coming here I’ve had 3 fillings and tooth extraction. All of which was done smoothly, I highly recommend this dental clinic to anyone in needs

Positive experience: Dentist himself seemed nice enough, although i would question his pricing. i have two cavities on the front of my two teeth and every 10 years roughly the fillings deteriorate and need changing, however this dentist said its cosmetic and would cost over £800 (that's just for a one filling!!) its ALWAYS been NHS covered by two different practice’s but this Clinic says different! And then there is the receptionist.. after waiting in line to find out if i owed any money the receptionist completely ignored the fact i had been standing there a while and ask the people that had just walked in if she could help them, to which i interrupted, as i was next and just needed to know if i owed any money.. you would have thought i had just asked her to knock her own teeth out with a sledge hammer. the attitude stunk!! she really did let the team down. I took a star away for the price fibbing & another away for misog on the front desk. other than that they was on time with appointment which is a positive.

Fantastic experience: Have waited years on wait list for NHS dentist and despite the 3 hours drive there and back - this is the most caring and compassionate not to mention professional practice and staff - Naina and Alex and their staff are amazing They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and are engaging and friendly throughout talking through each step Thank you all so much

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment at Affinity today with Morad Shafy. I had travelled to Basildon from Norfolk as it was my closest NHS dentist and I had just been quoted nearly £900 for 6 fillings. Morad and the dental nurse (I didn’t catch her name, sorry!) were both so lovely! I had a full examination and an x-ray and was told my teeth are in good health and that any fillings I was quoted for were for aesthetic purposes and not for the health of my teeth - aka a private dentist trying to rip me off! I was so glad I made the journey. The waiting area was busy but I was seen exactly on time and felt I had a proper exam instead of someone just glancing in my mouth. I would highly recommend this dentist.

Fantastic experience: Nice prompt service from these guys :), A nice relaxed friendly atmosphere. They take NHS patients here and I recommend them. Only draw back is the car part is a 5 to 10 min walk away via the high street. But service is great so a small price to pay in my opinion

He needed to have a small filling and Anitha really went the extra mile, explaining everything in child-friendly terms and showing him all the instruments, testing them out on his hand etc. Her manner made all the difference and he sat brilliantly. Fantastic experience: The best dentist appointment I have ever had. Morad Shafty was very attentive and answered all my questions. I had a list of concert free being unable to find a dentist post lockdown and they completely put me at ease. The front desk was also very friendly and the whole place was clean.

Negative experience: I have come down with man flue so at 11am Friday I rang to cancel my Monday afternoon appointment and get told that due to not giving 48hours notice I loose my deposit!!!! Bet they fill the time slot not as if I just didn’t turn up

Negative experience: I have had 3 appointments at this dentist and I found them not so caring. In and out and pay your money. No taking time to explain other options just want to charge you for the most expensive option. I had a tooth out the other day and no care to see if you ok just done and out you go. I was very shakey after it and nobody asked if you alright, just take your money and done. I won't be going back.

Negative experience: Tried to book an NHS appointment and was told that I couldn't unless I paid them £25. I explained I'm entitled to free NHS dental treatment so legally do not have to pay anything and was told I still could not book unless I paid £25 and that I would be refunded by them when I arrive for my appointment in 4 to 6 weeks time. Ridiculous during a cost of living crisis.

Fantastic experience: Honestly, I was beyond nervous as I hadn’t been to the dentist in so long. Booking the appointment, no struggle getting through, every person has been so polite and helpful. The dentist themselves was so non-judgemental & went at my pace! Booked my next appointment for a week later, made it so easy for me! Runs on time - with no delays. If you’re nervous to go to a dentist, this is the place for you. I have nothing bad to say about this dentist & will stick with them! Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: An outstanding practice in every way possible!! I truly can't rate highly enough the treatment or all round care and service I received!! Dr. Manuelsson is absolutely amazing and I thank him most sincerely for the work carried out and also apologise unreservedly for the extreme tardiness of my feedback!!!

Fantastic experience: I'm petrified of dentists but would recommend Morad, I had to have a root canal filling and replacement crown and cannot praise him highly enough, everyone at the clinic are very friendly.

Negative experience: Unsure of how their private patients are treated, however as an NHS patient they charged me Tier 2 for Tier 1 treatment. A quick exam and x-ray, then had to book another appointment for a 5 min clean. Efficient but treatment received not up to an acceptable standard. A little under 70 pounds and if I was in a chair for 10 minutes total I would be surprised.

Negative experience: I was extremely disappointed with this practice.This was my very first appointment with them and I was a few minutes late due to traffic.As soon as I got there,I was greeted by an impertinent receptionist who said my deposit was void even though I had a legitimate reason for being late.I recommend anyone who is looking for a dentist in the local area to avoid this practice if you don’t want a substandard dental service.

Negative experience: I am incredibly disappointed with the practice as I paid £30 deposit and when I could not make the appointment due to a family emergency I was not given the deposit back and evenif I was happy to book another appointment and use that towards my next appointment, they did not accept my valid reasons and demanded to take a full payment losing the previous deposit if I was to book another appointment. This is utterly unacceptable. I will make sure not to ever go back to this practice.

Negative experience: Have been going to Affinity for the last thirty years But have just tried to book a hygienist appointment to be told that because of the pandemic the price has gone up from £50:00 to a whopping £75:00 how can they possibly justify this please.

Fantastic experience: After the most horrendous wisdom tooth ache and not having a dentist in the area, I was surprised and relieved that I could be seen within a couple of hours. What was even more surprising is that my dentist (Pia) took the time to explain my x-ray to me so that I could understand exactly what was wrong. She also gave me some insight into other areas of my jaw and sinus anatomy which has provided me some much needed information to pass on to my GP. I had to have two wisdom teeth extracted. Everyone told me horror stories about the pulling, the bleeding and the pain and I can honestly say I didn't have any issues. Both teeth came out so painlessly that I didn't believe Pia when she told me they were gone. Yes, the local anaesthetic is uncomfortable, but no more so than any other injection. Pia is clearly a master at her art! Everyone else at the practice has been incredibly friendly, welcoming, warm and kind. I honestly haven't got a single fault. Thank you for making what could have been a hideous experience into something that was actually pretty pleasant!

Fantastic experience: The staff on reception are very friendly and efficient. My dentist, Dr Sonal Chauhan, is amazing. Very knowledgeable and extremely patient. I am not the biggest fan of going to the dentist but Dr Chauhan puts me at ease during each visit. On the occasions that I have had treatments, Dr Chauhan finishes them quickly with minimal discomfort. You can tell she loves what she does and she genuinely cares about her patients. Dr Chauhan is an amazing, caring and gentle dentist, I definitely recommend seeing her if like me, you are nervous about dental treatments, as she really puts you at ease. The dental clinic itself is extrmely well run and professional.

Fantastic experience: I took my daughter (3 years old) to see Sonal, my daughter was a little scared for no reason other than it's all new to her. Sonal and her colleagues did a fantastic job from having a toddler table and chair in reception to making her feel at ease in the dentist chair. They had my girl laughing and bouncing out of the room in no time with a smile on her face while at the same time doing a check up and providing me clear direction on what to keep doing and what I should also start doing! Really can't recommend the whole practice enough!
