Fantastic experience: Good experience overall due to the transparent approach Colin has. Every question answered and the procedures and outcomes explained. Next steps and future appointments are discussed and feedback is always sought. It sounds simple but when done this effective, it’s just a regular visit, while it’s clearly a complex dental implant procedure.

Positive experience: I had extremely difficult implant work carried out by Colin and his team as the screws on my implant had snapped. Colin explained all the procedure in detail and various options of procedure if it was not successful. The team, room and everything was really nice and everyone made you very relaxed. It was a lengthy surgery and afterwards Colin gave me products to take home and explained aftercare to me. Would highly recommend this practice!!

Fantastic experience: I started my journey with dentist Colin Gardner back in November 2023. I had lost a tooth to dental abscess that would not go away. I wanted to replace the tooth with a dental implant. After surgery and healing I got my new tooth (dental implant) on the 16th of January 2025. I am extremely happy with the care, attention to detail, how professional Colin and his staff are they makes you feel calm and safe and welcome I would highly recommend if you get overwhelmed at the dentist. I could not ask for a better journey my implant has been so successful that my friends and family are not quite sure which one is replaced it looks so good. I just want to add a huge personal thank you I am so happy to have found you Colin the whole journey was so amazing and it exceeds my expectations the results are fabulous I never thought it would look so natural.

Negative experience: I went to see Colin as I'd had been having tooth pain for a few weeks. Infection was ruled out after an X-ray and I was told that I needed to come back to have the tooth opened up for exploratory work. Not only that but I was told that because the tooth previously had root canal treatment then I needed a crown fitted. Staring down the barrel of a £1K+ dental plan, and still in pain, I sought a second opinion. Second dentist reckoned it was an infection, gave me antibiotics and the pain was gone within a week. Also told me that a crown was unnecessary. Cost me £0. Draw your own conclusions.

Fantastic experience: I have had several sessions so far at Botanics Dental Care as part of a dental implant procedure . Each time , Colin and his staff of nurses and reception have displayed the highest levels of professionalism. I have felt at ease on each visit and I'm very happy with the work I have had . To add, I have been receiving some complex dental implant work, and I couldn't imagine getting this work anywhere else. I believe Botanics dental care to be the best place to go for dental implants. Update February 2023 I now have my temporary crowns in and I couldn't be happier with them. Fantastic experience: I was attended to at time of the appointment without undue delay. The nurse was courteous with pleasant attitude and manners. The dentist was welcoming and friendly. He explained the procedure and always stated every step before proceeding. The place in general is clean and bright with fresh pleasant decor. Perhaps slightly pricy, but as they say, you get what you pay for.

Fantastic experience: Great job well done. yes the air flow clean was a bit more expensive However I would say it was twice as effective.( crocodile breath no more after the treatment.) Thanks to the advice of hygienist Jennifer Coyle Also I may- occasionally- moan about the monthly payment scheme... However Over the long term it actually works. Colin Gardner politely and correctly pointed out to me that I have not in fact needed any serious dental work for a considerable time precisely because of all the good advice and work done that has been carried out in previous years. They really know what they are doing. Give them a try.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Colin Gardner for over 15 years and have received excellent treatment and care. Both my kids are also now patients in the practice and well looked after by Colin and his team. My 8 year old son had an extra front tooth which caused a huge gap between his two upper front teeth. Colin has a natural and comforting ability to put your mind at total ease and in his usual professional fashion he calmly and carefully extracted this random extra tooth from my son this morning without any discomfort or stress whatsoever. What more could you ask for. Best in the business.

Fantastic experience: During my initial consultation with Dr. Gardner, he told me my alternatives in a helpful, straightforward way. He also discovered significant facts I had not known about my teeth, which were crucial in deciding what to do next. I went to Dr. Gardner to have two molars extracted, and expected to feel quite a bit of discomfort, both during and after. But there really was no problem. As a result, having been quite concerned about the actual implant operation, I'm beginning to feel that may go smoothly too. And I did not expect to think that at all. Dr. Gardner and his team are really good.

Fantastic experience: I came in to be treated primarily forTMJ/clenching my teeth, which was a longstanding issue I've had that has affected my sleep and general well being. The exam and process for creating the split to wear at night was very thorough and painless, and I was able to leave that day with a simple device that has virtually changed my sleep for the better—no more sore neck and shoulders, no headaches, and am actually dreaming again. Apart from that, everyone at the practice has been professional and very kind. I've also had general dental work done in the meanwhile, and as someone who has been a bit nervous about new dentists, I am so happy I found this outstanding practice after putting it off for far too long.

Negative experience: *Updated opinion* Why 2 stars? - Overpriced. The recent private procedure cost to get me 4 composite (white) fillings done was over £800. I was shocked not only with the price but also the fact that I had to get so many teeth done, because the holes I saw in my teeth were small. - Uncertainty. I was initially going to get amalgam fillings done but decided to go with composite. I wanted to confirm the price again, so I called them up to ask for it. The secretary gave me an estimate of the price, which turned out to be higher than last time. She said that she would send me an invoice with the estimated price price. So I waited over a month and had to call her again to ask why she wasn't able to send me an invoice for so long. She said that she "doesn't know" and instantly sent me an invoice during the call. The price jumped up from £577 to over £800. I understand that maybe it's because so much time has passed since my check-up visit (over 6 months) and they could have made a prediction of the state of my teeth now, but they should have provided me with a second check-up to confirm that. Now that this clinic is officially going private (won't provide any more NHS-funded services), I am more convinced that they prioritise their salary over the health and wellbeing of their patients. Quite unprofessional from a clinic of this caliber to provide a patient with only an estimate of the costs for their service, right before the service is provided, and not explain what the new added costs cover. It would be a good idea to send the client an xray scan pdf copy on their email with red circles, clearly indicating which teeth they need done (and why the costs are so high).

Fantastic experience: First time at this dentist last week as I felt I needed a molar extracted and my own dentist was unavailable. Very helpful and efficient reception and clean ,state of the art surgery. Colin carefully and thoroughly examined my mouth and jaw before proceeding . The injections and extraction were painfree and done with such skill and speed I was literally gobsmacked (no pun intended) . Clear ,aftercare advice was given and I'm healing well.

The location is convenient, the waiting area was pleasant, the service was early, the staff were friendly and helpful and explained what they were doing in a really professional way. I was suitably reassured about my teeth, as were my family about theirs, and overall I was delighted that I'd chosen to register with them.

Fantastic experience: Last week I had the most stress-free filling in my almost 8 year lifespan. It was a far back upper filling and took a considerable time but not only was it pain-free - which I expect - but completely free of discomfort. No strain from holding my mouth open ( I have a small mouth) presumably due to the angle of the headrest and amazingly no numb lip probem or discomfort of any sort afterwards.

Utkantha was very clear in explaining what treatment I would need and all the options available to me. I have a major phobia of needles, however Dr Gardner put me at ease from the get-go. 7 injections later, two teeth taken out due a bad abscess and I’m feeling much better already! Fantastic experience: I've been attending this practice for many years. When I started I lived fairly close by, now I live much further away. There are plenty of closer dental practices I could go to or that I could take my kids to but I don't and won't. Fantastic experience: Having previously had dental treatment at another practice several years ago, my teeth and gums were in a very poor way. I discovered the team here at Botanics Dental Care through my own research and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. The transformation is incredible. I have had several implants, sinus lifts and crowns spread over three years. I must mention that these procedures are pain free and the healing time minimal. Throughout the whole process everyone at Botanics Dental Care have been amazing. The treatments can seem costly but I definitely feel that it is money well invested in your appearance and confidence. I had root canal treatment and although my jaw ached from being open for a couple of hours while the work was done, I had no pain. He explained what was happening beforehand then I put on my headphones and tuned out as much as I could. They definitely take time to make you feel comfortable in this practice and I would recommend them.

Although this could not be described as a joyful experience, it was necessary, and I was made very comfortable and reassured throughout, by the team. Fantastic experience: Great practise, but not cheap. I loved when every action was explained to me and my needs where put up front It is good habit as usually visit to the dentist are stressful routines. The only thing I am not enjoying is an emergency appointment, which can be organise in non-emergency time span. If it is emergency I should not wait 5 days for visit, but hey, they are certainly are busy out there, and I somehow survived.
