Fantastic experience: Yes, I recently attended the clinic for a check-up and was very pleased with the timely and friendly service I received from both Lyndsey and Reception.

Positive experience: The treatment service is great, but in every other walk of life I am provided with an itemised bill - even when I have a car repaired. Here I can spend £800 on one treatment and I get a receipt that says, "For professional services." That's it. Could do with an understanding of what I am paying for - if for nothing else, just to build trust with the patient.

Fantastic experience: Suffering severe toothache over easter weekend I contacted the practice for an emergency consultation and was delighted to be seen so quickly by dentist Lyndsay Chalmers. We agreed a treatment plan and I was given a prescription for pain relief in the meantime. I am also grateful to the team at Reception who were very courteous.

I was extremely nervous going into my appointment, as I needed quite a bit of dental work done in a single day, and having a bad experience with a different dental surgery i was very nervous, but he made the entire experience so much easier than I could have imagined. Dr. Lopez was so patient and understanding, taking the time to explain each step of the process and constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable. The staff were equally amazing, reassuring me from the moment I walked in the door. What really stood out was how gentle and compassionate Dr. Lopez was, making sure I felt calm and cared for throughout the whole procedure. Negative experience: Had a really 'horrible' experience with PRACTICE MANAGER today. Went in to cancel an appointment due to travelling out of city in emergency.She was sitting at reception and When I asked for refund(which they took before booking an appointment) she answered in such a rude and disrespectful manner. It was fine if you could not refund due to policy, at least you can talk nicely!!!!!! She does not even deserve to work at any post involving interaction with other humans.

Fantastic experience: Visited Dental Practice for hygienist appointment. Pleased to know there is a new member in the team, hopefully it will reduced waiting time. It was great experience and I am very happy with the treatment. I am usually worried about my teeth. My teeth and gums were assessed and cleaned. Looking forward to get cleaned in three months time.

Negative experience: The staff is good but the problems are recurring. I was treated twice for the same issue of same tooth. The treatment was done twice, scaling, filling. Yes I noted the timing the dentist had taken was 5 to 7min both the times. Seriously? This is how the issue too comes back in few days like in a week or 2. Twice the same way the issue occurred in 10 days. Twice the anaesthesia, twice the whole day numbness, twice the pain of treatment, twice the money paid etc., what for ? Better you guys spend some good care and good time on treatment so that it won't reoccur. I appreciate if they take feedback of treatment from patients and improve their services.

The initial work was very quick and the treatment to minimise pain was superb. This was followed up with root canal treatment. Everything was carefully explained, the treatment went fine and...24 hours later, I'm in no pain whatsoever and eating ok. Extraordinary. Every confidence in Scott, Karen, Jessica and the rest of the team

Fantastic experience: I’m not keen on dentists, haven’t been since I was 10 years old and had 4 teeth removed on my birthday. Over the years I have been quite unlucky with the dentists I have seen, which has left me very reluctant to seek dental care. I had an appointment yesterday with Hannah Campbell and she was brilliant. Very patient and caring. If all the dentists I have ever seen were like her then I wouldn’t have any problems with my teeth. Can’t recommend her enough, very, very pleased with yesterday’s visit.

Fantastic experience: I found Mearns Cross Dental Practice by googling "single tooth Implant" I contacted them by telephone and made an appointment for an assessment by Mr Eloy Alberto Lopez. My assessment was carried out very professionally with latest Digital full mouth 3D computerised view of my mouth. An expert explanation of a plan was devised and follow up treatment fully explained. I left feeling very comfortable throughout the visit. Also available is an easy payment plan. I have no hesitation recommending Mearns Cross Dental Practice for specialised personal treatment to all. Fantastic experience: First appointment went very well, no delay in the appointment and the staff was very friendly and competent.

Negative experience: I left this practice in April after more than 20 years due to unacceptable pain and trauma during extraction treatment. My dentist Craig Taylor was always heavy handed with injections and I told him every time but I thought the problem was mine. However, when my teeth began to loosen and I needed them extracted, nothing prepared me for what lay ahead. The anaesthetic didn’t totally numb my mouth and the injections were excruciating. Tears were streaming down my face, the anaesthetic was topped up and I couldn’t shaking. While waiting for the top up to work, I was asked to pay at reception so the office could close. I was the last client. I could barely stand. The £500 denture I had made was far too chunky and I don’t wear it, and when another tooth became loose I pulled it out myself. I’ve since joined another practice and had further treatment with NO pain whatsoever. None. Pain free injections with a delicate touch. What I always thought was ‘my problem’ turned out to be far from it.

Negative experience: I waited 5 months for an appointment with the hygienist because I chose not to go private. When I attended I was charged as private. When I challenged this I was told I was not able to choose NHS. I was not told this when I booked. So in short I have a choice and my choice is to protect the NHS. Leaving the practice was a difficult decision as Lyndsey has been amazing. Hopefully one day she will have her own practice-one that puts the patient before the pound, the way the practice used to operate. I, like most, embrace change but the changes I have seen in Mearns Dental Practice are not for the better.

Fantastic experience: I had an infection and the dentist managed to free his busy schedule to see me. Got it fixed in no time, and it meant the world to me, as I am on the road to recovery. Almost pain free now. Thanks to see me in such a short notice.
