Fantastic experience: I went to the practice on recommendation and im very glad I did. The name Pain Free dentistry? really, could that be an actual thing? Well it really is. Ive had a lot of treatment, fillings, crowns, root canal treatment with Mark and I can honestly say that it was pain free and very importantly anxiety free. No more sleepless nights when your appointment is looming. No more heart racing with anxiety whilst waiting for your name to be called. Ive recommend Mark to all my family and friends and they all have good things to say about how they felt and are very pleased with their treatment. My teeth look and feel fantastic. I wish that I had come across this practice years ago, it would have saved me a lot of pain and suffering and stress. I highly recommend Mark and this practice.

Fantastic experience: WOW! What a *GREAT* day at the dentist (and I don’t know how many people can say that). I firstly need to say I’m a ‘professional’ on what excellent, knowledgeable dental care is having been born with a cleft palate/lip. I can’t afford not to have *the* best dentist after 20yrs of surgeries to build a face, which included surgery to take my jaws apart and put them back together in a different order. Southport Road dental have been the ongoing custodians of my dental miracle for many years and the knowledge, awareness and joined-up care from all the team (including hygienists) has always been outstanding. I know about ‘painful’ and ‘pain-free’ dentistry. At Southport Road Dental I don’t ever even have a tensing of my fingers (or the second sign, tension in calves/feet!) no matter what the complexity of work. It truely is pain-free and everyone from Reception to all the dentistry teams will treat you with the utmost care and respect from the start of your engagement with them. The teams are *so* knowledgeable about the most complex dental procedures - you can tell for everyone this a vocation not just a job. Each time I go I learn more and more about the miraculous jaw surgery I had, and the team are the most professional support crew I could hope for to make sure everything stays in good shape. But on this visit I needed a crown to replace an old amalgam filling. … It was an amazing and fascinating experience! Firstly, you literally never feel anything - even the dental injections to numb the areas are not felt, never mind the actual work. David then showed me the incredible technology they use - firstly to scan my mouth/teeth in 3D/colour - then how he uses that image to create the unique, individual-to-me crown that will have a perfect bite. Once he’s programmed the scanner it shows an image of the crown, how it’s perfectly moulded to fit my tooth and also shaped for the perfect bite. He takes a small block of the dental material to another machine where it’s automatically cut from the scanned image. It’s then fired at tremendous temperature so it will be stronger than my natural teeth and when cooled it’s fitted (including other amazing processes for fixing in place). And after David finished a few final polishings you instantly have the perfect bite. And all without feeling a thing from start to finish! I’m the F1-professional-Driver level of dentistry Client - I *have* to have a support crew as expert, knowledgeable and efficient as *the* best F1 Pit Crew ever, and Southport Road Dental have always been that partner for me for many years. From ongoing maintenance and cleaning advice with the hygienists, to expert monitoring and advice on my complex dental ‘artefacts’ to keep the miraculous gift I was given by surgeons many years ago in excellent shape. Today it was an absolute privilege to see ‘behind the scenes’ at the levels of their expert knowledge and it’s blown me away. And that takes some doing for someone who has been through what I have. I can guarantee to you this standard of service isn’t limited to one Dentist or one Hygienist, it’s a team standard and those high standards apply right through the Reception teams also. If you need a truly professional and truly pain-free Dentist this is the place. Just for interest, the photos attached is the incredible machine cutting/making my crown that David had designed. It’s not often you can say ‘I’ve had a *GREAT* day at the dentist’ but today I have. Thank you to all the team!

I went in with a long-standing fear of the dentist and came out feeling calm, confident and pain free. From the first appointment, Rashmi was compassionate, patient, and never dismissive of my anxiety. She explained each step, checked in often, and made the entire experience surprisingly comfortable. I was very nervous but they made me feel comfortable straight away answered all my questions and concerns and finally had the dental work done! Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Southport Road Dental practice enough and in particular Alice. I was totally terrified of the dentist following a few bad experiences as a child and had put off attending for a VERY long time. I desperately wanted to get my broken front tooth fixed so that I wasn’t so self conscious of it. When I first visited Alice in October she immediately calmed my nerves. She always lets me know what is going to happen prior to doing anything and having now had a lovely front crown fitted I am actually happy to smile again. I am delighted with the final results. I haven’t experienced any pain whatsoever throughout the work done so far. If you’re considering going to the dentist, be brave and go here they’re brilliant! Fantastic experience: Please make an appointment for a chat if you are nervous or scared of dentists. I haven't seen a dentist for over 40 yrs as I shake and cry etc even going through the door. I had left it till desperate as worried I was losing my teeth. I arrived with my husband shaking and crying Kate was amazing so quietly spoken and calm took examination very slowly at my pace. I have just been back for treatment under sedation which was much better for me everything went brilliant. I can't praise this surgery enough I am even going back for a follow up. Fantastic experience: Truly pain free, and so reassuring for nervous patients like me! I've been terrified of going to the dentist for as long as I remember, and have refused to go for over 10 years (despite shattering a tooth). I live miles away from the practice but the reviews and pain free promise made me comfortable enough to at least go for a consultation. I'm so glad I did. David was incredibly friendly and reassured me from the start. He had a speedy look in my mouth and I had a few x-rays including the remnants of my shattered tooth. It was relieving to find out I had a lot less problems than I had expecting. Knowing my nervousness, he suggested I see the hygienist first and explained that the only sensation would be a little water in the mouth. Rebecca was so patient (sorry I kept you late) and made me feel at ease during the process. I'm genuinely looking forward to next hygienist appointment. My teeth felt so much cleaner after this. I also needed a couple of fillings and the remnants of that tooth removing. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't terrified for this. David did a great job of making me feel at ease when we discussed the treatment (although I forgot it all when I was stressing about it at home). I thought pain free would be just a cutesie saying and it would still hurt a bit. I genuinely didn't feel a thing. No pain from the needle, as I was numbed before it, no pain from the fillings (my fave part) and no pain from the extraction (took him all of 30 seconds). I can't thank everyone at the practice enough. Everyone has been absolutely lovely. I'd recommended in a heartbeat, especially if your nervous and getting back into the dentist like I was.

Fantastic experience: I had been having loads of issues trying to find anywhere to help with my wisdom teeth and other issues. They helped me get seen a quickly and was able to get everything sorted within a short time. Patrick Hesketh was very kind and gentle making sure i wasn’t in any pain and gave me steps on where they where at the whole time. The removal didn’t take long and was in no pain even a few days after just mild aches. Everything was so amazing and my life will improve massively without the daily pain. Dearly thank you to all the kind staff and helpful reception team.

Fantastic experience: Woke up with severe toothache on Tuesday morning, rang Southport Road Dental at 10 am, appointment booked for 11 am and tooth extracted by 11:30 am. Unbelievable level of service and Kate the dentist was brilliant. She quickly arrived at and understood my dental problem and provided the correct solution. Very gentle, ensuring I had no pain and talked me through the procedure. Faultless! I even got a phone call the following morning to check everything still ok. Private dental service at its best. What made the experience even more impressive is that a colleague of mine is currently six weeks into getting a crown fitted elsewhere—and they've paid the same amount as I did, thanks to my dental plan. Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant! Rashmi and her team took me from being an extremely nervous patient who would not even have a scale and polish without IV sedation and fear of the needle to having 6 extractions in one go with only the needle and no sedation! I cannot recommend them enough❤️ Another challenge loose tooth, couldn't fit partial denture in, early flight following day, having a breakdown and scared of the dentist however from the moment I made the call to Southport Road I knew I would be OK, was seen by Mark as an emergency and within 10 minutes the tooth was out and everything was back to normal I cannot speak more highly of them, everyone of the staff there plays a part in helping you through your fears. I would not go anywhere else and cannot thank them enough

Fantastic experience: It wasTwenty years since I last attended a dentist appointment, not because I couldn't find a dentist but because of sheer fear of dentists which was due to having a bad experience. I felt physically sick if anyone mentioned a dentist in passing conversation and I felt like a big softie but the fear and how I felt kept me away for all of them years. I started to have niggles in my teeth and discomfort and plucked up the courage to research online, even doing the research sent me into a trembling mess. I came accross the Pain free dentist in Chorley and read all about the treatments and the reviews left by patients, which were amazing and I thought if they could do it, then so could I. I contacted the dentist and on first impressions the dental receptionist was warm and caring and understood how I felt. I made my appointment and was met by Kate the dentist. We discussed my fears in depth and my trust started to grow slowly as she understood and listened to me. My treatment was for an extraction, filling and descale, as I had gum disease too. I agreed to return for treatment but we agreed that the sedation would be the best route for me. Again this was discussed in depth and health checks were done. On the day of my treatment, even though I was nervous, I didnt feel sick and I slept the night prior to treatment day. Kate had gone through my treatment and I knew what was going to happen. Kate and her assistant were welcoming and reassuring and before I new it I was being sedated. I don't really remember anything from the treatment other than them checking my pulse and blood pressure. Then my husband was there to collect me and I went home. The whole experience has changed my concept on dentists, I have a follow up soon and will continue with further treatment needed. Wow, I cannot believe the difference in me and visiting a dentist. There is still a journey to go on but I have total trust in Kate and the team. I wasn't in any pain or discomfort during my treatment and a minute amount of pain after the treatment, nothing a paracetamol couldn't sort out. I totally get why they are called a pain free dentist and I am so glad I found them and plucked up the courage to contact them.

Fantastic experience: I visited Southport Road Dental Surgery after a terrible experience at my previous dentist. From the first visit I found all the staff so helpful and friendly. Mr Hickey explained everything very clearly and can honestly say i could not feel any pain during the dreaded root canal treatment. I neednt have worried one bit! As a result I went on to have some cosmetic work done. The whole process was very professional and I could not recommend this practice enough. Fantastic experience: I reviewed this dentist around two years ago but I came away for a time so I have decided to review again. I have never been great with going to the dentist but Southport Road dental is truly amazing. My current dentist, Cate, is absolutely superb. Any treatment I have had has been pain free. I recently had an extraction and i didnt even know the tooth was out. Cate has a knack of being able to make you feel at ease and is always happy to answer any question I have. Cate has helped me increase my confidence visiting the dentists. Sarah, my hygienist has helped me such a lot. Before seeing Sarah my gums would bleed so bad every time I brushed my teeth and I suffered with tooth ache. I was given two long appointments with Sarah, my teeth were so sensitive but after being numbed I didn't feel a thing. Honestly, my gums no longer bleed and my mouth is much healthier. Everyone I have met at Southport road dental has been polite, professional and welcoming. Amazing dentist and I will continue going.

Fantastic experience: I honestly don't know where to begin, so buckle in for this one. My troubles started probably 4 maybe 5 years ago with my teeth, i'd cracked one and done what I do best and just ignored the problem. I'll be honest im a 6ft 15 stone bloke I really shouldn't be as scared as I am of the dentist, its a bloomin aweful place in my mind and honestly i'd chosen death before dentist, I just point blank refused to go no matter how much pain I was in. But it wore me down, i've been chewing on one side of my mouth for years and only half smiling at people given the chance. I got so desperate with the pain, I started searching for dentists that could deal with anxiety and nervousness and this is when I found these guys, I have never felt so heard by someone in my entire life, they took me in, spoke to me like I was a human being and explained all the posibilities of what could be done without prodding and banging around on already sore teeth. After speaking with David he understood the problem with zero judgement and a smile on his face because he knew he could help me. I was sent to Dr. Rashmi to talk about options of sedation because i'll be honest I was petrified, within 2 weeks i'd been seen 3 times sedated once and had a tooth extracted with zero memory of it ever happening (sedated) I simply cannot express my thanks enough to David and Rashmi for everything they have done for me, from answering paniced emails at silly times, to simply just being there on the day and helping me through. This dentist is the true difference between being thrown into a chair and having teeth ripped out with zero care for your well being to then being shown that you & your feelings towards teeth matter. So if you're sat there in pain, scared, alone and not knowing what to do just like I was, PLEASE just send them an email. Take that first step because these are the people you want in your corner i never thought i'd see the day where I rebooked myself in for a voluntary appointment in 6 months time to get checked out again From someone who would choose pain over the denists chair everytime, I can honestly say hand on heart this place has changed my mind and my quality of life forever, please, take the chance. P.s just to add the icing on the cake all the extra nurses are so lovely and Alice at reception is just wonderful. 100/10 would recommend

Fantastic experience: Had my 1st consultation for root canal yesterday, Dave is such a fountain of knowledge, l have a serious phobia to dentists, l have never felt so reassured. Looking forward to my root canal procedure with great enthusiasm, then hopefully implants. Way overdue should have attended sooner! Not forgetting the lovely nurses and reception staff!

Fantastic experience: Given how my mouth looked before and after the results speak for themselves. David and his team did a brilliant job with inside braces top and bottom (that was my preferred treatment due to my job). Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Dave highly enough! I have been a patient of his for around 8 years and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dental care. Not only is Dave incredibly skilled and professional, but he is also one of the friendliest and most welcoming dentists you could hope to meet — he puts you at ease from the moment you walk through the door. Recently, I chose to have my teeth straightened with clear brackets, alongside whitening. Dave took the time to talk me through a range of different treatment options in detail, helping me choose the plan that was right for me. He also advised that having two teeth removed would give me the best possible results — something I was initially a little apprehensive about, but Dave explained everything so clearly and made me feel completely reassured. Throughout the treatment, both Dave and his amazing reception team were always so accommodating — fitting me in last minute whenever I needed a bracket fixed or had any concerns. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and I always felt completely looked after. If you’re looking for a fantastic dentist who truly cares about his patients and goes above and beyond, look no further than Dave. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this dental surgery, I was a shaking nervous mess, and Dr Rashmi and her husband Dr David made me feel so special, calmed me in their professional and very calming manner, I had X-rays, exams, dental treatment and I was worried I would never smile confidently again after a sudden tooth loss. Well.. I’m smiling now and am so grateful for their care and attention to detail. They and their team went above and beyond, I feel so looked after and it made a very upsetting experience so much easier. For me , I had to have the conscious sedation, it was explained to me in great detail, multiple times, it was just an option, not obligatory, but I knew I needed it and I was right. Fantastic experience: I registered with the practice 2 years ago and have only positive experiences to report. While standard procedures such as checkups, fillings and hygiene appointments have been great, my experience in tooth alignment was exceptional. Fantastic experience: When I first visited Southport Road Dental Surgery two and a half years ago, I was terrified, and hadn't seen a dentist for decades. It was such a relief to meet Rashmi, who didn't judge, but discussed my fear with kindness, patience and empathy. Because of that, I agreed to have my mouth checked and x-rays taken that day! Rashmi took a lot of time ensuring I was happy with every move. I needed a lot of treatment and, with sedation a week later, I didn't remember any of it. Later on, I had my teeth straightened and some veneers applied where my teeth didn't look good. This took many visits to David over a period of 18 months. I was really frightened to begin with, but it helped that David explained every part of the treatment beforehand, and he made me laugh. He was very careful to ensure I felt OK with everything and that there was no pain. I can honestly say that I have no fear of going to the dentist now. Everyone at Southport Road - the reception staff, the dental nurses, Rashmi, David and Marc - has been brilliant. They gave me a smile and I am so grateful to them all for looking after me so well. I can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: 5 Stars – A Truly Outstanding Experience I’ve been a patient at Southport Road Dentist for many years and have always received excellent care. However, over time, I fell out of the habit of going regularly due to various personal reasons, and as a result, the thought of returning became quite daunting—mainly because of my own anxiety. Eventually, I developed a decaying back tooth and had no choice but to make an appointment. I booked in with Richa—and I’m so glad I did. She’s an absolutely fantastic dentist. From the start, she proposed a clear and reassuring three-stage plan: first, to treat the decaying tooth, followed by a visit to the hygienist, and then a longer-term care plan to address other areas. Her approach immediately put me at ease. Yesterday, I had an old crown replaced—and I cannot express how amazing the experience was. The old crown was gently removed, all the surrounding adhesion carefully cleaned, and then a cutting-edge 3D image of my entire mouth was taken. Incredibly, a brand new crown was printed in the surgery in real time and fitted perfectly—all in a single session. It honestly blew my mind. Throughout the entire process, Richa was kind, gentle, and completely transparent—explaining every step so I was never left anxious or unsure. There was no sudden prod or unexpected drill; everything was communicated clearly and calmly. It made such a difference. I know I’ve gone on a bit here, but I’m genuinely so happy. Dentistry can be expensive, but today you could clearly see where the experience, training, equipment, and investment have gone to make the patient experience as exceptional as it was. Fantastic experience: The first time I met Richa, she was excetionally understanding and empathetic regarding my fear of the dentist chair! Richa immediately put me at ease with her calm, happy, friendly and chatty demeanour, to the point I forgot I was talking to a dentist :) Since that first meeting, on every subsequent visit Richa has talked and reassured me through every single part of any procedure, thus keeping me informed, but moreso very calm! I trust Richa implicitly and feel reassured that with her caring for my teeth I can feel relaxed knowing I am in very capable, caring and professional hands. Richa recently did a very tricky root canal for me and I am forever in her debt that she saved a tooth I really thought I was going to lose; added to this, I never felt a twinge of pain! :) Thank you Richa, you are a very lovely and talented densist X

Fantastic experience: I carried out some extensive research about this dental practice and especially regarding the ‘Pain Free’ element as I have always suffered with pain when having any dental work done. First met Kate at my initial appointment and then I was introduced to David as I was looking to have either implants fitted or dentures due to my bridges and crowns failing after 35yrs or so after a road accident. David and his team reassured me and talked me through the various options and time scales and costs and especially the ‘pain free’ element. I started my treatment back in Feb 2024 to have my left side teeth removed and implants fitted and during the course of the year following on with my right side being also done, finishing in December 2024. I cannot thank David and his team enough for his care and expertise in carrying out my dental work and I can honestly say that it was ‘Pain Free!’ I cannot recommend this dental practice enough and if I could rate them 10 stars I would.

Fantastic experience: I had given up hope of having my teeth fixed. I thought I'd never have a smile again. I couldn't go to a normal dentist because of my anxiety issues and even normal sedation would be difficult. I found these guys by accident and decided to give it a shot and they have changed my life. They understood my problem and went above and beyond to find a way to help me. Now I can smile, I have healthy teeth again and can see a future. Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Rashmi enough for her patience, kindness and understanding of very nervous patients. My first consultation was in January and I have just had my check up today after having four wisdom teeth extracted and my gums laser deep cleaned. The experience was so positive due to the sedation, in fact I cannot remember anything after sitting in the chair! I cannot believe how far I have come this year and this is all down to Rashmi and her team.
