Negative experience: This is my direct experience with the clinic: I was struggling with acute jaw pain and tooth pain for days. This clinic failed to diagnose a root canal & did not provide a solution for my jaw pain (solution was 10$ nightguards as I figured out later) and wanted me to wait another week in pain until the next available appointment. Got a second opinion elsewhere and was all sorted quickly.

Fantastic experience: I had Invisalign treatment with Dr Steve Gibson and my experience has been fantastic from start to finish. Initially, I went in expecting that I might also need composite bonding to balance my smile, but Steve was completely honest and reassuring, explaining that he would only recommend treatment that was truly necessary which I really appreciated. The change in my teeth is not as dramatic as some transformations, but it has completely changed my confidence. I used to avoid smiling with my teeth and would cover my mouth when laughing. Now I love my smile and show it in every photo! I’ve also had teeth whitening, which was thoroughly explained by Kim, and several thorough hygiene appointments. My overall experience at Andrea Ubhi Dentistry has been amazing, and I completely trust the team with my smile and oral health. Every team member has been nothing short of excellent and upheld the highest levels of professionalism whilst also being friendly and approachable. I couldn’t recommend them enough!

Negative experience: I had been a patient of Adam Glassfords for 10 years, when I made the terrible decision to have my veneers replaced by him and an implant. I trusted him and the Andrea Ubhi brand and I am only writing this review so that no one else goes through what I did. Unfortunately in my opinion, and other dentists opinions, the work was not carried out with reasonable care or skill. The end result was disastrous. One dentist described them as 'tombstones'. The teeth were not straight, completely uneven, Ill fitting and too big for my mouth. I was so ashamed of the teeth that I had paid so much money for, that I ended up having remedial work carried out by another dentist at an additional cost. Dr Glassford said it would be impossible to make the teeth straight. However another dentist did this perfectly. When I complained, I felt Dr Glassford acted with complete contempt and arrogance. He kept trying to blame the colour of the teeth, but the issue was not the colour. It was the standard of his work. The clinic has a very good reputation but please be very careful. I wish someone had warned me and I never ever would have gone to Andrea Ubhi.

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely experience at this clinic. The staff are so friendly, helpful and reassuring. The treatment recommended was the minimal for the maximum results and by God did I get this! Unlike some other clinics, this clinic definitely only does treatment that is necessary. I am so happy and amazed with the results of my composite bonding. It far exceeded my expectations. Definitely would recommend anyone to check this clinic out before any of the larger companies, you'll be surprised at the price! Tarun and the team made sure everything was explained thoroughly before any next steps were taken and all costings discussed at the outset. After spending years suffering with my misaligned teeth I wanted to be sure I made the right choice and I am so happy with the service and results. My teeth now look great, therefore would definitely recommend to anyone who is unsure about taking the leap.

Fantastic experience: Referred here for a complex root canal. Consult and treatment with Dr Tim Steel. Total cost £1,570 including the consult, radiographs, the root canal and filling. Overall a great experience coming here. Everyone I spoke with on the phone was very keen to help with any queries and really went out of their way to ensure I could have an appointment fit into my awkward work schedule. I was anxious for the root canal appointment, but with Tim it was absolutely fine. I could feel how much work was going on, but he would comfort me occasionally, letting me know what’s going on/what’s next/how long is left. I also appreciated that he would take the time to go through the treatment and ensure I understood the steps. Extra mentions to the joyful musical soundtracks Tim had playing in the background, the 10/10 hot chocolate in the waiting room and the AU umbrella for the walk to the car in the pouring rain! I do recommend AU and I’d come back in the future. Thanks all! :)

Fantastic experience: I recently had composite bonding and teeth whitening done at Andrea Ubhi Dentistry, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, Kim was absolutely amazing – she supported me every step of the way, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt completely comfortable throughout the whole process. Negative experience: Absolutely awful experience with Dr. Adam. I went there to fix my teeth, thinking I was in good hands after reading a few positive reviews. We discussed the treatment plan, agreed on a route, and I paid a huge deposit we’re talking serious money. I expected professionalism and proper results for what I paid. Instead, I got ripped off. The outcome was terrible, and when I went back to address it, I was treated like garbage. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being overcharged and disrespected…

Fantastic experience: I have been thinking of having some kind of dental work done for years. Ive had multiple consultations elsewhere in York that left me feeling like they were just trying to extort money out of me. Id almost given up thr isea of composite bonding when a friend recommended Andrea Ubhi Dentistry to me. Wow! Thorough consultation, explained exactly what's involved and confirmed I was a good candidate for composite bonding. Fast forward 4 weeks after whitening it was time for the treatment to be done. Fantastic experience: Excellent service and standard of care - I was told by another dentist that all my teeth had to be removed. However at AD they have worked hard to save my bottom teeth and so far all good I like most people am petrified of the dentist but Dr Soumia and her nurse were excellent when I had my top set of teeth removed . I have had dentures fitted and they look really good, much better than I had hoped James the denture expert was very professional and gave me my smile back going above and beyond to rearrange an appointment for me - highly recommend

Negative experience: SHOCKING treatment. Discharged me without completing my treatment and refused to refund me. The orthodentist left part way though my treatment and they could not complete. I had 3 dentist in total and none could complete. Invisalign costing over £6,000.

Fantastic experience: I wish I had done it sooner! I’ve been uncomfortable with how my teeth looked for 30 years and for my 50th birthday I finally did something about it. I didn’t want fake looking or turkey teeth, I just wanted to be able to smile with confidence and feel happier with myself and Steve has made it happen. I had whitening and composite bonding done to 5 of my teeth, there was no pain, no discomfort and now, I know it sounds cliche, but after 3 visits my life has changed, I not only feel more confident but I’m actually smiling more which makes me feel happier. Fantastic experience: I've been to quite a few dentists over the years. This one is something else. The booking process could not have been simpler. You choose a practitioner on the website then book a time slot. Medical questionnaires then come through efficiently. No more filling in forms in dingy waiting rooms. The waiting area is lovely and if you're a nervous patient, the place just oozes calm. On a recommendation from my wife who has been using AU for 20 years, I booked Amy for a hygiene appointment. She was incredibly thorough, explaining every step of the process. Easily the most informative, detailed examination I've had. Ever. Amy was absolutely superb. I've learned things about my teeth nobody's ever told me! Inexplicably, and I'm embarrassed to say this, the only weak aspect of the service is trying to get a receipt so I can claim back from BUPA. The chap on reception didn't send me it as he had promised. Then, when I rang to get one, it arrived but was coded with gibberish which was rejected by BUPA. I'm now going to have to follow this up yet again.

Fantastic experience: The dentist technical really really good, and the charge fee are reasonable. I  was so lucky to find this dental clinic to help me to fix the toothache. of course the price you cannot compare with the NHS plan, but for the emergency plan it is reasonable. at least the price-list already show it for your review. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Andrea Ubhi Dentistry at Goodramgate by my local dentist, as the leading, award winning dental implant specialists, and he was not wrong. A highly skilled team of dental specialists who went above and beyond artistry and care, to ensure my implants were perfect but also put you at ease from the second you entered, to the moment you left. If you are even thinking about any dental treatment, I cannot praise or recommend the Andrea Ubhi team at York, highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I have an unusual reactive allergy to cold, so the treatment I am able to receive from Faye at Andrea Ubhi is crucial, with the simple use of warm water. Her professionalism and warm, disarming manner dispel any residual anxiety; it is so refreshing to feel empowered by communicative interaction during treatment, rather than being expected to simply submit to it. I recommend this practice with absolute confidence and am very grateful for the significant difference Faye has made to my oral health and comfort, teaching me without a hint of patronising or impatience - she is a truly holistic, highly skilled and professionally inquisitive practitioner, leading her field.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient for a little over 2 years after being referred for orthodontic and restorative treatments following a car accident in 2018. I have to say this is simply the nicest practice I have ever stepped foot in. The treatment was outstanding and I have left with a smile I can feel proud of after not showing my teeth for 5+ years. Tarun on the orthodontic side was such a nice man to deal with, calm, understanding and put me at ease through the process. Once finished, Adam picked up and I went through the removal and implant phase. Forthright and honest advice was apparent, no beating about which is exactly what I needed. Discussions were frank and my expectations managed throughout. Over the course of the treatment any nerves subsided, as I began to know Adam a little better I understood his motivation was to achieve the very best results for me, both as a patient and the end results. If you want "Turkey teeth" go elsewhere. Adam has given me a natural smile, most wouldn't notice I have even had treatment which is testament in itself. Top marks to both Tarun, Adam and the super (and lovely) supportive staff throughout this Practice. In all honestly I can't thank you all enough.

Fantastic experience: Choose this practice and you are in safe hands……. Where do I start? Everything about this practice is brilliant. I was referred by my dentist to have 2 implants and 3 crowns. As a very nervous patient due to childhood trauma with a school dentist I entered the building with trepidation. I was greeted by a smiling and very reassuring friendly Richard. I then saw Dr Adam again who was so calm and professional with the perfect bedside manner instantly put me at my ease as he patiently allowed me time to express my fears. He drew up a comprehensive detailed plan and so started my 10 month journey. I can honestly say I looked forward to every visit due in part to the excellent staff all working there. I would particularly like to thank the following staff. Richard first impressions really do matter on entering a surgery and he has got it just right. Dr Tim, I had 2 root canal treatments have had many in the past which were long appointments and painful afterwards too. This time round the whole process didn't seem to take long and didn’t experience any pain afterwards and was constantly kept in the picture. Again Dr Tim so reassuring and professional I was able to relax knowing I was in safe hands. Thanks go to Jade too who drew up a comprehensive payment plan and again I met at most appointments. She wasn’t just interested in collecting money but also in me and how I was feeling and again a reassuring presence. A big thank you to Michelle who assisted in my treatment and answered many questions I had a long my journey. Again a very calm and reassuring presence. A special thanks to Dr Adam I am so so grateful for all your care and attention at every step of the journey. I’m so delighted at the outcome I’m arranging to have another implant next month. My one regret I wish I had plucked up the courage to have this done years ago with you. You are all brilliant and thank you for all you do for your patients so glad I was referred to you. After 35 years can eat whole apples again and smile with confidence. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I travel from Cambridge to see Faye, the hygienist at Andrea Ubhi Dentistry. Faye carries our Guided Biofilm Therapy which is the most educational and pain free experience I’ve had at any dental appointment in my life. I have always avoided dental appointments as I am a really nervous patient and Faye’s chair side care is second to none. Well worth the 2.5 hour travel each way to see her l. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Adam Glassford for 15 years through Andrea Ubhi Dentistry. Adam is such a skilled dentist who uses his wealth of experience and knowledge well to put even nervous patients like me at ease. The visit to Andrea Ubhi is always pleasant with staff there being very helpful and welcoming. This has to be the place to go for highly professional yet relaxing treatment.

I have been treated by many members of staff who were all professional and easily able to answer my questions in an understandable way. They have state of the art equipment and it is a clean and comfortable environment. Fantastic experience: For many years I’ve had a dislike to the placement of my teeth, for a few years I’ve looked into various methods of straightening! I dreaded photos and always look unhappy or awkward when I look back on social media. I had fixed braces fitted in February and taken off today only 9 months later. I’ve had no discomfort throughout and I’ve loved seeing the changes in the shape of my teeth month to month. The staff are all so informative, professional and genuinely lovely people. Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Andrea Ubhi Dentistry for 5 years now for my regular checkups and hygienist appointments - the service is first class, you feel very much looked after as a customer, I’ve easily been able to book appointments when I need them, and Richard on reception is always there with a smiling face to welcome you in when you arrive! Fantastic experience: From the welcome you receive from lovely Ric when you walk in, to the professional and friendly treatment from the practitioners; this Dental Practice is excellent. To alleviate severe tension headaches and neck muscle pain caused by Bruxism(teeth grinding) it was suggested that I might try Botox. I met with Dr Saima Djebbar who advised injections into the masseter muscles either side of my jaw to shrink them. These injections were virtually painless and took about 5 minutes; I was advised they would take ten days to 3 weeks to take effect. A month on and I can report that my headaches are virtually gone and I’m no longer woken up by excruciating pain in the middle of the night. I can’t believe how this has changed my life for the better, well worth it. A huge shout out too for Faye Donald, a fantastic hygienist. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Just completed Invisalign with these guys along with a new composite bond and whitening. Excellent service over several months. Fairly priced, very professional and great communication. Also very happy with the result! Thanks to Dr Gibson and especially Kim who was there every step of the way to co ordinate things and answer any questions.

Negative experience: The ladies taking calls are great, but it's downhill from there. Felt it was all about money and trying to get me to commit to work I didn't really need. Seems to be a lot of front, and little substance or care behind closed doors. Very disappointing and concerning.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant! Great staff and I have never had an issue getting through to them when calling. Treatment has been brilliant and I feel like they are working with me rather than 'telling me off' like I have felt at some dentists. Hygienist was very thorough and dental appointments could be scheduled for the same week. Convenient and quality healthcare.

Fantastic experience: EXEMPLARY service from Andrea Ubhi's Dentists. Each time I go the service and care they give is outstanding. I am impressed by their duty of care. I know it can and is quite expensive but the treatment given to Me cannot be replicated by a NHS dentis( they are also good but don't have the luxury of spending more time with you ) who cannot carry out certain procedures as do Andrea Ubhi's Dentists. I have had an implanted molar many years ago and the surgery was second to none and I have had no problems. Recently I attended for usual hygiene treatment etcetera and that was carried out most impressively. Fantastic experience: When it comes to excellence in dental implants treatment there’s A shining star in Andrea Ubhi Surgery, and his name is Dr Adam Glassford. He is clinically excellent, sincere about serving the best interests of his patients for the high quality of services he offers and is supported by well trained dental nurses I whole heartedly recommend him without reservation If anyone is reading this and is nervous to take the first step, don’t be, pick up the phone, and make an appointment with Adam,you will not be judged, he will listen to you and give you the facts! I have just completed 9 months dental plan with Adam and I had the following done: Top jaw old bridge removed and extractions, completely toothless bone grafting on either sides of my mouth, 6 implants placed 2 at the back and 4 in front and a fixed bridge placed I also had cosmetic bonding on my bottom teeth by Dr Steve Gibson, fantastic! And to finish off whitened up my bottom teeth to match my new fixed bridge. Its been a long journey and sometimes not very easy, but would I do it all again yes I would. Thank you Dr Adam Glassford for giving me back my life, my confidence and my brand new smile!

Fantastic experience: I came to Andrea Ubhi after a life time phobia of dentists shamefully il say my teeth were disgusting I had not smiled for ten years from the moment I walked in from the reception staff until the minute I got in the chair was a pleasure Stewart put me at ease and by my 5th appointment I was actually looking forward to it, i underwent a full top rip out and denture plate and Stewart managed to save 6 bottom teeth for a denture frame to hook into, the work that James has done is phenomenal everyone has said they are the best teeth they have seen I was expecting a manufactured turkish gleaming smile the results are unbelievable you can not tell the difference between these and natural teeth the guys at Andrea Ubhi have changed my life I actually shed tears when I was passed the mirror thank you guys each and everyone of you and I would and will be highly recommending

Fantastic experience: For as long as I can remember I have never felt able to smile in photos. Born without one lateral incisor and the other being a peg tooth, it was never as easy as slapping on braces as a teenager like my friends and having a brilliant new smile. My old dentist wanted me to just get the braces and have a large gap at the front of my teeth for my first year of university, there was just no way my confidence could take that hit. I did a lot of research looking into different dentists, mostly because I am an incredibly nervous patient with trypanophibia and hemophobia (phobias of needles and blood) and would need to feel as confident in a team as possible before going ahead. I found that at Andrea Ubhi, from my first consultation with Dr Adam Glassford to my final one with Dr Stephen Gibson, almost 2 years and 25 appointments later. From the start I was listened to and all my concerns addressed with solutions. I could have the inside of my Invisalign coloured to cover the gap while it was widening and I could be sedated during the implant procedure. The composite bond would cover my peg tooth and if I take care of it I’ve got years and years ahead of me with a full smile. I’d saved a long time to have it all done, there was a lot of different aspects to my treatment and it was expensive (to me). But honestly I’d have paid double. It’s changed my life. I can’t thank the whole team enough.

Fantastic experience: I had clear braces fitted just over 18 months ago now top and bottom, the whole process went so quickly! My teeth prior to having these fitted was wonky and I had an under bite. I am so pleased with my new smile now, couldn't recommend andrea ubhi enough. Especially Remo and Kim who I saw every month, lovely dentist and staff with amazing results!

Negative experience: A very negative experience. I had an abscess after a filling of a tooth and been in agony for two weeks. They gave me two different antibiotics but the pain was absolutely terrible. Then I came back to finish but this touth it looks the same as before, still black. Cosmetic dentistry!!! Never again xx
