Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been patients at the Acorn Dental Surgery for several years. We are both very happy with the treatment we have received. The level of professionalism and personal care and attention have always been of the highest quality. All our treatment and preventive care and advice have been excellent. We would certainly recommend the Acorn to anyone looking to choose a dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had the misfortune to need an extraction recently. Tim explained everything that would happen at every stage and made sure my mouth was numb and put me at ease during the procedure. He is a very caring professional and always makes sure you understand what’s ahead. About 2 weeks after the extraction I was a bit concerned with some tenderness round the gum. Tim got me in the same morning and put my mind at rest. There was no further charge as it was part of any follow up treatment. I highly recommend Tim and his team to look after my dental requirements.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant friendly surgery with great staff. Outside of my normal 6 monthly check ups when I’ve needed emergency care, Tim and his team have been amazing. Quick to respond with pre and post care support. Can’t recommend this wonderful little family friendly surgery enough :-)

I was WELCOMED so well from Tim/Jane. Had a very successful Crown placed plus a great hygienist session. Lovely to see new staff members as well. DENPLAN set up as well. Highly Highly recommend. Fantastic experience: My wife and I have used this dental surgery for a number of years and have no hesitation in recommending it. We use Denplan and this means all 'bills' except for external support (such as manufacturing crowns etc) are met. Apart from 6 monthly check ups and time with the hygienist we have also called upon the surgery for appointments when we have had problems, minor or major, all are dealt with in a timely, professional and kindly manner. Fantastic experience: My wife & I have been using Acorn Dental Surgery for the last 25 years. Firstly at their London Road Surgery then ever since they moved to their current base in Barnwood Road. Like us you might find it difficult to find a dentist that suits your needs but once you do you tend to stick with them as we did. Tim is gentle, informative & thorough. A couple of years ago I decided to have a bridge to fill a childhood gap in my teeth, Tim talked me through it & the procedure went ahead without a hitch. I've now got a full set of teeth for the first time in over 50 years. The hygienist, Jane, is also very thorough & will point out where you might be falling down on your daily oral hygiene. We would recommend the Acorn Dental Practice to anyone.

I can’t thank this practice enough, I’ve had horrible dental anxiety for years, and I’ve been putting off getting a broken tooth fixed amongst other things because of the anxiety - i was made to feel immediately at ease, everything was explained to me thoroughly and in depth. I felt very seen and listened to, and he took my anxiety very seriously and made me feel so at ease in the chair. Fantastic experience: I have been using this dental surgery for many, many years and have been very pleased with the level of care that I receive. Tim and Jane are highly professional, very caring - as are their receptionists - and give an excellent level of dental treatment. Important for me is that they have been able to find me short-notice appointments when my aging teeth suddenly let me down. I don't understand the sign on the door instructing patients to wait in their cars when there is a perfectly good waiting room. This was undoubtedly vital during COVID, but, these days... Why?

Fantastic experience: Acorn dental are always amazing! Tim and the team are SO helpful, so much so that I’ve already signed my 8 month old daughter up to be a patient of theirs too! I’ve never had any issues getting appointments, always get seen and any issues fixed! The Denplan that they do is the best thing ever and I would highly recommend doing it, seeing how impossible it is to find any NHS dentist - Denplan make private dental care much more affordable! I have also previously used their Emergancy appointments too and got seen by another dentist who was covering the Acorn surgery at the time, so again no issues getting to see a dentist when needed! The team are very friendly and great for nervous patients too, Tim always explains what he is doing and why.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Acorn Dental Surgery for 5 years since I moved to Gloucester. Tim has a very pleasant manner and it is always an easy visit to him and all his staff. He operates a very effective system of booking one’s next six monthly visit coupled with a friendly call a day or two before the appointment to check it is still OK. Overall a service not matched by any of the previous dental practices I have been with.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Acorn dental enough, after having not been to a dentist in 3 years and being extremely worried about the whole process, including the booking through my previous experiences with healthcare. Kim on the front desk put all my initial worries at ease and has been the amazing happy and smiley face of my dental experience that makes such a genuine difference the the experience. Tim the dentist did a fantastic job of talking me through my mouth as he went and was both extremely professional and informative every step of the way, putting all my worries to rest and ensuring I knew all the next steps in my treatment, when I needed to be seen next and not pressuring frequent appointments as some private professionals do. Jane the hygienist who I saw today was also amazing. Having never seen a hygienist before and hearing horror stories from friends and family I was initially worried, but Jane again squashed all of that talking through the appointment, discussing what we would be doing and again what to do going forward. She was extremely gentle but effective with her work. As someone with anxiety around these medical procedures, I cannot recommend Acorn highly enough and they have made the transition into regular dental care an amazing one!

The service provided has never been less that excellent in every respect ie Tim's dentistry; Jane's hygienist treatment; the quality and efficiency of the dental nurses and the admin staff; the friendly welcome and the very high quality of care. Fantastic experience: Acorn accepted me at extremely short notice due to a problem that I was'nt prepared to let my nhs dental practice handle (and I would have had to wait for months!). Tim was very professional and patient and after a thorough examination fully explained the options available to me and reassuring me. The lab work was ready early so Tim fitted me in ahead of schedule; all sorted in 10 days and very pleased! Extremely friendly and welcoming practice which I am now a regular patient of. This practice is how dentists used to be, would highly recommend.

I had met with other dentists in the past to look at straightening my teeth but clear aligners wouldn’t have worked and other options I looked at were either extortionately priced or and/or too far away. I’m so glad I saw the poster for Acorn dental in the Barnwood post office! The staff were all friendly and professional, and Tim is obviously very skilled at his job. In the end I had my braces for about 8 months and during that time I had appointments every 2-4 weeks. Cannot recommend Acorn Dental enough. Nothing was too much trouble and at one point they managed to fit me in for a quick appointment within half an hour of me calling them…can’t beat that service!! Thanks Acorn Dental!

Fantastic experience: We couldn't get an NHS Dentist, having just moved into Gloucester during Covid. So have been really impressed with the service of the Dentist and Hygienist. At first it seems a little expensive, but actually you get a lot of attention to detail from them.
