Fantastic experience: I was referred to Anish at AK Dental Care last year for a root canal. The treatment I received was second to none. Unfortunately, I was referred again for a second root canal on a different tooth more recently but I knew the treatment and care I would receive was excellent so felt reassured and in safe hands. The Reception team warmly greet you when you arrive and always offer you a coffee while you wait. The waiting area is spotlessly clean and comfortable with music playing quietly through the speakers. Anish and his nurses are amazing and explain the process of your appointment. Anish is very calm, approachable and extremely professional and the nurses happy and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Anish and his team. Definitely worth a 5 star review!!

Fantastic experience: 2026 Update following a root canal on another tooth: I am so incredibly grateful to Dr. Anish for fitting me in at such short notice last December when I was in agony with a dying nerve in a premolar, which had been irritated following a very deep filling one month before. Dr. Anish got me out of pain within 30 mins and I could literally live again. I've just had the second phase of the root canal two days ago and I cannot feel anything now. It was a long procedure but I felt safe and in good and caring hands. I really wish I had known of this practice a lot sooner! I was referred to AK Dental Care by my private dentist and after my NHS dentist had written the tooth off and wanted to remove it. Sadly, the first root canal at my private dentist had not worked as one tiny root had been missed. Also, I had found the procedure long and uncomfortable. I was reluctantly convinced to give an endodontist a chance and I am so glad that I did! Chris Burn had an initial detailed look at my teeth, full x-rays taken, and left me with a choice... I chose the second root canal which was a complete success and turned out to be a totally different experience to my first one at a 'normal' dentist. Chris is very skilled, patient, understanding, kind, thorough, honest, reassuring...the list of qualities is endless. He reassured me that it was the right thing to do and his work was painless and strangely relaxing. Chris puts a 'ring' on the tooth and a plastic 'bib' around it, which means your mouth is not flooded with water during the procedure, which is unfortunately but necessarily long (2 sessions of over 1 hr. each). After my recent dental problems, I have become a nervous patient but in the care of all staff here, I felt safe and listened to. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is thinking of a root canal as an option to tooth removal and then implant.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my NHS dentist to AK Dental as I needed to have root canal treatment on 2 teeth. 1 of these teeth had recently partly broken & the other formed part of a bridge. Anish is passionate about saving a tooth if it’s viable and confirmed that he could treat both teeth for the long term. I was so impressed by the treatment I received. The professionalism & skills of Anish and the nurses was amazing. Fantastic experience: My young daughter had a root canal treatment and the service was excellent. Dr Anish and the nurse were very good at calming her down and made her feel very relaxed. Fantastic experience: I have been a private patient with Anish for what feels like very long time providing my 6 monthly checks up and hygiene sessions. Anish and the team have always been brilliant and provided a great Service I’ve taken for granted. However, my recent experience has brought me to write this review as like many others I’m extremely nervous patient. I had a choice to make on whether to attempt to save a tooth (which may not have worked) or have it extracted. I decided to have it extracted something I was completely petrified of. Viraj Patel and his dental nurse were amazing, Viraj explained the extraction was not going to be straightforward and why, then exactly what his plan was. He put me completely at ease explaining his progress, providing me with plenty of opportunities for breaks. It couldn’t have gone smoother and as painless as I thought it would. Thank you so much

Fantastic experience: My crown kept falling off and due to Invisalign so i decided to leave it off as I only had 4 months left of Invisalign. Once my new crown fitted it was painful and my dentist helped me with various treatments. In the end he said I might need a root canal. I went to Ak dental and saw Dr Chris Burn and Michaela. I explained I was worried I would have to pay for another crown to be fitted after the root canal. They were fantastic and reassured me they could drill a small hole in my crown and then remove the 5 roots and make a small matching filling. Which is exactly what they did. No pain, tiny hole you can’t see, even asked what music I would like to be played. I cannot recommend this dentist and their team ( the receptionist so helpful aswell) a very good experience at the dentist.

Fantastic experience: My son had a pretty bad trauma to his teeth, three completely knocked out, top one cracked in half, bottom tooth broken off at the gum. We were referred to AK dental by our NHS dentist, as my son needed to have the best treatment and fast to save his teeth. My son has had 5 root canals and two crowns fitted at AK dentist. We couldn't be happier, his teeth look amazing and have a good prognosis of surviving. All staff are super friendly and professionalism is second to none. The extent of the dentist knowledge is incredible. Our original appointment was made very quickly after our referral, two days after prognosis, treatment was started. Two sessions at 4 weeks apart and all treatment has been completed.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Anish by my usual dentist for a root canal treatment on a molar. I am very anxious about dental treatment and have to say that Anish and his dental nurse were amazing and put me at ease immediately. The professionalism, kindness and courtesy of everyone in the practice is first class.

Fantastic experience: Over the course of a year, I received treatment at AK, essentially having my mouth rebuilt. Inevitably, this was an expensive process, but the end result is worth every penny spent. Nacho’s care and attention to detail was exemplary, ably assisted primarily by Mihaela, occasionally by Zoë. As part of this process, 2 root canals were dealt with by Anish, who exhibited the same care and professionalism. There cannot be a dental practice that looks after their patients in a more friendly or caring fashion. Highly recommended.

I came here as a recent graduate few weeks ago to shadow Dr Ignacio and it was truly eye-opening how much detail and care he puts into each patient's treatment journey. It can be very daunting to be in a dental chair but the staff at AK are all friendly and will put you at ease:) The practice itself is very well led and it does reflect in the excellent team dynamics. The invested time, materials and treatment quality is truly unparalleled.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to AK Dental Care by my dentist for root canal fillings for a chipped tooth which had previously been filled many years ago but the filling had failed. The tooth had also become infected and 'died', leading to loss of bone behind it. AK's admin was top notch. They kept me informed of the proposed treatment plan and associated costs. On my first visit (of 3 in total), the pros and cons of different treatment options were explained. I opted for root canal fillings, having been advised that the chance of success (ie, saving the tooth) were good. The care and treatment carried out by Dr Chris Burns and his dental assistants were exemplary. Although two of the visits were lengthy and not particularly pleasant, I was kept calm and reassured throughout with excellent communication and, of course, effective pain relief. Perhaps I was also lucky not to suffer any pain or discomfort afterwards. I would have no hesitation in recommending AK Dental in general, and Dr Burns in particular, to anyone undergoing complex dental treatment. I look forward to revisiting the company in about a year's time for an assessment as to whether the bone has grown back, which means that the treatment will have been a complete success.

Fantastic experience: About 5 days ago I had my very first root canal done. I initially picked this particular dentist surgery due to the positive feedback I found online, but I was still terrified due to the various stories I've heard from people who had work done elsewhere. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough! I did not feel a thing during the whole procedure, or afterwards. All the staff here are amazing, very friendly and reassuring, which of course is a bonus when you are nervous. If, like me, you are nervous or scared of having any dentist work done, this is definitely the place to go to sort it out.

Fantastic experience: As somebody with dental anxiety, and experiences of being let down by previous dentists, I really struggle with visiting the dentist. I am so glad that I put my trust into AK dental care - if I could rate more than 5 stars I would! :) I had a root canal completed by Dr Biraj who talked me through the whole process and a thorough consultation which helped to put my mind at ease. Both Biraj and the dental nurse on the day had an empathetic approach, making the process comfortable and practically painless. I then saw Dr Ignacio for further treatments and again, he provided me with the most thorough consultation, and took a comprehensive approach to my treatment planning for the long term. Both he and the dental nurse Mihaela were amazing throughout the treatment and put my anxiety at ease, I really felt safe in their hands. I appreciated how gentle Dr Ignacio was, his patience, and attention to detail are something I have not experienced before, it really goes a long way. He really cares. Fantastic experience: I am a dental student who had the opportunity to shadow here today, I was greeted with kindness from the moment I stepped in by Dr Anish and Dr Ignacio, as well as nurses Amelia, Kim and Zoe. The reason why I travelled 3 hours today is simple. This is not your ordinary dental practice. Shadowing Dr Ignacio I saw him arrive early to prepare and work through his lunch break. Fantastic experience: Not all professionals are created equal. There are the good, the bad and the downright criminal. Fortunately, AK Dental care and Dr Anish Khatri specifically, fall under the category of brilliant. From my personal experience, Dr Khatri is a consummate professional. He is intelligent, diligent, highly skilled and experienced and decent. Unlike many dentists these days who seem only willing to offer treatment options, leaving the choice in the hands of the client and their insubstantial years of training in the field, Dr Khatri not only gives you treatment options, respecting your autonomy, but also has the courage to offer best advice. This I have found to be rare and refreshing. Also, not only is he a highly experienced and skilled practitioner, but the practice has all the necessary equipment to maximise his skills and experience and thereby offer the best possible outcomes. Furthermore, he is friendly and generous with time thus allowing for patients to be comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend both the practice and the Dr himself.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr Burn at AK Dental Care for root canal treatment of a lower molar. He took a careful history, carried out diagnostic tests, explained the results and provided a list of treatment options. I was fully included at all stages of decision making. My treatment appointment was long (one visit molar endodontics - I was aware of the time involved) but entirely painless. He ensured adequate anaesthesia throughout and frequently checked whether I needed a break. My treatment was of the highest quality, carried out in clean, pleasant surroundings. Dr Burn worked vey well with Dental Nurse Mihaela - they are obviously well used to being a team. I received copies of correspondence sent to my referring dentist. I would gladly recommend Dr Burn and the team at AK Dental Care to anyone requiring similar treatment.

Fantastic experience: I am about to qualify as a dentist and Dr. Ignacio allowed me to shadow him for the day at AK Dental Clinic. His work is thorough, precise and well thought out and he has an extensive knowledge of complex procedures. Fantastic experience: I had root canal treatment almost 2 weeks ago carried out by Dr Chris Burn. I was a little concerned about keeping my mouth open for such a long time and also as he had to drill through my crown. But the whole procedure was painless and I was totally relaxed and comfortable. Chris and his assistant were very professional and confident in what they were doing, explaining the procedure as he went. It was much easier than I was expecting and I wondered why I was anxious. I've had some discomfort after but no swelling and am hoping this will go in time. (I always seem to take a time to heal) I would definitely recommend this practice for root canal treatment.

Fantastic experience: I recently had extensive root canal treatment (2 teeth) at Ak Dental Care after being referred by my NHS dentist. I kept putting it off as I was feeling quite anxious about the treatment I needed but I was starting to get pain and reoccurring infections so couldn’t put it off any longer! From the moment I entered the practice, I felt happy and confident with how I was looked after. Firstly you are greeted by friendly Salome with a lovely smile and warm manner. I then had my treatment with Anish and Mihaela. I’m not going to lie - 3 hours (twice) in a dental chair is not the best way to spend a Friday morning but I could not fault the treatment in any way. I was frequently asked if I was comfortable and whether I needed a break. I was informed what was being done and felt confident I was in good hands. My only regret is that I didn’t have the treatment sooner!

Fantastic experience: So ! Yorkshire Male 56 years old , first filing (not too bad !) Obviously a big wimp , with huge aversion to pain. Rear molar , next to wisdom tooth , Anish (think of him as the Obi Wan Kenobi of dentistry, with a much better beard!) did think the wisdom tooth would need to be removed to access the area which required treatment ( Sweat on !) At a later visit , decided this would not be required ( did a little dance inside !) As best practice now to leave in , as wisdom teeth can be transplanted to other area's if needed later on(you learn something new every day !) Didn't feel the first injection, and nothing throughout the entire process , around 90 minutes. Total professionalism as always (restrained myself from giving him and the team a hug at the end !) have had no discomfort at all since the treatment on the 9th Feb 24. The AK team have looked after our family , for over 15 years , all my girls first visits , with the required sticker collections! Advised on braces and recommended some wonderful colleagues for those treatments. We would not entrust our treatment to any one else , and highly recommend anybody who is looking for practice to speak to the team. Now , can I make it to 102 before my 2nd filing ?

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience I’ve had at any dentist. It was my first time going private and I’m so happy I went here. My dentist was so lovely and accommodating, I had a root canal done and I had absolutely no pain, just the smallest discomfort for about a day afterwards. He did an amazing job, he saved my tooth and it looks so good I’m very very pleased with everything! All the staff were lovely and everything was super clean. Fantastic experience: I recently completed Root Canal treatment at AK Dental Care with Chris Burn. From start to finish Chris was the ultimate professional - friendly and caring - and someone I was more than happy to put my trust in. Chris went through the possible options for my treatment with clear explanations. From the very first anaesthetic injection, I was pain free and felt relaxed and comfortable throughout the procedure, helped by unobtrusive, relaxing music playing in the background. Chris frequently asked how I was doing and whether I wanted a break. At the end of each appointment, he showed me clear XRays of exactly what he had done. I felt only minor discomfort for approximately 24hours following the procedure. Chris was ably assisted by his dental nurse who was very friendly and welcoming, as was the helpful and cheerful receptionist. I cannot recommend Chis Burn highly enough.

Fantastic experience: AK Dental were so great with my son's root canal treatment. From start to finish we were put at ease. For those that don't know, root canal treatment can involve an hour or more in the dentists chair for each session which sounds awful I know but at AK Dental, the whole process was so relaxing that my 16 year old son nodded off in the chair! I'm betting he's not the first to do so either. There was no pain at all with this procedure and the dentist went above and beyond to build his broken front teeth back up to look better than the natural teeth ever did. Thank you for not only saving my son's tooth but for giving him back his smile and confidence. Amazing team, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Excellent ! I was very anxious on arrival as I had been referred by my local dentist . I knew that saving my tooth was going to be complicated. Barij calmed me down and reassured me. He was professional, friendly and empathetic at every stage. I did not feel the local anesthetic going in I and soon felt relaxed and comfortable. Treatment was as long, as I had expected. Barij was extremely methodical throughout. I could have fallen asleep at one point ! Staff were also professional, polite and courteous. Fantastic experience: I recently visited Mr Chris Burn at AK Dental Care for root canal treatment. Like most people, I was nervous and anxious about the potential pain and outcome of the procedure. However, I was absolutely delighted with the experience! Chris was highly professional. He talked through all my concerns in detail and fully reassured me. He talked through the procedure at my request and checked that I was comfortable throughout the process. I had no pain whatsoever either during or after the root canal treatment. I would not hesitate to recommend Chris or his team to anyone and I would go back without hesitation. From walking through the door everyone was highly professional and friendly. Fantastic experience: I was recommended to AK Dental Care by my husband who has had RCT there twice and was himself referred to the practice by his private dentist.They were able to see me within 48 hours of initial contact and able to do the treatment the following day, for which I was very grateful. I was in acute pain for a week beforehand and rather emotional when I arrived for a consultation so I appreciated the kindness and understanding afforded to me by Anish and his team. Anish took x-rays and was very thorough in his approach to identifying the problem and explaining the treatment options. Anish administered the pre-treatment anaesthetic very gently so it was not painful and there area was soon numb. I did not experience pain during the RCT treatment per se, only a little sensitivity once so anaesthetic was duly topped up. My RCT was carried out over two sessions, roughly 2 hours then a further 1.5 hours. It is not painful, although your gum may feel tender and you jaw ache from having your mouth open. This is easily controlled by paracetamol and ibuprofen. It is a lengthy procedure and you may wish to bring a device to listen to some music or a book during your treatment to help you to relax and to occupy your mind. The RCT has resolved my erstwhile very painful toothache - from having a cracked molar - and I would recommend treatment to anyone who is feeling unsure.

Fantastic experience: The whole experience was excellent given that this is root canal treatment and not something that one enters into lightly. Excellent orthodontist and attention to detail at every stage of the treatment was first class. Nearly two hours in the chair can be daunting but with the time taken to explain each process, I felt comforted. Thoroughly recommend anyone who may be wavering about RCT to discuss with this practice and I am sure your experience will be as good as mine. Richard W

Fantastic experience: I am delighted with my root canal treatment at AK Dental Care. Everybody was very friendly and Anish explained the problem and treatment plan very clearly at the outset. Despite quite an extensive infection, the treatment was pain-free and I did not experience any discomfort. I am happy to say that the tooth was saved, for which was very pleasantly surprised. Fantastic experience: I was referred to AK Dental Care for some root canal work. Anish took the time to explain exactly what would be happening and the likely outcomes. The work was quite involved, but it was pain-free throughout (I was struggling to stay awake in the chair, and may even have dozed off briefly at a couple of points). I didn’t have any problems with pain afterwards either. Everyone at AK Dental was really friendly throughout and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. If I ever have to have more root canal work, I shan’t worry about it at all.

Fantastic experience: I went there as I was in too much of pain, my tooth was badly infected and after inspection Mr Anish Khatri told me that there is choice of saving the tooth or taken out. I almost said to take it out rather than saving it as I was sacred of root canal treatment. After a few minutes of consideration I said please save it as I know that taking the tooth out will hurt me for days and I will not be able to eat my food properly again. It was a big job and it needed three long sittings and keeping my mouth open during each session, but Dr Anish Khatri virtually made it painless. I had 4 root canals done and I am glad to say that Mr Khatri saved my tooth, job so well done. Thanks for saving my tooth. Please don’t be scared of root canal treatment as it doesn’t hurt at all.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend for root canal treatment. Having heard friends experiences of root canal treatment elsewhere I was a little anxious to say the least, but I was keen to try to save a tooth that I’d previously been advised would need to be extracted. I was reassured throughout and received excellent care - I think the saying ‘ you get what you pay for’ applies here. A far better experience than I have ever had at any NHS or private dentist for previous simple fillings etc. The procedure was absolutely painless, everything thoroughly explained, and swelling and pain afterwards was minimal and easily managed with normal painkillers. I wouldn’t hesitate to return if needed in the future, thank you very much!

Fantastic experience: I received the best of care at AK Dental from the moment I walked in. Everyone is so polite, kind and reassuring. I had one of the most complicated procedures and had to sit in the chair for a total of 4 1/2 hours over two appointments. It was to correct root canal treatment I’d had done at another dentist which had failed. Even though it was an exhausting experience … for my mouth especially, I never felt pain, or frightened. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Ak dental again. They really are the best there is.

Fantastic experience: I found AK Dental Care when I needed to find a specialist to do root canals on two of my front teeth. I was really made to feel at ease, I popped in my earphones listened to an audio book whilst the treatment was carried out. I am fearful of the dentist normally and was worried about root canals but I really didn't need to be. I like that they call you after as well and check everything is ok.

Fantastic experience: I had the most painful tooth ache, caused by an infection and my regular dentist recommended me to go to AK Dental Care for a root canal. The staff were extremely friendly. I saw Dr Chris Burn who again was very friendly and patient with me. He explained everything clearly with all options available for treatment. They show a great deal of care while you are there. The cleanliness of the practice was exceptional, and they had state-of-the-art equipment. The entire process was flawless. I underwent treatment during two sessions, and after each one, I only needed paracetamol for a brief, dull ache that lasted less than an hour. Fantastic experience: My 9-year-old son had to have specialist root canal treatment after his front tooth started to die due to a traumatic accident. The professionalism and knowledge of Dr Anish is truly incredible. During our consultation, he explained the treatment very clearly and answered all my questions with details. I felt confident that my son is in very good hands if not the best in our area. I don’t know how that is even possible, but my son had the anaesthetic on his 3 visits and did not complain of pain. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend AK Dental Care. I had had a root canal with my normal dentist but was still experiencing pain. I was concerned about spending more money on treatments if the tooth was unrepairable. I had a consultation with AK Dental after a friend recommended them. The consultation was fantastic and everything was explained to me very clearly along with the chances of success. I felt confident in their diagnosis. I booked in and had the root canal completed which appears to have been successful and I am finally pain free! Fantastic experience: After my first consultation, I visited AK Dental Care yesterday for a root canal procedure which was going to be the first of my 2 appointments. During the whole procedure I was made to feel comfortable and did not experience any pain. After the anaesthetic wore off (I believe a gel was used rather than a needle) I was amazed how well I felt and did not have any discomfort. Whilst the cost was expensive it was absolutely worth it, because my tooth was saved. I have no hesitation in recommending AK Dental Care.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to A K Dental Care for a complicated root canal filling. I was very apprehensive about having it done, but need not of worried. Mr Khatari and staff were all very assuring and professional. At my first appointment everything about the procedure was explained and e rays taken so the problem could be seen. On the second and third visits I was given anesthetic at the start of the treatment and must say I never felt a thing. This was also the case during the rest of my time in a very comfortable chair. The entire process was totally pain free, and I would not hesitate to recommend AKDental Care to anyone else.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful team at AK Dental Care, from the receptionist who showed me great empathy when I described how anxious I was during my initial phone call, through to Anish himself. I paid for a consultation as my dentist referred me for what he suspected was a replacement of a difficult root canal requiring specialist care. I was extremely nervous about having to have this tooth worked on again some years after an initial root canal, and x-rays had not been particularly helpful in uncovering the issue. The consultation was amazing, Anish was so friendly, I was made to feel that I could ask any question I wanted, everything was explained comprehensively and I came away confident that booking the treatment was the right thing to do. I was given the costs and the 2 appointments were arranged. It is never pleasant sitting in a dental chair (albeit this one is super comfortable!) but so many things made this experience positive. The treatment took 3 sessions due to the complexity however at all times I felt confident I was getting the best possible care. The treatment worked and saved my tooth. Fantastic experience: I recently had a root canal at AK Endodontics after being referred by my dentist and I can say 5 stars are not enough! I am terrified of dentists or rather dental visits, but there is nothing to be afraid of here. Dr. Burn who performed my treatment is so kind and caring while not forgetting to mention, an absolute professional. I was made welcome and comfortable, and then gently and quickly was also made numb. The treatment was around two hours but that doesn’t mean you’re mouth is wide open all the time. I was always being asked If I was comfortable or if need a break and Dr. Burn would always let me know when I could close my mouth in the meantime as well. The best part of the whole process is that I didn’t feel a thing throughout! Not one tiny bit of pain or discomfort, even afterwards when the anaesthetic had worn off, I felt nothing! Not even a sore jaw. Now my tooth has been saved and it fees good again. I would like to thank everyone at AK Endodontics for looking after me, keeping me calm, comfortable and making me feel better about dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Mr Khatri at AK Dental by my Dentist for a Consultation about Root Canal Treatment. The Consultation was fine but I hesitated for several months from going ahead because of all I had ever heard about Root Canal treatment.  It was difficult to make up my mind and in the mean time my condition was worsening to the point of pain in my face. Eventually, I revisited Mr Khatri and and agreed to have the treatment which required 2 sessions. I did not share my apprehension with him. The Practice had a lovely atmosphere and staff at Reception were very welcoming. Mr Khatri administered the anaesthetic and I had to wonder if he had actually done it because I didn't feel a thing. He explained each step as he worked through the process and made sure I was comfortable. I felt no pain or discomfort during or after treatment on both occasions. Two days after Session 1, I knew he'd already done a good job because the facial pain had gone.  I looked forward to Session 2 just to let him know what he had done for me. Fantastic experience: I was referred to AK Dental practise by my dentist to receive a root canal. Every step was clearly explained and the potential issues that I could encounter while having a root canal, nothing was left out and I agreed to the treatment. I visited 3 times to have the treatment completed, and each visit I was welcomed by the team, felt reassured. Anish was fantastic, gentle, clam and made me feel relaxed throughout the treatment and was responsive to ensuring I experienced no pain during the treatment. Fantastic experience: I was referred to AK Dental by my usual NHS dentist. I was very nervous about having root canal work carried out as I thought it would be very unpleasant and painful. I was wrong! The staff all made me feel welcome and comfortable. The procedure was explained at a consultation visit in an easy to understand manner and the treatment was carried out over 2 further visits 4 weeks apart. On each occasion I was given a local anaesthetic that I hardly noticed going in. The treatment was carried out with no pain and the only discomfort was due to my mouth being open for a long time. I was left with very minor pain after each treatment that soon subsided. The overall experience was a lot better than I expected and based on this I would recommend AK Dental. Fantastic experience: I am pleased to share my review of the AK Dental where I recently underwent root canal treatment. I had two complex teeth that required this procedure, and my general dentist referred me to this practice. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the professionalism of the team and the cleanliness of the environment. The receptionist was lovely, upbeat, and very professional. She helped me feel welcome and at ease. Dr Anish Khatri himself was excellent, taking the time to explain what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. He used my X-rays to help visually with this, which helped me to understand the process better. The local anaesthetic was administered so gently and painlessly that I didn’t feel a thing. This was a huge relief, as I had been a little anxious about the procedure. Throughout the root canal treatment, I felt very comfortable. The dental chair was exceptionally comfy too which made the long appointments more bearable and I took my earphones to listen to a podcast (making use of the time) and the dental nurse, along with assisting Dr Katri with all he needed, was lovely and made sure I felt looked after throughout. The technology and equipment used by this practice were impressive, and I felt confident that I was in good hands. They advised I take painkillers in preparation for when the anaesthetic wears off, just in case, which I did and once the anaesthetic had worn off, I had no discomfort & I didn’t need to take pain relief beyond that. Overall, I would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone looking for professional, comfortable, and pain-free dental care. Fantastic experience: I have had intermittent toothache for some time and went to see my NHS dentist who said I had an infection. He told me the best option was a root canal treatment otherwise at some point the tooth would have to be extracted. (I had a root canal treatment on this tooth 45 years ago in Canada but one of the roots was too calcified to treat.) My NHS dentist referred me to a specialist in the same practice who told me that there wasn’t a high percentage of success but we agreed they would attempt it. When I returned for the actual treatment they took another X Ray and decided that it would be impossible and I should have it extracted. I went back to my NHS dentist (who I trust) and asked for a second opinion. He referred me to Dr Anish Khatri at AK Dental Care, Northampton. Dr Khatri explained the procedure to me and said that although it would be difficult, if it was successful it would save my tooth. The procedure itself was painless, including the local anaesthetic injection. I had some mild discomfort for a couple of days afterwards which I treated with paracetamol. Fantastic experience: I had a root canal completed over 2 sessions, both sessions the anaesthetic was given completely pain free which I have never experienced at any other dentist. Before the procedure barely begun I was asked if anything was uncomfortable to be offered more anaesthetic. I was worried when the numbness wore off I’d be in pain but everything was fine.
