Fantastic experience: I recently visited Dr. Shakti Gandecha after discovering him through high-rated reviews, and I can confidently say I have absolutely no regrets. Dr. Gandecha is incredibly professional, sincere, and genuinely patient-focused. He took the time to have a real conversation with me — no pressure, no rushed explanations and transparent. He clearly walked me through all my options, explained everything in detail, and made sure I fully understood each step. I truly felt that my needs and comfort were his top priority. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Shakti Gandecha highly enough.

Negative experience: UPDATE: So this "lovely" dentist kicked me out of the practice after he knew he screwed up my tooth, so a bit of the story, I came through nhs 111 with number 3 upper right tooth, it wasn't painful, it was just broken from inside and had a shadow on it, he decided to do a root canal on it, which he did, he put silver filling in!!!???, after 2 weeks I started calling with pain and the filling started to irritate me, he said to come in we can do some xrays and we'll see, which I did, he didn't see any problems and send me home with antibiotics which they didn't work as there wasn't any infection as he stated ‍♀️ I did lended some money from friends to go private which I did,I'm a single mum of 3, I'm struggling very much with mental health too. I went to a private dentist and he did x-ray which it shows the tooth he did was bended at the end and he didn't do it properly, I couldn't afford the treatment, I called him back, he stated he was busy and there's no space so had appointment for thrusday, I called on Thursday to find out he kicked me out because my appointment was on Monday, you know you screwed up do you. My face was swollen to the point my eye was closed, I couldn't eat or drink but I think you don't care at this point, called nhs 111, they send me for an emergency and had my tooth extraction, I'm 33 years old, I'm young woman, I'm young mum of 3, I stopped going out of the house because of what you've done, I was getting ready to write this review for months but people needs to be aware, I have the tooth that been extracted and all photos, shame really shame I trusted you. You can report it all you want but what’s in the system that’s in the system I have all proof that that tooth that I have to have removed you did it, it could be saved, so why you lying to people online? Sometimes admitting to a mistake is best, but now I can’t afford that tooth and I’m only 35 years old, and it played on my mental health, and why put dark filling in front tooth, I have it until today, it’s just a shame how people can trust others, just how, I’m not being rude it’s just truth,

Fantastic experience: Great service and friendly staff. No issues booking and organising a teeth whitening appointment, everything was explained to me, the staff were reassuring and polite. Would definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Horrendously rude. Please consider retraining your front of house team on customer service and not audibly sigh and slam the phone down. *Edit* I most certainly have the correct dental practice and can verify this with phone records. I am not a patient of yours and was actually calling to enquire about registering. The "Gentleman" who answered my call answered very abruptly, I assumed he was busy but that's not my issue. I started to speak saying that I was actually registered at another practice with a very similar name. He interrupted me saying " You know we're on St Alban's Road?" I respond yes but then get a sigh and the call was terminated from your end.

Fantastic experience: Went here for teeth whitening, was absolutely brilliant! Explained the whole process thoroughly and would highly recommend to anyone to use!

Work is done to a high standard and he goes the extra mile to make sure patients' needs are taken into account, will spend extra time investigating if need be to get to the 'root' of the problem Also won't do any work which isn't necessary just to pad the bill, which is much appreciated. The practice itself is welcoming and clean, appointments kept to the time. I feel very lucky to be able to come here!

Fantastic experience: I went here as my practice had no time for me, despite it being an emergency. What a difference. I was treated with respect, was given full information about the issues, I was not judged, and I felt completely comfortable. The dentist was soft (my regular dentist was so heavy handed that I’d go in fine and come away with all my teeth aching for days thereafter). I am changing dentists, that’s how great this practice was. I have been numerous times since and every time the service has been exemplary. I’m no longer afraid to go to the Dentist

I honestly can't thank Dr Gandecha and the team enough after such a great experience. After having a Phobia since having my daughter and bad experiences in the past and being a very nervous patient who would have panic attacks , the moment i met Dr Gandecha and discussed what was needed he not only was matter of fact ( but in a good way) but gave me a sense of comfort and ease. And didn't make me feel uncomfortable. He also saw my daughter (who was there) which was a BONUS Then he did a great job of white fillings and a mold for a mouth guard etc and then recommended a cosmetic dentist to finish something not in his field of work. I can FINALLY SMILE with confidence again and have nobody to thank but him and them so thankyou! Will see you soon for my clean haha! He knows exactly what to do, and when to do it. If I ever move from Nottingham, I'll definitely be one of those people that travels hundreds of miles to come back to his dental practice. Fantastic experience: I cannot thank you Shakti and his colleagues enough, I have been messed around by my previous dentist for 2 months waiting for work to be done, I was in absolute agony and I phoned up at 12:00 by 16:30 Shakti had sorted me out and I’m now on the road to recovery and being days before Easter I did not want to be in pain anymore for the holidays, I cannot recommend them enough, thank you.

Negative experience: Terrible dentist, who lacks any social skills. He also likes to put elderly people in care homes through unnecessary dental treatment so he can claim the money from the NHS. You may notice many of the reviewers on here are from Leicester, I imagine that's because that's where he lives and these are his friends and family, rather than people travelling to Nottingham just for a dentist

Fantastic experience: Found this practice a few years ago after another local dentist I was at as a private patient, tried to sting me for £2000 for a tooth extraction and false tooth. Lucky I found this place and all I needed was a deep filling and some TLC, very polite, accommodating and seems a genuine nice guy, I have also found the support staff friendly and welcoming. I have registered my two children here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Fantastic experience: I had a filling randomly fall out and due to being in Nottingham with family for Christmas, I was really worried about which dentist would see me without being registered as a patient and who would even make the time at such a busy time in the year. These guys not only squeezed me in the first time I called for the same day but actually called to get me in earlier, just after, they are an NHS facility so charges are not through the roof like private dentists and the dentist is the kindest, most eloquent, kind, and talented man I’ve had the pleasure to have look after me, at such short notice I would’ve taken anything but what I got was 5 star and I’m so grateful. They honestly saved my Christmas.

I can honestly say hand on heart, I’ve never felt more comfortable attending a dental practice. I explained to Dr Gandecha that I was very anxious on my first visit to the practice and he made me feel so welcome, took his time and kept asking if I was ok etc. Due to this, I have decided to undergo further treatment here. Fantastic experience: Have been a client of Shakti since he first opened. Definitely cannot recommend him highly enough. He has a very professional feel and works expediently and efficiently. Always leaves you feeling calm and reassured. He works to a high standard , with quality work and only uses the very best dental materials. He fitted me in when I had pain from a damaged tooth..an hour later all was resolved and it didn't hurt at all. I would recommend to everyone to give him a call and especially if you are a nervous patient. He is very easy going, patient and very reassuring That said I'm allergic to dental anaesthetic and never have any anaesthetic when he does my work. And I don't feel anything hardly ...pain free fillings. So that says how gentle and excellent his work is. He reminds me more of the service you get in London at a high end dental spa than a local dentist. This is a gem of a find and easy to get to - just a one minute walk from the bulwell forest tram stop ...so easy for everyone to visit him. The atmosphere of the practice is so warm and friendly and the dentist is so kind and considerate. He was incredibly patient with me and completely non-judgmental, explained every part of my treatment as he was doing it to keep me informed and is just a genuinely lovely person. The work he's done has left my teeth looking the best they ever have. I'm beyond impressed. The dental nurse is also incredibly friendly and couldn't have done more to put me at ease. Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr Gandecha for more than 7 years now, and I have to say he's a phenomenal dentist. I always have so much fun during my visits, which is pretty unusual to say for a dental practice. He is patient and kind, he always pays attention to my concerns, and all the treatments I've had so far have been of a greatly high standard. He's also exceptionally good with aesthetic dental work! I couldn't recommend him more if I tried. He's a wonderful dentist and an even more wonderful person. For anyone reading this that's looking for a dentist, this is the place to be!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a few dentists in Nottingham and non of them compare to the professionalism and understanding this dentist shows. He is extremely honest and his approach is always of a friendly nature. Recently I had some work done on one of my front teeth and I wasn’t hopeful that it could be saved. Despite there being a 50/50 chance of a crown taking, the dentist still worked hard to save what was left of my tooth and fitted a crown. He’s done a fantastic job and I am so happy at what he has achieved. He is also always very understanding to my mental health which is something I struggle with and has recently contacted me to offer me an appointment when I forgot to make one. I wouldn’t go anywhere else now and would highly recommend this dentist to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Discovered this dental practice by chance and I couldn't be happier with all the work done. I had a really good friendly service within a calm, warm atmosphere. Had plenty of work to be done (fillings and tooth decays) but all was done with minimal discomfort and no pain at all. Will definitely be staying on and returning on a regular basis :)
