Fantastic experience: I havent been a patient very long but have found the surgery to be friendly helpful and welcoming, ...My dentist and her nurse make me feel safe and confident which is amazing as I am a Very nervous patient...I am under treatment now and have to have some serious issues attended to...whilst I am naturally not looking forward to this work, I feel that I will be treated in the best possible way and taken the best care of...definately 5 stars all around..

Fantastic experience: Cannot rate this practise highly enough! Just had my first hygienist appointment with Kim and she was brilliant. The service is thorough and caring. The cleaning treatment itself (for me, everyone's different I know) was painless and showed impressive visible results. And no significant sensitivity in the hours afterwards either. Not only that, but the compassion from everyone in the practise from the reception ladies to the clinicians was much appreciated - I had not realised the length of the appointment, and left myself short of time to collect my daughter from school - this was absolutely my own mistake, but everyone helped make sure I got away on time. Compared to other practises where I've been left sore and sensitive after just a check up, I can't believe how relatively gentle this treatment was. Also, my daughter is 5 years old and is super comfortable having her check ups here. There's a relaxed, no pressure environment, which I think is key to a good relationship with dental care. Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: I was so worried about my emergency dental appointment as I have always been so frightened of visiting the dentist! From the moment I rang and spoke to the receptionist (Ann, I think her name was), I immediately felt reassured and less worried. The dentist Emma was wonderful and very caring. She explained exactly everything she was doing and put me at ease. I was so happy with the temporary dental work that she did and look forward..I think .. to my next appointment!!

Fantastic experience: These people go above and beyond. After having swelling in my face due to an abscess, calling drs out of hours dentist. My husband called here they seen me straight away. The reception staff are amazing friendly and very helpful. The dentist I seen was new there he again was amazing. I have never felt so calm and comfortable at a dentist before. I absolutely hate dentist and end up having panic attacks not here. Wish I new about this dentist sooner. Yes you have to pay abit more as not nhs, but it’s worth every penny. I can’t recommend this dentist and staff enough.

Positive experience: My children had an appointment with Henry, absolutely brilliant dentist. Very kind, made a big effort with them, explained what he was doing etc. They all can’t wait to see him again. The only issue was a comment from the receptionist, who was a kind girl, however she offered another appointment for next time and it didn’t fit in around school so changed it to another day but she said “just to let you know nhs patients should really take appointments offered, it’s private patients who get the appointments that work better for them”. I found that rather condescending, but it was no the receptionists fault at all its policy I assume and she did try to say it very politely.

Fantastic experience: Lifelong major fear of dentists until I met Mandy my new dentist. Not only did she put me at ease, she explains clearly every procedure and reasons why it is required beforehand. Mandy is very patient and understanding and very caring about her patients. After more than 50 years, I can now walk in alone and have any procedure done without having to drag my poor husband, or sister to come with me and hold my hand throughout. Mandy is in all honesty, the best dentist I have ever had. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I came for my initial assessment at Hanlon and Gardner with a known problem. The Dentist undertook a thorough examination with X-Rays. He analysed the problem, identified another and proposed a comprehensive course of treatment. He explained his reasoning and had answers to all my supplementary questions. I have full confidence in his professional competence because of his open communication and approachable manner.

Fantastic experience: Through complete cowardly fear I have neglected my teeth and gums for many years and have finally had to be pushed to the dentist by my partner, an extraction was needed! I put it off as long as I could however I needn't have worried, Emma totally put me at ease and it was over in no time, no pain at all, amazing. Can't wait to go back (well maybe a bit far).

Negative experience: My son needed an urgent appointment, living off pain relief, he attended the surgery taking time off work at their only available appointment, to be told on arrival (because he had missed a previous appointment (he offered to pay for) that his dentist would not see him. Leaving him in pain and no appointment.

Fantastic experience: my wife and children come here, they see Sue, she is friendly, efficient and good at putting patients at ease. the building is cheerful and has lovely character to it, but is also light and airy. all the reception staff are really lovely and its nice as they have music playing in the background. the dental nurses seem friendly also, my wife assures me that Rosie is wonderful at calming nerves.
