Positive experience: I went for a tooth extraction, they offered me numbing gel for the procedure, however the gel didn’t help with the needle when it was going inside my mouth, however, the extraction was quick and not painful at all, However, I was shocked it was £96 for the procedure as I was told by the orthodontist I needed the extraction, I don’t blame the dentist for this lack of information, however, even when I arrived, no cost was stated, I only found out when I signed the warning they give to state anything that can go wrong. I do wish they would’ve told me verbally rather than a piece of paper telling me the prices and with the price was not at the bottom, but at the top of the paper

Fantastic experience: The whole team at FHP Caernarfon go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at ease. The Denplan scheme represents excellent value for money. I have recently had cause to make 2 non-scheduled appointments as I had a concern with an issue with a gum and upper tooth. Although I was not due for a check up as soon as I explained the nature of my concern the telephonist hastily organised me an appointment with the dentist, John. He listened to my concerns, undertook a thorough investigation of the area of concern and took an X-Ray. He was able to resolve the issue for me and provide reassurance. As a Denplan patient the fee for the extra consultation and X-Ray was discounted and represented very good value for money.

Was so gentle and relaxing, left happy with the best clean I’ve ever had. Not my usual dentist so was VERY impressed to find it was better than my usual, who I thought was great

My dentist John put me at ease since I am not keen on injections in my mouth he was very helpful and made me feel comfortable and reasured me. My tooth was taken out in no time and was explained about athe aftercare.

Fantastic experience: I booked an appointment before Christmas to visit my dentist in Caernarfon. I was admitted to hospital during the beginning of January which inevitably involved the cancellation of my appointment which was due mid January. The dental practice were aware of my predicament. As a consequence of this, they offered an alternative appointment early February. They were very helpful which was reassuring. I cannot thank them enough for their service.

Positive experience: Following my re-location from North East London to North Wales I was looking for a new dentist and decided to choose FHP Caernarfon Dental. The staff were friendly, helpful and cooperative. On my first appointment, John Newland carried out a thorough examination with x-rays, answered all my queries and provided some welcome information on how to improve my dental hygiene. He was both excellent and highly efficient. After attending my last dentist in London for over 27 years there was always some apprehension in finding a suitable alternative. In doing so, I was very pleased with my choice and the standard of care that I received. I would recommend FHP Caernarfon Dental to anyone who might be searching for a new practice to join.

Negative experience: Dont bother with this dental practice. First off impossible to even get through and book and appointment. Followed by rushed and botched work from the dentist. Requiring repeat visits just to try and get the job done properly Painful and unplesant experience.

Fantastic experience: Phoned for an emergency appt on a monday morning, was seen in 2 hours. After being in pain all weekend within half an hour i received xrays and tooth extraction with no pain what so ever! Made me feel at ease throughout

It is more expensive than what we used to pay for treatments at our old place, but it does feel that you get your monies worth in terms of availability of appointments within weeks and not months, and stuff like the facilities and equipment used here feels modern and up to date.

John is very thorough and reassuring, and taught me to use interdental brushes - my previous dentist never mentioned these and they are a game changer, let me tell you! x-rays were included in the initial appointment and i felt that my oral health was very well explained to me. i also had a hygienist appointment with Toni who was great and my teeth were perfect afterwards. highly recommend.

Rang 111 Wales with no joy, rand six or seven different dentists and Castle Street Dental Surgery came to the rescue. Excellent job done in a very timely manner. The dentist mentioned that who ever made my crown 41 years ago did a marvellous job, through talking to him after it transpired that he had worked with the dentist who originally fitted, in Churchdown Gloucestershire, small world.
