Negative experience: I been visiting this dentist for 40 years and never had a problem until recently! My own dentist Holly was ill so I was asked if mark could do the work instead which I agree to ! Wrong decision!! First appointment he was fine talking laughing and very polite but that’s it !! Second visit ( I was having new set of dentures) he had completely changed he was quite very abrupt and not very professional. Third visit ( Holly was now on holiday) he was worse he couldn’t wait to get me out ( bearing in mind this treatment was costing £820 ) I had my new dentures fitted and sent home . After a couple of hours my mouth was very sore as there was a tiny slither of tooth catching on my gum , I made and appointment to go back and when I did god what a difference he actually accused me of lying he said I had bitten my lip I protested that I hadn’t but he was very rude unprofessional and made me feel like a naughty child I left , no sorry he particularly threw me out! I emailed to complain and he half heartedly apologised and admitted he was out of order! I will never go to him again horrible man

Fantastic experience: The most wonderful experience today as far as dentist visits go. My session was with Richard and his assistant (sorry, i didn't catch her name). The customer experience was fab from beginning to end, they were very attentive and put me at ease. Richard was so patient and explained everything to me in ways i could understand, talking me through my XRAY's and he had time to answer my questions. I felt he was really interested in my experience and I didn't feel at all rushed which is a first. I left with a good understanding of the issue and a plan which was reassuring. Would recommend Richard and his team to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Just a teeth clean this visit. Everyone at this dental practice are lovely. I used to be really scared going to the dentist but Mark my dentist put me at ease. I know that anything I need doing he is reassuring and keeps my teeth in the best condition.

Fantastic experience: After breaking my bridge (3 front teeth) it looked horrendous ,so I booked an appointment with Asfa she was brilliant she talked me through my options and explained the procedure.Overall it took a month to correct the end result is amazing my teeth look and feel great .Asfa and her assistant Saf were so supportive throughout the 4 1/2 hours it took to prep my teeth and the after care from them plus Loo was so supportive I would definitely recommend them all at Honley Dental Practice

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Honley Dental Practice since I was about 6 years old, I am now 23 years old. For this reason, I never understood why people said that they were afraid of going to the dentist - as I’ve always had such good experiences. The staff are always very kind and good at what they do. Today I had two premolars taken out, which is obviously a very uncomfortable experience. I don’t normally write reviews, but I really want to thank the dentist Saqib and his assistant (I believe her name was Kelly.) they helped to make an awful experience feel much more comfortable. Thank you for keeping my spirits up and making sure that I was okay throughout the whole procedure. I honestly cannot imagine how it would have been without such great supportive staff. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment today for a wisdom tooth extraction performed by Saqib and his assistant Kelly. I was quite anxious about having it done especially with it being a wisdom tooth. I was soon made to feel at ease with Saqib and Kelly's lovely proffessional manner. The injection didn't hurt and Saqib explained everything he was doing. He made me feel I could stop at anytime during the extraction so I could have a rest . He was so calm and confident i was quite amazed when the tooth came out! You don't realise what a fantastic service these Dentists and team provide, during lockdown when my tooth was so painful the team were on hand to give helpful reassuring advice until they were able to treat me. I am so greatful that I am registered with honley dental practice as the whole team are so friendly which makes a huge difference when you are anxious from not so nice childhood memories of the dentist in the past. Fantastic experience: After a very painful, trying week with a wisdom tooth, Mr Saghir came in on his day off, to take it out for me. He was so lovely, as was the nurse assisting him, and I felt I was in good hands. He is so good at giving injections too. Felt hardly anything. Although a bit of the root broke off and is still in situe, I was reassured by Mr Saghir and Mark that it should heal over and be fine. Fingers crossed for that. Fantastic experience: I was lucky to find Mark at Honley dental practice many years ago. He is first rate. I've had a root canal done by mark (damage caused by previous dentist) which he said might last 5 years...it lasted 10. I've since had an implant. The whole process was excellently handled and I have a perfect result. This whole practice is highly professional and well run from the admin staff, the hygienist to the dental surgeons. Do yourself a favour and get on their books if you can. I would not trust anyone else with my teeth!

Negative experience: My wife was overcharged for our 1st appointment with them. We just moved into the area and they took us on as NHS patients, and even though we had a checkup a month before, they insisted on seeing us. Fair enough. My wife had a checkup and polish - which she was charged Band 2 price for. NHS Band 1 includes a polish and clean! Band 2 is for root canals, extractions and fillings!! Mark, the dentist was rude too - had an attitude problem from the moment she walked in - she asked if there was anything she could do better for cleaning her teeth and his reply was "I only have a certain amount of time for the appointments, you know!". He then asked her why she was here. She said "It's our first appointment with yourselves, but I was checked a month ago by our old dentist" - to which he said "Well, you don't have to be here. Plenty more people will take your place if you want!". Unprofessional. Now I am fighting with them to refund the money they owe from overcharging us! I will use the old dentist from where we lived before! Oh, and I apparently need 2 fillings even though the X-Ray I had a month before showed it to be fine. I have no idea if the other dentists are better here, but I wouldn't touch Mark with a 10ft bargepole.

Fantastic experience: None of us can say we enjoy going to the dentist. However, at Honley Dental Practice the dentists are caring and considerate and always make you feel at ease. The nursing staff and receptionists are very helpful polite and friendly, and you are always greeted with a smile. All round excellence!!!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dentist. Great service. I'm frightened of needles but David Bretton made me feel at ease and made the whole experience much better. Thanks a lot guys

Fantastic experience: Been a patient at Honley Dental Practice for a good while now and would recommend them.

Negative experience: We have been using this dentist as a family for over 10 years and the service has always been good. However today my wife and 2 of our children were late for an appointment and we told that they wouldn't be seen and would be taken off the list and to ring the NHS to find a new dentist. My wife asked if they would at least see the children and she was told no. Apparently they had allowed a 20 minute appoint to check all 3 of them and as they were 10 minutes late the policy was that they wouldn't see any of them. I am surprised that they only allowed 20 minutes for all 3 check ups when it's usually 20 minutes each. We are angry about their beuracratic policy and a complete lack of customer service to long standing patients. They recently had a dentist leave and now we are wondering why!

Fantastic experience: I have visited Honley Dental Practice for a number of years and I will not be changing practices' any time soon. My dentist is professional and efficient and I have had no problems whilst visiting or making an appointment. Also not to mention the lovely staff on reception who are very friendly and helpful. 

Fantastic experience: I don't think anyone can really say going to the dentist is an enjoyable experience. Like most people I am a little anxious when I go; however I feel that all the staff at the Honley Dental Practice genuinely care for me, really try to look after me and put me at ease. Thank you.
