Fantastic experience: I had such a positive experience at this practice. The staff are incredibly welcoming and the clinic itself is beautiful and very well organised. It’s clear that patient care is a top priority here. I would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist they can truly trust.

Negative experience: Every filling I get done falls out and always end up having to back

Negative experience: A couple of years ago while on a routine appointment, I was told I would need two root canals and needed to spend over £1K. With no pain or symptoms, I went for a second opinion at a private clinic and they resolved the issue with a filling for £150. Now that it is years later, I can say the advice I got at Prior Vale was bad, and I would never go there again. Would recommend spending more on a better dentist as it works out cheaper by not getting unnecessary work done.

Fantastic experience: I have never had a bad experience at this dental surgery and I've been going there for ten years. Both dentists are incredibly kind and gentle and they never suggest work, including x-rays, unless absolutely necessary. Their hygienist is also exceptionally good - thorough but still really gentle and pain-free. Recommended.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about my visits to Priory Vale Dental Practice — all were honestly the most caring and positive dental experiences I’ve ever had in my life! From the start, the entire team made me feel welcome and genuinely cared for. My dentist was fantastic - professional, calm, and incredibly thorough. He explained everything clearly, answered all my (many!) questions with patience, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. You can tell he truly care about his patients and take pride in his work. Just amazing!! What really stuck with me was the kindness of the dental nurse. At one point when I was feeling anxious, she quietly reached over and held my hand. That simple, compassionate gesture made all the difference - it helped me feel grounded and cared for. It’s rare to find that level of empathy, and I’ll never forget it. Thank you, lovely lady! The hygienist there, omg! she is simply awesome - super gentle but incredibly thorough. She even gave me some tips that I’ve actually started using (and I usually forget those the second I walk out the door!). My teeth felt sparkling clean, and I didn’t feel rushed or uncomfortable at all. Honestly, it felt like I was in the hands of people who love what they do and truly care about making your experience a good one. If you're nervous about the dentist or just looking for a team that goes above and beyond, this is the place to go. Fantastic experience: Had to have a wisdom tooth removed, the dental practice organised a surgeon for me at the practice, saving me a lengthy wait and hospital appointments! The surgery went smoothly and efficiently. Aftercare was excellent, I was given detailed instructions on caring for my mouth until the socket had healed. My whole family use this dental practice and the dentist’s and staff are all brilliant! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I’ve haven’t been to a dentist in a long time, Mr Gilani was able to find the problem with my teeth and solve it within 20 minutes, that included a tooth extraction

Negative experience: Without doubt the worst dentist that I have ever encountered. I called up in severe pain. I was told that this was Friday, they were going home at 3 pm, and that I should contact emergency services if I had a problem, this was at 12:30. This dentist only seems to know 3 procedures, root canal, crown, and extraction not long afterwards. You will have blown over a grand and be left with a gap in your mouth.

Fantastic experience: Mr Gilani is the most gentle and patient dentist. I was so frightened to have my first filling in my 30s but I didn’t even KNOW he’d done the injection!!! Whutt!! Amazing gentle care!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to the dentist and his staff, they were all amazing. Walked into the Practice yesterday as my filing had fallen out. Arrived at 3pm and walked out at 3.30pm, tooth fixed. Exceptional service I will definitely be returning

Fantastic experience: First time visiting this dentist & the lady we saw was excellent. Very informative & Reasurring. Gave myself & my husband option's for different types of treatment. The ladies on reception were extremely friendly & gave excellent service answering questions we had. Glad we have found this dental practice. Thank you!

Negative experience: Sadly, our experience of Priory Vale has gone downhill in recent years. They switched from NHS to private without informing their patients, charging my partner hundreds of pounds when he went for an appointment because he hadn't been informed about the changes and were also rude and refused treatment on my Dad. My young son has had an issue recently that the dentist claimed was 'normal' but others in dental care have informed me it is not and they refused to see him again when the issue worsened, claiming 'it was normal' even though he is in pain and distress. The receptionist was extremely rude, claiming they 'aren't seeing patients' when my son was literally seen for the same issue a few weeks ago (it has since worsened and he was given no treatment). I will now be leaving and moving elsewhere and I'd discourage anyone to sign up here. Update: They saw my son as he had a gaping hole in his gum and informed me it was completely normal. My instincts told me it wasn't and I tried to get him seen by them again to which they said they 'weren't really seeing patients face-to-face'. I took him to another dentist for a second opinion and he has an abcess underneath the filling in the tooth causing the hole and pus and needs to have 2 teeth removed. Absolutely incompetent dentist and I'll be putting forward a formal complaint.

Negative experience: Worst dentist I have been to in my life. Extremely expensive and poor quality of treatment. Do not use for complicated procedures. The lure customer by offering NHS treatment but do the treatment privately charging you a fortune. £500 for a root canal ! The dentist argument was NHS don't pay them enough i.e. £62 for Band 2 Treatment

Negative experience: Changed mainly to private. Excessive charges, if you want the nhs dentist she is only in a couple of days per month, so no chance. Office staff don't really seem bothered .

Negative experience: we changed to a new dentist recently because this place did not seem competent. the new dentist found decay in both my wife and I that had been there a long time and this dentist had missed.

Fantastic experience: This is a superb dentist. Mr G is a brilliant dentist. Unfortunately he now does mainly private dentistry. So so is usually unavailable to NHS patients. Luckily there is a team of excellent dentists for NHS patients. Everyone and everything here is totally professional I cannot think of any improvements which could be made. Unfortunately no one here can do miracles. So if you don't attend a dentist for your check ups, and choose to neglect your teeth, then that is Your fault, Not your Dentist or Reception staff.

Negative experience: Booking the appointment over the phone was easy and the lady who booked it was nice and helpful. The dentist didn’t really explain to me what was happening and what he was doing. There was a lot of typing on his computer and little explanation. I had to ask a lot of prompting questions but eventually kind of got an explanation. This didn’t bother me as much as the experience with the receptionist. She was snappy and grumpy. I felt like she was just having a bad day but the customers of the practice shouldn’t have to deal with it.

Fantastic experience: Really happy with my treatment and also made to feel at ease, my dentist has always explained what's happening before, during and after a procedure, even passing me a mirror to see what he is doing whilst doing my last root canel. Never an issue getting an appointment.

Negative experience: Needed x-ray for my own use. Receptionist Stacey was awful on the phone. Yes, I did not know what kind of x-ray I require hence she should have explained the options and pricing. Patronising and rude. Bad experience. I can’t imagine treating customers like that in my business. If you’re having a bad day love go home and don’t have a go at your customers/patients.
