Fantastic experience: I appreciate all dentists are extremely busy and over capacity and under extreme pressure to meet everyone’s individual needs however my constant pain had become unbearable and despite this pressure and my constant nagging the staff remained calm and professional. The staff did manage to get me in a little earlier than expected and would check each morning up to my appointment date to see if there was a possibility of my calling even sooner. When it eventually came to treatment the staff were apologetic that they could not fit me in any earlier and had empathy throughout my treatment which turned out to be a little more difficult than expected and was completed over two days. Almost 4 hours and two dentist later my tooth had been removed and on both days the staff telephoned me each morning to check that I was ok.

Fantastic experience: Always been terrified of the dentist from the era of laughing gas to take teeth out. I enrolled in this practise recently and was extremely relived with my appointment with Ben Jones -he immediately put me at ease and throughly explained the procedures I needed in detail without alarming me. I had a print out of the examination and X-rays and a detailed printout of the discussions that took place. I would absolutely recommend this practise for the care and attention you are given from the moment you walk through the door.

Fantastic experience: Newport Branch dealt with me so expertly and professionally and i was in dire of need for some help. Lydia the optician was absolutely fantastic and fully understood my needs as it also affected my livelihood. Lydia arranged for Chris to do some additional tests( who was also excellent) and then I was seen at extremely short notice again and the result was i had all my work restrictions removed. How everything was explained and how all actions were carried out were fantastic and i know where i will be going in future and how i will be seeing.

My usual dentist was unavailable so I saw Adam .. wow dental phobic me had a pain free extraction that was done in what felt like seconds! The aftercare was given too me .. even when my mouth came back to life … no pain or further problems! Extremely impressed 5 star service ⭐️

Fantastic experience: Had a consultation with Guy at the practice for Invisalign; he was very informative and very real in what we can achieve in the timeframe I need as I’m getting married in September. He absolutely sold me on getting them! I am just waiting for my Invisalign 3D video to come to me so I can go ahead with the booking! There was no pressure to purchase anything and I felt right at home!

I am a very very nervous patient to the fact that I am unable to speak as soon as I go through the door, up the stairs and continually cry from start to finish. Needing to take my mum as escort. Having met the most amazing dentist and lovely nurses that have worked with me giving constant reassurance throughout and wiping my tears away. On the 3rd April I made it in through the door and actually spoke to the receptionist giving my name. I was called in to see Denise and did not shed a tear and was not nervous I kept it together. A massive Thank you to Denise McAleer and her team for helping and supporting me throughout. This hopefully was the first of many visits without tears. Some may think this is silly but for a 46 year old lady to be this scared is not good. Now through constant support and reassurance im starting to relax. Thank you ever so much. xx

Fantastic experience: I have been with Laffens for long but they have been really good..

Positive experience: Always had excellent care from any dentist or hygienist I have seen. The staff on the reception desk are also very helpful. I’ve always been very pleased with any dental work I have had done. It’s a shame that appointments need to be booked over a year in advance. Despite paying monthly for my plan, I have only managed to be seen by both dentist and hygienist once in 18 months rather than a year (which is on my plan). This feels like I am paying for a service which I’m not receiving. I know that my dad, who pays extra to receive 4 appointments in a year has only been seen 3 times. It seems the practice is very busy but have posters in the window to say they are taking on new patients.

Fantastic experience: Dr Puddle is the greatest dentist the world has ever seen. I broke my false tooth off in labour and he saw me right away to fix it so I could take nice pictures with my new baby. Thank you Puddle!

I have been with practice years, I was with Martin Laffan for 25 years, and I felt in safe hands. I was a nervous wreck when Martin retired. I thank god for Aled! He is a blessing!! I would have no hesitation in recommending this practice. Update: I have had a few more appointments, tooth extraction and removal of roots after a broken crown. Aled at this point has become a hero! Checking up on me ensuring I am fine, tolerant of my anxiety and wonderfully gifted dentist! Thank you! I will also mention the lovely receptionists who are welcoming and always happy to help.

The practice was recommended to me by two, colleagues, and I’m so glad I made my initial consultation. They have been absolutely amazing throughout my implant journey, as well as routine appointments. Everyone at Laffan has contributed to making me feel at ease - from the kind and friendly receptionists, to the hygienist, Martha during my routine appointments and Guy and Rhian throughout my treatment. All staff are so lovely which makes going to the dentist much easier as an anxious adult. I was apprehensive when I first started my implant journey, but Guy and all other staff have gone above and beyond to make me feel at ease and deliver the results I always hoped for. Dr Denise McAleer is such a lovely dentist and didnt mind answering all my questions, iv seen her twice so far and shes so welcoming. I never used to smile in photos before due being uncomfortable with the way my teeth looked but after 6 months of Invisalign and help from Dr Adam I now feel confident in my smile!! If I had a question it was always answered quickly and I was never left in the dark, I’ve had a really good experience!

Fantastic experience: I went to see Guy Laffan for a consultation as my own dentist had said I needed a crown instead of a filling but had quoted me a lot of money. When I saw Guy he said he may be able to fill the tooth when he has a look at it. I was very grateful that he was able to fill it as I was still able to keep my tooth and he saved me a lot of money. I would definitely recommend Guy and will return if I need any restorative dentistry.
