Fantastic experience: I had to attend this practice for emergency treatment , can't speak highly enough of the professionalism and friendliness of the staff on reception and the Dentist Jessica. Thank you for the treatment and support I received on the day , my tooth is well and I'm pain free

Fantastic experience: I have recently had treatment from this dental practice and I can fully recommend it as the staff are very kind and courteous especially Paul as he is very reassuring and polite. Thanks also to Lucy and Rosie on reception as they are both very pleasant.

Negative experience: As previous customer I have also come to this practice for 60 years Mr Stobbs and Mr Friar before. All your customers knew this would happen. All about money. Very annoyed after working from the age of 15.5 now 62 and still paying full stamp. Have respect for your customers who stayed loyal after Mr Stobbs and keep those on NHS on NHS prices and don't disrespect us. I was told to go on NHS waiting list for Paul, but learnt he is also going private and I would be at the bottom of the list anyway. After 60 years you should feel ashamed at your lack of customer service and putting money first.

Negative experience: Been going to this dentist for nearly 40 years and now I'm told that the dentist I see is going private and I can't be seen by one of the others in the practice. My only options are going private,an extra expense I really could do without or trying to find another NHS dentist,and we all know how difficult that is. To say I'm annoyed is an understatement.

Negative experience: Having ongoing treatment for a crown, work on which originally started in March 2023. During this time I have had numerous appointments to make adjustments to the crown, to eventually be told it now has a hole and requires replacement. During this time I have had to live with sensitivity and discomfort, been asked to pay check-up fees despite all work being covered by a 12 month guarantee, and had to take a significant amount of time away from work to attend appointments (2.5 hours yesterday alone). Staff at the practice are extremely friendly though, which I am thankful for.

Fantastic experience: My dentist explained clearly that what he was proposing (to help me get back to playing my saxophone) was on the experimental side & therefore might not work. I said that I was prepared to take the risk as well as incurring the cost of the treatment, even if it failed, because I least I had given it a go. Positive experience: I see back to waiting room downstairs very close to toilets... then the cupboard room - not ideal when using crutches. Saw the reception now on right and there is a private waiting room - not good See private patients waiting area comfy seats. Have to pass through to the tiny room....

Positive experience: jessica is great as my regular dentist, the others are smashing as well, admin staff are fantatistic, the dental rooms themselves are immaculate, why only 3 stars ? the state of the building is frankly disgraceful, Ive witnessed holes in carpets, tatty wallpaper, dirty marks on walls, light bulbs out, dirty skirting boards, it has challenges anyway with the layout, it used to be a residential house, but the general shabbiness of the place is actually offputting, whoever is in charge of the building needs to get there finger out and hand in pocket to update it to a profesional standard

Negative experience: Had a temporary crown fitted, unfortunately it fell off after 4 hours. Will call in the morning an hope to get an emergency appointment.

Fantastic experience: I have been unable to get a dentist appointment since before the corona virus pandemic so I haven't been to the dentist for about 5 years. Ryton dental clinic got me straight in this morning as an emergency I require 3 fillings and I have an appointment next week for the first two. The staff were friendly and helpful the clinic was a rustic old terrace house but was very modern inside. Overall brilliant service

Positive experience: After Lisa left the practice I was placed with Paul who advised having a fractured crown replaced. He went through my options and I decided upon another NHS crown. After having impressions taken, one of my other fillings became loose and then dropped out before the work was completed. Paul advised me that a crown would be the best option for this other tooth but I would have to pay a further £282 which I was quite surprised to hear. I thought it would be covered in the same NHS band. I therefore opted for another filling as there was no additional payment. Otherwise I am happy with work carried out by Paul.

Fantastic experience: Needed an appointment for filling repair, called in to make appointment and got one no problem. The receptionist then and the one I saw when I went for appointment were both friendly and welcoming. I needed further treatment and both dentists I saw were very helpful and explained treatment and costs with a follow-up up email confirming and offering further advice to help me decide before I go for my next appointment. Definitely recommend this practice, all staff made me feel welcome and acknowledged me while waiting for treatment.

Fantastic experience: After watching the really interesting videos on the tv screen in the upstairs waiting room I decided to have a consultation about Ivisalign. Rebecca was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, answering most of my questions before they were asked and the ones I later thought of. The scan was not unpleasant and it was fascinating to see the possible results that I can achieve. I'm really excited to take the next step!
