Fantastic experience: From when you enter Cheriton Dental Practice you are met with a warm cheerful and professional welcome. Sheila and all of the receptionists are just so helpful. Andy Thomas is certainly one of the outstanding dentists. Not only do you feel relaxed in his company and his assistant Ann but you are guaranteed a thorough examination and the best of dental outcomes. Everything is explained and patient comfort is a priority. I’ve had numerous treatments with Andy and so pleased my teeth are looked after by him. I’ve also had an implant with Carmen and it was just brilliant from start to finish and I wouldn’t know it wasn’t my own. So lucky to have this practice in Christchurch.

Positive experience: Receptionists are friendly and very helpful. Hygenists and dentists are also efficient and friendly. Negatives are that I feel i have a new hygenist or dentist each time I visit and referrals are common place- this is disappointing as this is a private dentist and I would expect for the dentists to be highly skilled. I dont appreciate having to travel a fair distance forsome treatments. Prices are fair

Fantastic experience: Dentist Francis Nickowski put me at ease After having dentist Gavin Quigley previously who was by far the best dentist I had ever had I was somewhat anxious about having a different dentist, Francis put me at ease and had a good experience given that you're having holes drilled in your face.

Positive experience: Little put out that I wasn’t told that Julie had retired. I’d made the appointment months ago and booked a Tuesday as that was one of the few days that she worked even though it wasn’t convenient for me. That said, the clean I got from Liz was excellent but for £99 it jolly well should be. Very expensive.

Negative experience: Dental treatment is good though expensive. There's a lot they could improve to make you feel more valued as clients though - reception, waiting room (way too hot in the winter!) and their threatening texts reminding you of your appointment.

Fantastic experience: Previously at Cheriton I had a very caring dentist, who retired. I felt quite nervous about this change, however my new dentist Maria has been amazing. She has spent a little time getting to know me and really takes time to explain procedures and options. Recently I had a long root canal procedure. Maria was so gentle, thoughtful and efficient, she constantly checked on my welfare. and the tooth has settled down really well. She also managed to fit me in for an emergency with an hours notice! I can't speak highly enough of my dentist, the dental support staff and those on reception. If you are looking for a dentist, particularly if you feel nervous, then this is the place for you.

Positive experience: I have no issues with the care I received which was excellent but I was shocked by the charge. I know charges have risen but it has caused me to cancel my next hygenist appointment in anticipation of what the charge is going to be and I will just brush harder and for longer.

Fantastic experience: Moved to this Practice as Simon moved here and I was unable to be happy with a different dentist, he’s honest, very thorough ( I’m nervous as you hear all the time from others of dentists saying they need work when they don’t. That’s never the case with Simon ) He was also great with my 3 year old Daughter, she had such a nice time and was comfortable and at ease the whole time. She insists on telling everyone all about it. Reception were also very polite and helpful and again fantastic with my Daughter. Could not be happier and highly recommend this Practice.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient to this practice and made my appointment to see Andy Thomas. I was recommended to this practice by a friend, who actually see’s a different dentist but I made the decision to see Andy based on he’s experience and my needs. I am a nervous patient but from the offset I knew I’d made the right decision. Andy is practical, calm and reassuring, he is very gentle and you feel like you are in safe hands. Andy and Anna he’s nurse are an extremely knowledgeable and competent team, together they ensure the appointments are well managed, I didn’t feel rushed or like the treatment was taking forever! Andy ensures you’re are involved in the process every step of the way which just makes you feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend Andy or the practice to anyone looking for a new dentist. Both my friend and I are extremely happy with the care we’ve received and we both see different dentist’s, so I don’t think you can go wrong. The fees are also very fair for the quality and the treatment provided.

Fantastic experience: I can only speak for my own experiences during the horrible existence of the Pandemic over the last two years. The staff at this clinic have continued to maintain their high standards of patient care, safety and compassion despite all the enforced delays and government health regulations .Also I acknowledge that they have all had their own personal concerns and pressures at home throughout so I would like to offer my contratulations and applause for their acheivements. Positive experience: Staff friendly and helpful. Dental treatment probably as good as any private dentist. Do wish they had a disabled car park space as available spaces are too narrow to open doors properly.

The hygeinists have all been thorough and friendly too, as are the nurses and reception staff. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: On arrival I am always greeted by polite receptionists, a special shout out to Sheila. I have also received excellent and professional treatment from Georgia (Hygienist) and Paulina (Dentist) I must also mention Gavin (Dentist) who treated me at short notice, dealing with a chipped tooth, without causing me any pain or distress.

Fantastic experience: As a patient of Robyn Hughes for very many years, I cannot imagine any dentist being more knowledgeable and skilled - and there can't be many dental surgeries where you can share a joke with your dentist but we do. Spotlessly clean practice, well equipped, and - so far - pain free. I don't dread seeing the dentist as so many people do: I look forward to it!

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient here. I was deregistered by my previous dentist because I had not attended for 2 years during COVID. So when I got a bad toothache, I had to find myself a new dentist. I went to the first dentist I could find that was available last Friday, but my toothache only got worse afterwards! Then I followed the stars and reviews to call Cheriton Dental, and booked an appointment with them for later this week. However I got an unexpected call back a few minutes later saying that they managed to fit me in this afternoon as I was in terrible pain! I was terribly grateful! The place is very nice with private parking which is convenient, staff are genuinely smiling, even the patient! The Dentist is very gentle and patient with me as I’m very sensitive person. He identified two causes for my pain one of which had been missed by the previous dentist. I am very happy with them, and my husband decided to register with them straight away. My experience is get the right dental practice and the right dentist for sorting out the pain! In addition Cheriton is very fairly priced. So definitely a 5 star service!
