Negative experience: My family and I used to get regular NHS dental check ups but a couple of years ago my last check up was cancelled by the surgery. Since then I was told that if I wanted a check up I needed to pay an initial fee of £120. I have since found out that my daughter still gets regular check ups at the normal NHS fees. To me this is very unfair.
Fantastic experience: Having recently registered with this surgery following my son having first class treatment there himself, I can only say dentist Alex and his nurse Sam were 110% so professional. Nothing was too much trouble , nothing rushed, everything explained to the full. If going to the dentist can be said “It was a delightful experience “ so be it.

Fantastic experience: Alex and his team are the best I have ever experienced. Alex is friendly and professional , he explains why he is doing the things he is doing and guides you as he works. Previously I have been in pain during dental procedures but have had no pain with any procedures with Alex at all. He is really reassuring. I couldn’t recommend him any higher! Also if you are someone who hasn’t been to a dentist recently there is no ‘telling off’ or shame attached here treats what needs to be treated and also treats you like a human.

Fantastic experience: I have been with this dentist for a number of yrs as an nhs patient, unfortunately the dentist left & after 2days still no nhs dentist available I have decided to have Sara as my private dentist. She is absolutely the best, so friendly, gentle & excellent at her job. I recently broke a tooth & had to have an emergency apt, although that cost me, once in the chair Sara said I had 2 options, leave or remove, I asked for her advice, she suggested leave it, which surprised me. Fantastic experience: I just had two teeth removed to prepare for braces, I was extremely nervous as I hadn't had any teeth removed and I hadn't even been under anaesthetic before. I'm also scared of needles so you can probably guess I was stressing out. But let me tell you, Sara was amazing. She talked me through the whole thing and kept checking if I was OK, and it just made the situation less scary and me feel way calmer. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: This morning I had to have a tooth extracted. I was a tad apprehensive at the thought. However, there was no need as Sara was first class. Sara explained everything that would happen and then kept talking to me throughout. And here's the incredible thing, there was no pain. Even when Sara was injecting the anesthetic there was no pain. I felt some pressure during the procedure which lasted about 30 mins but that was it. Sara was calm, professional, caring and friendly throughout. Which in turn kept me calm. A tooth extraction is never going to be your best day but Sara ensures it's pain free. It's 12 hours since my tooth was removed and I still haven't experienced any pain. If you're looking for a dentist this is the place.

Fantastic experience: Both Sara and her dental assistant were amazing. They were super friendly, and lovely from our first appointment. They talked us through everything and explained what we needed to have done (we knew she needed a root canal, but they explained the procedure more). My daughter is super scared of injections and was incredibly nervous, but they were great with her and really put our minds at ease. They did a great job on the tooth, with no pain & no stress. They reception staff were also really welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I cannot praise the staff at Werrington dentists enough, special thanks go to Jo the Hygienist and Sara my dentist. Not forgetting of course the receptionists Joanne and Emma (and the other two I can’t remember their names) who go out of their way to make my daughter, who is 45 and very Autistic, feel safe, happy and reassured. Without them I would really struggle to get my daughter through the door, let alone into the dentist chair. Over the last 3 or 4 years they have made friends with Sally and she trusts them. They were able to answer all my questions and queries regarding my dental health. They were both very kind and ensured i was involved in my dental treatment options. I started clear correct around 7 months ago and have just finished in time for our wedding, the whole process has been really smooth and gone perfectly to plan, I’m so pleased with how my teeth have turned out and it’s given me more confidence to smile!! Abu Baker has been great throughout, explaining the process and setting expectations, always kept to every appointment and made sure I was seen in time for the timings of each brace. Never an issue getting an appointment which has been perfect. Both Abu Baker and the lovely dental nurse (Nicola? Sorry if that’s wrong!!) made me feel at ease especially when I had quite a bit dental work done first with them, I’m scared of needles and they made the experience as quick and nice as possible. Fantastic experience: It is few weeks since Alex repaired my broken tooth, this has been very successful with no problems, and I would like to thank him for the care he gave me. My past experience of dentistry has not always been positive. What I liked was that Alex gave me a very comprehensive explanation of the process and possible alternatives. He took notice of the fact that I particularly dislike the gagging reflex caused by the water spraying and he used a method which reduced this effect. For me this has been the best experience of have ever had at the dentist’s.

Fantastic experience: Having put off the extraction of a broken tooth for many months I finally took the plunge and had my tooth out today. I admit I was mildly terrified but I absolutely needn’t have been. All the staff were fabulous and so kind and friendly. My dentist is wonderful and so reassuring and professional The whole process was about 20 minutes and I genuinely couldn’t be happier. Fantastic experience: Booked 1st appt Wednesday where we agreed to an extraction . Arrived Thursday and spoke to a charming lady on reception who said she was due to be celebrating her 60th birthday . Got called by the nurse into Sara's inner sanctum where , after making myself comfortable , we discussed the procedure . Thankfully , it went very smoothly and Sara and her nurse informed me every step of the way . Indeed , it was over sooner than I had hoped , which must be a good thing . I've kept the tooth ! Aftercare was exemplary and 5 hours later - no concerns . On leaving I thanked Sara and her colleague . At reception , I was given details about future check ups . Missing my tooth , but it had to unfortunately be removed .

Fantastic experience: Had an emergency appointment for toothache and a follow up appointment for treatment. I was given 3 possible outcomes, but most likely ending with an extraction and so I agreed to lose the tooth. On the day, everything was explained beforehand, anaesthetic, the procedure, what might go wrong and how it would be remedied etc It went ahead uneventfully with advice on what to do if I had any problems. I'm very happy with the service by Sara and her nurse (don't remember her name, sorry).

Fantastic experience: I was incredibly anxious about having a filling today but Alex and his nurse were so kind and patient. They made me feel at ease and gave me plenty of time. My youngest son is autistic and her patience with him is amazing. Took a few years for him to get into the chair instead of on my lap at check ups. But finally my son trusted her enough to sit in the chair alone. Yay. Sara assistant is always very polite and does a great job. It’s nice to have dentist that remembers and knows all of your family.
