Fantastic experience: Lovely staff, great service. I like the communication with the patients. They listen and offer quick treatment as needed, without pressure.

Negative experience: Quite a poor experience overall and I would not recommend this surgery. Confirmation emails and texts had incorrect details. Dentist arrived in the surgery 20 minutes late for his first appointment of the day (and he didn’t apologise). Very poor communicator and I had to drive the conversation to get the correct procedure. Was very heavy handed and rough during the treatment. Didn’t seem to have a good working process with the dental nurse. As an aside, the cost of the treatment was excessive.

Fantastic experience: A positive experience at Bupa dental. My dentist Sana and dental nurse Imogen really put me at ease straight away. They provided a calm environment and communicated really clearly. I am happy with the work carried out. The reception team are friendly and efficient. They dealt with my insurance admin swiftly. The facilities are good and the practice is bright and clean.

Positive experience: The only reason I am giving 4 stars not 5 is because I was on hold for quite a while when trying to book an emergency appointment, however it was Monday morning. The reception staff are always great and welcoming and the experience in the chair was calming and although I was scared, the procedure was pain free.

Fantastic experience: Bupa dental practice in Loughborough is a good spot for your dental care. Front desk staff are soft and professional. The dentist i saw is full of charm and loves his job. He is detailed and yet friendly. I devoted Liverpool fan.... the hygienist was also nice. I went with my entire family and everyone had a good experience. I will however suggest that coffee could be a good idea at the waiting area.

Fantastic experience: This has been my dentist for most of my adult life, and I'm glad for it. You need to feel you can trust your dentist and I can wholeheartedly say that I have every faith in Premal and his team. My recent wisdom tooth extraction was as easy as it gets, done in 15 minutes with no pain.

Fantastic experience: Having a needle phobia I’ve always struggled with dentists and have tried multiple practices who cater for nervous patients. After being referred to Neil at BUPA several years ago I discovered that dentist visits could actually be enjoyable! With the sedation I have no worry about having a needle in my mouth, and the reception and dental team are amazing at making you feel relaxed and very welcome. I wouldn’t go anywhere else

Fantastic experience: Always highly competent and pleasant staff. I have been a patient at the practice for many years, before it was Bupa, but the new staff are as good. The continuity of care by Prem is excellent.

Positive experience: I recently had an appointment with Dr. Sana Hussain at Bupa Dental , and the experience went smoothly from start to finish. I had some issues with my teeth, and Dr. Hussain took the time to listen, thoroughly check everything, and recommend a deep cleaning. After the treatment, all my concerns felt resolved. She also gave me clear aftercare advice and suggested a mouthwash to maintain my dental health. Since I have Bupa dental cover, the reception team handled everything efficiently, billing me according to my plan, and I even received my receipt directly on the Bupa app—super convenient! The only downside was finding a parking spot, which was a bit challenging. Other than that, everything was great, and I highly recommend Dr. Sana Hussain and the team for their professionalism and care.

Fantastic experience: I have been with this dentist for quite a few years now from Yoursmile to Bupa, they are very good and professional in what they do. But I am a bit concerned about the price at times as it seems a bit expensive, during cost of living crisis.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous to have my examination as its been a long time. i was greeted by the loveliest receptionist who reassured me once they realized I was nervous. they explained about the change in NHS and answered all of my questions and concerns. once with the dentist I was surprisingly relaxed, I put this down to the amazing care and understanding he gave me. I ended up running slightly over my time as the dentist wanted to make sure I completely understood everything and that I was happy with the service. any fear of the dentists that I previously had has completely disappeared. what an amazing practice

I also regularly see Premal the dentist. Recently I have had some real issues with my teeth and both Premal all dental nurses have been nothing but supportive and taken the upmost care in sorting these issues out for me! I am beyond grateful!

Fantastic experience: Let me begin with the fact that last week, this review would have been a 1 as they had no dentist, another hygienist leaving, no appointments….. I wasn’t sure how they were still open. However, the new dentist started this past week - Neil. I was seen as a private patient and my son as NHS. We were asked what we wanted from the dentist, if we had any concerns or plans for our teeth and we received the most thorough check up I have ever had! Both Neil and the dental nurse were really friendly, all checks were fully explained, advice to my son was really clear, taking the time to explain why, not just what and with no judgment. Follow up appointments with my son (NHS) are thorough to ensure future treatment is successful. Clear notes were also documented for my next hygienist appointment to ensure a joined up approach to my dental care, which again I don’t think has ever been the case in the past! It seems the surgery has been through a lot of change and yes, I’m now a private patient (which I appreciate isn’t an option for everyone) however I would highly recommend this dentist for the level of care we both received.

Positive experience: i totally agree with previous reviews.the practical side of the visit is marvellous putting you at ease during your appointment especially Neil Banton,he really makes you feel comfortable, in my opinion in an uncomfortable situation,but like the others the admin side confuses & challenges me,not young so annoys me when they want me to click on websites & they don.t work for me,text &E-mails fine & only 1 or 2 would be enough for anybody,i don.t need the hassle of getting other people i know to tell you i.ll be there or not.keep things simple.i.m of the generations that like to speak to real people.strange i know.

Positive experience: The clinical side is very good. However, on the admin side I find it rather tedious: I make my appointments and receive confirmation immediately (good). Then I get several (too many) emails, phone calls, voicemails and texts asking me to confirm I am going to turn up (within a week of my appointment). One of the emails asks me to click a link to confirm my intentions which I duly do, only to get more calls/voicemails asking the same question. When I phone back and leave a message to say I have received the messages, replied online and now confirm I know I have an imminent appointment and that I still intend to turn up, I get yet another phone call to acknowledge mine (yes, really - nice thought but) and I’m told if (tut) I respond online the message doesn’t go through to the practice so my question is … What’s the point of sending a link by email, Mr or Ms Bupa ? There’s just too much concern that I could be flighty enough to just ‘not go’, even though I have been turning up for years and years. And I find this extremely irritating. I’m afraid. After a difficult experience with a dentist years ago, I was extremely anxious about the procedure. However, from the moment I walked in, Prem and Abi made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Prem took the time to explain the process and address all my concerns, which really eased my anxiety. Throughout the extraction, he was gentle and attentive, ensuring I was okay every step of the way. Abi was equally supportive, providing reassurance and keeping me informed. Thanks to their compassionate care, what I anticipated to be a stressful experience turned out to be much easier than I could have imagined. Fantastic experience: My 7 year old daughter had a scooter accident yesterday and caused some damage to her new front tooth, we saw Neil today ( first time as usual dentist on annual leave) and I was blown away at how amazing Neil was with both of us ( very anxious mum) I can not thank him enough, such an amazing dentist and character. Please pass this messge on to him. Much appreciated.

Negative experience: I received negligent dental care from Premal Mehta in the interests of profiteering and failing to provide a duty of care to patients. Unnecessary and poor fillings. Failing to perform root canal when my tooth later became infected. Failure to take accountability and responsibility for his actions. Plus much more. This is now with a solicitor and legal action is being taken. It is also with the GDC, keep an eye on their website for further updates. Avoid this practice at all costs.

Negative experience: Terrible services. I joined early this year and paid 85 pound initial visit fee and needed a filling which was booked in. I couldn't attend 2 following appointments due to work commitments and I canceled prior to the appointment. And I tried to call and get the filling finally booked in and dr Metta has taken Me off there register as a patient because I cancelled. Absolutely terrible and clearly he's just there for the money and not the care of the patients.

Fantastic experience: Very efficient and superb staff; in and out in no time; very friendly receptionist and the dentist and hygienist were a very amicable duo, who made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Great to see lots of kids books and drawing equipment within the waiting room, which was generously stocked.

Fantastic experience: I have just finished having a crown and veneer redone, after my old ones had run their lifetime. Sana has been amazing throughout and explained the whole process thoroughly along with ensuring time to make sure everything done right without any rushing. I am absolutely over the moon with the results and cannot stop smiling. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Prem Metha has been my dentist since BUPA bought the Smile practice. Thankfully no major dental problems until I recently cracked an ageing front crown. From the off, Prem and his dental nurse Molly have been great. Friendly and professional but not over familiar. Prem talked me through the options from repair to replacement, including the costs, procedures, timeline and (minimal) risks (eg possible necessity for root canal treatment.) Thankfully the latter proved not to be necessary. The temporary crown worked well. The final replacement arrived early and Prem called my fitting appointment forward by a week. Throughout, Prem and Molly were superb. I have no hesitation in recommending Prem Metha, and I am happy to continue to using Smile and Prem for future check-ups, and any dental work I may require going forward.

Fantastic experience: I have intense anxiety and depression and haven’t seen a dentist in 7 years due to poor mental health. I finally decided to bite the bullet and went and got looked at, needed a filling and a clean. The entire team made me feel welcomed, nonjudgmental and overall fantastic, from Molly in reception to Neil who sorted out my teeth. Everyone is incredibly polite and thoughtful and made the experience so much better than what I expected compared to my previous dentist. Even when asking question you can see their experience and knowledge of everything going as far as explaining the process so I knew what to expect and learning a lot in the process. Even pain free! Will now definitely be coming in regularly as I feel it’s not as daunting and I feel a lot better in myself now I’ve sorted my teeth out. Thank you to the whole team for being amazing at your job.

Fantastic experience: I am currently on the Bupa plan, which allows me to pay monthly and covers 2 appointments per year with both the dentist and hygienist. This is good value and gives me peace of mind. The dentist Prem and hygienist Louise are always very professional, yet reassuring and friendly, as are all the staff. I would like to thank in particular The Dream Team...Louise and Lisa for their skill in making me feel very comfortable during my polish and scale appointment, this week.

Negative experience: I used to be a patient at this practice, but I won't be returning. The doctor manually removed my tartar, which felt outdated for the 21st century when ultrasound is widely used. The excessive anesthesia left my mouth numb for hours with little improvement, and my gums remained swollen. In contrast, a similar procedure in Thailand with modern equipment resulted in minimal discomfort and excellent outcomes. It's disappointing to see such low standards in UK dentistry. Never again.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always avoided going to the dentist personally as I find it quite daunting. From some toothache I finally decided to bite the bullet and I’m so glad I did. I see Neil and both him and Dee who is the main dental nurse he has with him when I attend are amazing!! I had a treatment plan which they were so good at explaining and I’m so happy with the results. Neil is very good at working with you, so any issues I had I explained and he worked around me to make me as comfortable as possible. It’s so nice to go to a dentist who cares and even remembers conversations from months ago to ask about and make chit chat, really makes you at ease. Fantastic experience: Bupa Dental Care Loughborough is my regular dentist and I have always been very happy with the service I have received from everyone involved. For example, on 26th March this year (2024) I attended to have some treatment recommended from my last check up. As ever, a very professional and friendly service. Staff on reception were welcoming, attentive and efficient. I was seen on time by Prem and Molly, and the treatment was once again explained to me by Prem. I was made comfortable and the stages of the process were outlined for me as we went along. I had a chance to have a break halfway through the treatment, and, at the end, Prem checked that there were no rough edges in my mouth, resulting from the work he and Molly had just completed. At the end I was advised on what to be aware of over the rest of the day. In summary, a very positive experience! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous/upset at breaking a front tooth and had other issues with another tooth. Neil and his assistant were brilliant! Neil ensured I was seen quickly and went over and beyond to get me sorted. He talked through all my options and made sure I was happy with my choices he also ensured that work will be completed in time for my daughter’s wedding! Thank you so much. I just wish that dental work was a little cheaper as costs can be huge.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Mr Banton for a filling. As a 16 year old this was quite daunting for me. However, I was treated with care and respect and was made to feel calm and relaxed through the whole appointment. Mr. Banton talked me through the whole process and reassured me at all times.
