Fantastic experience: We have had a very positive experience with Giffnock Orthopaedic Centre. From the initial referral to having all information explained along the process. They have been very prompt with allocating appointments and always managed to offer times that would not impact school times. Very efficient and accommodating.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, it took over 2.5 years for Dr Yas to realise what should be done to address my issue. By then I was tired of braces, had 2 healthy teeth removed and sore jaw joints. The process was suppose to fix a small problem by previous specialist didn't feel confident enough to fix. Fantastic experience: When I was referred to this orthodontist I was 15, teeth weren’t straight I had a 80% overbite, and just a typical teenager not taking care of my teeth. I can’t recommend this place enough my orthodontist George is amazing. Gives clear instructions of what to do, I have anxiety around medical places (from previous experiences) but the people are so welcoming and answer any worries you have. Also the environment is so calming there really isn’t anything to be worried about. Today after 3 years I finally got my braces off (it was my fault how long it took as again I just didn’t care when I was 15/16) but I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Now I’m not insecure about my smile thank you everyone @ giffnock orthodontist. Was a great experience. Please if u have teenagers that were like me I would highly suggest this orthodontist. Great work as always.

Positive experience: I’ve been coming to this practice for my Invisalign treatment. The staff are great and have always made sure I am happy with my teeth and answered any questions about my treatment plan. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is that sometimes it has been difficult to get an appointment or rearrange an appointment.

Negative experience: If you go here make sure George isn't your dentist. Came here for braces about a year ago, I only had a slight squint in two teeth and needed braces for about 5-6 months, had them in for about 3 months and George said it was time to remove them. I said to him my teeth weren't straight yet and I wanted to keep them on, he said no there's nothing else he can do for me so took them off and if I wanted them straighter I would need to get teeth removed to make more space (if this was the case this should have been stated at the consultation). I went for a consultation at another dentist to get a second opinion and they said I definitely didn't need any teeth removed. So I went back to speak to George about how I wasn't happy and I wanted the braces put back on, he said I obviously hadn't been wearing my retainer and that's why my teeth weren't straight although I'd obviously told him previously my teeth weren't straight enough for the braces to be removed. He put the braces back on for a month or two and all was fine my teeth where straight. Then it came to getting my retainers fitted, this was a nightmare I had to get about 10-15 impressions took and come back day after day as they couldn't get a retainer to fit my teeth properly, George blamed this on my teeth rather than there equipment. One of the dental nurses told me that the reason they couldn't get a retainer to fit me properly is because they use cheap materials to save money and also said that George has had issues in the past with patients. The retainer that they had finally given me still didn't fit and was far too loose and my teeth have moved back to there original position now making me need to pay again at another dentist to get Invisalign, save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Best orthodontic treatment I've had in 15 years, wish I'd found them sooner. Fantastic team, beautiful practice, and absolutely spotless. Had my first consultation on the 21st Nov, retainers fitted today. Dr Aljubouri is brilliant, and a big thanks to the girl that done my impressions for my Essix; really gentle compared to my previous two impressions done elsewhere. Oh, and they use vanilla flavoured putty/plaster impression stuff! Not really important but was a lovely change from the disgusting stuff that most other practices use. Can't thank you all enough.
