Fantastic experience: I have been using Elliot and Mccarthy for many years now and had many procedures. I used to be very wary of dentists but can honestly say that I have never (touch wood) had any discomfort during any procedure. The dentists and all of the staff are very professional and would recommend to anyone, the hygiene appointments are excellent and pain free using all latest technologies.

Fantastic experience: Despite having previously been a regular attendee for hygiene & check ups with another practice I feel this practice elevated my dental wellbeing to a whole new dimension. As an extremely phobic patient the prospect of establishing a relationship of confidence with a new dentist was an extremely daunting decision. Eighteen months on from my initial assessment I now feel that I have had the best possible care from the team at Elliott McCarthy and have the confidence to move forward with this team. Every member of staff I’ve engaged with has presented a professional and tailored approach, all have been considerate, respectful have given reassurance throughout my journey. This is a modern practice with the skills to utilise the latest technologies, encouraging preventative behaviours with regular check ups and oral hygiene education. What stands out for me is the personalised experience I receive. There is a genuine desire to meet both clinical and cosmetic needs, and although my treatment has been extensive, I am more than satisfied with the end result. Whilst I appreciate some may find the cost prohibitive there are options to fund treatment plans that make this work more accessible. In my opinion, the cost of such care has to be considered as being about more than just teeth - it can be something that improves the quality of life - whether that’s in relation to eating without pain or in whether is improving your confidence with a better smile. Overall I feel my dental wellbeing is in the safest of hands.

Smart premises and most importantly lovely receptionists and friendly and very professional dentists, nurses and hygienists. I can be quite apprehensive about visiting the dentist but I have felt very relaxed and confident that I am experiencing a good standard of treatment.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant dentists, I had lots of issues with my teeth and my original NHS dentist didn't treat the issues until they got too bad and had long wait times, after an emergency appointment with Elliot Mccarthy I decided to book a checkup, Dr Keith Tay was brilliant and very informative showing me where the problems where and how they can be solved, I felt a lot more confident my dental health was in good hands and all work was carried out in a gentle, caring manner and now I have finished my treatment I have paid for a yearly plan as I am more confident my teeth will be looked after here, all the staff and dental nurses where lovely and friendly too I felt it was professional but relaxed, now happy with no pain and problems!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to the practice for many years and cannot recommend all the staff I have encountered highly enough. I had a crossover in my front teeth which has annoyed me for years (even though others said it wasn't too bad!). Dr. Mccarthy went through all the options and we went with composite resin to build up the receding tooth. I was told that it wouldn't be perfect due to the positioning of the teeth. Dr. Mccarthy however was extremely patient and understanding and made an excellent job. It looks amazing, much better than I expected and I am really happy with it. I am smiling again in photos and wish I had done it years ago. Thank you Dr. Mccarthy

Fantastic experience: When I first came to Elliot and Mcarthy my teeth were painful and many were cracked and broken with abscesses after several years of not attending the dentist and poor dental treatment in the past. I have a significant amount of dental work and hygiene appointments. Understandably I was anxious about attending but across time I have been made to feel comfortable with Keith (dentist), Paul (hygienist), Julie (finance) the dental nurses and the administrators have made their best effort to look after me and make adjustments to help me stay calm across significant dental work including inlays extractions and many crowns. The end result is that and I can eat now without pain and in comfort and my front top teeth look better and I can smile easier. Thanks for your care and helping me feel less anxious and more confident in being to eat and making positive changes to my dental hygiene. Mark

Fantastic experience: As a disabled person, who also suffers from PTSD due to traumatic dental treatment in childhood, I refused to see a dentist for many years. However, a close friend, who has been a patient here for 20+ years, recommended this practice to me. I was initially sceptical (and terrified), but have since been overwhelmed by the kindness, understanding and patience shown to me by all of the staff. I've now had extensive treatment with Dr McCarthy and am well on my way to having a healthy mouth and much less fear. In addition to this, my disabilities and health issues were taken seriously from the outset. For me, visits involve a nearly 2-hour round-trip, but it's well worth the drive. I can't recommend this practice highly enough.

Negative experience: Finally saw the hygienist 20 minutes after my appointment time. Different if you are 15 minutes late.

Fantastic experience: I have always had problems with my gums not freezing properly , which has caused me to have phobia of dentists , I was never believed , since I have been seeing Mrs McCarthy I have finally found someone who understands and is so lovely , I actually let her do treatment without having to be sedated , I am still nervous but get better with every visit

Fantastic experience: Dr Tay is a credit to your practice, I have not been to a dentist in 10 years due to NHS availability, the experience I had with Dr Tay was nothing less than exceptional, he was always happy, explains in detail everything you want to know, supported with additional checks if you need your mind putting to rest & nothing was ever a problem for him and his team. The practice are great at follow up calls to check if you are OK after the treatment you had allowing follow up checks if required, overall I cannot thank them enough for their care & efficiency.

Fantastic experience: Being an older nervous patient after chilhood dental traumas and being new to the area. I was very nervous about finding a new dentist. I finally plucked up the courage and contacted Elliot McCarthy for an appointment. The receptionist was very friendly and halpful so appointment was booked. I anxiously drove to what is an immaculate setting with very modern equipment and very friendly staff. I met with Dr Pauline McCarthy of whom again was very friendly and had a soft and gentle approach. I was given a full examination and soon felt at ease. I have since been back for a filling. I can't express just how pleased I am to have found such a wonderful dental surgery that makes me feel at ease.

Fantastic experience: I recently attended Elliott McCarthy for treatment to replace inlays with dental crowns in 3 of my teeth and can honestly say this was the best experience I could of hoped for. The service provided was extremely professional and easy from my initial assessment, to scheduling of appointments, to the quotation / finance stage and there were even post treatment follow up calls provided. A special mention to Doctor Keith Tay who did a superb job on my teeth, making a complex procedure as comfortable / quick as possible and most importantly pain free. Not only does my mouth feel much better it also looks way better and there is no doubt this was money well spent. If you want a dental practice that can be relied upon to do a first class job and also cares about its customers then choose Elliott McCarthy every time.

Positive experience: The treatment, as always, was excellent. I am less sure about the forthcoming subscription plan. For all that subscription systems smooth cash-flows and are becoming common, I don't have to like them - and I don't. I much prefer to pay [for private treatment] on an ad hoc basis. If it were not for this impediment, I would happily recommend you with 5 stars.

Positive experience: Dentist was originally great, doing everything possible to help, however even after around 1 hour in the chair, their was issues with the cast she took for a crown, the crown didn't fit. Reception staff were fantastic though, couldn't help enough with appointment times to fit work and calling when agreed as per after care

Fantastic experience: I always used to feel anxious about going to the dentist, but since attending this practice, I have no worries. All the staff are really friendly and always make you feel so welcome. When I had treatment, the process was clearly explained to me, and they made it as comfortable as possible, offering me breaks in between, but they weren't needed as I never had any pains what so ever. Plus the TV above the chairs are such a good touch and make the experience a lot more relaxed!
