Fantastic experience: As someone who is petrified of the dentist and having gone through a horrible experience with a failed root canal years ago i honestly couldn’t be more grateful to Mariyam. Not only has she managed to do an incredible job on a very tricky tooth she has also made the whole experience a whole less frightening with her caring nature. I couldn’t recommend her and Kentish smiles more.

Negative experience: The receptionist was very rude to me I made a call earlier on the way to asking for permission if incase We can be late maximum 5- 10 minutes due to the traffic, however the receptionist said was we are not allowed to be late even 1 minute. She asked me have to be on time with my appointment 9:45am (1st November)if we are not arriving 9:45am then she will cancel our appointment Then luckily we were running and arrived 9:42am but she asked us have to wait another 20 minutes without said anything

Fantastic experience: I visited this clinic for root canal treatment. Dr. Mariam did a fantastic job. The procedure was smooth and no pain ata all.

Fantastic experience: I needed a root canal done and a crown fitted on top, I was referred to Mariyam, she was amazing. Being worried about getting the root canal she answered all my questions thoroughly and made me feel at ease, completely sorted my tooth out I am very happy with the results.

Negative experience: I had two appointments with the same lady, and during both visits, I was encouraged to consider private treatment rather than NHS options. During my first visit, I had an infection in a tooth that previously had a root canal. She claimed the NHS wouldn’t cover treatment for a tooth that had already undergone a root canal and said my only options were a private treatment or extraction. I reluctantly went ahead with the extraction — only to later discover that the NHS does cover infections on root canal–treated teeth. At my second appointment, for a different tooth, the same lady informed me that root canal treatments aren’t covered by the NHS. When I mentioned that I’d previously had one done under the NHS, she clarified that the specific type of root canal required wasn’t available at that clinic under NHS band and that a private option would be needed. I was also offered the alternative of a hospital referral, which I was told could take over 1–2 years. I chose the hospital referral option but haven’t received any updates since then. I won’t be returning to this clinic — and I regret losing a tooth because of this misleading advice. Edit: I’ve removed the comments about the commissions as that was my assumption due to the way they were highlighting the private treatments, but I’m keeping the rest of my comments .. A few people I know have had similar experience with this clinic — So I’m sure I’m not the only one who has gone through this. The clinic responded saying, “Our clinician correctly referred you for NHS specialist treatment, but unfortunately, your referral was declined.” However, I was told that retreatment wasn’t covered within the 10 minutes of my first day of visit. Are they suggesting that they made a referral, received a decision, and informed me of it — all within just a few minutes? They gave me two options — to go private, which would cost around £800, or to have the tooth removed. I chose the extraction option, received the NHS referral within two weeks, and had the tooth removed through the NHS.

Fantastic experience: Contacted them on sunday, as hubby had a horrible toothache. Was able to register with them for NHS dentist on Monday, first appointment on tuesday. He needed his teeth being pulled out, which was done too on the tuesday appointment. Team and dentist lady really really amazing, helpful, respectful. Highly recommended! Thank you again

Negative experience: My experience with Dr. Beata Malek was deeply concerning. I returned to the clinic to have an extraction completed that she had started the previous week, which had left me in severe pain and discomfort. When I voiced my concerns about the procedure, she became immediately defensive and hostile, rather than providing reassurance. Her lack of empathy towards a nervous patient was shocking. Instead, she told me that a single extraction could take up to three hours - which I found to be a major red flag. A more proficient dentist elsewhere completed the extraction in just 15 minutes, with no pain or issues. The difference in skill and professionalism was night and day. This level of incompetence is unacceptable, and the hostile response to my concerns was unprofessional. I have been a patient at this clinic for a while and have never experienced anything like this. I would strongly advise anyone considering Dr. Malek to proceed with extreme caution.

I was offered an appointment with Kentish Smiles, which I took. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, it was such a pleasant experience from all the staff. Fantastic experience: I was visiting another dentist nearby who had advised me I would need 2 root canals to be done which they would not be able to do as they didn’t have all the right tools to carry out the work as it was a very tricky root canal. They advised for me to book into there sister practice in Maidstone where I would have to start the whole process from scratch and pay for initial consultation and specialist x-rays again. Hence joining Kentish smiles and after my initial consult here I did indeed need 2 tricky root canals as they were both under crowns done maybe 10-15 years ago. Mariyam Hasnain was my dentist to carry out the work, and she went above and beyond carrying out a difficult removal of crowns, cleaning out the original canal on the first tooth and finding and making canals on the second calcified tooth.She worked quickly and with perfection on both these operations, the second ran over 30 mins more than the allocated time to ensure I didn’t have to have another appointment as this whole procedure has ran into 6 or 7 appointments in total. At every stage she has informed me clearly what she is doing and why and given me all the options as to how to proceed. Very happy with Kentish Smiles and Mariyan in particular for saving a tooth that was 50/50. Would recommend 100% to any one to give them a try and hope you have the same painless experience as myself.

Fantastic experience: I booked consultation with Mariyam for root canal . I was bit worried of losing my tooth but she reassured me and guided me very well. After all the checkups . she did my root canal , was quite comfortable without any pain the procedure was done . Also her assistant was professional and they both made this process stress free and painless. Such a lovely experience I had with Mariyam. She is generous and very polite . Fantastic experience: I have attended this dentist twice having been on an extended hiatus from dentists for almost a decade. I was recommended it so bit the bullet and signed up as an NHS patient. I can say without any shadow of doubt it was the best decision I've made in years. IRINA GREIDANE has looked after me. The treatment has been pain free. Detailed but simple explanations are given. You may have to wait a lil longer than your allocated slot. But, Irina needed a coffee. But, if that coffee is the difference between world class care or something less. Have two cups Irina I know how you feel. I'm honestly looking forward to my next appointment. I left my appointment knowing work had been done but feeling like my mouth hadn't been invaded at all.

Fantastic experience: Would definitely recommend this dentist, I am a very nervous patuent tbut the staff and especially Maddy she is by far an asset to this dentist, having bit been to the dentist for 20 years I felt safe and no judgement from and staff member. Reception staff always have..a smile and are happy to help. Highly recommended I feel like a new person with a lovely smile to be proud of.

Dental practitioners were good and talkative, explaining exactly what treatment they were to be doing . Extraction and dental cleanse carried out. Very pleased with how much cleaner my teeth are now. Fantastic experience: I booked the consultation with Mariyam for the root canel and I was worry about pain and the side effect having root canel done. Mariyam answer all my questions and reassured me each steps that they do when doing the root canel. On the day of the root canal appointment, Miriyam went through the whole process again step by step and reassuring me again not to worry. During the proccess of my root canal, I did not feel any pain at all, it was so comfortable and did not feel a thing. After the root canal and when the anesthetic worn off, i still did not feel I had my root canal done nor did I feel any pain. The next step Mariyam have explained I needed the crown to be done and she explained to me the fitting of my crown and the sort of crown they do. Overall, Mariyam is a fantastic dentist, she has given me the reassurance, step by step guide how the root canel proccess and she answered all my questions that I needed to know. I would recommend to all my friends, families and my work colleagues if they want their root canel done. Thank you Mariyam Hasnain for everything. Negative experience: Enrolled as nhs patient As had very bad toothache with wisdom tooth paid for nhs consultation and then was put privately for new denture Next visit to have tooth removed this didn’t happen After about 2 to 3 months of cancelled appts and loads of impressions was still left with tooth to be removed and wanting denture to go away on holiday did not happen I finally refused to go anymore after I had already complained once before about problems with continuous impressions They had a deposit of 600.00 And was not refunded all back Which I feel very bad as one denture came back being lower completely wrong and didn’t even tequest lower should have been top denture I can’t fault the staff as very nice but agree with another comment on here I think they are not fully qualified and was left very disappointed I am now going abroad with temporary denture that doesn’t fit and bad toothache

Fantastic experience: My front teeth were extremely bad and I have never liked the dentist so was put off for years. I had a total of 5 root canal and 5 crowns with absolutely no pain at all, the root canal was painless and comfortable throughout. Very pleasant experience with no pain. Mariyam and assistant were so nice and professional. They both made the whole process extremely stress free, especially for someone who hates going to the dentist. I really couldn't recommend this enough.

Negative experience: Attended an appointment for a broken cap at the front of my mouth. Ended up coming away with an appointment for a clean and removal of 2 rear teeth. I was told by the 'dentist' that universal credit would prefer me to get my other teeth done and that they would agree with her that my broken cap (now missing) is not important. Very very strange experience where the lady seems to think she decides the treatments I have. Despite telling her I don't want any other treatment or expensive cleaning before repairing the broken front tooth, I was nevertheless booked in for these treatments without being booked in for the very thing I went there for. It became obvious within 20 seconds that this lady is on commission and isn't really interested in listening to what you are asking for but instead is very obviously under instructions to strap you up for as much as possible. Very polite staff at reception but the Russian 'dentist' lady is very intense and very pushy. After leaving the surgery I immediately contacted them though WhatsApp to express my concerns and to make it clear that I would like the treatment I specifically went for to be booked in and to cancel the unrequested treatments. I must have told the 'dentist' 3 times whilst in the room that I'm there to fix my broken front tooth and that I'm not interested in any other treatments. She didn't listen but instead carried on ignoring me and continued to book me in for the treatment I said I didn't want. Very very strange experience. Didn't feel like a dentist appointment but rather a sales meeting. I have finally managed to get the next appointment to actually address the main issue I went for so I'll update with another review once I've attended. I think it's important this is documented because this is not a normal 'dental practice' from my experience.

My dentist was kind and gave me time to talk about my concerns and provide the treatment plan I needed with no problems . The dentist waiting area is spacious and and light and if you have any concerns they are really supportive and understanding. Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with the dental care services this is a second time . The treatment was poorly done, and it seemed like the staff were still learning on the job. I felt like they haven’t treated properly and still I couldn’t believe how they finished with in 2mins ! And she didn’t answer my question!

Fantastic experience: Last August, I had terrible toothache and was told to get an extraction done by two separately dentists. I didn't go ahead as the pain subsided. Last week, the tooth chipped and I had a appointment with Dr Mariyam Hasnain. She's the best dentist I've ever had. She advised I try a root canal and also confirmed it's 50:50 but she "never gives up on a tooth". I followed the advised, booked my surgery and she saved my tooth! She is very meticulous, patient and totally professional. I highly recommend her and will only book her for my examinations going forward.

Fantastic experience: Mariyam was the lovely dentist I was referred to when the crack in my tooth which I was going to have an onlay attached too became infected & I required a tooth canal procedure with a crown. Maryam was very professional & skilled & was able to save my tooth, the procedure was painless and I was booked in for 3 weeks to have the Crown fitted but I was able to return 10 days later as my crown had arrived & after Mariyam applied a few adjustments to the crown it was fitted perfectly. Negative experience: Went to have an initial check up for my 3 kids and register them which was especially needed after one of my kids had an accident recently which needed to be looked further. The dentist barely looked in their mouths more than 2 secs and was very dismissive when I highlighted the recommendation made from another dentist I had seen in urgent care prior. Her blazè response was 'come back in 3 months'. When I explained this was too long and why she fobbed me off again. Defo not somewhere I would recommend for kids or just that I got a dentist who can't be bothered to offer a good service.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and non judgmental staff, receptionist very happy to help register my daughter and book her first dental appointment (9 months old) treated us so well and as individuals with plenty of advice for the babies teeth that are coming through thick and fast. Negative experience: With regret I have to write a review. Unfortunately, it seems that there is a confusion with the dentists and their charges. They are very keen to charge you additional costs, thankfully I am very aware of the NHS band treatments and so didn’t fall into their trap. I have also noted they consistently tell you to book with an hygienist privately when realistically this can be done on the NHS as a band 1 treatment, if clinically needed. Please keep this in mind before you pay! On the bright side the staff are lovely and always polite, sadly it’s just a money drawn dentist.

Negative experience: Extremely unhelpful, will not give you feedback. Will just take an X-ray and not speak to you about any feedback. Only after the money.

Negative experience: We have been very disappointed with this dentist so far and I’m not sure we’ll continue there. First, we went for our introductory appts in October and the x-ray machine was down, but no one bothered calling us to cancel the appt, which is a big deal when you have to do all of this travelling with a newborn baby. All they did was look in our mouths for about 2 minutes and then book our hygiene appt. It was quite ridiculous. Next we find out that whoever was supposed to have booked our appts booked my husbands, but not mine causing a whole mess. They were graciously able to still fit me in that day, but then upon leaving they tried to tell us that we didn’t pay for our previous appt in October. I had to pull up my bank account just to prove that I did. Then when we left, they later contacted my husband to send a screenshot of the bank transaction. I’m sorry, but we’ve seen a lot of incompetence so far and I think people should be aware. What I can say is that the person who did our cleaning was lovely and very kind.

Fantastic experience: As someone who is petrified of dentists and spent all my adult life avoiding dentists due to a nasty experience as a child , i can say the dentists at this clinic are amazing , they put my mind at ease , they were calm and VERY caring . The clinic at dartford is clean and very calming , what hit me first was there was NO noise of drills etc coming from the treatment rooms which i found really settling , as there is nothing worse than sitting in the waiting room hearing the high pitch drill . If you are a nervous person then i would defo reccomend kentish smile 100%

Fantastic experience: Wow I'm so impressed with the lovely dentist and her nurse. I needed a tooth extraction at the back and they did it there and then, no questions asked, they were so supportive and gentle with me as I'm super nervous of the dentist and also very needle phobic! All of the equipment is very modern and new, and the whole place is spotless. I've honestly never felt so comfortable and looked after by a dentist before and I actually look forward to going back which is a first!
